Asked for a pour over coffee and was told the machine is broken , that s odd since it s a manual process with all the components in place. It s a shame to have qualify coffee like Verve being served but a staff unwilling to make coffee. Honestly if you don t want to make pour overs just take it off the menu or automate the process.

My 1st visit to the CapitalOne Cafe, and it didnt disappoint. On the corner of State St. & Monroe St was right in front of the building for my 9am appointment, so it was a perfect opportunity to try it out. Walked in and was immediately greeted and actually heard. Agent heard me comment on how nice it was and welcomed me , invited me to look around and enjoy the variety of coffee. Pleasant surprisewas that Capital One customers get that 50% off perk if we pay with our capital one card, so definitely a must stop when the Capital One Cafe is in the area. Loved the spacious seating, and although it has a business has cozy spots to enjoy that savory dessert and hot coffee. I ordered a hot Mocha Latte . The latte was great for my taste, sometimes they tend to mw to sweet, but the oat milk it was perfectly balanced for me. The service staff was friendly and welcoming from entry, ordering, and delivery. The Counter was engaging when I asked what she recommended. I had a good experience, I will look forward the the same service at other locations. Definitely a relaxing spot to drop by and people watch over a hot cup of coffee

Located on the corner of S. State St. & W. Monroe St. next to Champs Sports Store. As Capital One customers, we always make sure to visit their Café when we see one, especially because we get that 50% off perk if we pay with our capital one card. The café is spacious with plenty of seating and nicely organized. Today, we ordered a hot Chai Tea Latte and a regular hot cup of coffee. The latte was a bit watery and not enough chai flavor for my taste, but the coffee was fresh. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall, we had a good experience at this location.

I particularly enjoyed their fresh coffee and tasty pastries. Additionally, the free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating make it an ideal spot for studying or meeting up with friends. One unique feature of the Capital One Café is the financial advice and services available. It s convenient to be able to get some work done, enjoy a good cup of coffee, and receive financial guidance all in one place.Overall, my visit to the Capital One Café was fantastic. Pastries are freshly made, overall its a good capitol one. Because its popular I think the size should be bigger. Often outside its hard to sit but inside is really nice. You will have the occasional digital nomad taking up a seat for quite a while, but you will find seats inside. The staff is really good, helpful, happy and professional. It has a nice vibe, but often inside it can get a bit loud just because the sound reverberates thought the glass windows but thats because Americans tend to be quite loud when they speak. Its a good place to get a coffee and a pastry. Wheelchair accessibility: You will access, however even though its doable there is a narrow path at the entrance door and cornering with your wheelchair can be slightly tricky but its okay, its just not perfect. You might end up going in through the exit because its easier and more accessible

Their open hours are listed incorrectly. They stop serving espresso at 6:30pm on weekdays (and they are extreme sticklers about it, I arrived at 6:35), rendering the cafe essentially a lackluster convenience store at that point. The espresso, since its Verve, is definitely good, but not if you cant get it. The mocha isnt too sweet, which is great. No one was there when I arrived, I just waited at the register for several minutes before asking one of the Capital One employees if they were open, he said they were, which was also functionally incorrect as all they had was coffee like a 7-11. Most places stay open until their closing time and then clean up the machine after, but not this place. So just know that going in. Or maybe they could change their hours to reflect the truth of their service. Because over promising and under delivering is never a good look, but under promising by changing their hours to 6:30pm on Google would go a long way.

I have been a regular visitor to this Capital One Cafe since I became a banking customer. However, my recent experience during the Summer Solstice Celebration event has been so disappointing that I ve decided not to return. On Thursday around 6pm, I noticed a promotion for free handcrafted beverages. Despite the long line and the apparent bottleneck caused by having only one staff member taking orders and making drinks, I decided to wait patiently, understanding that promotions can bring challenges. The staff member was taking orders in batches of three. After 20 minutes, it was finally my turn. Unfortunately, as the last person in my group, I was informed that I couldn t order a handcrafted beverage because they were turning off the espresso machine at 6:45pm. This was confusing because the customer before me had just ordered an espresso drink seconds earlier. Instead, I was only offered drip coffee or hot tea, which was not part of the promotion. I pointed out that it was only 6:42pm, but the staff member insisted that he needed the remaining time to prepare the drinks for the previous customers, leaving no time for mine. This felt absurd and unfair, especially since other customers before and after me received their special drinks without issue. To make matters worse, my coffee was not even offered with milk. I understand that the drink was free and I shouldn t expect much, but if I had known this was the experience, I could have used my time more wisely elsewhere. This experience left me feeling insulted and discriminated against. Given the poor handling of the situation and the lack of customer service, I will not be visiting this place again.

On the first level, youll find the order counter and lots of seats, while the second level has the restroom along with more seating. The large windows bring in lots of natural light and the place is pretty quiet. Theres music playing but not too loud and theres a lot of people on the 2nd floor also doing remote work creating a great atmosphere for remote work. The Wi-Fi is solid and easy to connect to, and there are plenty of seats with tables and power outlets for convenience.

I went there with some friends because they said it was a relaxing place to go. This is a cafe run by a financial company called Capital One. Its very spacious inside, and there are seats on the second floor. I saw many people studying or working with their computers open. There was also a meeting room on the second floor, where some groups were having meetings. This place is spacious, clean, and comfortable, but there are no meals. Just muffins and drinks. I ordered a bagel and a small coffee. This cost me a little over $8. Also, the card payment screen appeared at the register, so I paid by card, but how much should I tip? It came out. The minimum amount is $1. Isnt a $1 tip a lot for something that costs $8? I also wondered if it would be a good idea to take a tip when the service is just served at the counter. Everyone around me was confused by this, However, it seems like there are many people who always pay, thinking it would be bad if they didnt. I also paid $1. Because I dont understand the current situation in the US. When I came to America, I heard many stories from people around me about tips and surcharges at restaurants. I heard that tipping was created for people in the hospitality industry who are paid low wages. However, there were many opinions such as whether it is necessary to pay high tips because the salaries of people in the hospitality industry are good these days. This is off-topic, but this cafe only serves drinks. Its great if you want to study slowly. If you have a Capital One card, drinks are half price. Then its a great deal.

The capital one cafe is great for anyone who s looking for a place to be productive. There s two floors, plenty of seating, and even a meeting room that you can reserve for free. The drinks are okay, but overall hit or miss depending on what you order. The menu is limited, but what they lack in options they make up for in their environment and customer service. Not to mention, that you get a hefty discount on your drinks if you use a capital one card. I would recommend going here if you want a new spot to get some work done.

I had a very frightening experience today at this particular capital one cafe. A man came so close to my face & punched his hand right next to me and then started to walk towards me again, security did nothing! They didn t say anything while it was happening, what is the point of security if they are not kicking people out that are assaulting customers in store. They just watched while it happened. Someone came up to me & asked how I was & gave me a coupon for a free drink two minutes afterwards this location feels unsafe .

The workspace in here is great with extremely fast internet. I wish there were more seating with larger tables. My issue is, I came here and got a single drink, the cost was $7.50 for this one drink. And the bathrooms didn t have soap in them. For the price of this drink, the bathrooms should never be without soap. Bathrooms shouldn t be without soap ever. But in a bank, where they also have a cafe, that s priced this high. Please keep soap in the restrooms so that individuals can maintain their hygiene. And the drink was not great. Workspace amazing, being that I don t want to just go in and use the workspaces, please have a better selection of drinks (caramel should be an option) and the pricing. I left my capital one card at home. I was asked if I had one and just said no for concenience. I found out later that the drinks are 50% off if I had my card. This should be clearly mentioned by the staff. I would have went and got the card or used my phone. I ve sat in the same area but I ve noticed there doesn t seem to be charging ports for laptops and other devices at the places ive sat and looked at. Update: A week after my first visit, I returned and the bathroom still had no soap. Update: absolutely horrible service here. Unacceptably rude! It seems to be one specific female worker with a bad attitude all the time. Looking at other reviews, I m clearly not the only one who has noticed this horrible attitude at an establishment that I m giving money to. This is in regard to the customer service from the barista

Stumbled into a Capital One Café for the first time and man, it was a game changer! I was just looking to make a cash withdrawal, but ended up staying for a work meeting and so much more. **What I Liked:** - Being able to grab some cash and then jump into a work meeting? Super handy. - Theyve got a solid snack selection. Plus, a discount on coffee? Yes, please. - Everyone was so welcoming and knew their stuff. Got my first coffee on the house just because I mentioned it was my first visit. How sweet is that? - This was a fun surprise. They had free pins. Its like those pins people trade at Disney World. Grabbed a couple and now Im kinda hooked. Wondering if theyre different at every café... **What I didn t dig:** - In the heart of the city, so parking can be a pain. Not a lot of street spots available. - The air-conditioning was a bit loud. Made finding a quiet spot for my teams meeting a tad challenging. All in all, Capital One Café isnt just a bank - its like a cool coffee spot where you can also handle your finances. Would totally drop by again, especially to see if theyve got new pins to collect!

My experience has been highly disappointing. The ambience in cafe is overall good. However, The Peet s coffee here have baristas who are highly non courteous, rude and disrespectful. I asked for a Nitro cold brew and they silently gave me an iced coffee. When I questioned about it, the barista told we don t have nitro cold brew. I ve been here 4-5 times and they never have any Frappes, Mocha, or any handcrafted drinks. Always had an unwelcoming experience, so not going there anymore.

Coffee is what you would expect from a Peets Coffee. Nothing special. The spaciousness and interiors are what makes this a great cafe. Perfect for getting work done or studying. Seating is top notch and works as a great place to take a break from the shopping nearby!

It was ok, the ambassador did his job in a helpful and professional manner. The security at the door needs some training in greeting people or should be a prison guard, as he made me feel like a criminal as I was just trying t buy a cd. Left a bad taste in my mouth. As if i didnt belong in there, another black man treating a black man like he is better, what a shame. I am so disgusted and ashamed. Coffee was good.

I am a senior citizen and not really computer savvy. I was greeted by Luther who walked me through the bill paying process at the ATM. He is an incredibly patient, polite and kind young man. He had me done with my payment in record time. He also suggested the coffee. Great guy and great experience. I actually did get a coffee at 5 minutes to closing time and again, an incredibly nice young man named Marquis went out of his way to make me a coffee. This place has incredibly patient and knowledgeable people working there. My thanks to both Luther and Maurquis.

Of the Capital One Cafés I ve visited (all two of them) this S State Street location edges out N Clybourn Ave for a handful of reasons. First and foremost, the team on duty was not only incredibly welcoming and attentive, but also might be amongst the most professional I ve dealt with over the last 3+ years as a google guide. After asking if it would alright to take a few photos and videos for the review, they not only took time out of their schedule to walk me through the various work and study spaces at the café (which are quite exemplary, although we ll get into their specifics shortly), but also found some new client swag that I could use to really make the footage pop. It might sound trivial but after the number of times I ve been met with indifference by staff while putting together a review, who should ideally want to better the brand s public facing image via the Internet, this experience really emphasized the Capital One standard of excellence in my opinion. + 3.25 On to the Café s ambiance and decor: The open air - double decker - floor layout makes for an incredibly stimulating workspace. With a center staircase flanked by floor to ceiling bay windows, and a row of countertops and seating that face out onto S State Street, plus a full service Peet s Coffee and space to lounge, the first floor is more than equipped for a quick coffee on the go or a full day work-a-thon. +0.5718 Not to mention there happens to be three additional nooks tucked behind the Capital One welcome booth. Specifically, their Money & Life Mentoring nook, complemented by Nook 2 and Nook 3. Plus a conference room dedicated to Educational and Nonprofit enterprises. +0.5718 Additionally, on the second floor there is another multi-purpose private conference room, and several work alcoves, compete with cozy upholstery and an abundance of natural light. +0.5718 4.9654 / 5.0000

One of my fav cafe. Its for everyone whether you have a capitol one account or not. I got the seasonal caramel apple latte and its so delicious. Theres many seating areas with outlets available through out the store. Perfect for studying, doing work, or taking a break. The best thing about this spot is that if you do have a capitol one card, using it will give you 50% off your drinks which is very worth. Otherwise the coffee is quite pricey... Capital One is so frustrating and the only reason I stay is because I do a lot of international travel and there s no transaction fees. This location, nobody has the same answer and their explanations change. Nobody knows what they are talking about whatsoever. They need to be trained and given information so all their answers align. If they don t know something they want to transfer you to customer service and they don t speak English so it s impossible to understand anyone!

YES, Capital One Cafe State Street through ilts brand ambassadors Chrissy, and DeeDee truly extend and represebt its mission statement of being all about the people. Siix months ago I was welcomed into the Capitol One family with a credit card that has had such a positive impact on my life. Having heard of the cafe, by making an inquiry call with Angel an equally customer centric anbassador, I put it on my to do list to visit, And on April 26, 2022 it was a WOW from the education provided and the environment. This is banking done right. And I feel certain whether you want to deposit $10 or your lotteyr winnings into your account equanimity, regard, and value for YOU shall be the first priority.

Capital makes everything so easy. I just deposit a bunch of checks and cash with no problems. The ATMS work fine. Occasionally a bill gets reject but it may just need a bent corner straighten out and try again. I love that they have a Peets Coffee on sight and for Capital One accounts holders you get a discounted price! The coffee here is better than Starbucks up the street and they have a much nicer and larger seating area so its more covid aware. The building takes up the corner of State and Monroe. They also had out snack bags! Yay! I needed one. I love Capital One.

Came in here asking do you guys have a decaf coffee? I was told yes. Was charged for it. And then turned out they needed to brew it ( which will take a minute - but this is another lie, it takes around 5-8 minutes). I asked for a refund and was told they dont know how to make it. No apologies. So they stole money from me and I was left with no choice but to insist they give me a your coffee is on us card so I can at least get coffee some other time. Again, no we are sorry or come back, please. Nothing. PS an update: came here an hour later, the manager of the store was not able to refund me, and no apologies, as if it wasn t them stealing money from me.
