Update: The stock (copy/paste) response to everyones post is equally frustrating and insulting. Instead of addressing staffing issue, were talking about the mobile app? Thats ridiculous. More functionality with the mobile app/ATM is not going to solve your issues. Clearly you are in a heavily populated area that has face to face branch teller needs. Hire more staff. No matter what time of day (AM, lunch, PM), there is a line out the door and/or only 1-2 tellers, when there are 4 teller lanes at the counter. This is a Staffing issue that corporate is Clearly unaware of but Ill be finding a telephone number to alert them. This is a real issue, and is unacceptable to wait sometimes almost an hour for banking services. Any other NFCU branch Ive visited has adequate Staffing and the wait is reasonable from 0-15 minutes) ---- Original post The Worst Navy Federal branch Ive experienced. ATMs are intermittently down, wait lines for tellers regularly exceed 45-60 minutes. Ive lived here for over a year and this is the norm, not an exception. I love Navy as a whole, great benefits, rates, loan options etc, but the customer service and wait time is ridiculous! Every single time I visit this branch I have to wait a minimum of one hour, minimum! They have 8 offices and only 1 person working in them. They move extremely slow and it s mind boggling how many people are sitting around pushing papers or not doing anything at all. The lines are constantly out the door for the teller and I have had to remind them that I was even there still waiting on several occasions. Not very Demure, not very mindful. Very frustrating when this is the only location within 30 miles.

Unbelievable how we were treated at this location. We were going to open a savings account. So glad that we did not. I guess being that we were White - maybe that had something do with it. Was there for about 1 1/2 hours. No one waited on us. People coming in were getting waited on and we were completely overlooked. Finally asked someone and they said it must have been overlooked. Absolutely dont recommend Navy Federal Credit Union and my husband is a Veteran having served in the Navy Seabees. Terrible location!!!!

I largely like this branch. The staff greeted everyone who came in and again when they left. And when I got to the counter, Ashley was very informative, thorough, and patient. However, they definitely need more tellers. A line formed very quickly even with relatively short transactions.

The Branch leader here on 07/15/24 at 11:30 is horrible Making excuses.. only 1 teller.. the handicap lane wasn t even manned.. She says people out sick 5 reps serving in the little rooms and only 1 teller 20 people waiting in line..The service here is horrendous.. Great place for checking/savings etc, but very terrible for debt consolidation loans. Apparently they have the bar set so high that even someone with no late payments, nor any derogatory actions listed, they will not approve you for a debt consolidation loan if you have (you cant make this up), debts. Then when you make an appeal to clarify the point that your credit history is great, they still decline you with the reason being that you have debt. Then when you publicly complain about this they give you some nonsensical response instead of just owning up to what they do. I can see why they were sued.

I am standing in line on Saturday morning, June 15th, 2024 at this Navy Federal location with a ridiculous wait time! This makes zero sense to have TWO tellers to assist members at this location. I have NEVER had to experience this type of wait times with any other bank. Then, the front attendant is telling people to stand outside because of how long the line and room capacity! FIX THE DAMN ISSUE and hire some more tellers to help people! This is absolutely ridiculous. I cannot believe this bank is still standing with this kind of customer service. Im not surprised at all that Navy Federal Credit Union is still practicing Jim Crow racism. In 2016, I attempted to get a home loan and was only approved for $150k. I went to another lender and got approved for $285k. This is why other races get left behind on the economic playing field, while others manage to thrive no matter what.

I come to NFCU and patiently wait in the hour + long line to get the specific denominations I need and to exchange the dirty bills they give me for cleaner ones. Today I was told they dont know who did this in the past, but they shouldnt have and refused to do so. This has never been an issue at any branch Ive ever visited (including this one) until today. The owners copy and paste response on the negative reviews just made me decide to switch to another credit union altogether.

Definitely use to be a great branch at one point in time with giving grade A customer service. I waited my whole lunch break and 45 minutes over to receive a card to be printed. Then a lady who came 25-30 minutes after me got assisted and got her cards before me. Jordan definitely doesn t know how to prioritize members time as well as reassuring them they will be helped soon.

If this was the only branch, I would close my account! Came in today to deposit a check and was asked, Where did you get this check from? The check was provided by a reputable company in which I will not disclose; however the companys name was printed on the check. I was also asked other questions pertaining to the check in a discriminatory way. I was made to wait while the young man continued to go back and forth to the back to talk to his manager I will never do business with the branch again!

I came to location it was 4:53pm young lady at door would not let me enter , she looked at me shook her head No! and locked the door! I had to try and cash check at Krogers ended up depositing funds now it s a hold on my check until Tuesday and today is Friday. Each time I visit this location the atm machines are down . Servicing is one thing (understandable) I was advised that the machines are serviced M-F around 2pm however the machines are down at night as well so the lines are long in and out sometimes with 2 tellers and associates just walking around . Today however there are 4 so thank you. If I didn t respect the institution I would definitely relocate.

Avoid this location. You will wait for 30 minutes at a minimum to do anything. People lined out the door into the parking lot. Atm lines are 30 plus deep constantly all day long. Save your time and go to differnt branch or bank with someone else like I chose to do.

This is the worst branch. The line is always out the door and then they make you wait outside in all types of weather because they are short staffed. It s 17 people in front of me in line and it s only 2 tellers. I ve been with navy federal for 18 years and I will be closing my account. It never fails every time I come in here line out the door and not to mention they changed the hold policy for checks to 3-5 business days.

This location needs help! I came in today to pay off a loan. I waited outside in heat over an hour and then another 45 minutes inside in line. The 2 ladies working the line seemed very slow. This is not a way to treat customers. if 12 is the busiest time of the day it doesn t seem like the best time for 1/2 the staff to go on break. There were several elderly and handicapped people that suffered through this long wait as well. Please do a better job servicing your customers.

Customer service is as if they are doing us a favor. The branch is slow, lackadaisical; and the email customer service is terrible. The entire bank is wack. I am closing my account. EXTREMELY SLOW. Worst banking experience at many locations but this location has been the worst. They will have the longest lines OUTSIDE in the hot sun or cold. I m literally sitting in my car from leaving the hot line outside because it s too hot to be standing for literally bet an hour. The lady at the front was toothless and rude to all of us who needed to come inside due to the heat. At least offer water and chairs or something if your customers are standing and hot long periods of time. There are multiple older people, veterans and seniors in these lines as well waiting to just see a teller. Shame on Navy Federal for this. I will be calling and emailing an official complaint. This is totally absurd and should be illegal to be standing in front of the bank like this.

I never typically go into a branch unless it s necessary. Even though the lines are out the door most days, the staff seems friendly and do what they can to make sure that they are doing whatever they need to accommodate everyone s request. I recently closed on a home and this young lady named Shaniqua was training a young man named Heath. She was very thorough with her explanations during the interaction and I didn t mind it one bit. She worked well under the pressure. The lobby was full, but she was reassuring to the person she was training. Again my experience was pleasant. I don t know why people are on Google complaining for things that are out of the staff control and quite frankly the anger is misdirected. Lines can be prevented with the self sufficiency of Navy Federal online options. Again I think the staff is amazing from the time I walked in, they were seriously on point. Please give this location a chance. And be kind to the workers. They deserve it and they seem caring.

Or maybe she just didn t know her job. I have a credit score 800+ this woman drilled me like she was the actual bank owner Seems like she didn t want do her job I was asking very basic questions I am in finance! I would not recommend Navy Federal to any small business owners or potential owners. I cannot speak on their personal finance policies. You are unable to walk into the branch to set up a business account or discuss business finances all of that is done over the phone. You also have to fill out a pre application to start a business account, completely understandable, however after you complete the application it states they will follow up with you in 2-3 business days. They do not. After 7 days with no follow up from them I decided to call in and check on the status of my application to which they stated to me oh we expect members to call us to finish processing the application over the phone. This is an issue for me because why wasn t that clearly communicated at the end of the application? Time is Money especially in business and I could ve saved myself time if I had know the proper next steps after filling out the application. These two things are major strikes in my opinion and was enough for me to not move forward with them on a business account. I would never recommend them for a business account.

There is no way to get service until 9am on credit card or debit card issues. you cant increase limits which may be necessary. You cant go on line and make a request and the live chat is worthless because it just answer basic question and the agent have no way to access your account. This is for your UX/Ui designers as a user this is a reason for me not to even use the online service for anything but to look up my account information. I am extremely dissatisfied as a user who surely falls in the category of needing actual assistance and directed away from a phone call to faster service on the mobile app or online because all of the member service representative is busy. That fact is not true but if corrected would greatly improve user satisfaction.

You cannot contact a branch directly and instead have to speak to customer service who acts as a middle man. I dont understand how this benefits anyone. I was told a branch could handle my request and even told them I would be driving a long distance and to make sure they knew for sure. Of course I get to the branch and they cannot help me. If I could have spoken with someone at the branch, this would have been a non-issue. This policy makes no sense at all.

Very very poor communication between branch and customer service. Long wait times. Same rhetoric each time with no resolution. It seems the branch does not communicate with customer service at the 1 888 number. Leaves the customer in the middle. Will take my business elsewhere.

Never servicing the ppl. Always a long line wrapped around the building. Ive come by 3times today! Ppl r inside working but no one is being helped Consumers expect changes due to COVID but the changes should be to help make things beneficial Customers standing in the hot sun with one ATM broken!

I arrived at this location at 5:06pm. As the woman at the door was letting out her last few customers, I made eye contact with hope that she would allow me to come in and complete my transaction. Instead, she looked me in the eyes as I mouthed is it too late and closed and locked the door without acknowledgement . Very disheartening . Wish she had saidsorry too late.

Horrible service to be a Credit union(instead of a Bank). Misinformed by teller and the bank is not willing to resolve. When I call the 800#, they push it back over to the branch. No accountability. They have little loopholes but dont make you aware of the best way to make deposits, etc. I went to the counter and asked if my large deposit would be available right away. It was an emergency w/d from my 401k. The young lady said lets see. Not only were my funds not available, but they held the bulk of my check- going into June. I could understand if this was a questionable institution that wrote the check but its a reputable bank KNOWN for 401k!!! I kept calling pleading for assistance. I was informed that if I had deposited in the ATM it would have released the full amount. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! I want to close my account SO bad and go to Peach State or Any Bank would probably suffice!!! Their service is as if youre in line at the DMV!!! HORRIBLE!!! DO not Bank with them. I will NOT refer anyone here ever again!

I have been a member here since 2009 and have never had a problem with NFCU until the past year. The credit union itself is amazing but this branch has declined so much. Customer service is terrible. I could barley understand the receptionist and we couldnt even meet with an actual banker. I asked to order checks and the reply was not today just go do it online. Its sad cause its the only branch around here. If the customer service does not turn around we will be taking our business to a different credit union.

My negative review has to do with one particular employee named Edwin. My interaction with him was extremely disturbing. I found Edwin to be rude, condescending and presumptuous. He should not be empowered to work with the public. Especially in the banking industry where respect, trust and customer service are the foundations of a strong relationship.

Pretty disappointed in Navy Federal. I understand the 30day new customers check hold policy but Ive been a customer for over 30 days now and my account has always been in good standing Ive never overdrefted it. So I made a cash deposit at an ATM and they held it for 5 business days also. They never told me about this hold until after I called customer service trying to pay my car payment with the money I deposited. Since they held my money my car payment was late and got me a $25 fee from my lean holder. Probably going to close my account and find a better credit union because Im not going to be with one that always holds my money for a week. Dont bother opening an account with them go to USAA.

I wanted to bank with a credit union so I chose NFCU. But its not as convenient as I thought. This branch constantly has an atm that wont accept deposits. With this being the only branch in the area, they need multiple atms to ensure deposits get posted. That is unacceptable for people that have to drive all the way over there, only to find out they cant make an after hours deposit. Or they need another branch in Gwinnett asap. I am beyond frustrated with the lack of access to my getting my money posted in a timely manner. Even cash is placed on hold!!! And the co-op banking deposits are placed on an automatic 5 day hold, yes even cash is held for 5 days if you go to a co-op atm. This would be a great credit union if they could figure out how to improve their processing time and eliminate the holds on cash.
