Each time I visit this bank, there's a line.
This credit union doesn't need a greeter. She needs to have a teller station to assist with customers.
Don't bother with the mobile banking response. Mobile banking has deposit limits and some of us prefer to do our banking in person.
I have 4 accounts with NFCU and I'm considering moving them to SRP or another credit union in my area

We got Navy Federal for the in-person banking but they apparently cannot handle things like other institutions in a timely manner, so I will be closing my accounts. They can't verify the authenticity of USAA debit cards for larger cash advances and the cashier's seem lazy or unwilling to verify cashier's checks for immediate use. Apparently this institution is meant for the simplest of banking needs and not handling/letting you access money in larger amounts like every other normal bank out there.

My visit to this Navy Federal location was the least helpful experience I’ve had with Navy Federal. On top of that, upon walking up to the front door, I was greeted with an array of garbage scattered about in front of the property, that apparently management doesn’t mind being there. And the bank rep that “assisted” me had an annoyingly unprofessional, unkempt appearance. As he typed away on the keyboard in front of me I had to look at his dirty-looking hands with long, dirty fingernails. What ever happened to people working at banks having a clean, professional appearance? … This visit was in regards to a joint account. I’ve previously considered opening my own account with Navy Fed, since I’d be eligible as a service member. But this experience has got me re-thinking that. I also spoke with the assistant manager during this visit, and she was also dry, discourteous, and unhelpful.

Always a long wait, as numerous other reviews have mentioned. Today there is a line out the door and only 1 teller. Made me nearly an hour late to work because I had to put checks in the bank to pay a bill due the same day.

It's ridiculously busy all the time. They don't have enough people. You have to wait for hours to get something done. Their ATMs are always down or not available. It's such a bad branch. They definitely need a bigger branch with more employees. It's bad enough. We only have 2 banks near us. They need to be available for their service members.

I have been with this credit union since my son joined the Navy over 11 years ago. It is a solid choice though it loses a star for the fact there is only two locations an the lines tend to get very long on Fridays. They do have several ATMs which helps an the rates are competitive. The extra is their on line service. It goes above and beyond in all areas. Worthy of old school stars!
Update: Second time for over half an hour wait to use the regular tellers. This is not competitive nor good service. Alot of people complaining over even longer waits. Do NOT go on a Friday. The waits for regular service have gotten alot worse.

The wait in line to see a teller averages 30 min to an hour. They only have 2 people available even when the line is out the door. The tellers spend time having personal conversations with the customer instead of just attending to the reason they are in the bank. It should be some type of guideline in place for when the bank is crowded to where all teller machines should be operated

I now know not to waste my time at a physical branch. Shortly after closing on my first home, I went to this branch to deposit a check I received from the closing attorney. I waited in line for about 10 minutes, no big deal as I understood it was busy. I was called up to a clerk and handed her my check. Well, the check had mine and my wife s name on it, but I was the only one present. Additionally, my wife and I don t do joint bank accounts. So after swiping my card, the clerk tells me that she can t deposit the check because it s not a joint account, and because my wife wasn t with me. She then tells me that even if my wife was with me, they may not be able to deposit it because she s not on my account. I walked out of there irritated, then made an 8 and a half hour drive back to where I currently live. The next day, I mobile deposit the check with no issues! That clerk was extremely unhelpful and did nothing to try and help me as a customer. Lesson learned.

This branch is as slow as molasses. When you have over 20 customers in line and only two associates helping them at the beginning of the month at 9am, that is poor management. In response to your reply: People still need real people to converse with. There are six desks for tellers to sit at and only two of them were being used. Not EVERYTHING can be done online nor does everyone want to do everything online. WE are the customers and your business relies on our support. Reprioritize and hire some more tellers.

If I could rate this location lower I would. The lines are horrendous. They consistently have only 1-2 tellers working with a line that goes out the door. Expect more delays as other employees come out from the back and interrupt a teller or two with tasks regardless of all of the waiting customers. I have been in line numerous times with wait times over 30 mins. Since I do not have a choice to bank elsewhere for my credit union I am forced to use this god awful location. Bring a blanket and a cup of Joe, this Navy Fed with suck the life out of you.

My experience with this bank has been so disastrous that I would never recommend it to anyone. As member of the forces, sponsored by another customer, Ive been trying to open an account for 4 months and every step Ive taken has ended in failure. The online procedures return error messages, the 4 on-site appointments were useless and I find myself in a delicate personal situation, without a bank. It is hard to believe that this bank dares to display the values held by the military institution, it seems to me to be the complete opposite.

One lady in here is either RACIST or hateful. The sad part is she was training another employee. Not once did she small or greet me. My 2 year old wave bye and she couldnt even wave back. Not only that the wait time here is ridiculous. It doesnt matter what time of the day you come. The employees wait 10-15 minutes in between customers to help the next one. Rising the clock. Some of the people at the front dont know what documents you need making me waste my time waiting to be told oh you need a hard copy of your DLs for a name change. This location has went down drastically.

To start I don t normally fill out reviews. I think that they are normally full of people who have nothing else better to do than whine and complain about things that are irrelevant. That being said the service at the Robert C Daniel location is horrendous. Apparently they missed the class on data entry day because for the six months I was a customer they had my birthday as 10 years younger than I actually was. Although flattered that they thought I was in my 30s and not 40s it was a nightmare every time I came in for service. When asked if I needed to fix it, on multiple occasions I was informed that it was okay and the system would be updated to reflect my correct age and date of birth. Then the Saturday that I really needed to access my account happened. I was denied access to my account after waiting 20 minutes in line and told that I need my passport OR birth certificate. Upon returning to the bank I was told by the brunette with the veritas tattoo on her left arm that I in fact needed both. After coming back a third time I was told by another bank employee that I only needed my passport. Some internal remedial training for the staff at this location is desperately needed. As a Veteran, I am appalled at service here and I am going back to USAA.

The Branch Mgr Susan/Susie called in reference to the survey I completed 3 weeks ago about being charged $5 for a replacement card. The BM stated they do not charge for a debit card, we went through the charges(BM used app/sytem as I used my text notifications) major difference and discrepancies. My text notifications showed all transactions in real time as the system DID NOT nor did the interrupting, cut me off and sarcastic BM have any positive reason as to why the system isnt showing the same transactions. She could only recommend me to use the app and she was only trying to help as they dont charge for a replacement card. The BM even stated it might be a coincidence, I then asked how would anyone have the new card as I received the notification as I was walking out the branch from just receiving the new debit card? Susie/Susan again suggested me to use the app as she is not seing the charge. I asked why would I use the app that doesnt show in real time nor is it updated, 3 weeks later as your system isnt showing the $5 charge along with about 5 other charges and a couple of deposits & transfers? The BM again repeated she was just trying to help and they dont charge. I then asked what assistance did she provide, the BM response Well I guess I didnt I begin to go through the charges and she cut me off again to state her famous purpose of calling. After nearly 10 minutes and no doubt confirmation the system is NOT accurate and the BM obviously did NOT care, that I needed to get off the phone and leave a Google review as I am now afraid of the Credit Unions system inability to accurately justify the money in my account at all times and the lack of concern, disinterest and the lack of getting down to the bottome line management displayed is very concerning. Especially when the system do not show the notifications I received. I have absolutely no faith or trust in Navy Federal CU as I once spoke highly and highly recommended to others. Yet again I need a trust worthy CU or bank, any suggestions???

She sat there and just assumed people knew what line they needed to be in for whatever they needed done. Do better. Other Navy Feds have the people at the check-in ask what theyre trying to get done and get them to the right place they need to be. It minimizes any problems and also dont waste their time in the wrong line.

I could not see how many people were waiting for a bank rep but all the seats were taken and people were standing. I guess people were getting upset because they had a cop at the desk watching and the cop is usually in his office playing with his cell. Since the wait was at least 2 hours, I walked out.

Not only are the employees at this particular branch rude and unhelpful, the credit union itself is horrible. Mobile banking is a nightmare. You cannot search transactions older than two months old through the app like you can at most other financial institutions. You have to manually search for them in your archived statements. Transactions post weeks later and sometimes don t show up at all In your mobile banking. Money is moved around your accounts with no warning or authorization, and there is no rhyme or reason to any of it. Zelle transfers get stuck in cyber space for weeks the list goes on. No one responds with adequate solutions when you send messages to customer service and hold times when you try to call are always 30-60 minutes long. My husband and I have been with Navy Fed for less than two years and we are already looking for another place to bank.

We walked in and were told that they dont open new accounts at this location, and to try online. I explained that the website wasnt working, so she suggested we call their 800-number. With gas at $4.40 a gallon, I wasnt happy about the wasted trip or time away from work. I did call the 800-number, and we did get the account opened. I dont understand why a bank would have a branch, but not be available to open accounts.

Credit unions, in general, are far better for both you and the community compared to bloated banks like BoA and Wells Fargo, but NF really does their job well and has more competitive rates on most financial products. This location recently completed an interior location and it looks awesome. Please dont raise my interest rates to cover the cost.

Stop Scrolling! Listen youve probably just found the absolute BEST branch of the BEST bank in the continental United States. These people are friendly, fast, and most importantly know how to do thier job, theyll help you make sure you invest wisely answer any financial questions you my have and make you feel like honest to God family. I would never trust my money to anyone else, Navy Federal, and specifically the branch here in Augusta GA, have helped my family secure a future with financial security, we have been members for 11 years and will be Navy Fed members for life. So if your wondering if this is the bank for you, well that depends do you like the idea of having a bank who actually cares about you, do you like being able to sit down with someone come up with a reasonable financial plan that will help you save money, do like being eligible for some of the best loans in the business, do you like free tacos.... (okay admittedly no bank gives out free tacos)..... but if a bank DID GIVE OUT FREE TACOS YOU BET YOUR LAST ROLL OF TOILET PAOER ITD BE THIS ONE! All joking aside this bank and its staff are top notch and if your looking for any help in the financial world then stop on in they might be just what youre looking for!

I went in to start a business account with Navy Federal and was helped by Hannah. She was absolutely amazing. She was very patient and caring about my situation. She was very knowledgeable and helped me through my application by clearing up some of the things I didnt understand. During the process, her conversation was personable about her family as I shared things about mine. During the process, she also helped me get a new debit card. Even though I didnt come in for this reason, she helped me with my mortgage application. I dont know what happened with the process but it had been over two months since Ive heard from my loan processor for my refinance. She instant messaged him and got him to send over the paperwork immediately. I was able to go home with the paperwork and fill it out. I returned the next day and it so happened that she was available to help me again. She forwarded the paperwork over to the loan department and ensured I would get a response within a few days. This is what I call amazing service. Being a military member, I appreciate the patience and understanding of banking professionals like Hannah. She should be the standard for every Navy Federal Branch in this region.

I should have joined Navy Federal a lot sooner than I did. I retired from the Army in 2003 after twenty plus years of active duty. I had all my paychecks going to Bank of America since they were kind of the only American bank available on virtually every overseas assignment I went on. It just made things easier having your bank to use for your time in another country. I really never had a problem with BOA for over 25 years since most issues anyone had were normally with the Military Finance office and not a private bank. Anyway, after retiring I started using BOA more often and started to see an lack of concern whenever I physicallh went into the bank. Not enough tellers at peak banking hours (1 with 1 going on break and 14 people in line) and a general attitude of you are lucky we are here. I got disgusted and started looking for another bank to use. A family member had been with NFCU for many years and went into the bank and said they really liked the bank so I decided to check it out. Now Ive been a member for a little over five years. I have a free checking account, savings and credit card. I recently purchased my home using their mortgage program. I couldnt be happier. Theyre always super friendly and will do what they can to make you satisfied. I wish they had some more branches since I live way out in the country but if I have any issues you can fix them online or with a quick phone call. The best thing is they really seem to care and everyone who banks there is a Veteran.

Had a great experience yesterday at this location. My wife and I came in to add her to my account and all of the employees were very helpful and polite. We were able to get a debit card printed for her right on the spot. Navy Federal is the best choice for military banks and I highly recommend it!

Why does it smell like pure excrement in this place?

The employee here was less than helpful to a uniformed service member set to deploy. While visiting this branch at approximately 12:40pm on 10 April 2019, I attempted to make a couple of deposits. The teller refused to help with the transaction citing a name issue even though there had been no issues at any other Navy Federal Branch from Hawaii to Arizona to here. The employee proceeded to disparage previous branches that had helped and claimed that they overlooked previous transactions, even though this type of transaction had occurred at the multiple aforementioned branches.. I drove a few miles to the other branch in Grovetown and within 5 minutes my transaction was complete. Avoid this branch and head to Grovetown.

Just opened two accounts last week. My plan was to transfer all funds from my current bank to Navy. Everyone else is very nice, friendly & professional. The greeter/receptionist, however, has no knowledge and is clueless. Went there twice, ended up walking out!

Only had account here for like a month or 2 then some fraud charges came up on my account worth $400..called them they said I did some deposits to my account which I told them I didnt make no deposits for another $970 and when I talked to some woman on Security she asked me questions about it then I answered them TRUTHFULLY I ADDED then she said I was lying and closed my account all together..so now I have to go there in person to see them about this account to see if i can do something..this the worst credit union experience I ever went thru EVER!!!!..DONT USE THEM, THEY THINK YOUR LIARS!!..RUNNNNNNNNNNNN AWAY!!!..never dealing with them again..

I went to this location today after creating my account online to finalize everything and show proof of who I am. Well I was helped by Mary Hadley and when she asked me who referred me I replied my brother. She says he cant even your brother your birthdays are only a month apart... I said, yes maam and....? She says, Well SHE couldnt have had you both! This is absolutely impossible!!! I said, But having the same father isnt impossible now is it? Not everyone has the traditional family setup maam.... Embarrassed she says loudly, Well youre probably going to have to show proof! Were setup under a charter and if we are audited they will want proof! Im irritated at this point...I told her none of that was a problem and asked her why was her customer service skills so lacking with me and why was I being handled that way....I didnt really get a response. Well then there ended up being an issue with my license so I said Id come back later. On the way out I asked about a manager....I got told I could speak with Susan....and OMG. SO I go in her office and she immediately says, So you have a problem with us having issues with your license....? Full of attitude all before I could say a word! I explained to her what her employee did and she sat there looking at me like I was wasting get time sounding very irritable and says, Im sorry youre frustrated MAAM. And that was it. And mind you they know my name at this point....I dont still have to be MAAM! No words of comfort or course of action to ensure it doesnt happen. No indication that her employee was wrong. Just the frustrated black lady....no what can I do for you no NOTHING! When I expressed my displeasure with how she was handling it, Susan clapped her hands together and sat in silence starring at me. An absolutely horrible horrible first experience.

The only good option to reach someone in a branch is to drive to the branch. Al telephones are routed via a call center, and even if you ask to be transferred, they will frequently say that they do not have the time to talk to you. Just great service when you need to drive 45 minutes to get to teh branch and they may or may not have time to help.

The last time that I was in there the receptionist was not friendly or helpful. As I was leaving I said have a nice day she never open her mouth. They were much nicer in Texas.

I like this place only when the one lady who doesnt let me deposit my tchecks is not there. She says thats what the tcheck says, but everytime I go there and another person does it for me is not a problem. She always tells me no when I know for sure she can deposit my tcheck and she just doesnt want to do her job. I hate having to go there

Usually busy but there is only two locations in Augusta here and the new store in Grovetown. Wish there were more locations seems this is a military town.

Always a pleasure visiting Navy Fed! Everyone is so friendly and very helpful. I have to agree that wait times are sometimes quite long at this particular location, but the Grovetown one is open for business!

this location should hire more staff to handle the large customer base it has. Every time go here the wait times are extremely long because they usually only have 2 tellers working during peak hours at that. Granted the employees are friendly and professional, the waits are ridiculous.

Waiting is a breeze. Comfortable furniture is available while waiting to see a customer service representative. Staff here are always helpful and hardly robotic.
