Ive member of this credit union for years and they failed to keep in contact with you about certain business matters Ive called over 10 times or they would forward your phone call i left message after message and not once received a call back...From the poor customer service Ive been getting Im thinking about taking my services elsewhere. The worst credit union ever, you can never get in touch with anyone, you can leave messages after messages after messages. No one ever calls you back. How can this be acceptable when people are expecting to have questions about loans money about their account and other necessary needs it just put the stipulation on that. You can t work with Black people it never fails every time you try to give them a chance they show you why we take our money to the white people. Navy Federal would never there s always someone able to answer a call for two weeks. I ve been calling and leaving messages. No one have yet to call me back about my account.

Good afternoon, everyone, having been a customer of this bank for 3 years, the bank cheated me out of money. They didn t transfer the account to me until the end; they blocked access to the account; they didn t issue me; they gave me some kind of fake card; they sent me, they took advantage of the fact that I m just far away; this once again emphasizes that the banks are scammers. and as always, all security guards are scammers engaged in fraudulent activities. They extort money; the data leaks to other people, to other scammers who use all this data. I would not advise you to work with this bank; invest in this bank; work with this bank; you can t always reach the bank by calling the bank s email address. doesnt answer because no one cares

I joined the CUA because I wanted to support a black-owned bank/credit union. My experience has not been one where I would recommend this credit union to anyone. I did have a very positive interaction with Pebbles where she exemplified great customer service and care with the most pleasant demeanor! Other than that, it has been a subpar experience for me.

When I came to the credit union of Atlanta today, I was greeted by a CUA representative by the name of Tamia Turner, her warm welcoming and quick Service was impeccable. She was very concerned and courteous of my issue and rectified my issue in less than 5 minutes, while aiding another member so they can see another CUA representative in the back. Mrs. Turner has a great personality and she displays such great customer service, if CUA loses her they definitely has great potential to lose customers/members and a wonderful personality that can pull potential members in with such hospitality. The contact center associate, Ms. Husband, who assisted me today was outstanding. She explained the CUA policy regarding my request. My feedback is that it is too difficult to access your funds, and policies are antiquated. Policies do not fit most 21st century financial protocols that focus on ease of access, electronic processes, etc.

On Monday my mom and I worked with Ms. Chamberland in reference to a car loan. My moms car recently broke down and my mom was able to purchase a newer car and be provided with car great options. I m happy that we was taken care of in short time frame! The lady at the front was friendly and help guide us on changing debit PIN number. Highly recommend to speak with Ms. Chamberland with anything.

I have been with ACUA since the 90 s when it was City of Atlanta Credit Union. ACUA is not setup for banking outside of GA. It is almost impossible to manage account when you re outside of GA. It s hard to reach people to help you with issues. I applied for a credit card through my online banking, my credit score was checked, No one contacted me regarding the pending application. I called and called and could not reach anyone. I left message after message after message. No one responded. The pending loan request was dropped from pending after a certain amount of time. The credit score decreased and no one settled the matter. Also, some years ago when I wanted to work on re-establishing my credit. I did a secure loan of $1,000 with them, that means I took them a 1000 and they gave me a secured credit card of $1000.00. Thats borrowing money from my own money. Just a few months ago after all those years, I realize they were reporting to the credit bureau that I am late on my payment. Which cause my 780 score to drop to a very low-score. They are reporting negatively on my own money. Plus the money could have been taken from my checking account to pay the $20 monthly fee. I thought they were to help me. Not hurt me. However, God has blessed me back with a 6 figure position. I will be back on my feet in no time and pay off the Range Rover. I can say ACUA is good at financing customers vehicles. I give them an A in that area. For me to have been with them for so long, they don t seem to care about me at all. I ve had thousands and thousands of dollars go through my account and this is how the treat me. I m done!!

I feel played. My stepmom opened me an account here and I stayed with this bank nearly 17 years. I got my 1st job. My parents didnt have a financial foundation. Each year I maxed out my ROTH thinking I was adulting for the future. Thank God for the rise in technology and financial teaching. I learned that my money was NOT invested. I lost 17yrs worth of time because no one at this bank ever hit me with the, hey, are you aware of whatever. I find it hard to believe no one I dealt with over the years did not know I wasnt getting the best bang for my buck. So when they respond with we cant find that name, thats fine. I closed the account and this post is more so to bring awareness to those who have a ROTH and dont know that in order for the money to really grow...it needs to be invested. I never had any issues with the bank per se. With everything going on currently, it just reminded me how they made so much money off of my deposits, and what I received in return is an insult. Some of yall are probably about to apply for your first loan and will be denied. Yall make sure your money is somewhere earning the best interest % as possible. Do not feel obligated or any type of loyalty to these companies. Obviously if they treat you good, then keep the door open, but dont feel as though all your eggs need to go into this one basket.

We just went through the process to finance a new car through the credit union of Atlanta, and were so pleased with the whole process. Everyone at the branch is kind and helpful, but Dominique Turner, the gentleman who helped us with all the paper and computer work, was awesome. He is so knowledgeable and efficient but also he is extremely kind. Its hard to find someone at a business who has all these qualities! Friendly Service but horrible bank they charge overdraft fee for every swipe even if it s a dollar. if you overdraft $1 you owe $39 and if you over draft $2 the next day you owe $40 plus the $39 from the day before and they don t decline transactions they just add it up alone with they overdraft fee although your account say you got it they process everything late and make it your fault I have 6 $38 overdraft fees for a total of $10 spending this is very inconvenient for a person with low funds I would rather you decline the transaction all together than add it up with all them fees or like most banks give me one overdraft fee plus whatever I owe. I don t got no money to just give like this I ll be closing my account tomorrow taking my money elsewhere I ve never heard nor experience over drafting like this

These people are highly unprofessional. They allowed 4 transactions of all of my hard earned funds to be taken away. More than $10,000 was hacked. Its been more than a month and these people have not even had the courteousy to credit at least $1000 to help me pay my bills and feed my son... Do not do business with these people. Do not bank here stay away super unprofessional, all I did was make an account for a savings account and I asked if there was any fees also asked to be paperless so I wouldn t receive any fees and they have been taking money out of my savings account to send me statements when I specifically said not to also with a pandemic they never pick up the phone no department picks up the phone ever no matter when you call how many times they are super unprofessional and not organized. Do not take out a loan from this company. My car loan (unfortunately) is with Credit Union Loan Service. I never received any information about the loan, the first month payment, or any other information. The first information I receive is a late payment notice! When I try to log into the website into the account to see my account all I see is my current invoice, which is more than it should be. My payoff amount (because I am leaving this company as soon as I can) is $8,000 more than the amount I took out as a loan 2 months after I took out the loan. Something is very wrong with this company.

Best Customer Service ever They helped me raise my FICA scores from good to Excellent d to excellent. After reading some of the posted reviews, I would like to dispute some of the negative claims. I had some difficulties with my Credit Uion Visa Credit Card and personal checking account. My personal Service started with Mr. Allen the President, Ms Taylor and Ms. Tiffany. This bank is the epitome of dated. I had a checking account and loan with them but I paid it off early to get away from them. They misreported a late payment on my loan to the credit bureaus when I had the money in the account and I had filled out several forms for them to take the money directly from that account. Every month they called saying they have not received payment and every month I filled out the form. The account was only opened for the loan so they could wcw payments directly out of it. It ALWAYS had money in it to cover the loan. I just paid the loan off early so I could get far away from them. I had a credit card with them that I rarely use. That site is super dated and you can t do anything on it besides making a payment. I have been calling for weeks to add a user to the card but no one ever answers and the third party company that is listed on the card said I have to make the change through the bank. Seriously this is the oldest out of touch credit union I ve ever seen.

I was excited to say I decided to make Credit Union of Atlanta my primary and home bank. In effort to support my community and Black Owned Businesses. But Im sad to say after reading these reviews I have decided to go another way. The reviews I have read are fairly recent to start with. But it seem customers are upset about fairly relevant and and important aspects in which we find banking convienent to us. Ive lost over 50 percent of my income due to COVID 19. As a result my account has had several insufficient funds charges at $38 each totalling over $100 in a short period of time. This account has several items automatically drafted from it. Overdraft protection was supposed to cover me and only charge $5. All other companies and banks have empathized with customers and reversed or postponed fees and even payments. However CUA says they are carrying on business as usual during the COVID 19 pandemic. I will be closing all my accounts once the pandemic is over. Stop being greedy CUA.

This credit union will have you pay $25 to apply for loans knowing your information of what you can and cannot qualify for. I truly think this is a rip off!!!!! I have also left several messages with the Loan officer and actually had to track her down for her to tell me that Oh you were not approved and they will send you a letter. I have not received the letter yet as of January!!!!!! I am leaving this Credit Union! Life is too short to have your money in a place of deceit!

In 2012 I financed a 2004 SUV with CUA on a 5 year term. I spoke with a representative of CUA 8 months ago (June 2018) , in which my last payment was originally supposed to be August 2018. The representative told me that my last payment would be January 2019, okay so I bit the bullet because I did deferred several payments due to financial hardship. Will now 8 months later I did a follow up before my last payment and know they are telling my last payment is March 2019. IV PAID ALMOST $30,000 FOR A 2004 SUV!!! The employees at this bank are terrible when it comes to customer service. They act as if they dont care about your concerns and attempt to pass you off on someone else. Or they will make you call an automated system that will send u in circles & then hang up on you. The bankers wont even answer a simple phone call. Im taking my money the hell outta here.

I googled this Credit Union because I wanted to support a black owned business. However, the moment I walked into this establishment the energy was off with the employees. I signed in to get some information about becoming a member of this Credit Union. I waited for approximately 30 minutes, just to be told that I would not be able to apply for membership because they are closing. The loan officer gave off the vibe that she was tired, and ready to go home!!! Yes, I get that it is the end of the day and you are ready to go home. However, I find it very disturbing that I was rushed. The loan officer did not even look me in the face, while she was explaining the various Credit Union accounts. As I m leaving, I decided to ask the teller at the front window is there a manager that I could speak to. Unpleasantly, she asked can I help you, as if she didnt want to be at work as well. After speaking with the manager Sylvia, she was very professional and apologetic. I appreciate her offering me services, even after I was turned away. Also, explaining to me how she did not want me to leave the branch with a bitter taste in my mouth about Credit Union of Atlanta. Long story short, I walked into Georgia s Own Credit Union today in Alpharetta, Ga. and receive such an amazing experience. I have membership services, and got approved instantly for a credit card!!! FYI (Credit Union of Atlanta) ****YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION CAN BE YOUR LAST IMPRESSION****I am so happy that, I decided NOT to do business with this credit union!!!

Its 2:55 pm all I needed was an withdrawal and my pin # because I forgot it. I was told I needed to come into the branch to retrieve my pin or if I ordered over the phone it would take 7 days so obviously I came into the branch thinking I could get my pin #. I live in Fairburn and in addition I left my real estate class early to get here before CUA closed so not only did I make a wasted trip, I lost class hours that I have to make up which in turn will cost me $ and time because I have to drive to another far away location to make these hours up ....in addition to this experience, I was told by the teller Mina Bhatt that she couldnt print out my pin # for me because her printer was down but she sent me to member services who say that theyre going to have to order me another card....DO WHICH IS IT !!! Im confused.... disappointed, losing money, missing valuable class time and blood pressure up. I try to give places the benefit of the doubt even when theyre reviews warn me to stay away but in this case the reviews were right.

I have called numerous times and can never get through on any day and have gotten cut off They need a better system to better serve the members I am on my way into the 245 Pryor St. Location to seek some answers I am seriously considering taking my money out by the end of month over the many issues I am having Time is money, then every time I need to address a matter I have to go I and lose money, sitting around waiting for anywhere up to min 20 minutes upwards of 40 minutes I have fallen asleep twice from being exhausted and I have even left tired of waiting

Im confused as to why you all have an atm that takes cash deposits but as i stand here it says its only taking checks? Ridiculous and definitely inconvienent. I understand the bank is locally owned but there are only two branches why cant we get modernized atms? Also i understand once again its a local branch but its sad that everytime*because it happens often* something goes wrong with my debit card or acct i have to wait until business hours unless its stolen..truley inconvienent

I have been a member for about 7 years and each year they get worst. I make my payments on time and they will call me if I am 6 days late to tell me I am past due. 6 days!!! OVER 30 DAYS IS PAST DUE!!! Sometime they will lie and say you are a month past due...What! Liars!!! my account never goes pass 10 days why....I told them that my pay period on job had changed, they wanted me to pay $25.00 to change the date which would have only been a week causing me to be a week behind. I told them I refuse to give them any more of my money....so, they call me faithfully, 6 days and most of the time the day they call the payment had been send by another one of my credit unions. I was calling in my payments but they started taking 2 payments out and holding 1 payment for several days causing my other payments to bounce. Lucky none never did but it is the principle. They also, will take money out of my account if my payments were 297 and I paid 292 they would take it from my credit card without my permission. I pray everyday that my car payment gets paid so that I can go to a more reliable credit union. Ive been with NFCU for 35years and never had this problem from them...REGRET NOT USING THEM FOR MY CAR!!!
