Big Deal Pawn & Shop

WOW... This used to be one of the best shops around, with variety, niche items, and uniqueness of items.

Pawning stuff here used to be good. You used to get a mighty value for what you offered.
Now, you're lucky if you even get an offer that's even worth a damn at all. Basically what has happened is, they price reference, and say you're selling them an item that goes for $700 online. You're only going to get the pie slice worth of that offer, which here, would equate to roughly $175 to $200 at that, given YOU'RE LUCKY. Then it gets pushed to the whole "Well, I gotta consider how quick it'll sale..." ...what? Yeah, that's about the equivalent of how things go here nowadays, and you can barely negotiate anymore.

I simply can't recommend this shop anymore. You're getting rid of things at a loss, literally a GIANT CHUNK of the value here.
I wanna be able to recommend the shop. Though it's just simply not possible anymore. The uniqueness of items, the value, what you get versus what you're selling, I just can't.

It has simply devolved into the generic pawn shop place now. You're bound to find the same thing you'll find at every other pawn, the uniqueness and wow-factor of the shop is gone. It's just super basic now, and you're best to look at other shops.

They have computers marked "as is" without any indication of the issues, no charger set up, so you don't even know if it turns on, then they tell you that they don't allow you to sit there and try and figure out what's wrong with them. Wtf? You don't allow someone to see if a computer comes on? They don't have the specifications listed either so you can't tell the year, what processor it has, how much RAM/HDD. You guys have to allow customers to figure this stuff out on their own since you don't provide literally any details and don't seem technical enough to know what a hard drive is. The year, model, processor, hard drive size and RAM ALL matter. But apparently you can't try and figure it out. Some of those computers have dates on them for how long they've been sitting there in this garbage store.
Some have been there 6 months to a year! If you wanted to sell one maybe don't tell a serious buyer they can't diagnose what's wrong with it. Good luck selling your junk. What a joke.

I drove over an hour to come make a purchase and when I arrived at 5:30pm your store was closed. Either advertise your correct closing time, or actually close at the time you do advertise. Or at least add to your store voice-mail that you've closed early. I love the store but the complete waste of time and gas I've had to deal with is really unacceptable. Great staff! Very fair and a pleasure to deal with. Jaime is my favorite!! He is an extremely friendly family oriented man of faith and he always puts a smile on my face. Big Deal carries everything under the sun, from tools to jewels, crossbows & smart phones. I mostly shop here for electronics and music gear but I always find great gifts as well.

I’m having a issue out of Big Deal Pawn surprisingly. I relocated to a different state 600 miles away I’ve been gone 5 1/2 months. I’ve been doing business with them for 8 years never had any issues. But now all of a sudden I can’t get through after calling a dozen times the past 3 days. I need to get a log in code to pay via the app on a shoe pawn I have their. A pair of $525 designer blue/white Bally shoes that’s been with them for a while since I relocated. I just need someone to reach out to me that way I can make a payment & not lose my shoes. Thanks, Jarvis (I’m shocked this has never happen with them but I’m being told they just changed management and sum other stuff,etc)

Jamie was so very helpful and most of all so very kind. Sometimes in life you stumble upon people that you feel like you’ve known your whole life…..that is Jamie. He’s a genuinely nice person and it shows with how he interacts with each and every customer who walks in the door. I had the opportunity to sit back and observe him while I was waiting for a quote on something. I don’t think he realized I was watching him, but he literally greeted each person that walked in the door and it was clearly not your typical “Hi welcome in” kind of greeting, but it was a genuine upbeat greeting. He obviously loves what he does and enjoys interacting with all types of people. He recognized his repeat customers and greeted them by name.

The very first time I came here I was taken care of by Jaime, who has exceeded every customer service expectation I've had by far! Jaime has a way of making you feel like you've been friends for years and takes the time to get to know you as a person, not just as a customer. He's extremely knowledgeable about his job and very helpful. Every time I come in he treats me with absolute kindness and respect. I feel welcome the moment I step into their shop. The entire staff is great but Jaime stands out tremendously! He's absolutely an asset to this company and I enjoy coming because he never fails to brightens my day!

If you want to them to call the cops on you after trying to get them to own up to replacing the stuff they damaged, lost, sold that you pawned then this is the place for you. Candido is the worst manager ever working there. His sidekick kaitlyn was nice until my son went to sell something and bc he was related to me they said for him to never come back. Are you f ing serious. Lawsuit time. I have video evidence. And they stole my charger and was using it!!!

Took in Polk rti10s to sale. They pulled up covers for them on ebay and tried to base pricing for whole speakers off of that. I wasnt trying to get rich. Just cleaning up some storage space.

Dude, I havent been to very many pawn shops but when you talk about low ball, it doesnt get any lower. I wont waste my time coming back here, and made sure I told the MOD as much. I called ahead of time and asked if they bought Morgan and Peace silver dollars, which of course they do but asked ahead of time if they were just going to go off of silver spot value or actually do some research and see what that particular year and mint mark would sell for. Granted this would be a pawn so I was coming back for them anyway, but he said yeah they would depending on what type of coin it was. Straight lie. I got there and they offered me $15 on a 1878 8 tail feather Morgan silver dollar in ridiculously good shape and $45 for two MS70 2021 Morgan and peace silver dollars lol. Each one of those is worth over $200 a piece easy. Dont waste your time if youre looking to pawn or sell here. You could probably find some good deals on buying because they lowball the hell out of all the sellers. But Big Deal right? Lol

Very nice people. However, just like other shops the concept of a pawnshop is to lure high risk or desperate people. You could bring in expensive never worn jewelry or other items worth hundreds or thousands, the people that run the shop will look to see the cheapest that item sold for on eBay (with no regards if that item was broken that sold on eBay lol) and try to offer you that price for it. And will offer a BS explanation on how that s what most stores do when it comes to jewelry and other items when that s not entirely true.

They scratched my 18k gold ring to test it. Not cool. Its stamped 18k and engraved- definitely legit, and I know I can sell it elsewhere. Very disappointed theyd scratch something that they dont own prior to making an offer. There are non scratch tests too, and it passed the magnetic test smh.

This place must have changed ownership or management. Everything is way overpriced and the customer service is oblivious. No knowledge of the merchandise and no interest in making a sale. If you need your stuff damaged and they said there not gonna help with damages. I had the pleasure of them lying to me a over and over. One was that they did not say they stored my $1200 electric bicycle with 9 miles on it. In a chinese storage container outside. I had a witness. I said why is it so hot they said they stored lit ion in a container. They said they did not say that. That the Manager and kitarya were the only ones working. They were not the only ones. There not gonna help and I can go call the cops. The Manager with the scion with purto Rico flag on top. Said I would get a call from Steven Lawrence from smart financial in Texas will call. I will update probably nothing because at least whos running big deal pawn are scam arrest. I would run from any warranty or deal with them.

They offered me $100 for a 4 CT yellow gold diamond tennis bracelet. This place is a joke. They sell used guns for more then retail price. Dont be fooled. You can get any glock for 560. They selling glocks for 625 used.

This was my first time visiting. I was looking for an affordable laptop and silly me, I walked right past two. I asked the lady behind the counter if they had laptops and she, (who turned out to be the wonderful Patty), pointed me to an area I had just walked by. PRAISE GOD, there was the BEST laptop at the BEST price! I then got a Dooney for the low, low that I intend to use as a laptop bag. Thank you, Patty, for the great service!

Great prices on jewelry!a lot lower than your regular jewelry store!was able to negotiate on already low price on necklace, l probably saved 70%-80% . If you are looking for any type of jewelry definitely check out big deal before you go to any other jewelry store like Jareds or any of these other jewelry stores at advertise the jewelry stores deals and sales still cannot beat big deals regular prices and then they work with you on their regular prices so you get an even better deal!!!

The Manager Patty and Team at Big Deal Pawn were the Best. I ask them to hold a Laptop that my daughter needed for school and not only did they hold it but laptop look practically brand new and I got a Great Deal! I also have pawn things over the last 5 years with them and they have always giving top dollar more than any pawn shop out there with easy and affordable payment plan! Giant rip off here. Gold and silver prices are set off the market. This place will only offer you two thirds of your golds market value. Other pawn shops will offer full retail price. Why is that, because this place is not here to help serve the surrounding communities. But swindled the community. They love that just ask for Patty if you want to be extorted and ripped off. Reviews are way off, if you go off the last 12 months the rate would be a 1.5 stars.

Stephanie and the rest of the folks at Big Deal Pawn have been very helpful and courteous each time I have visited the store. As a musician / entertainer I was heavily affected by the pandemic and wouldnt have been able to get by without their help. I highly recommend anyone that may find themselves in need of a little help to check them out. I also have made purchases from them and the selection as well as the prices are awesome. I was in Saturday to sell gold. It was a pleasant atmosphere, and the young lady Stephanie was a huge help. She was very knowledgeable, respectful, and had a great personality. She gave me an awesome price on the gold, and overall had an amazing customer service etiquette. I have already told my friends about this place, and plan to be back!

Brought in some older 14k gold jewelry, was questioned about where I got it and looked at like a criminal for trying to get rid of some jewelry that had been passed down to me, I asked how much it weighed out to and was told 30 grams. Current 14k gold selling price is roughly $30 a gram so $900 dollars worth of scrap gold...was offered $400 and then she changed it to $375. Unfortunately were in a pandemic and bills are still due so I had to settle for it. Basically I got treated like a criminal while they robbed me.

A friend took some scrap gold in for me 11.20 grams to be exact. On the ticket it shows 3 grams of it was 10k but the other 8.20 was 14k which is not possible because it was all the same. Was paid $125 for 11.20 grams of 14k gold. I feel my friend was taken advantage of as well as myself. DO NOT GO HERE TO PAWN !!! This place will disrespect you with their offer and there is no negotiating I went here to get a couple of thing quoted an ar 15 bushmaster and a PlayStation 4 pro and I was told the ar 15 would be worth 110 And the ps4 is worth 40 so in all go to another pawn shop to pawn as far as deals go I did find some dvds for 1.00

I came to this store for the first time and I have to say... The service was so fast, JACK and Mr. Eric were very friendly and gave me exactly what I asked for. Big Deal pawn is an overall a great place. I recommend them 100 percent. If you go there to get a loan I would recommend using Stephanie. She comes across really nice and has a great attitude and really shows she cares about her customers and seems like she really enjoys what she does. She was able to help me get a loan and also helped me pick out the right firearm for me and what she thought was best or best recommend for me.I will definitely be going back if I have to I will use her again. I had a horrible experience here, the staff was very disrespectful when I ask for some info on the product I was interested in buying! I let it slide and said thank you for the very minimal response that I received, then I went to look at a few pistols I asked if all pistols were used or are some new. This was from a different staff member and I still received a very arrogant response. I left the store and will NOT COME BACK!!! They also have very high prices on used stuff, no big deals here!
