Both people were pretty rude and gave me up and down looks when I walked in. Despite saying they do watch and jewelry repairs on their site, they told me they could NEITHER replace my watch battery and couldn t repair the necklace chain they would have to send it away. Just drove 2 hours to sell multiple vintage rolex submariners, breitlings, jaeger lecoultre, omega, and more. Easily over $150,000 worth of watches, and when I get there the guy behind the counter says our buyer has left for the day . Like what??? I got there at 4:45pm. They are open until 8pm. I even called ahead of time to one of their other locations and they said yes bring them anytime. So I wasted 4 hours driving for nothing. The guy didn t even offer to look at the watches, didn t ask me for my name, number, nothing. I guess it s their loss though. The vintage submariners alone are super hot pieces. Any watch buyer I take them to will be itching to buy them.

As a local business owner I really try my best not to leave bad reviews. It hurts the business. I really wanted to give this place a 1 star for my experience with the owner Jeff Hess. However Chuck and Eric were nice gentleman. Jeff offered me a very disrespectful price on my trade in for my watch. A slap in the face really. I ve been buying and selling for quite a while. Watch prices here are expensive, way more than other shops, that s fine, you re in Hyde park, nice area, makes sense. Got to pay rent. Giving that this place was charging ridiculous prices for watches I thought there offer would be reasonable. Not even close. They are making stupid margins off trade-ins and watch s sold to them. Speaking with Jeff on the phone, it seems like he really isn t knowledgeable on watches. Please Jeff, find me a 118238 president champagne dial that is worth 11-14k box and papers. Incompetent. It s all about money isn t it . Glad I didn t buy a 30k watch from them. Please take your business to a more professional establishment. Replying to response: Excuse me? Your offer was 10k . Do not make it seem you offered me 14k. You literally spoke to me on the phone today, telling me you were looking at ones sold between 11-14k now you can t find them My review was a 2 star now it s a one star. I went to them to get an Omega bracelet sized. Kyle helped me with it, and was super friendly throughout the interaction. We got to chat about my watch, about which he was really knowledgeable, as well as about some of the other watches they had, market trends, what we d like to see from the brands in future, and so on. Just a relaxed and fun little conversation between two people about watches, with no overt salesmanship at all, which was refreshingly awesome!!! Oh, and he did also resize that bracelet somewhere along the way .

Huge thanks to Chuck and team for a great job on my Patek 5524G watch. I visited Old Northeast to remove a number of case scratches and one significant burr on the lug -- also had a deployant clasp cleaned and polished. Im very happy with the work. Both pieces are like new, and I got them back in 1.5 weeks. Highly recommend.

Absolutely horrendous customer service. Took in a family heirloom to be cleaned and repaired, and received zero updates about anything for over a 4 month time span. We also did not receive call backs after months of calling, which lead us to calling them multiple times a day for multiple days before they answered. Even after all this, they were extremely rude, super unhelpful, and even lied to us about prior information given. In the end, they did not resolve any of our issues, and left us extremely frustrated. I would highly discourage anyone from this place. Simply put, one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had.

Went to the store on 4th St in old St. Pete. Was engaged by many friendly and open employees. Never did I feel rushed or improperly engaged. We primarily spent the time taking about whatever I was looking at during my visit. I got some education about fine watches while I was there too. Great watch, and Jewelry selection. And a really nice collection of vintage and estate items as well. Had a chance to chat with the owner and he was a welcoming as his staff was. This place operates more like a family than a business. I didn t buy when I was there, but if I need anything I am certain they ll have it, but if not, after my conversation with the crew. I m certain they could source anything I could ever imagine.

Horrible experience! I went in to sell or trade a Rolex and BUY a new Rolex. They offer a ridiculously low-ball trade-in price for my old watch & the salesman assisting me with the purchase of a new ROLEX was awful. I actually paid for a new Rolex ($6,300) whilst I was in the store, but the salesman was so condescending & disrespectful, I refunded the watch and left the store! Really poor salesmanship. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking to Buy, Sell or Trade anything!

I went to your store due to your advertising in the Tampa paper that you purchase gold and bullion and will beat all offers. I found this statement to be totally untrue and you should remove it from your ads as it is false advertising. I brought in over $20,000 in gold and silver bullion in new condition for sale and I was offered $66 under spot price for gold Buffalos. I told them that I has superior offers but they said that this was the best they could do. Vermillion Enterprizes offered me full spot price for the coins as well as 2 other local coin shops. SD bullion offered spot plus $15.00 per coin. So your statement that you beat all offers is totally untrue and false advertising. Please remove this misleading statement from future ads. There is nothing more to the story. I called your Hyde Park store and was told to come in between 12 and 6 when the appraiser would be there. I brought in 10 gold Buffalos and 30 silver bullion coins still in plastic sleeves and untouched. After testing my coins, he had to call someone in management first before making me an offer. I told him that I had better offers and what they were as he was offering less than spot price. He said that they needed more room for profit and that was the best that he could do so I declined and left. That is the complete story and I have no reason to lie about what transpired. Why should I need to ask for senior management for a simple sales transaction as you imply? Obviously you are incorrect as the store made no effort to beat my other offers.

My ring was stuck on my finger for years and I was trying to avoid it being cut off, but unfortunately it was to no avail. The repairman was very patient and considerate, he was able to cut it without loosing any of the diamonds and I appreciate his tenacity and persistence in removing the ring without damage to my finger or the ring.

You re thinking of buying a watch from here? Just look at my previous review on them and see their response. Nasty people work at this place. The watch I received from them was defective and it was $17k! How do they not do quality checks before selling such an expensive watch. Disgusting staff, bad service, and not professional at all. Never shop here - Watchbox is a better bet. RESPONDING to store s response: First off, you never even bothered to gather the info on what happened. I returned this watch the NEXT day and that s the reason I got a refund. Also, it wasn t shipped - I picked it up at the store. I had to wait at least 30 minutes to get my cash back after waiting for your staff to help other people. Before selling a 20k watch review the watch and don t make people have to return the watch and waste customers time. My innocence? Go look at your receipts and you ll see it was returned the next day. Anyway, I Highly recommend not shopping at this place. Rude management and staff, most likely they don t check their watches before selling it to customers (happened to me), and a complete waste of time.

I brought my great-grandmothers diamond cluster ring in because a diamond had fallen out. They were able to quote me a reasonable price and included checking all the prongs to make sure they were strong. They called me with the estimate for that work and completed the repairs quickly.

Had a repair done to a bracelet and bought two new pieces. The customer service through my entire experience was great. I went in to bring some old jewelry I had that needed repair . I was hesitant at first, not having a lot of experience with jewelry stores or knowledge of jewelry in general . I was so pleasantly surprised by the kind nature of everyone in the store. Nick repaired both of my watches on the spot and Kyle helped me with some necklace repairs and schooled me on engagement rings . He was so knowledgeable and patient . They all make you feel so comfortable . I learned so much about rings and I cannot wait to work with Kyle and the whole team when it comes time to purchase . Thank you so much for all your help . I did a trade (A Lange & Shone 1815, Tudor black bay pro and $2,500) for this Vacheron Constantin. Once I got home, I noticed these rusty marks on the dial and told the store about it. I came in to return it and I offered to make another trade. Since I live over an hour away from this store I thought maybe I could still get a deal done. The manager calls the owner of the shop and the owner declines to do any other deal and they give me back my watches and cash. First, why sell a watch that has any issues? Is anyone checking these watches before theyre being sold? Second, the owner didnt even bother to try to make the situation right. Instead, he wanted to do a complete refund and I wasted 4 hours on driving. Very disappointed in this shop - had high hopes but wont be going back.

I have a vintage Breitling watch from the sixties that they serviced for me and did an excellent job. They made in-house parts as well ordered parts from Europe. It required a waiting period of over a year and when completed it ran perfectly and looks like new. I want to thank them once again for all their time and effort and I am 100% satisfied with the outcome!

We used Old Northeast Jewelers in St Pete to resize a diamond tennis bracelet (that we weren t sure could actually could be resized) you would never know it had been altered, it is PERFECT. The service was faster than expected, pricing was fair and as quoted, and the workmanship superb. We ve also used for Rolex & Citizen watch repair and wouldn t go anywhere else. Highly recommend as a jeweler to trust.

I had 4 watches that needed some attention, two were battery replacements, one was a bracelet sizing and the last had just stopped working. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They were able to change the batteries, size the bracelet and diagnose the last one all during a short wait in the store. Great Service!

I had a 40s vintage Girard Perreqaux Sea Hawk that my father bought during his service in Germany. After his passing, I wanted to bring it back to its former glory. I took it to a jeweler in town and they had it for several weeks. Round one, it was returned but although the numerals (and watch face) had been refreshed, the hands had not. I could not see them in the dark. Round two, and the hands were new, but the watch was not even water resistant (I could not wear it outside in the humid heat - and sweat). When the minute hand fell off, they returned my money and referred me to Hess Jewelers. They had the watch for a couple of months, and when I got it back, it wouldnt keep time. At all. They asked for its return, and after a couple more months, all was right. The watch should have been repaired upon its initial return, but Hess Jewelers made good on its commitment. This would have been a five-star review, but due to the length of time to complete repairs correctly, I had to back it down. The watch was in repair from April to November, but thats a drop in the bucket compared to the span of time from 1949 to 2022
