Samaria in the contact center was VERY rude. would not give me her name. when i asked to be transferred to a manager she just kept telling me she would hang up on me. finally after 13 minutes of her being so nasty, she gave me her name then hung up. now every time i call back my call does not get answered.

This branch does not have the sincerity that is usually in credit union banks ... I feel like I am in bank of America ... I wanted to get a loan that I paid off last year and they did not help me ... I will close my accounts next week ... because I switched to Navy federal credit union ... Navy federal is much better than this bank

I want to give a 10 thumbs up to one of your Customer Service Representatives. Joyce has a slight (maybe Jamaican) accent but has went above and beyond my expectations. I had noticed some fraudulent activity on my account and needed to replace my bank card, Joyce had said I could go to a branch and they would print one for me. However none of the branches printers were working. So i figured I would just have to wait 10 days and have it mailed to me. But no Joyce leaves me a voice mail 3 days later following up and letting me know which branches printers were up and running. That was special and made me feel more like family and not just a customer. Kudos to Joyce.

Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union is the best all around in the state of Florida, my wife and I have been members now for many many years and we love them. I just recently went in to the office at 14990 N. Florida ave, I was greeted by Service manager Arelys Pedroso who helped me with everything i needed done. I have been a member of the credit union for years, over 30. The customer service has gone down hill considerably. Calling takes hours. Hours. They ask you to leave a number and they will be call you by the end of the business day but they dont. If you request something online, they will redirect you to call. What is the purpose of having online access when you have to sit on hold for hours to do a simple thing like a check copy request? It is time to take our business elsewhere.

I got my car loan with TBFCU and every single month it s been a hassle with making payments, getting access into my online account, title, etc. and don t get me started on trying to actually get help with these things. Their member services center always has outrageous call volumes so it takes days to get anything accomplished. I tried to set up auto payment and guess what, it didn t work! Just trying to make a payment is diffficult. I wish I never got my loan with them. Save yourself and go somewhere else.

Applied for a personal loan some time ago and was denied with excellent credit and low dti. Applied to refinance my car 2 days ago , same thing excellent credit low dti and very low debt on credit card that gets paid off every other month to keep credit going . Again denied for refinancing. I m not sure what this bank is looking for or how they stay in business if they keep denying people who pay their bills on time and don t miss payments etc. I m stumped . Regardless it will be the end of the road for me with them and my accounts there. No point in doing business with a bank that doesn t want you or your business. No harm no foul thankfully there s other banks out there that like doing business with people.

I do not like this company at all. I should have stayed with the car finance company I was with because I did not have any of these issues I have with this company. First thing I was talked into was getting the warranty to cover anything that has with my car. That was a rip off. Your car has to be pretty much broken down for them to pay anything. My original finance company was not like that. Then when I realized that and was out of pocket $400 for a auto shop to give me a diagnosis I wanted to defer my payment they said they would just pay $35 application fee. They denied it and did not even call to tell me. So out of money again for nothing. Long story short you get what you pay for because even though my car note payment is $80 less than what it was it is not worth it. I will not recommend them to anyone.

This bank is HORRIBLE. You can never get in contact with a representative timely, the hold times are HORRIBLE, the customer service is HORRIBLE, they charge you for EVERYTHING. Why am I being charged for transferring money ? Why am I even being charged for having a printout sent to me ? Why is there a monthly service fee for having a savings or checking an account ? I financed my auto loan through this company as they advertised a great rate but careful as there is a catch! First it s hard to get ahold of people, their website and app are the worst and hardly ever work, if trying to make a payment good luck as it s very difficult and sometimes doesn t go through. Any change you want to make of letter or statement will cost you money to have it emailed to you. I ve purchased multiple cars and I can assure you this is the worst company I have ever delivery with! I would avoid at all cost

Im not going to say that the 20+ years that Ive banked at TBFCU its been peaches and cream all the time, but for the most part theyve been nice, polite, kind, and understanding. I also understand (but dont like it) that a bank has its rules and regulations and they have to do what they have to do. We just have to be patient, kind, understanding, and polite also. We dont understand why they do something, then we talk to the manager and ask why or why or not. Talking and clearing up things is key.

I get call back, and cant get help because Im no longer near my computer. The mobile app looks old and is even less useful. Customer service is marginal at best. Angela was the most pleasant bank employee Ive ever dealt with. I went in yesterday and unfortunately the computers were down so she wasnt able to take care of my transaction. She was so nice and accommodating that I didnt even feel bad about it. She called me back when the computers came back up and unfortunately I wasnt available at that time. Angela McFarland is patient and caring, she is exactly the person you need when it comes to your financials. She does an excellent job clearly explaining rates and terms. Extremely friendly and helpful. But Tampa Bay Federal as a company is awful. You will wait hours and hours doing nothing waiting on an approval. And then you will get denied by a person you never even get to talk to. Despite having over a 720 FICO credit score. Oh and then the manager wont even talk to you. So if you like having your time wasted and getting a hard pull on your credit report for no reason TBFCU is the bank for you! Did I mention they got rid of all the real tellers? Now everyone waits in a long line for 30 minutes to talk to a slow and inefficient ATM. Yup theres no real tellers anymore, just a screen on an ATM with a person who doesnt even work there. TBFCU just doesnt care.

The absolute worst customer experience and service I have ever experienced. The lady Maria Brunetti was so unhelpful and rude. While speaking with this rude person, I asked for a supervisor and was refused the opportunity. I hung up and called back and the wait time to even speak with anyone is well over an hour. I kept getting a recording I was 7 in the queue and waited on hold for 91 mins before finally hanging up. I would not recommend doing any type of business with Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union. They are truly a horrible credit Union and offer zero assistance or compassion to the members.

The dealership recieved payment for vehicle late caused my tag to expire, I ve called on a recorded line and payed my payment, they never applied it then stated they will have to look although I have the receipt. I ve spent hours on phone trying to make sure they do their job but they never do. If anything hits my credit I m hitting them with a lawsuit. I payed my payment early and they didn t even apply it to my loan. Although on a recorded line I stated to pay my truck payment. I went to pay again to be 2 months ahead and it s like pulling teeth. I wouldn t trust them to make me a coffee. No one does anything right.

This is the worst place to finance a vehicle. Weve had to call & call to get our title after payoff & the money that was over paid by us was supposed to be refunded to us but they are now saying it went to the daily interest rate. Also, we were supposed to get the remaining refund of our gap insurance & they are saying we have to get it from the car dealer ship that sold us the car. Dont finance with these people!!

The worse service ever. As a member now when I call they have marked my account so every rep I speak with is automatically defensive and unruly. I received excellent customer service from Call Center Representative Joshua Pinol. He helped me recover roughly $90 in fees. I was being charged a monthly dormant fee for not using one of my accounts. The bank started withdrawing the fees several months ago; however I was not made aware of it until this week, when the bank sent me an email notification. Joshua said the bank makes mention of these fees when you open an account but I told him there is no way I would remember them being that my account was opened nearly 20 years ago. I feel the bank should have made me aware of any upcoming fees before they started charging me. Nevertheless, the service I received from Joshua was outstanding and helped relieve some of my frustration with the banks policy. I hope he somehow gets recognized for his great service!

My account was compromised multiple times to the point that the bank advised me to close which I have. No cooperation from bank to assist me to recover lost funds, working with multiple agencies to assist me to recover lost funds. Fraud department never got in touch with me? No one from bank has ever returned calls, I can only get information only if I appear in person.

Ive been associated with TBFCU for more than 40+ years, Ive opened accounts for my three kids in that time, my mother, father, sister all had accounts with this institution as well. My issues are to numerous to list, but one thing out of the many caused me to limit my dealings with TBFCU is their blatant disrespect for rules governing contracts! I had a personal loan and a secured loan with TBFCU and they decided to ignore the agreement I signed with them as to how the loans were to be repaid, TBFCU took it upon themselves to withdraw funds from accounts I had that werent listed as accounts funds would be taken from in order to make my monthly payments, not only did that screw up my balances in my other accounts but it violated the agreement aka: contract, when I questioned them about the issue they were dismissive and void of sympathy about my situation. I nearly shutdown all my accounts that same day, but if not for the hassle of transferring my VA disability direct deposit I wouldnt be a customer today. So due to incompetence, poor product knowledge, horrible customer service, zero loyalty to a customer that paid off multiple high value loans on time, I now bank with two other financial institutions and once the ability to transfer my VA disability payment without hassle presents itself then like all my family and friends Ill close out my accounts.

I really love TBFCU I have been with them for years, BUT lately it has been beyond frustrating trying to reach member services by phone, which was never an issue before. Lately, I am usually at least number 15 in line today I was #25. Please work on expanding to a call center or utilize a secure chat line for those who are unable to travel to a branch.

Just refinanced my car a few months ago. The experience was very helpful and easy while I made the change over to TBFCU. I am still warming up to the site and app - hence the 4 stars instead of 5 - could use some UX improvements. That said, the customer service team is really outstanding. Specifically, Sharon who helped get me set up, and Joshua, who helped get my payment and banking info squared away. Also doesn t hurt that they were able to secure me a much lower rate than my last loan, which is also pretty awesome! Would recommend!

If I could give 0 or less I would ,we been paying for two loans for 7 years and never completed, when we called them ,they stated that we got charge fees because we paying those loans after the due date ,how we going to know the due date if we never received statements and we do not have access to online account as well ,since 2015 we paying monthly and they never reach out saying that the due is xxxxx they keep accepting money and charging us late fees ,the worse bank and I would not recommend this bank to no one and I will not do any business with them no more period

Decided to part ways after being a loyal customer. Approved for a loan and couldnt get a hold of anyone for weeks, last I spoke to someone it was a gentleman named Juan, he suggested to get in touch via email it will be easier he said. For weeks email unanswered. Couldnt locate to move forward with the car purchase. Spare yourselves from the unprofessional process. Closed my account and switch to a local credit union. Almost one hour and a half in the phone to get help, this was not the first time. Poor business ethics. Not worth it.

This credit Union told me I had no insurance on my motorcycle loan. Received several letter and supplied insurance information each time. 7 months later I received a bill. For $3700 saying they have been paying for insurance on my motorcycle to protect there investment. Called again had my insurance company send them my policy. Called back they zeroed out $3700 bill. But marked my credit report late payment for 7 months. My 803 credit score was down to 640 and they would not reverse and I have a letter from them stating I have been insured and owed no money. It took 1&1/2 years to get my score back to 805.

Ill keep this short I was referred over to Mr. Lee Midkiff for our mortgage needs. After a brief conversation with him we went ahead and had him handle our loan. He even gave us his cell number and answered evey time we called with a question. Needless to say this has been the smoothest loan process I have ever had in my lifetime. There was no back and forth with documents or proof of this and that, just a straight forward approach to getting a mortgage loan. I have dealt with several mortgage companies in the past and have always anticipated the I need your last pay stub or another bank statement, etc. just prior to closing not this time. I have been with Tampa Bay Federal with my car loan since 2014. Brian and his crew in collections are the BEST thing there! (No, my account has never been in collections.) I moved back home to SC in October. I paid my last car payment at the end of January. I spoke with Socrates after paying my car off asking how I will receive my title. He stated that an electronic copy of my title will be emailed to me from the company they use. Please tell me why the lien on my car was STILL on my car as of March 2!!??!?!?!??!!!!! And I still have no title. I had to call to get the lien taken off THIS month!!! I get a email from VinTek, the company that deals with the title according to Tessa, that states if I live outside of the state of Florida, they will send me the title. The address on the email is from over six years ago!! I have kept my address up to date since I started with Tampa Bay. I called last Friday and spoke with Elizabeth to whom I forwarded the email to. In the email, it states that they will mail your title if you live out of state. Where is it?!! Tessa from Tampa Bay Federal calls me a few moments ago and states the email is wrong, it is a general email sent out and they will not be mailing my title. I m lost. So your emails are not correct? You are sending out inaccurate information???? I never received the title as Socrates stated. I sent three emails and NO response from the associate. I clarified what he stated twice before getting off the phone. Terrible TERRIBLE service. I will never recommend this company.

One of the biggest pros of a CU over a bank is customer service, however, I cannot say that for TBFCU since the start of the pandemic. At this point it s been over 2 years, businesses should have made adjustments to accommodate there customers. The Member Service Call Center have extremely long wait times and very inconvenient hours. On Wednesday they open at 10am!!! I called at around 10:30am, and waited 1 hour and 9 mins before someone could answer the phone. I ve never waited this long for any customer service besides USPS .

Dealt with a very incompetent Elisabeth Rodriguez because of friend referral to the company. She was always late on responses and always working on it later deal. Application process took a while but was approved for the loan amount (a very small loan by the way) a week later after being strung along, she wanted 2 yrs of W2 to prove overtime, well overtime is not what is, was, or what it is now, income should have stand alone or not, but no. I was strung along for the ride and when questioned her...well its been 2 weeks without her incompetent self to answer emails. Ill never deal with Tampa Bay Federal again. Got a better rate at BestEgg solely base on income and not overtime at a lower rate than what Tampa Bay Federal had advertised. Read reviews people, I should have.

I have a HELOC through TBFCU, and am using the funds to buy a house in a foreign country. Given this and the amount of the funds, there has been some logistical and procedural hurdles to jump over.
