I drove an hour and a half to look at a boat I was prepared to put a deposit on. Shane was the broker. After 5 minutes of looking her over another person walked up yelling the boat looked good on me. Then Shane told him to do a walk around first. Then the guy comes up on the boat and literally was in my way. I asked Shane if he was serious booking someone else the same time as me. I dont even think the guy was a buyer, I believe it was a sales tactic to try and force the buy. Either way, it was very wrong and felt sleazy. Be wary before you kill your own day, fuel etc.

Sean Fitzpatrick was an incredible sales associate and fantastic company. He was knowledgeable, punctual, extremely professional, and made the purchasing process extremely easy. Sean was always available via text or phone for any questions or concerns, and scheduled every part of the buying process from the tour of the boat, to the various inspections and water test on whatever schedule we preferred. Furthermore, after the purchase he still kept contact to make sure things were running and operating smoothly with the boat, title, registrations ect. I could not recommend him enough to any potential buyers.

Shayne is a true professional. There are very few people in the marine industry that put people over the all mighty dollar and Shayne is one of those people. I did NOT purchase a yacht from Shayne, and yet he still took quite a bit of his own time to answer a lot of questions I had about a yacht he had sold in the past. I left him a message asking the question, I had asked another broker the same question. I never heard back from the other broker, but Shayne not only answered the message, he called me and we spoke for over 30 minutes about my question. THAT is professionalism and a person who truly understands the importance of personal relationships. He knew I wasnt in the market and yet he took his own time to help me out. I purchased boat # 10 last May and decided it wasnt the right fit for me any my family. I tried to sell it on my own for a couple weeks then realized that I needed Shanes help (again). From our initial contact to the sale (which took about 10 days), Shane got me more than I was originally asking and best of all, I didnt have to do a thing. Met the new buyer and Shane for a couple notary signatures and was done. Shane even arranged for the demo ride and is delivering the boat to the buyer personally tomorrow. Gary was such a pleasure to work with selling my boat. He was very patient as I had to get the title transferred twice. Covid hit and I was unable to get to our home in Clearwater to get the boat in top shape for a sale until early September. Gary recommended a listing price ( which I thought was a bit high) and low and behold he received several qualified buyers within the first 2 days. After his research and qualifying the potential buyer, he made a visit with the buyer to just look at my boat ( on a Sunday!) He informed me of an offer, and also asked me if I wanted to counter with a higher offer. I wasn t sure if I should and asked his opinion as what he would do. Next day offer was accepted for both parties, contracts executed, sea trial next day which all went quite well. The boat was sold for 7% under the asking price, which is very good! Thanks for your help and dedication to sell my boat Gary! I will be looking for a new boat next spring and I will certainly have Gary find me the next one.

My Wife and I decided that bigger would be better and put our 2005 Sea ray 260 on the market and it sold in a single day. After all there were TONS of nice 32-36 foot offerings on the market as well so the transition would be seamless right? WRONG! In comes covid-19 and seemingly everyone and their brother decided to buy a boat the same week we sold ours. It seemed that every boat we found that checked the boxes for us was already under contract. Enter Sean Fitzgerald from Tampa Yacht Sales. The first thing I noticed about Sean is his knowledge of the industry as well as not just boat availability in the greater Tampa area but far beyond. Long story short, in no time at all Sean found us the perfect boat, helped with the purchase by several times going out of his way to take care of extraneous issues that popped up after inspection and ultimately helped us find the boat a new home in our Marina. Not a good selling or buying experience! Shane was difficult to work with at times. Did not always feel that he was representing my best interests. A few repairs delayed marketing by a few months, but then most prospects he showed the boat to afterwards were not pre-qualified, with several with no pre-approved financing or a few looking for outboards instead of inboards. Read his agreement carefully regarding dual agency, as things you tell him can and will get told to the other party. At one point he suggested that I pull my boat off the market, said he would allow me to terminate our agreement, probably because he was having trouble finding a buyer. So I weighed my options by getting a trade-in quote from a dealer, but decided to ride out our agreement a few months more. He also said that part of his service after selling my boat, was to help me find another boat at absolutely NO charge or fees to me. But, when the seller of my next boat refused to pay him a 5% commission, he tries to get me to pay him the commission, even though he just made a huge commission off of the sale of my yacht. Then, he becomes upset when I don t do so, even though I found the boat and negotiated the price and terms directly with the seller. Use somebody else to sell or buy your new boat, but don t go here.

He even drove the boat to the launch ramp for me when i was in a jam. Hes not only professional but a good guy. When it comes for another purchase ill definitely look him up

He set up every single aspect of closing as we are out of state buyers. Proud new owners of a Sea-Ray 280 Sundancer through Garry Reinhardt to purchase our new boat. Dealing with a Garry was an unforgettable experience, he is a very experienced sales person Who went out of his way to find out everything we needed to know, he is in no way talking you into the sale & we felt totally unpressurized all the way through the deal, when we decided the boat was for us he was there at every turn to guide us through each step of the process, nothing was too much trouble. Regarding assistance with a survey he gave us a list of the people you have on file which led to a recommendation for the surveyor (Arlen Liner) who did a very thorough job of which l was pleased with. He set up the seat rials, which went like clockwork that sealed the deal. Lastly Garry coordinated with Ed Cambers who performed a seamless delivery to our marina. He was optimistic but realistic, gave us a target sale range we should expect, and electronically sent the listing agreement so we could get started. Within days we had the boat cleaned, beautiful pictures taken, and had the boat listed on the numerous sites and marketing vehicles that TYS employs. The best part for us, as sellers, was that Scott handled the tire-kickers and low-ballers without us even having to field a phone call. He worked with qualified buyers and only showed the vessel to those that were clearly the serious parties. We listed the boat in February, so we knew it might take a few months to sell it given the time of year; by early May we had a qualified buyer (from Maryland, which could have been problematic given the distance but which Scott handled flawlessly), scheduled and conducted a sea trial and inspection (also coordinated by Scott) and closed on the sale by mid-month. All funds were sent via wire transfer, including our loan payoff (which Dana in the TYS Finance Office handled, also perfectly); the next morning we saw the boat off on the transporter and Scott even confirmed delivery to her new owners once the delivery was made. My wife and I are working, traveling professionals with several children and the very busy schedule that goes along with it; we simply didnt have the time to sell our boat properly, nor would we have had the know-how to do it well. Left to our own devices we might still be hassling with bottom-feeders and unqualified low-ballers; thankfully Scott and the team at Tampa Yacht Sales were exactly what we needed to make the entire process, from listing to showing to sea trial to closing, a really great experience. If youre selling a boat, dont use Craigslist or similar sites where all youll get is grief and possibly even fraud or worse. My wife and I just purchased a used boat (2008 Century 2400 WA) through Scott McMeekin at Tampa Yacht Sales. We are located in Maryland and had been looking for a boat for about two months. My wife contacted Scott and inquired about the boat, which looked amazing in the pictures. Scott assured her that it was better in real life, and he was not lying. We made an offer the same day and it was accepted. We flew to Florida to conduct inspections and a sea trial. Scott coordinated everything and made the process very easy. All the paperwork was simple and easy to work through, despite us being in Maryland. Everything was handled electronically and through email. The boat was everything that he said it was and more. Scott and the staff at Tampa Yacht Sales made the process of buying, inspecting, and having the boat transported to Maryland a breeze. Everyone was super responsive to emails, calls, and texts. My wife had several bad contacts with brokers ad salesman who were less than pleasant talking to a woman about buying a boat, my wife was exceptionally pleased with Scott and the way he treated her. We took delivery of the boat a few days ago and everything is great. Tampa Yacht Sales and Scott exceeded our expectations. If you are selling or buying a boat, you would be foolish not to call Scott and the members of Tampa Yacht Sales.

Avid boater and boat owner for 35+ years and Shane Faunce provided the best experience ever. As a yacht broker he makes his money on sales but he has integrity where is protects the buyer at the expense of a potential sale. I just bought a 2005 Sea Ray Sundancer 340 from Shane. The sale had some twists and turns not uncommon in boat deals. Shane handled everything professionally and produced a good outcome for all parties. Would definitely recommend Shane to anyone in the market for a new vessel.

We met Shane at the Sarasota Boat Show and from that meeting on he was our Broker. Over the next three months we looked at several boats and choose a 290 SS Sea Ray. The process was truly turn Key, they handled everything from inspections to financing. Once we closed Shane was there for the walk through and coved all of our operating questions.

Up until I met Shane Faunce at Tampa Yacht Sales, I thought that all boat salesmen were con-men. Prior to dealing with Shane, I was shown 9 different boats from 9 different boat brokers. Everyone of them misrepresented the availability, the condition or had outdated photos. When I found the ad, for the boat Brand/Type that I wanted, I was very skeptical. When we met Shane, to see the boat, he was very professional and personable. When we inspected it, Shane was very knowledgeable and detailed. Afterwards, we made an offer by phone and before we got home, we had an e-mail with an offer document, to be e-signed. Shane arranged for and attended, the sea trial and the mechanics inspection, to insure that we were receiving a top notch vessel. The boat had 2 small issues, that Shane scheduled for repair, at the sellers expense. The whole experience, with Shane, could not have been more pleasant and stress-free. In a few years, I plan on upgrading boat size and Shane will be my first and only stop.
