Grow Financial Federal Credit Union: Pasco Store

Just refinanced my car but while I had grow they were great.

I don't know which specific credit union held my auto loan so I'm gonna review this one. I just wanna say though that through all of the issues I had buying my most recent car Grow Financial are the only ones I'm not frustrated with.

I had the call them and discuss and illegal practice the car dealership I got my car from was doing and ask them to pause the loan and not let it process so that I could change the contract before it processed.

The lady I spoke to at the time was very helpful, she confirmed my suspicion that they what the dealership was doing was NOT accurate and that they were in fact speaking on behalf of the credit union (illegal). She was able to find the loan agreement despite it not being completed yet. Put it on hold for me and made sure the finance people knew we were waiting for a contract change.

Then when an auto-pay place I was using had the incorrect amount and was paying my bill 3 cents off, they waved the three cents instead of charging me a late fee.

All in all no issues with grow. If you have a car loan or are looking to refinance I definitely would recommend them.

I want to be clear I do not bank with this establishment. I use credit unions at times to deposit or withdrawal money if needed as my credit union is not close . I am very upset at this establishment. Just the branch itself. The ATM machine kept my card Sunday and upon my return today because I work , I was informed that they collect cards out of the machine every Monday and throw it away. The protocol is inconsiderate and provides an inconvenience. There needs to be a review on the way this is handle because isn’t is it the consumers fault that their raggedy atm machine does not work properly. Knowing this, bank cards should at least be held 7 days prior to disposing. Now I have to go out of my way because this dumb protocol that was created. Do yourself a favor with all this money you making from the poor and get yourself a new atm machine.

Awful attitude today from the woman behind the counter. Made a large cash deposit and wasn’t treated with the customer service I expected. I’m ready to close my account with this bank and this may be my final straw, asked the girl at the front counter “do you need my cash?” And she responded with “that would be helpful” in a very smart mouth way. Asked again if she needed my ID since she did not ask me for it and again she said “that’d be helpful” with an eye roll. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. I’m very disappointed in this branch every other branch I walk in they treat me with respect except for this one. This is the closest branch to me unfortunately so I’m forced to go here and deal with the newly employed branch staff. I will probably be switching banks very soon unless someone reaches out to change my mind. This is absolutely unacceptable!!

New review: After reflecting on my review a few years later, I wanted to give it another shake. As a bank, I loved it. No complaints. This branch in particular has always been incredibly kind and did their best to accommodate, eventually. Not sure if the gripe from my original review was ever resolved as Im in a much different financial situation now and it feels like water under the bridge. Unfortunately Im moving for work now so I figured Id update my feelings on this from kinda sucked to I will probably miss it. Old review: This is my bank and they sent me a scam in the mail. Get thousands of dollars in free insurance. We sent it in and now my account with my last 89 dollars (very broke computer science student) has been cleared out. I tried to get them to dispute the charge but they wouldnt, even though theyre the ones that scammed me in the first place. I love grow financial and have been coming here for years, but this just breaks my heart.

I have been with grow for a few years now. What more can I say than that. I have never had a problem that wasnt fixed immediately. Everyone is always so nice and make sure I understand everything I have ever asked about. Recently I took my boyfriends sons girlfriend to open an account. Tina Michalicka was the best. Grow Financial is a good institution. However, they are too busy to even answer the phones. I had to come personally and Thank God I met with Bee Lee and she is a caring, professional and wonderful human being who attended to all my needs and she is very emphatic when it come to customers. This is an updated review. My husband and I opened several accounts about six years ago and although the service was excellent when we first started, it has completely gone downhill. Not only has the customer service been horrible but they have the WORST ATM in the whole county. Consistently this machine is down, which makes it completely useless for conducting after hours banking. I rushed to get to the bank yesterday by 5 and just made it before they locked the door in my face. With the ATM not working, I was unable to deposit money into my account and could not pay my first of the month bills that were due. This has happened so many times that we are definitely closing our accounts and going to a different bank.

My first experience here was stellar. They went down hill. Now it takes a very long time to be serviced to open a new account or to sit and discuss issues that you may have. I waited for an hour and I still was not able to receive customer service. I left after waiting for an hour. Zero service. Zero customer service. The 4.5 stars Google reviews is inaccurate. They are 0 stars. We put people before profit is false advertising. They put member-owners last here. If it was not for us they would not have a job. I would not recommend them to anyone. If they lack customer service on the front end, they will lack it on the back end. Save yourself time that you would have waited just to talk to someone and save yourself the aggravation of having to wait a very long time for service. Go elsewhere. Go to either Achieva Credit Union OR MidFlorida Credit Union which are also on State Road 54.

This location does absolutely nothing to help their customers. I have fraudulent activity on my account and they wont do anything about it inside this location! Dont ever use the location on 54 in npr if you need help they are useless.

I am a business owner that just moved my company to Pasco. I was looking for a financial institution to do business with. I wasnt interested in doing business with the big banks I wanted to do something different and keep it local. I wanted to see what Pasco had to offer. I used google and found Grow Financial. They had been open for over 10 years and close to 5 stars in there reviews. I called the customer service line. There was no long requirements to bank with them which I loved. I came in on Saturday. Shout out to Julia, Kimberly, and Julie. It was such a pleasure. My operational officer and I turned Julie red that day. Everyone is so sweet and funny. I have additional businesses and I know exactly where I am going to bank. We actually are heading back today. Get ready Grow!!!

Best bank experience ... I did a dumb thing, left my atm card in the atm, came back to the bank thinking I would need to cancel my card... You know the drill. Walked in and Julie, Bonnie and Kim had that card (because Grow Atms are programmed to take the card if you leave it in) had it back to me in a minute. Love Grow, the kind attitude, their understanding and professionalism helped me avoid a disaster and just made my weekend.

This credit union is the best I ever belonged to,my credit was down in the dumps and sonny has been working with me to rebuild it back. Sonny was able to work with grow financial on getting me a credit card to rebuild my credit and there was no other bank to work with me but sonny went above and beyond to get a credit card for me. I put an order in for cash a week ago. Im still waiting. I have to beg for my money. Acting manager had a bad attitude on state rd 54.

It seems that no matter what day of the week I go to this branch or what time of day I go...I wait at least 10-15 mins to get to a teller window. Branch is way understaffed. Come on guys...hire some people to help your customers.

I have been a member of Grow Financial Federal Credit Union since 1978 when it was named MacDill Federal Credit Union and I have NEVER had an issue that was not resolved immediately. I have had both CC/Debit card fraud with my accounts through Grow. As soon as I realized there was an issue, I reported it to them. My accounts were IMMEDIATELY made whole while their Fraud Dept. conducted their investigation. When the investigation was completed Id receive notification. I am writing about this today because I stumbled on numerous BBB complaints regarding G.F.F.C.U.S handling of misc questionable transactions and frankly its hard to believe. These days, if I make an online purchase I am contacted within minutes of my purchase by the Fraud Protection Department to verify that I DID in fact authorize that purchase. I feel very safe and protected by this financial institution and plan to remain a member for life.

They are fair ,they let you know of suspicious activity and they dont charge you for a new card if you need a replacement.

I will be closing my accounts due to inept service and poor benefits. Chronic employee errors cost me more than this credit unions services is worth.

Had a bad experience with whoever is the manager (never saw him/her). I had to take my husband to er and could not make deposit. As a result overdrafts! I went into bank to ask if they could take them off. They said no since I had 2 during the year. Those overdrafts eventually cost me triple and I had to borrow money to straighten it out. Very uncompassionate Customer service. My husband did end up in surgery and this has put a large damper on things. Will not recommend Grow ever like I did in the past. Merry Christmas!

Sandra has been most helpful when I go inside. Today, she went above and beyond to help me and my four children make my 9 year old sons first deposit with the bills and quarters that he has been saving. Her kindness was appreciated.
