I dont have a problem with this specific branch but navy federal as a whole ! My dog was abused at bandfield pet hospital. I open a claim submitted all the information that I had including pictures of my dog suffering , lawyer, and their horrific reviews but navy federal still refused to let me continue with a charge back. I was told the visit would be $65 and it was way over that amount and I didn t get the service I was there for. I ve decided to close this account.

This location has the worst service. It s ridiculous how much business they get and won t open another branch They never have the ATM working so therefore the line to get inside is always extremely long I drive all the way from Palm Beach County because this is the closest branch. Navy federal needs to service their members who live north of Miami better. It s dangerous coming to Miami when you re not familiar with the area. I hate Navy Federal for this.

Omg all the reviews regarding this location were so true. Yes parking is a good walk away from location, but they do validate. Yes my garage is probably bigger than this location. You feel like you are on top of each other. No one working there smiles its like there not happy to help you. Its a shame that our military have to endure such a place to conduct their banking. They would have gotten 1 star if it wasnt for Ashley, she was great. Not sure how a person in a wheelchair would move around in there because they do have a teller that is accessible. I was told that theyre opening up a few more locations. I just hope that those locations are more convenient and friendly than this one on Brickell.

This so inconvenient. There is no parking and the ATM is NEVER working outside of the office hours. Today is Memorial Day and the ATM has been down all weekend. This is so insane and so inconvenient. You just have to do better for your customers, especially when this is the only branch in Miami to make a deposit.

My wife and I went to an appointment at this location on March 19th in order to explore the financing options of a cargo van for our business. I was hoping the NFCU would assist me. I have a financial relationship with them since 2017. Have my checking and savings account with direct deposit and two credit cards with them, which I pay 100% on time. I had good credit, good income, and money for a down-payment. The meeting didnt last long. Once I let the agent know about the cargo van, he stopped and told me they did not deal with commercial vehicles loan there. Then he gave me a number and a pamphlet for their commercial department to call and see if they can help me. AND JUST LIKE THAT, the meeting was over. I went home, call the number and was told that I needed to become a member of their commercial program, open a business account with $250 dollars and then they can consider my situation with the commercial vehicle. I decided not to pursue anything with NFCU. My next stop was to do the research in Google and YouTube. Lots of information, some good, some not-so-good, but still more than I got from NFCU. 4 weeks ago, I was fully approved for the cargo van I needed ($39k) by 2 major banks with whom I NEVER had a financial relation before. Their customer service was superb, and all questions were answered at the same location and immediately and did not require any money or membership to assess my situation. I also got 2 business credit cards and a business checking account, none with NFCU. I was truly hoping to deal with NFCU. As a Navy Veteran, I felt the NFCU was the way to go. I never got a follow-up call back or email from NFCU. The other institutions were on top of it, making sure they earned my business.

There is only maybe one or two tellers inside. There needs be more branches open cause this is beyond ridiculous and sad!!! Just returned from a 2 hr journey to the Navy Federal CU ATM located in the WORST possible location in Miami to deposit money, which BTW cost me $15 to park because 909 SE 1st Ave Brickell area is so crowded. Your slogan is Serve Members...how are you doing that by keeping the ONLY ATM that accepts deposits in a 50 mile radius??? Why not place an ATM at the Southcom Command or strike a deal with other banks to accept deposits. A multi-billion corporation like NFCU should be able to come up with a solution. Member since 1993...Your customers deserve better!

There couldn t be a worse location in ALL of South Florida for Veterans than this downtown Brickell area. I served as COO to one of S Florida s largest Veterans orgs. Planned events with the VA and knew a few directors over the years. As far as the demographics of where Veterans are and where they live in the area, downtown has the least amount of Veterans of the entire area. This forces Veterans to make a long journey into the worst traffic and congestion in the entire area then typically find no parking. The branch is severely overcrowded and understaffed with customers smashed into a tiny, tiny office space with several having to wait outsides, Daily! Whomever made the decision to put a branch in this area at NFCU, is an absolutely inept person. Seriously, they ve done every South Florida Veteran a disservice by doing so and clearly not doing their due diligent homework. With a single location for a 124 mile radius in South Florida, including Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and the Florida Keys, this is beyond poor management and service. If there was a minus star, they ve earned it here.

ZERO STARS. For this to be the only Navy Fed location in all of Miami you gotta be kidding me this place sucks. Literally a whole in the wall I felt like I was standing in line at the DMV. Got called up and instantly the lady had an attitude. If you don t want to handle people then GET A DIFFERENT JOB. Most people who bank with Navy Fed are either a veteran or actively serving in some capacity, we don t deserve to be treated which such disregard, nor does any person. While standing in line I watched her treat every customer basically the same way. I wish I would ve got her name so I could put it on here for everyone and her managers to see. This lady was sitting by the front door at the desk on April 1st 2024 in case the managers wanna know, fire this women or train her better on people skills, she makes your business look bad.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ive been banking with them since 2017 up until now. Navy Federal is the worst bank/credit union Ive been to. Extremely unprofessional employees and their customer support hotline is downright horrible and never help with your issues. Not to mention this bank sides with the merchant instead of its client. After my own bank wouldnt help me out and after losing money with them through disputes, i am finally going next week to close this account permanently. I will no longer let irresponsible individuals handle my money. I would not recommend this establishment to no one. Please stay away from this bank/credit union as it will screw its clients over.

At the Brickell agency the service is very good but the service at the corporate office is terrible. I requested copies of account statements on December 28, 2023, I called Darryl Wingate on January 29, 2024 only to be told that they had not processed my request and to hear ridiculous excuses, to this day they do not give me the statements of accounts I am requesting. From security, to the front desk, to the banker, this was an overall pleasant experience. Im a stickler for customer service, and they provided top notch. Parking was validated, so I didnt have to pay the parking fee. They even assisted customer service with clarifying additional information regarding my transaction. The people at this branch act like they don t want to be at work! Especially the lady in the middle seat in the front that sits with her back turned! I mean I wouldn t wana work in a storage container either but I didn t apply for employment. Then the nearest parking is $15 (BRING SOMEONE TO SIT IN YOUR CAR SO YOU CAN JUST TURN ON YOUR HAZARD LIGHTS AND NOT GET A TICKET FROM THE VERY EAGER TICKETERS LOL) you can also expect a wait! One star is still too much! I am a Marine veteran and have been banking with Navy Fed in many different states for over 18 years. This location in Brickell is convenient, but the ladies working there are absolutely unpleasant, unprofessional, and have no customer service manners at all. Im only speaking for the ones we interacted with, their maybe someone there who is wonderful. We just didnt meet them. Everyone one is chewing gum, eye rolling customers, short with responses, and music in the background sounds like Sunday service or an R&B concert. Please address, or we will simply stop utilizing NFCU. Thank you.

Location is absolutely inconvenient for people who don t live in the area. There are no proper signs for parking and even when we finally figured out the garage, there was a cone that was marked full but there were clearly spaces. Understaffed. No viewable signage for a bathroom which makes one wonder if there even is one. There were only 3 people working, and we were given a 1 hour wait time ATLEAST. This wasn t even lunch time or a time where you d expect a bank to be overwhelmed. The waiting area was packed and it s abominably small. Needless to say, there were not enough chairs. The comment to me was come first thing in the morning to be serviced.. which means this is a recurrent thing. I d sooner drive to Orlando than revisit the Miami branch. I wish I d read the other reviews before going. Would have saved me 2 hours of driving since there is only ONE NAVY FEDERAL IN ALL OF SOUTH FLORIDA. like who works logistics on these things ?

I have been banking with you guys for a while now, and not once was I ever disrespected and disregarded like this. I went into the branch to deposit a check. The only check I will receive until mid January. The representative was unprofessional and did not provide any details about the deposit . The bank is closed today. So, I am only assisted via phone. I have been transferred numerous times and have yet to receive a solution to my problem. It is not fair to wait more than 3 days for half of what I worked hard for.

If I could give zero stars I would. Navy Federal does not advocate for the customer when disputing charges. I was charged several times for services I did not receive. Every single dispute I have filed with Navy Federal has been denied. I have never experienced anything like this. I m being forced to pay for services I didn t receive. I have several other accounts with major banks such as Chase etc. I have NEVER experienced this with any other major bank. If a charge is disputed, my claim is processed and properly investigated. In the world we live in with soo much fraud, I am truly disappointed with Navy for always siding with the merchant and allowing them to rob Navy federal customers. I have never had to pay for services I didn t receive with any other bank. NAVY FEDERAL needs to do better for their customers. And good luck trying to resolve via customer service, you will be told to send a message on the app and wait for someone to get back to you in the claims department . UNACCEPTABLE!!!! I m looking forward to seeing a class action lawsuit against this bank . The way Navy handles claims is unjust and downright illegal.

Terrible location. Its right in Brickell, so you have to pay to park. The lobby is tiny, and because its the only physical location members can visit in the entire South Florida region, there are lines out the door. Terrible bank for veterans for disputing charges. I ordered items from a vendor from China which take 45-50 days to arrive which was delayed. Vendor then quit responding so I disputed charges for never receiving items. Bank denied claim because over 60 days. Extremely disappointing. Now searching for another bank to support me. What terrible customer service. Lost $1500. Not here for their consumers

Beware of getting an auto loan with NFCU. They did not appropriately explain their loan rates and stated conflicting information from what is clearly defined and disclosed on their website. We ended up with a much higher interest rate than what was communicated to us. This is really disappointing considering the community they are supposed to serve.

Parking is NOT available. I don t care what NFCU says. It s not. They do not have their own parking lot. If you park in the garage where they validate, it s UNPRACTICAL for DISABLED people, you have to come in WHEN THEY ARE OPEN, and STAND IN LINE to get validation. Its NOT PRACTICAL. This is the only Navy Federal in Miami Fort Lauderdale Key West area with one ATM machine that never works for cash deposits I come at night to try to beat some of the traffic all the way from Fort Lauderdale only to get here. Today at about 11am I called to conduct a wire transfer. I was speaking to the customer service rep by the name of Eric. I advised him of the information for the wire transfer and then he asked if I could contact the western union to confirm if they have the funds. I told him no I did not but I have sent money there before and when they dont have the funds they just send me to their main location. He proceeded to tell me he couldnt send the money and I told him that its ok to move forward with the transaction. He again told me he couldnt, and I advised him it was my money and he is covered because I authorized it. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for about 3-5 minutes, during that time I sent a message thru whats app to the western union that we typically pick up the funds. They responded that they did. When Gina came on the phone I explained to he what happened and that I was upset that Eric did not transfer the funds and didnt make any sense. I then told her that I contacted western union and then she stated your just saying that to get it to go thru I explained to her it was an emergency and she really didnt care or showed any sympathy or empathy. Im hoping that these individuals just are just having a bad day, because no customer should be called a liar or made feel this way, especially when its my own money. She then told me to go to a branch, I told her that the nearest branch is 1hr and 30min away and her response was kind of an oh well type of answer. She then said send a message thru the system, I then told her that will take at least 2 days and this is an emergency and she didnt care. Someone should really listen in on the call and observe how it went. I honestly doubt anyone at your institution cares or Ill even get a response back or even an apology. To be denied a transfer for an emergency is really nuts.

If I could give zero stars I would. We drove from Palm Beach County because we were unable to handle business over the phone and this is the nearest location. Go figure, the 1.5-hour drive and then a long wait time. Next, parking sucks, you must park in a garage and pay. Overall, if youre unaware and you park in the Brickell garage instead of the PNC garage its your loss. Secondly, the area is small inside and there is no privacy so everyone inside can hear all of your business. The branch manager is there yet does not offer assistance to customers waiting. She sits in her office. As I write this post someone walked in reeking of marijuana, therefore, with the space being small and the poor air quality its ridiculously disgusting. It is hot and stinky inside this office, and the extreme waiting time does not help. I need to consider another bank because this is ridiculous on top of only having 1 location for customers residing in South Florida.

Lets start by saying that its the only branch in South Florida because it is for s very targeted public. This can make the process very stressful but as now, Im happy with it. This bank has allowed someone to open up 3 fraudulent accounts in my name with no identification. When I questioned Thomas who would not give me his last name, he told me that he will not give me any information about it. I have no affiliation with the military, and the bank did nothing to be sure of it. SCAM on every level! Stay away!

Will be reiterating what many have said here: there is no parking, but that isnt the worst part. Either police or parking enforcement will sit there and ticket your vehicle even though they themselves block traffic while sitting there to do it. The staff isnt friendly and clearly has zero sympathy for the journey everyone had to endure to get to this location. And we do know there are many things we can handle over the phone or via the website, but when we need a cashiers check for large amounts they have screwed up mailing it in the past so we cannot trust that service either. Seeing as I had the hoir long drive home once after a situation warranted this, Ive called NFCU customer service and escalated to management. They have no plans of opening a new branch anywhere else in South Florida, even with the complaints they continuously receive. Having moved from Tampa, where there are 3 branches within a 20-mile radius, this is ridiculously inconvenient living in Broward. Id be happy to drive to Miami if when I arrived there was parking and friendly staff to assist but, unfortunately, that isnt the case. We have started closing accounts at this point and plan to leave the credit union completely.

This is the worst bank i have ever used. They have never done right by me. They have long waits on the phone, you get through all the automated secuirty questions, then they ask you more. Whats the point of the automated questions? They arent convenient, they are rude, they use to deposit your check 3 days eaely, now MAYBE Youll get in 1-2 days earlier. I did a mobile deposit, because the location nearest me is 1.5 hours away.Im military family, have no choice where we live, when we signed up it was convenient. The image looked fine on my end, i sent it, 20 days later i check on it, they declined it due to the image. Do you think they called or informed me? Nope!! 2 days prior to me checking on it, I spilled a drink on it, now i have to drive an hour 1 way, to get a new check. All they had to do was tell me 20 days prior. Why did it take 20 days for them to deny it? All the lady kept doing was apologizing, i dont want to HEAR Im sorry IF your not going to fix the problem. Im moving banks.

Only location in all of South FL. Even though you can do a good portion of your business online, there are still times when you have to be in person and that is the banks biggest flaw. The line is always down the street, even though the parking is free its still a hassle to find, fit and/or get validated, traffic 24/7 due to location, wait time is about 30 min on average and you risk it all to drive up and try run to the atm or the cops get you 99% of the time. Why is there only ONE branch in south FL yet you have active military all over this State, Veterans, Veterans families, etc who need to get their banking done.... and done EASIER! The customer service is ok but that does not matter because you can barely get in the bank. I will be looking for a new bank soon. I had the same issue when I lived in New England. The closest physical branch within 100 miles was in Newport, RI. Navy Federal, you must do better. Us Veterans live everywhere, so you should be everywhere. Very disappointed.

As a member of Navy Federal and service member, I made contact to seek information on opening a business account and taking advantage of all their offerings . However at the end of speaking to the financial rep I was left angered and gravely disappointed in their dishonest business practices . I was informed that if I applied for multiple services in a 24hr timeframe , my credit will pulled for each transaction,this resulting in my credit being ruined by the time I should leave or concluded the transactions. So if I started with 850 score at the end I might be reduced to a 650score. Shame on you Navy Fed!

Wait times are horrible. No parking ever, please do not own a truck, you will never ever find a spot. Always see alot of Miami police movement here, like if there is a problem everytime. Weird, there are two other banks same block that do not have the police presence. Do not know the Why? Customer service needs a refresh on service. Wait times are approx, 2 hours. THE ABSOLUTE WORST CREDIT UNION!!!! Navy credit union should seriously look into hiring well equip individuals that understands their system. Not an agent or supervisor was able to fix what I called in for. I simply need to have my direct deposits set to be available for me on Thursdays instead of Fridays. But unfortunately, because I m not in active duty, they can t do it? Like what? This seriously is the absolute ghetto . Then I got because my account was in the negative, it can t be done. (My account has never been in the negative) then they stated the system will automatically pick up the recurring direct deposits and automatically enrolled me to getting my checks Thursdays. Ive been a member since 1997. In the last 5 years I started my own business. I deposit a substantial amount of money in a consistent pattern and always from the same company. Then a month ago security flagged my account and is now holding all my deposits for 5 business days when their policy is 2 business days. There has never been an issue with my account. They will not tell me what the issue is. They will not tell me if this is temporary or permanent. They will only tell me its an internal security matter. When all these funds clear Im taking my 6 figure withdrawal to a bank that wont play these games.

There was a line to get in the door and I stood outside in the Miami Rain with promenant street fumes for 40 mintues. There is one outside ATM and was one Teller inside. There are 3 Parallel Parking spots in front with one way access and they are always occupied. This forces Members to use the parking lot at 800 Avenue. Take a ticket and the Teller will validate it for free parking exit. Masks are still required inside, which will be provided if you dont have one. Navy Federal has go to do better for their Members. Maybe add a full service ATM in other locations of Miami, that isnt 200 miles away.

The staff and tellers are super friendly and helpful. I will say that the parking situation needs to be addressed. Since the branch is located in downtown Miami there is almost nowhere to park other than at payed public parking lots or if your lucky in a street metered parking spot. Aside from parking this is a good location. I wish they would open another location somewhere else. While they validate the parking ticket, the garage is very cumbersome and tight. Ive seen people with trucks scratch up their trucks as they go up each level. It is a tight turn going up each level. The branch itself is small; super small. The teller area and waiting area. I think I saw maybe one office should you need to talk to a financial adviser. The plus side was that they had muffins and juice. My son got a kick out of that. If food is involved, he is a happy camper. My suggestion to this credit union...open another location. I am sure that the demand is there.

WARNO!! DO NOT WORK WITH NAVY FEDERAL! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I do not even know where to begin. After reading other reviews I am not surprised as their experience reiterates my horrible experience. My closing for my home has been postponed and not met. This is my 4th home and it is the most exhausting and incompetent experience I ever have had. I would just like to warn all of you trying to search for your future mortgage lender to please highly consider going somewhere, ANYWHERE, else. They will not do anything for weeks and then at the last moment after you call them, email them, wait on hold on their customer service line and bag for someone, anyone to call you back and help you, and their supervisor and you are transferred to multiple different specialist and processors, you still will not have a successful experience. We had heard nothing but great things about Navy Federal before we decided to choose them as our mortgage lender. At first everything went pretty smoothly. Once we reached the appraisal stage, everything took a turn for the worse. It took them two weeks to send us the final results for the appraisal and during that time, we almost lost the house all because they claimed to be backed up . I left two messages for the supervisor for our case and received nothing back. Then we were notified that our processor had changed. That new processor took almost a week to reach out to us, which is a long time considering we were at the final couple of weeks before closing. Finally, a week before closing, the new processor told us that my mother in law actually could not be approved to buy the house unless her soon to be ex-husband signed to basically approve the purchase as well as (for his sake), sign a homestead exemption. Now, if we had known this before we lost our financing contingency (meaning the clause the protected our escrow (90k)), we probably would have backed out of the deal because I know my father-in-law, and he is a stubborn and selfish man. No legal wording has been good enough for him because indemnities and exemptions don t always hold up in the court of law. Again, Navy Federal did not do their due diligence and decided to let us know SOMETHING THIS IMPORTANT ONE WEEK FROM CLOSING AFTER OUR ESCROW WAS NO LONGER PROTECTED! They have backed us into a corner and I have left multiple complaints with customer service representatives and have heard ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BACK FROM ANY SUPERVISOR OR PERSON OF INFLUENCE. If I could leave zero stars, I would.

This is the ONLY nfcu in south Florida. I had an incident where I lost my debit card on the other side of town. I fight through traffic and made it there at 501. They closed at 5pm. The guy was letting a customer out. I explain to him my situation and the guy closed the door in my face. One minute late. My father is a 70 year old Vietnam vet. Is on an oxygen tank and lives 60 miles Northeast of Houston, Tx. My 93 old grandmother who is unfortunately very senile and cannot be left alone also lives with them. Dad does not know how to work on a computer and does not have internet service there and gets no signal on a cell phone due to their rural area. He cannot leave the house to drive the 30 miles to the nearest Navy Federal Credit Union so hes asked me his oldest son to open up an account so he can apply for a VA loan which he is eligible for and has good credit. I started on May 27th. We have made multiple phone calls but there are no notes taken during the initial stage so nobody knows whats going on each time we call. They ask for additional information to verify identity to be safe which is understandable. Today is June 20th. I faxed all the information in and after I faxed it they still didnt have it and said to call back 3 days later this is after 7 phone calls over the last three and a half weeks to see what was going on and what the status was. I so far Im very disappointed in how its handled when youre applying to open up a $5 savings account. I have three way call with my father, I have had him call individually, I have called multiple times. I have sent them information via fax as requested & I still have no clue whats going on. My dad did not even want to open up an account with them he wanted to go with USAA because they were easy to deal with and they already gave him a quote. I told him to try out Navy Federal Credit Union based upon a very good childhood friend thats a realtor that praised Navy Federal Credit Union. Our last email from Navy Federal Credit Union was May 27th also and I have yet to hear anything back after multiple calls & we get no kind of responses through the email. I am very disappointed to say the least as I dont have time to continually call and call and call and send stuff over and over. We have sent stuff VIA u.s. mail and faxed it at this point and weve still heard nothing it should not take a month to open up a $5 savings account especially after multiple calls from that party. I am in Florida and he is in Texas however we have explained herself multiple times but each time nobody has any nuts and they dont understand whats going on after we explain everything in my dad is getting highly agitated because he doesnt like being on the phone that long because my grandmother is constantly try to walk out of the room or pulling the phone from him Etc. Mortgage Dept, is a joke! Called 3 days ago and started a refinance application. Called back to try and get basic info about good faith cost estimates and can t get a hold of the handler or the supervisor. When I called early afternoon on a Friday was told a supervisor will call me soon. All is good until you dispute a charge with their CC department! No follow-up, No representation, mixed information, depending on the employee attending you, you get a different answer every time. the 48hr window to answer their messages through the email is an actual average of 3 weeks to get a very basic we dont know type an answer. It has now been 10 months that I started a claim for 2 transactions to the same vendor. One got solved favorably, the other did not because of some technicality they did not foresee...that to me qualifies like you messed up and owe me money. This is the 1st of a long list of reviews and complaint I will start with them after the months of being treated like an idiot. 3rd claim to same vendor got solved in less than 30 days by Chase bank with less information, proper follow-up and basic COMMON SENSE!

The automated system/toll free is the only options if you run into issues. If they are having issues with that system you will be unable to reach them. Like I am, I got paid today, unable to check the balance by phone by app or online and it all points you back to the toll free number that wasn t working from the first place.
