I walked in planning to be there for at least an hour while setting up a new account. I sat down with Briana, and she had my account up and running within 10 minutes. Always nothing but a pleasant time when we come to this branch. From the tellers to the security to the new accounts & managers everyone is & has since day one been amazing to us. We even opened our business accounts & others with them. Happy to invest our money back into Duval with this branch & bank. Thanks so much Community First Credit Union. Very happy!!

I've been a long time customer of this establishment for ten years. The staff has always remained impeccably kind, personal, and passionate about people. This is the very thing that has drawn Marine Corps veterans like myself to this credit union because of their commitment to detail and the environment of professionalism. They set the tone of a family atmosphere once their doors open.
Just recently over a month ago their has been a change of guard amongst the staff and I've witnessed a mood shift in the building that is not good. The staff that I've done business with for many years seem to carry less smiles and more stress in their workplace. One bad encounter I've experienced was from one of the employees whom I've never met before. He called me up and I've requested a three month bank statement print out that I needed to bring to the VA after leaving the bank. He refused to print it out and told me in a dismissive matter I need to go online and retrieve it. Without a pause asked is there anything else? I then showed him a text from my son showing a receipt from Zelle that he sent me $300 and I should have it. Though this had nothing to do with the bank I was expecting some type of constructive feedback as to what's going on. Once again I was met with another dismissive "Go to your son's bank and let them figure out." From that point I refuse to do business with this individual. Over a month has passed and I've noticed this employee is not engaged with the public at all. I'm at the bank almost daily from working and I learned that this same guy who does not smile is their new branch manager. I am not surprised this disengaged branch manager who never introduced himself to the patrons walking in is causing a negative paradigm shift amongst the staff and loyal customers who look forward to the smiles of staff who embrace their challenges in search of a remedy. This Branch Manager named Douglas K. Jones Jr. I speak of highly has poor people skills. When you walk in the bank expect to see him peering over his monitor as a watcher not an engager of solving people's problems. By the way, this is the receipt I showed him from my son.

When PNC Bank purchased BBVA Bank, we ran into numerous problems. We moved our accounts to VyStar Credit Union which was convenient to us. Zero response to phone calls or emails and summarily declined to refinance our residence only because it was owned by our Revocable Living Trust. So less than thirty (30) days later we closed those accounts and moved to Community First. Almost perfect service; friendly, professional staff; and the Merrill Road Branch Manager is absolutely the best. Refinanced our residence promptly and efficiently. The location is less convenient for us but all the things that matter are exactly what you would want them to be. I highly recommend them to anyone!

This is what happened today. I walked up and the security gentleman opened the door for me. It was all hands on deck, 3 people working the front. I only had to wait a few minutes. Long enough to get my feet tapping. They play the best music while Im waiting! Everyone is so super nice, friendly and upbeat. I got Mark. Yahhh! I think he is the most outgoing and enthusiastic one there! He took care of my checks and withdraw, as we listened to Johnny Cash sing Ring of Fire Mark told me that my most important job today was to have a great day! Then I walked out with a little bit brighter outlook on my day! I couldnt ask for anything more!

Samantha and Reggie literally answered all of our questions on a Saturday leading in to closing. The customer service they provided was top tier. Great service, minimal wait times during busy Saturday hours, and they are not stingy with loaning money, unlike other credit unions in this town who supposedly never forget its your money. I have been to this location several times for many different services over the last five years, and have never been disappointed.

I am a little be late with writing my review however I must say I have been a member of community first credit union for about 7 years now. I have paid off one of my cars though them and now working on paying off my second car thanks to Mr. Reginald. From the time I first met him he has been nothing but helpful to me. Not only did he help me with my loan but he also with some other issues I will having. Not only is Reginald helpful, he is also very professional, knowledgeable and makes sure his members get all the questions answered before we leave and if he can not get us the answer then he will call you with the answer. Thank you Mr. Reginald for everything you have done for me. I would recommend you to anyone I know when it comes to your customer server.

Do not deal with this bank. They ve the most incompetent people I ve dealt with a bunch of thieves. I have auto pay, and they still charge me a late fee. These people are scumbags. I walked in the bank and asked him to give me an itemized deduction he couldn t do it then my car loan has been paid off for two months and they still haven t reported to the credit bureau

My sister and I started at another credit union, but the branch was so unwelcoming we abandoned that option before even making it to a banker. CMCU, however, was great from the start. The check-in was clear. As we waited in the cute seating area for a banker, we watched the personable tellers interacting so pleasantly with their clients. Then... Reggie Jolly showed up. What a fantastic experience! Reggie was professional and fun, explained everything very clearly, and helped my sister choose the right accounts. Emrah was the representative that helped me begin and open a couple different checking accounts. I had more Than a couple questions and he fulfilled them all! I haven t had a real Bank in a long time, using usaa comes with challenges not having branches, but Emrah made it so smooth and explained things to the fullest extent! Thank you Emrah!!!

I had a great experience this morning with Emrah. I came in to get replacement debit card (due to fraud). Ebrahim not only greeted me with a pleasant smile and a warm demeanor but he gave me Excellent customer service by providing additional information on opening a business account. Which these days is very rare to find. I will definitely ve back to the Merrill branch!

Impossible to get in touch with a representative. Trying to find out why my card is locked And I can t even get the info and waiting at a store having to put my groceries back. Terrible. Held on for 20 minutes without any service at all. All I m hearing is promotion products and that isn t helping me. I m closing my account. And I don t even care to have anyone contact me and trying to settle my dispute. This happens way too much.

They talk about other peoples finances in front of you. Do not go here. My husband went to see if they had a program, was treated very rudely. As he was standing there talking to someone, another employee came up and was telling her ALL the details of someones private account. In front of my husband. Dont trust this location with your information.

I have been with this credit union going on almost 16 years. I am a military spouse which means I don t live in the area and have not for some time. However, I have always kept my account and used it. I had my debt card number stolen and the time it took to get my card was so frustrating. Why don t you offer express mailing of items for members who don t live in the area?! Also, any time I need to get money in a larger sum, for example when I purchased my house, it takes complaining and threatening to close my account to get someone to work with me. Customer service over the last 3 years has made me consider closing my account on more than one occasion. Community First get it together or I will be closing my account!

One of the worst locations and customer service Ive experienced with community first. District managers need to fire the staff at this location. I work for a bank and no customers should be treated the way the staff treated me on Saturday. I came in to withdraw $100 for a wedding gift and was told I could not have a single hundred dollar bill. If I keep my money at your bank you better give me what I ask for. If you are running out then order some like youre supposed to do. very disappointing and considering moving my money since Im denied access to the bills I need.

I started banking here shortly after my husband died in 2017. Without exception, they always provide stellar customer service; they are patient with me, explain what I dont understand and offered comfort when I had to take a copy of my husbands death certificate to take him off our joint account. And, they are the only banking establishment I ever have banked that has 9:00 AM--5:00 PM Saturday hours! I will never bank anywhere else. I love my credit union!

I have been a member here since 2001, and for normal banking services they are equal to most others. They are no worse or better than their competitors in this way. For past purchases for an automobile and a motorcycle, pre-approval was efficient and fast. That no longer seems to be the case, however, and I would recommend going to another institution or using one of the online lenders. In requesting pre-approval for a motorcycle loan, the process was noticeably more tedious and convoluted. Both my wife and I came away from the signing of the documents confused about the process, and a week after being approved for the loan and signing the documents did we find out that we had one more step to complete - a document for the dealer. Then the dealer has their step to complete, and then then they notify the credit union. Finally, the credit union mails the check. And none of this process appears to be done electronically - all hand-carried, faxed/mailed, etc. So, a week after being approved and signing the documents, I have a loan and no motorcycle, and I will probably not have the motorcycle for another week. I am willing to accept that I dropped the ball in not getting the documents to the dealer, but the process itself must share part of the blame. The exact process was not outlined clearly, and then the back and forth between me, dealer, and credit union seems excessive, particularly because it can be handled electronically. This was definitely much more complex and convoluted than the previous loan experiences. I will not request a loan through Community First in the future.

In 1963 I joined Community First when the offices were located in the basement of an older school building. After all these years I have no complaints. In fact, I love where I bank!

I love the customer service I get here. Everyone is so nice, and they take their time to help. Had issues with my debit card and a check I was depositing in the ATM, was 5 minutes to 5. A couple of the employees stuck around to help until the issue was resolved. Showed me they cared about me as a customer. Dont get that kind of service at many places anymore.

Poor customer service every time I come. Bankers are rude and dont give you accurate information. ATM eats our 200 cash deposit on the day of a hurricane while we are trying to evacuate. Was not apologized to by Alice at the Merrill road location who was very rude and told me I could wait in the lobby, but I was there with my husband and had a right to be there. I told her I this was an emergency situation and she was rude and never apologized for the inconvenience and told it may take 48 hours to see our cash deposit. Cash deposits I was told were available immediately. They even advertise how their ATM can accept so many different deposits. The day before it rejected my paycheck deposit which I had to deal with a banker for over an hour for before I finally had resolution. How am I supposed to get a hotel or gas when I cant pay for it now ? I guess me and my family will have nowhere to go tonight thanks to community first credit union and their poor customer service and non trustworthy machine. Dont bank here youre better off throwing your money out the window.

very dishonest service, I will be taking my loan back to Navy Federal a honest Credit Union. This (Bank) gives me nothing but problems and is always trying to overcharge me. I do not believe this is a real credit union, Do not Bank here.

Not impressed with this bank. They do not understand the importance of a loyal customer and are in business for themselves only! I have been a customer since the age of 16 and I will be moving all of my accounts to another institution.
