I recently went into Morningstar’s to get a battery replacement for an old watch, and to have it cleaned. It’s not an expensive high-end watch, but it’s still just a nice looking watch I bought many years ago when I wanted to look nice at my job but couldn’t afford something like a Rolex. The staff here were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. And not only did they replace the battery and clean it, it was so clean that the numbers on the dial actually SPARKLED in the light! Amazing job, Thank you Morningstar!

Went into the store this morning to have the band changed on my Rolex and met with Matt. He took great care of me and it didn't take five minutes for his watch specialist to put on the band.
They were super friendly and when I asked how much I owe them they said $0.

Wonderful, professional, and knowledgeable staff. Bought my first Rolex from them and they were not only the best price for the piece that I was looking for but they had the best selection out of all of the shops around the area. They also knew a lot about the model of the watch besides the usual answer from some shops that "it's a Rolex." They definitely know about the different models in their inventory. Always friendly and easy to deal with as well. Will definitely be returning in the future!!!!!!

6/3/2023. Wanted to add an update to my review. Morningstar’s came through again with outstanding customer service and an excellent watch. This time I purchased a Rolex Day Date 18038 which I was searching for. They immediately had the watch and just like the Datejust was in beautiful shape. Their watch specialist are amazing and the Rolex looks stunning. Morningstar’s is the only place I’d trust with an older and vintage Rolex timepiece

Nice selection of crosses and crucifixes. Caroline and Johnny were both extremely helpful, and they wanted to make sure I was 100% happy with my purchase. We picked out a chain first and then the crucifix. They also worked with me to get as close to my budget as possible. I am glad I stopped in, very nice and welcoming environment.

Their positive reviews must be fakes. I don't see how so many "similar" stories of "free" services when Morningstar's Jewelers & Pawnbrokers are the biggest frauds and the negative reviews seem more in line with my own experiences of being a buyer here. I was told that my watch was authentic and genuine. Had the watch opened only to discover the parts used inside the watch were not genuine at all and not worth what I paid for it. I also had a friend that had a negative experience trying to sell them gold and silver - they will tell you it's not worth what it really is to try and undercut you. Completely dishonest people.

**UPDATE** The owner shows his true colors in his response to my review as he clearly is either making up some story or confusing me with someone else. I hope he does "report" whoever and whatever he's referring to but the real fakes are what he's selling people and he should be the one reported.

After years of having my ring stuck on my finger, I stopped in this jewelry store. They spent time to help me get it off, wanting nothing in return. They just wanted to help me accomplish removing my ring. Good people, good place highly recommend it.

What a nice experience. I’ve purchase a watch for my wife and the company I bought from sent it with such smaller strap size. Went to Morningstar Jewelers & Pawnbrokers and they fix in such quick time and GREAT PRICE. Highly recommended this place! Definitely a 5 START business.

First time customer. Took in my gold ring family crest for repair. They gave me a proper estimate and did a wonderful job. The ring looks new ! I see why they have wonderful reviews.

I read some of the negative reviews and responses from the owner saying they a family business and operated for 57 years but that has absolutely nothing to do with how rude and unprofessional these people are! I brought in a 18k solid gold bracelet to sell and besides the extremely rude attitude from the owners I also received insulting offer of 50% less than what the scrap price was. I took it then to jewelry exchange place in Aventura and received $750 more for it than what these people in morning star offered me which was 80% of scrap value cost. AVOID these people and their so called 57 year business experience. I simply want to warn those who have not much experience in jewelry like myself yet that doesn t give anybody the right to fool and take advantage of me. These people are by far the worst to deal with in my opinion and from my personal experience! BEWARE BUYERS AND SELLERS!!!

Please avoid this place at all cost this business swaps diamonds out of rings. They took my grandmother s ring and my mother s ring and told us they were going to clean it and they switch the diamonds out. We know this because we had them appraised prior and after by the same appraiser, and the diamonds were completely different with more inclusions These people should be in prison

After reading the reviews we walked in for a jewelry service. We were greeted warmly and respectfully. Matt was super helpful. He talked with us about our pieces to ensure they were handled with care, even giving some home care recommendations for our cremation piece. Came here to buy an engagement ring . Was greeted and helped immediately. Found a beautiful ring that my fiance cant stop talking about..so much that she literally reminds me every single day about how much she loves her ring lol. I went to the storage to have some links removed from my watchband. The staff was extremely courteous upon my entrance and professional. The store was clean, and the best part is upon removal of the links of my watch. Matt said I am not going to charge you have a wonderful day. Omg where do I begin. I ve been coming here for years. Morningstar is the only place that was able to fix my wedding ring after I lost a diamond. They came to my rescue again for sizing my chain and a bracelet in time for an important event. I truly appreciate their service. Customer service is top tier. You won t regret coming here. I have been going here for a couple years now. They have a great selection of jewelry and have resized and cleaned my jewelry a few times. I also woke up yesterday with a swollen finger and couldnt get my ring off. I called them immediately and they told me to come over. I went over there and they able to cut the ring off with no problems and it was absolutely free. Matt assured me he could fix my ring, resize it and clean it. I am so happy with there customer service and Im so happy they were able to fix my ring. They are the best.

A friend of mine referred me to Morningstar. I was afraid that it was a dingy pawn shop like one would see around as they drive. She assured me that was not the case and that they helped her numerous times. She was right. I found Morningstar to be a fine, well respected business. The moment I walked in there, I was treated with the utmost respect. The men and women working there are just superb. True professionals. They made me feel comfortable. They are great human beings who understand that people can fall into hard times and in need of help. As a mom, the unexpected do often arise and without fail, Morningstar has always been there to help. For that, they will forever be in my prayers. As for Caroline, there are no words grand enough to describe her. A lot of warmth comes from her as she greets you. Oscar took care of us in our earlier years; now Vadim is our go-to. Actually the entire staff has been and continues to be very helpful, courteous, professional. This place is amazing, well organized, clean and the people treat you nicely. Their sale people really hear your concerns. I was attended by Vadim who talked to me honestly, and not like most of the sale attendants, he didn t want to take advantage of me as a customer, he was sincere and gave me different options to solve my problem. Eric was extremely helpful today and took his time with us. We got a ring from someone out of state and it turns out it was not a real diamond. As frustrating as that is, we appreciated his assistance in helping us determine that it was a lab grown diamond. I absolutely recommend this store. They are honest people and have been in the business for more than 60 years.. that says something about them! Thank you to Eric and the two ladies that were there behind the counter! Will be back there to purchase jewelery in the future!!

This review was long overdue, but I was happy that Vadim helped my mom and I when we came in for my birthday present back in April. We left a jewelry store prior to arrival and didn t really feel comfortable, but then we found this place and we felt like queens! Vadim made sure to take his time with us to decide on the right ring for my 24th birthday. All 3 of us were pleased when we came to our final decision, I definitely will never forget this wonderful care & experience. I m hoping to come by in the near future to be assisted by Vadim again!

I just moved to the areas a day now and Ken of my chain clasp broke so when to the jewelry store to get it fix the guy told me I could get it back in 3 days or so then he look on it and said one sec then he came back 5 mins after and fixed and cleaned my chain I asked him how much ,he said hmmm it s free I won t charge u I was very astonished he was very nice also they have some dope Jewerly in there I m deff gonna come back and buy some I highly recommend this place

I was in need of a minor watch repair the day before I started my vacation. Several friends recommended Morning star. Despite the fact that a couple of customers were being helped when I arrived, I was immediately greeted with welcoming Hello s. In a matter of moments a friendly gentleman asked how he could be of help. I briefly explained the issue and he went to repair my watch. It only took a few minutes, but during that time I had a chance to look around at some of the merchandise and I was totally impressed. Top end Jewelry at reasonable prices filled the many display cases. This is clearly a respectable and professional Enterprise. I must admit I was a little apprehensive going to a pawnshop, but this was unlike any that I have been to in the past. As I said my repair was minor, (I couldn t adjust my watch band, I broke to pin) I wasn t charged at all for the service. I was totally blown away and assured them they just got their self a new customer. I will most certainly return after my vacation for my jewelry needs. Thanks again MorningStar

Very junk I went there over $7,000 with the jewelry and he was all for me $800 in pawn I went to another pawn shop and I got $4000 in pawn for almost 2 carat diamond ring they was giving me $75 in VvS quality Stone diamond wheres this place to be highway robbery

Great service! Ive lived in the neighborhood a couple years. Always thought it was out of range, what with the opulent display & very tight security (for sure!). Well, we decided to walk in and look at rings. We got exactly what we wanted, on the budget we had set. Vadim Hamilton was super helpful and patient. Contacted Morningstar because I found an item they were selling on eBay and I was local. Matt was extremely responsive, so I came into the store a day or two later to look at the item. I was extremely pleased with the service from Matt as well as Eric. Customer Service and Communication seem to be a lost art these days, but not here. Their customer service got the deal done. I would highly recommend them to anyone. This is an established business with decades of history. You don t maintain a business and thrive since 1958 without treating customers right. I ll be back for sure.

My husband and I walked by this jewelry store named Morningstar s. It reminded us of the same store where we live in NY. We went in and omg the customer service that Vadim greeted us with once we walked through the door was beyond what you normally receive walking into a jewelry store. Morningstar s jewelers are the best! I went in one day to get some jewelry appraised and Vadim ( Hamilton) couldn t have been more helpful. Even knowing he wasn t going to make a sale, he spent time and answered all my questions. I said then and there that this was my shop and Vadim was my guy. Fast forward a couple of months I was ready for a new gold necklace. Vadim knew who I was when I walked in the store and he didn t disappoint this time either. He help me find EXACTLY what I was looking for and the price was better than any other stores or internet! I normally don t write reviews but I definitely felt compelled to write this one. Terrible experience. I brought in vintage watches that I know are worth a lot of money, and a vintage estate ring that I know is worth over $3500 because I had it appraised. I wanted to get my watch fixed so I could sell it. The oldest man who is there, told me that everything was junk and didn t even want to give me his time. I sold the ring at another pawn shop for $600 and the watch will be repaired and fetch $3500 on EBay. They treat you like garbage there. Don t bother

Hello. There is a lot in store, so many beautiful items that I want all of it. I don t leave reviews but they seem to be revamping their business- I usually shop via their eBay store. I recently went in because I heard they are giving a diamond ring away for Valentine s Day - just have to guess how many hersey kisses there are in the jar. Overall employees are attentive and if you give your email they are sending pretty good deals making a lot of amazing stuff a steal! I recommend you checking out this store if your in the area, otherwise shop their eBay store- I ve been doing it for years.

The prices are a bit high but staff is willing to negotiate. I personally love dealing with Vadim, he s great and is very knowledgeable. I love their collection of items, which you can t find at retail (lots of unique jewelery for both women and men). I would recommend stopping in before heading to a retail store.

Horrible customer service. My 1 year old daughters earring broke after 2 week. Oscar said my DAUGHTERS hair probably snatched the STONE off the mount. First off she has no hair and you have never seen my daughter. He was so quick to make a judgement and blame that she damaged it but cant seem to agree that the stone mount could have been defective. The other earing stone is still in its mount. Will never shop here again.

Morningstars has been around for a long time and I would say that whether youre buying or selling something its an okay place to look. They have a lot of inventory. If youre looking to sell expect typical pawn shop rates. My general impression is that it is okay, youre not going to really get a super bargain here but the price will be not probably so much more than you might pay somewhere else and if you trade something in or sell it as with most places will give you Pennies on the dollar. It is conveniently located, and its in a safe area. Theres always a police officer in the store.

I see a lot of good reviews, and some bad ones. I just bought a diamond engagement ring from Morningstars (that my fiancee absolutely loved!) and my whole experience was EXCEPTIONAL! I had been to several Jewelers in the area, and Morningstars had the best deal on the nicest platinum sparkling diamond ring. And, their on staff Jeweler was happy to size it - while I waited. Clean store, with professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff. No high pressure salespeople and definitely not pushy, they just let me browse and ask questions. I felt very comfortable in my decision and so glad I found Morningstars Jewelers on Hollywood Blvd. We are going back for our wedding bands. Thank you Lou for helping me make a great decision on the ring shell wear forever! I cannot say anything bad about this business. I am 100% Satisfied 5 Stars

Waiting for my necklace that I WON. .to arrive, I know these contests are ligit,because my sister won and received a beautiful broach. The contest i entered was asking who or what is your shining star and why..when I told them about my mom and how she is beating lung cancer yet still finds time to help me with stray and abandoned animals, they not only chose her to win the necklace,.but seem to really care about her well being and how she is doing. .pretty amazing people there..so far my ,experience with them has been so amazing they are friendly,fast, and more importantly honest!..
