This Vystar branch in Gainesville is amazing. The employees here are so professional and helpful. We initially stopped by this branch because we were having issues with our cards and needed new ones. Chelsea went out of her way to make sure our issue was resolved and had us new cards within minutes. Exceptional service. So if you are looking for a local bank with great service I would definitely recommend this branch and Chelsea. They will make sure you are taken care of.

When I moved to Florida 3 years ago, Vystar Credit Union was recommended by numerous individuals. Well, I too am riding this train!! The customer service specifically at the 43rd street branch in Gainesville is top notch 100% of the time!! From the smiling faces greeting you as you walk in or at the drive-thru screen, they are always efficient and helpful! What I love most about my daily banking experience is when they send those all natural little peanut butter treats through the tube for my 3 big dogs you can t miss in the back seat! It s a win for everyone! Until the other day, Chelsea took it upon herself in offering to help assist me in consolidating my high interest rated credit cards, lower the APR% on my mortgage loan, even got my approved for an auto loan on my new car!! I wouldn t go anywhere else!

I have been a customer since 2021. I have always had great service at the desk. This month I was shopping for a consumer loan and they delivered even higher than my expectations. Adrian Lopez made sure I got a loan customized to my needs. I had to drive to Georgia to by a car so I picked up the funds at the Swanee branch where Jodi and Artrell were awesome and made sure I got what I came for. This bank kicked me out for wanting my money. Why? The manager last name Hines, bullied me out of the Bank. I have to move banks due to a bad attitude. I had a fraud charge and one person was kind enough to reverse the charges. I went to a different gas station and put in 48.00 purposely and the 50.00 fraud was again taken out. I didnt put over 90 dollars worth of gas in a small vehicle. I was treated extremely rudely and when I called the Jacksonville office, they told me the wrong paperwork was done in the first place. It was FRAUD and Vystar bullied me for FRAUD. This bank needs to fire the woman who yelled out call 911 on an elderly woman with a cane.

This review is for a young man at this branch named Adrian. I had a few issues with my account and my card and when I called the number on my card I was transferred to Adrian and he was very understanding, and sympathetic to what I had going on. He even know at the time, the branch was a little short on help, he made an attempt to rectify my situation and he did just that. He went above and beyond for me as Im sure he does for all the other customers that come in. Ive been banking with Vystar for over 6 - 7 years and I have never had a problem with my account. But me and my fiancé had a very serious issue last year that set us back and long story short I needed help navigating through the process to get keep my account in good standings, and Adrian was a big help the last couple of weeks. So again thank you Adrian and Vystar for taking care of a valued client and I hope this young man gets the recognition he deserves!!

This branch is superb. Its located in a really convenient area and the inside is also visually appealing. I believe the intention of the staff is to provide a no hassle, low stress, lets get it done experience - they do it. Chelsea G. was extremely helpful on some docs and a credit card issue on my last visit. I had to call later to clarify something, I left a VM asking for her. Chelsea called me back. Ok. Woah. Unusual. And rare. And it was great that she did and not someone who didnt know what the situation entailed. That would have been a hassle. This experience was not. Thank you Chelsea! 5 stars

My husband and I would like to thank Taneisha J and April P for their amazing performance and support while we visited the VyStar branch on 43rd st today! Communication is the key and these two lovely ladies wore smiles on their faces and politely answered any questions. Each and every visit is a great experience. Tanisha Jamerson took the extra step to verify information on my account that led me to preventing further fraud on my Debit Card. Her perceptiveness surely saved me alot more money and stress with this fraud scam. Most appreciative of her foresight and instinct to protect my information especially when I do not reside in Gainesville.

VyStar has shown me what unethical behavior and incompetent behavior look like up close and personal. And if it were a company dealing with something other than my money, I might not be so aggravated about this experience. They conviently checked a box on a loan I took out to add in disability protection coverage that I did not ask for. I have been fighting with them since Oct. 17th to get this removed. They initially had me sign the wrong paperwork. Their corporate office notifies them of this and they never call me to inform me. I only find out when I call them for about the 4th time. On 11/29 they give me a credit, not to my account but to the loan. Basically they are just forcing me to make extra payments. VyStar you dont get to decide what people do with their money. But they assure me all is taken care of 11/29 and the rep states, you shouldnt get be charged any further for that coverage. Because of his use of the word shouldnt, I specifically ask, I shouldnt be or I wont be? I asked that for a reason, because this company has proven to be real relaxed in properly handling business. Sure enough, I just logged in to check my account, and low and behold, they are charging me the same incorrect payment amount again. I know theyll try to do a credit as a loan payment again, however no, that is NOT acceptable. VyStar does not get to keep overcharging me and then deciding how they want to give it back. Clearly I need to speak with someone beyond their corporate office because even they have not followed through properly. But the original issue escalated at this 43rd St location with the wrong form and the lack of follow up once their Corporate office told them they had me sign the wrong form. Potential customers beware. The VyStar I signed up with years ago and this current VyStar, night and day. They have gone way downhill. Save yourself some time and headache. I will again have to call them tomorrow and waste yet another hour or so of my time. This is NOT acceptable customer service. I suspect my experience does not exist in a vacuum. Check your loan apps, make sure they did not sneak an added cost in on you.

I have had the most professional and courteous banking experience with Mr. Che Reed. I have banked with Vystar for years and I hope that management realizes the he is very valuable asset to their business and my hopes are that one day I will walk into a branch and see that Mr. Reed is the branch manager.

My S/O and I recently married and wanted to start the process of merging our finances. Friends of ours recommended VyStar and we are very glad they did. We were able to accomplish everything we wanted in one visit. We worked with Che Reed at this location and he was absolutely wonderful. He was able to answer all our questions, help us merge our various accounts, caught errors we didnt even notice, and managed to do it all in a timely manner. Mr. Reed was incredibly personable and professional and deserving of a raise for his good work.

I received a phone call from Vystar yesterday stating a potential fraud charge (which it was) and was informed to come into a branch immediately. I went to the closest branch and the teller who assisted me was rude, was not able to answer my questions, and directed me to call the fraud department back, of which she could not provide a phone number to. I will never go to that branch again and went to the one on 34th Street who were amazing and helpful!

I want to thank Che Reed at the Gainesville Branch on 43rd street, he was the most professional, patient and knowledgeable specialist Ive spoken with in a long time, just so you know I have told family and friends to definitely reach out to you for their banking needs. During this time with all the system issues that the credit union is dealing with and you are able to keep a cool attitude and be of help to your customers is Awesome and Vystar you all should be proud to have Che Reed on your team.... Listen mr c reed (so sorry i can t spell his 1st name correctly) but he definitely was a breath of fresh air! After having so many problems and ready to leave VyStar he saved the day! Employees like him are needed! People who go over and beyond are rarely appreciated! Appreciate him! Cherish him! Give the man a raise and a week off or something because he deserves it! I think his name is chay or chase he said so don t give the wrong person praise. He works at this location but was helping the call center out today and I m glad!

I ve been with VyStar for almost 10 years. I was so excited to do my first auto loan with them and made sure I understood their policies before going to apply (called twice and went into the branch once). I go in today and they tell me despite a great credit score and an offer letter to a new position that pays significantly more, there s nothing they can do to approve it, despite being told three times that it could be. I will now be closing my account upon moving out of Florida. I was excited to keep it for this loan and because they have been so good for the last several years, but seems pointless now.

Needed help by phone for a family members account. Reached one person who transferred me cold to another person who sounded surprised to be getting a call, asked to put me on hold after a few minutes of talking and then we were disconnected but this person did not call me back. ***Then I called anew and reach Taneisha J in Gainesville and she was wonderful! She listened well, was patient, answered my questions, was able to do what I needed done, taught me a technical thing. She was just what I expect when I call to request customer service. Taneisha was professional, knowledgeable. She sure made her supervisor look good. Thank you!

We are trying to get a loan on a car for my daughter. Loan is approved. Car is approved. But there were supposedly some documents error. Is been already a week and we still haven t got the loan. And I feel like they are dragging their feet to give us the loan. We currently have 3 loans and a previous one for cars with VyStar on a different branch. And never had any problems before. At this point I m about to tell my daughter to forget about getting that loan. And check a different route to get the car we want.

I was assisted by an excellent customer service representative by the name of Taneisha Jamerson, she was very patient with me regarding my accounts and she explained to me everything in detail as to what I never knew, she s very knowledgeable and knows her job very well. The bank itself is okay when it is open but if you ever have to use the ATM its the worst if I start ATM around. I can go to my other vystars and be able to do deposits and stuff easily the one in this location never accepts any deposits that I try to do.

Che Reed was AMAZING! No one ever thinks they will be hacked, but it happened. Che resolved the issue for me the same day and with great conversation and huge smile. I love banking at Vystar and I have been telling everyone to go visit Che at the 43rd St Branch in Gainesville.
