If I’m allowed to mention and single out two names who I worked with the most I got thank Brittany Alfred and Brittany Vanover. It started out with a auto loan and escalated into a 1st mortgage. My auto loan went very smooth and quick. It’s nice to have a number going to a dealership. Brittany Alfred helped me with the auto loan and got me started on a 1st mortgage on my home and that lead to my Mortgage Processor Brittany Vanover. She walked me through every step and in my opinion didn’t miss a beat. My time was limited and she helped me push my mortgage faster than most. I’m very glad to be a member with Florida Credit Union. I recently partnered with Florida Credit Union's Brittany V and Meagan J to take some equity out of my home for some remodeling.

The whole experience was amazing. Since we live about 50 minutes from their nearest branch, everything was done online.

Brittany and Meagan guided me step by step through the whole process through email exchanges, and they both really brought a nice human touch to a transaction done entirely online.

If I emailed either of them a question, I got very detailed answers quickly delivered with a smile.

I could not have asked for a better relationship with a bank, and recommend them highly.

My experience with the Florida credit Union was simply amazing!
I applied for a home equity line of credit and right from the start Denise Johnson took care of all my needs and made sure I was well taking care of as a customer.
Pam Thacker was my next experience in the loan process and she was wonderful as well.
Each associate was very professional friendly and courteous. I understood that my needs were putting a new roof on the house and a new water heater in. Delighted with their service and for both individuals doing what's best for the customer. For this reason I will call my new roof Denise and my new water heater Pam. Thank you both as you made a difference for us! 🤗♥️

From the time Claudette Roth, Contact Center Rep, answered my call, I knew I was in good hands. She was knowledgeable, professional and courteous, not to mention delightfully funny, and handled my concern with confident efficiency. What a great ambassador for the Florida Credit Union!

I have been working with Claudette for more than a couple of month now, resolving an loan issue. She has been very instrumental in assuring that I understood why the insurance was being placed on our loan and explaining how I could get the issue fixed. She has more than pleasant and patient. Based off of what she told me I was able to get the issue resolved. I followed up today to make sure we were in good standing and she answered with a prompt and thorough email. Very Helpful !

Florida credit Union has to be the best financial institution we have ever encountered… They have worked with us to rebuild our credit and give us numerous of opportunities to keep our financial stability. Just recently, my husband and I contacted Florida credit Union to request loan opportunities, we were connected with an agent named Shantavia Anderson. She immediately initiated our request, she professionally and compassionately assisted us. She effectively communicated all instructions we needed to complete and walk us through the steps of uploading documents without hesitation. We are very pleased and grateful with the outcome. Not to mention fact that everything was processed with one day.

I have had the pleasure of working with Brittany Vanover on a much needed HELOC loan, for myself and my family. She made the whole process a breeze as the processor on our loan! There was no question she couldnt answer, and she was very professional and understanding of every obstacle that came our way. There were 2 hurricanes in the middle of the process and she made the whole experience stress free and easy! She kept us well informed and was there every step of the way. The best over the phone service ive had in a while !! TJ was VERY helpful in every way possible. I had a car loan for a couple of years and decided to upgrade to a new car! After making $500 payment on the old car at 6+ % Florida Credit Union financed the new car at 12%! I am a disabled Veteran and on fixed income! As soon as I can I will be refinancing this car loan with another lender and closing my accounts! Yeah Im out of the zones, areas that the branches cover so I dont go to any branches due to travel distance! I believe it is a disgrace to Veterans that use FLORIDA CREDIT UNION and are unfairly abused by financial institutions that have power or control over us! Shame on you!

My wife and I were buying a new vehicle, I wanted to see what the rates were going for at this time and Thomas Lofton gave me a call back after leaving a message with the automated system. I received so much more than just a quote on rates. Thomas helped me look at all options, helped me look for the vehicle I was searching for, sent me Carfax on multiple vehicles, and even helped me with numbers on my trade in. I recently made my second auto purchase through Florida Credit Union and while not living in the state at the time, I am a member which allows me to continue to bank and acquire financing through the institution. For many years I have been very disappointed with the attitude and impersonal customer service at the Starke FCU branch. I have filled out several surveys stating exactly how I felt, with no change. Big problem is getting someone to answer the phone; at times I have put my phone on speaker and held for hours. I have wanted to to change to Vystar, they answer the phone, but my wife did not agree because of the hassle. But I talked to Claudette Roth and she was so friendly and helped me so much that my faith has been restored in FCU. I have her extension now and it is comforting to know I can contact FCU and get good customer service. Thank you Claudette Roth.

I requested a letter stating my car loan was refinanced by another lender several weeks ago so i could get the warranty and gap insurance refunded to me. That hasnt happened and Im a little upset. The car dealership has also been inefficient for the return of funds. I talked to a couple people who were helpful in setting up my online account, so that was a bright side in this. Lynn Lewis

Normally, I absolutely love Florida Credit Union, yet this time I have been trying to call them and just get placed on hold forever, and ever, and ever, ever ever and ever you get the jist. No one has that kind of time to just sit and wait for hours literally. Their hours say they re open till 5:00 and yet I get no answer, no help, nothing. I ve even tried pushing different numbers to see if I get a different response but it doesn t help.

I have been a member of FLCU since 2009. And the service and experience has ALWAYS been wonderful for me. But recently, I was blessed to have a loan rep by the name of Thomas TJ Lofton, who went ABOVE and BEYOND for me. He took his ABSOLUTE time and patience with me. Digging deep into why I got turned down 3 months ago (by a rep not taking the time to dig deeper) and got me approved for 3 different things within a 2 week span. 2 of which I was not planning to receive, as I was ECSTATIC and GRATEFUL with the first approval. He has been VERY thorough and has stayed in contact with me throughout my entire process. Some people frown upon credit unions, feeling as if they can not provide BIG BANK service and quality, but it is the TOTAL OPPOSITE. Credit unions have BETTER rates and BETTER service. Words can not express how GRATEFUL and THANKFUL I am that our paths crossed. You can ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE that if and when I need anything else, TJ will be my go-to for all of my loan needs. I recently received a scholarship from FCU for my upcoming Fall semester at the University of Florida. I wouldnt have known this scholarship even existed without choosing to bank with FCU and receiving an email from them notifying me of the opportunity. I am deeply grateful to FCU for offering me this scholarship as this will greatly assist me financially this year. I have also had great customer service experiences in the Gainesville branch as well as over the phone. This is what I look for in a business, they follow up on their word and actually act in the manner they portray and market themselves. If a business claims to assist and give back to their community this is a perfect example of doing something which actually benefits members of the community. This was my first time financing a car, and I must say TJ was extremely helpful from start to finish. Not only did he encourage me to apply for an auto loan but he also took it a step further, and gave me recommendations on car lots. TJ also took the time to give me facts/ reports on prospective cars before I drove to go look at them. I can not stress enough how professional and reliable TJ was through out the entire car shopping/ buying process. In the end I brought a lovely Chevy Malibu, and added this experience to my list of Thanks to give on Thanksgiving. Thank you very much TJ!

I can t say enough about the assistance I received today when I called FLCU. The customer rep, Juliana Gonzalez went above and beyond to help me with my questions. She was patient, friendly and very knowledgeable. I never felt rushed and her step by step instructions were easy to follow. FLCU should be very proud to have Juliana as a part of their team!

I wanted to comment on one of your telephone customer service representatives Juliana, who recently assisted me with a problem. I had the good fortune to connect with her on my call, with Juliana being both very knowledgeable and pleasant. Once I explained my problem, Juliana took the initiative and made my problem her own, in taking responsibility for finding the best solution. In speaking with her, she is obviously very bright, with an active and problem-solving mind. Her attention to detail, and desire to truly help the customer were exemplary. With employees such as Juliana, Florida Credit Union should be proud. I am very appreciative that you have employees such as Juliana.

As a first time homebuyer, We called not knowing if we can even get a home loan and thought the process would be stressful. But Elena and Robert made the process easy and a learning experience. Ive only been with Florida Credit union for about 2 years now but theyve been nothing but kind to me. Alexis Dallas at the branch at 1615 nw 80th blvd in Gainesville has excellent customer service skills and is extremely knowledgeable about all of their products. The rep: James or Calvin at the corporate office was extremely rude over the phone. I called over to get a copy of the title, of which FLCU is the lien-holder. They tried to get me to go over to the dmv for something they should be handling. He then shouts at me over the phone after I called that information out and then while in the middle of speaking with him, put me on hold with the loud music playing. I started speaking with my grandmother who was on the third line about the unprofessionalism that was just displayed and he turns the music up louder. We will be moving our loan to a new bank.

I must take a moment out to speak about my personal experiences with Kristen McCarter. 5 stars arent enough to describe the professional treatment you receive from this amazing person. Shes helped me with everything from starting a new account to helping with online and App banking. I dont see her often but when I do, I get the best service ever! Although she works in a fast paced work environment, she always makes time to service me with a smile. Id follow Ms. McCarter to any bank in Florida.

Leslie was the greatest help in buying our house! She was always quick in returning our calls and emails, answered all of our questions and if she didn t know the answer she was quick to find out, and was just such a pleasure to work with overall! The main reason I opened my account at FCU is because Employee Kristen Mccarter she helped me With every Question I had and was very detailed on everything I asked. When I opened my account there years ago the staff was helpful and the service was great. But over the past year the service has been terrible. I have called and been put on hold for 20 plus minutes, promised things but never materialized, misled, the ATM is often not in service and there is always a rotation of staff when wanting to consult with a loan officer. Not so personal like it used to be. The last issue I ll mention is the online banking site is subpar. Too bad, I m moving my account to a local hometown bank that appreciates my deposits and business.

I took a loan through them for my truck. And I couldn t be happier I did. They re always very kind and attentive. Not once have I come across a teller with this company who s rude or short-sided when it comes to banking. If you re pulling a loan, opening another account, or just getting started with banking, they are a must. They can, and will, fit your needs. Thanks, Big J s BBQ.

Their interest rates for home loans are ludicrous and when applying by phone for a home loan, expect to be giving your precious personal information to a THIRD PARTY company called Lender Services. They utilize this company to collect your data and forward it to FCU, even if you call during REGULAR business hours. They do not warn you of this, you are completely unaware that this third party person you are speaking to is not a direct employees of FCU. I will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN for this and several other reasons.
