This company is fine until I talked to one of there loan officers. There is a loan officer named Jennifer Walden or Waldren. She was completely rude and obnoxious to me and my son. I was surprised how quick and simple the process at FLCU was for me. I get frustrated when customer service becomes difficult from the perspective of the one who works at a business that supplies customer service, but that was not the case with me at the 43rd St, Gainesville, FL, FLCU. I have been a member for many years now and other than the time our safe deposit box got stuck and we had to wait for it to get drilled out, the experience has been very positive.
Particularly fun is that recently my banker is Jesse Williams. My paternal grandmother was Jessie Williams and my grand-nephew is Jesse Williams! FLCU Jesse has done a beautiful job of serving my needs and I appreciate his kind manner and astute expertise. Keep up the good work!

This bank does not take care of locals. Im a cancer survivor and in the middle of losing my home and not being able to afford more chemo treatments after a year, I came to this office to open an account and see if I can borrow against myself...just to build credit and see if I can better these current bills. The young guy was a tool, no empathy, nor any care for my situation, like I asked for this. He made sure I was setup and was screwed into losing another $500 on fees! I spoke to several workers to clear their error but all dont care. Karma will come around for these money hoggers..

I am always greeted by a smile from her when present, she is extremely knowledgeable of her craft & is ready to help with my financial necessities. 2 days ago I came in confirmed TWICE with Florida Credit Union that if I open an account with them with a cashiers check from my other bank, would I have funds available the same day. They said yes just bring an account close out receipt and a way for them to contact my old bank to confirm availability of funds. Next day (5/15/24) they froze my account. Monica White is in charge of the fraud department. I have left multiple voice mails and called also today. She will not return my calls and explain to me why I cant have access to MY MONEY. This is bad business. And its obvious that one hand doesnt know what the other is doing. If they say they can do something for you, dont take their word for it. I even spoke with the branch manager and even he doesnt care that I will not be able to start my job this week that involved me having a license. Nor can I buy myself groceries or simple life necessities simply because these people are incompetent and unprofessional. People to look out for who say they will do something for you and then do another. Sean Peters - branch manager, Monica White - fraud division (who will not answer your calls or return them) . Taylor Peacock is the only one I dont hold accountable. Hes a good bank representative and only relayed to me what his incompetent superiors told him. I repeat, Taylor Peacock is a good dude. Keep in mind that this wasnt a hand written check. It was an official account close out cashiers check that could have EASILY been verified by simply calling my old bank. These people legally have stolen my money. You dont promise someone they can deposit a check for 34,000.00 dollars and that they will have instant access to it and then turn around and tell them it will basically be available when the bank feels like it. Ive never been so pissed off in my entire life. **** these people.

I just have to say Stacy Mosley is amazing!!! I was ready to refinance my car and she was ready to help me get the best rate I could. I had to come to the bank a little later than usual and once it hit time for them to close she made sure that I knew she was going to get my stuff done so I wouldn t need to come back. She made sure to answer all questions and even helped me save a little. I will definitely be going back to her if I need anything else.

This is the second FCU branch I ve ever visited. It was positive at first but end up being pretty bad. I Had to chase down the representative after service. I came in to see if I can apply for particular product but got talked into two products I did not even want to begin with. I emailed all the necessary paperwork and did not receive a call back that day. I Waited a while two weeks thinking that I should receive a Letter or a Call/Voicemail. I decided call the branch, HQ representative told me that they spoke to the individual they would contact me later that day. And did not hear from the individual for FOUR WEEKS about after I visit the This branch. After I call the HQ branch and they spoke to the branch manager for me to get an update. Before the HQ branch representative got off the phone. She told me only one other products only got applied for two. The individual called me within 30 minutes after the branch manager spoke them. They did apologize, but Four weeks really. FCU Branch in Strake, FL is much Better, The branch that originally open my account with. I m Disappointed and just Concerned over this unsatisfactory experience. It doesn t matter the outcome was for the service, but I wish they kept me informed and apply for the product originally came in the branch for.

I ve been a member of the FCU for almost three years now, my experience with them has been pretty good until this week. I had the pleasure of meeting Claudette R over the phone, she helped me with setting up my online banking. It took almost an hour to get through all the business I had. Quan Davis when you first enter the bank is always there to greet & make sure you are very well taken care. Everytime I come in he is whom I look forward to because his customer service is out of this world! He takes his time with you, he makes sure he gets his job done. I ve had one problem and Quan was there every step of the way trying to solve my problems even though it was out his hands. cannot call location directly. you are always funneled through an endless automated call center. when you finally get through, the clerks are incredibly unhelpful. if you get a fraudulent charge, they close your entire debit card instead of just blocking the charge. I will be switching.

I wish I had known how bad their customer service was before I obtained my HELOC. You can never get ahold of a live person and when you do, there is zero follow through. Two years in a row they have charged me for hazard insurance inspite of receiving confirmation no further action is due on my part. It took 5 months to get those funds back. Just an abominal company to deal with. Of course it was all puppies and rainbows in the application process. Cannot wait to be done with them.

What a dreadful credit union (I use that term loosely) that calls itself member owned? Ha, so much so that this member owned union won t even submit my transaction dispute claim to visa. Be on the lookout for my NCUA complaint and CFPB complaint too.

Denise Johnson was a huge help to my daughter and I. She spent some hours on a loan and stopped a scam. My daughter place a 200 hold for a car and when we went to do a loan for it and was approved the man was mad because of a cash voucher and he was trying to sell his father car without approval. He wont refund her $200.00. With Denise on too of things without saying it we have enough information to call the police and take action . I would recommend her to anyone. She cares about the customer!

Theyre friendly, and we have our auto loan through them, but trying to use their debit card is annoying beyond belief. Whenever we leave town, we have to call and tell someone at the bank or they flag our cards for suspicious activity. Occasionally this has lead to us not being able to access our money while on the road. As you can imagine, this is an unpleasant experience. Additionally, if you happen to use a service they deem as high risk for fraud, like Twitch for example, you will have to call and get the transaction approved every single time you want to run it through. This is a company policy that they have no ability to amend on individual accounts. Meaning, if you want to spend $5 on a Twitch subscription, youre going to have to call the bank, wait on hold for an indeterminate period, provide your bona fides over and unsecure line, and then explain to the person on the other end of the line that youd like to make a purchase. Does that sound insane to you? Because, it does to me. Anyway, this kind of paranoia about fraud is so rife at FCU, that I cant recommend them as a primary checking account. Their loan rates have been fair, and the people I actually talk to are nice, but the absolute lack of consideration for my time is annoying to the point of making me want to go somewhere else for my daily checking needs.

I have been going through so much negativity with this credit union they have taken a car I paid 15,000 for, they took me to court,they put a warrant out for my arrest for not appearing in court which I never received a notice in the mail,I was humiliated by 8 cops showing up to my place of residents.This bank dont want the the money they want to make my life miserable because I only owed them $4,000 you took my truck I paid 15,000 cash for.I have been trying to communicate with you all but you all are so evil and I pray you reap what you so.I have been dealing with this foolishness since 2008 enough is enough.I have loss so much during Covid .Yesterday I looked on my car insurance Florida Credit Union have put a Lien on my 2018 dodge journey and I didnt know that.I didnt know this bank is so hard up for money!Thats ok tho because youre not going to distract me this time.I pray for Florida Credit Union that God change their hearts, mind and soul in Jesus Name!

The drive through lady name Mrs.Joan took 40 minutes to take my transactio. I had to go inside while being 9 months pregnant and I was in pain, the gentleman on the inside took my transaction less than 5 minutes. Joan need to retire or find another job that suits her. She didn t know anything about her job.

My wife and I decided to purchase a boat so we turned to FLCU for the financing. Our loan officer for this transaction, Mr. Massin Cohen, proved to be the most patient, professional and efficient individual Ive conducted business with in years. Not only did he get my approval completed to funding once, but twice because I changed my mind. After several hurdles I raised he never once showed frustration or anger, just kept on going without complaint. In my line of business them traits are nonexistent and it was an absolute pleasure doing business with he and the 43rd Street team of FLCU. I look forward to doing business with him again in the future as well as referring him to friends and associates.

Stopped in urgently needing quarters to inflate a flat tire. I gave the teller a $10 bill and asked if I could exchange for a roll of quarters. She threw her hands up, gave the bill back, and asked Are you even a member with us? It was a very simple and reasonable request, and her response turned it into an embarrassing situation. Certainly will not be doing any more serious business here.

Went in to cash my payroll & was told quite rudely that I had to have a mask.. I informed her that I had COPD and could not wear a mask.. which does violate my HIPAA protection! If I am accosted again I will take a legal stand on this!!! I dont need to know where other branches are Im well familiar with other branches... Thats your response to me really...My response to you is I opened an account at Wells Fargo today.. and took everything I had out of your bank.

I ve been locked out of my account online for over a month. I ve requested calls back, I ve sat on hold for over 10 hours total and never received any calls. I get better service at McDonald s.

The staff are courteous and very helpful. They didnt seem frustrated are bothered by my request. I met with, Derrick Hardin, he was very professional, even though we had casual conversation about life. I was pleased with his mannerism and the way he explained what he could do to assist me. Great service!

Worst banking app ever created. I ve been with this bank for a looong time so I may try to stick it out because I love the mom and pop friendly feels (only reason I generously gave 3 stars) but I despise dysfunction when it comes to banking technology. I also have accounts at BofA and CampusUSA and love their apps- zero issues. The app at FLCU is how I do most of my banking and sadly I have more than 10 screen shots of errors and fail messages. It never works when I need it in a pinch. Not to mention the weak capabilities the app offers. There s things I still have to sign on to a desktop to do- lame. Whoever runs the IT department should delete the exhisting app and start fresh. And I d love to know who I can fwd all these screen shots to? Its not working FLCU! I have an iphone Xs and great service so there should be no issues.

Amazing experience this week. Ashley Wood helped me get a credit card and refinance my car. Was told, couple months ago no, by a worker at another location. Outstanding payment history. Think he did not want to bother with me. Ashley has made huge impact in my life. The little things mean most to me. She took a huge load off my shoulders. I highly recommend her. She is good and knows her stuff. Its so very nice to be given a chance. Thanks for all your help Ashley. I wont forget.

Worst bank ever! I opened a bank account, refinanced both of my vehicles with them, everything seemed good. I signed up for auto draft for my loans. I cant explain how bad they screwed this up. For some reason it was putting a hold on my savings for the loans. Took forever to get it fixed. And to top it all off, they reported to the credit bureau that I was late. Now they day I have had poor performance with them and wont approve me for another loan.

I like the services at this location such as ATM, drive thru, coin machine and safe deposit boxes. The tellers and customer service folks are always helpful and friendly.

My account is always in negative, even after making deposit. Customers agent never help with any requests. I feel like they have a fishy business.

I bought a new truck Dec 2015, payment supposed to come out of checking account monthly. Counting today (Sept 28) this will be the 9th month in a row I have had to come to the bank for YOU to with drawn money from my account. I have talked to everyone there. I am Totally disgusted about this.

I went there today. Someone smoked (electronic cigaret or something) in the lobby, I told the manager, she was completely ignored me which made me decide to close my acct. there. In my opinion, manager failed to address simple situation, which is sad :-(

overall, FCU is like any other banking institution. But the branch on 13 street in Gnv, is a different animal. Most of the customer service folks are not very pleasant to look at.Many of the employees at this branch seem to forget, if we take our money and put it somewhere else, this could impact their employment Very sad. The branch on 43rd is much nicer and the staff there is a lot more pleasant.
