This place robbed me.

The gold I sold to them definitely have a stamp that proofs to be 21k. But when I asked the guy he said they can stamped however they want when they are making these. ( so his Conclusion was the earrings and bangle I brought it are 14k and he gave me 1100.
Long story short. I took my necklace to a different store ( which is lake worth gold mine) they said it is 21k and offered me 3600.
It’s the same set. I was suspicious to sell it to the Delray place after they told me it’s not 21k.
so if I would’ve brought my gold to lake worth gold mine first. I wouldn’t have got scammed. .. and would have get triple the price at least.

I’m not sure how this place gets a 4.9 when they obviously trying to take advantage of me. ( by the way the bangle + earrings were heavier than my necklace. Which means I could’ve gotten 4000+ at the lake worth place instead of this shady place.

What a joke. They probably didn’t think that I still have a matching piece left. And other store was way honest and better.
1100 ( that day the gold was high and the earrings and bangle are heavier than the earrings) VS 3600 necklace that’s lighter and same gold )

So I do wanna say the guy was very polite and nice and understanding but offering close to 10% under spot is absurd he understood why I walked right out I will say he did his diligence in checking all my stuff proper. He even knew what I was saying as that coin shops or places like them will pay at least spot sometimes over he was a honest guy but just couldnt take the offer was way lowballed.

outstanding family owned store. Husband and wife who really know jewlery and also are very fair with the pricing when you want to sell your gold jewlery. Very honest. Very polite and take time with you so you know you are dealing with an honest location. I do recomend them. My brother in law brought in his wifes jewlery (she had passed aprox 5 years ago) and he walked out with over $13,000 . He used it to pay off the balance on his car.

They have a great quality of rings, earrings, pendants etc. I would recommend going here if you are selling gold/silver or looking for unique jewelry pieces. I found my beautiful engagement ring there. Also, they know I want a Sapphire pendant and are keeping an eye out for it. I love supporting small business and will definitely be back. I had a wonderful experience at this jeweler today. I have gone to jewelers previously to sell my jewelry and I always feel that they are never being honest with me regarding the value of my item, or they are somehow cheating me. These people were so kind and I just felt that they were honest and genuine people. They gave me the best price for my items and they were such a sweet and warm couple. I ve been meaning to sell my gold for several years, and finally decided to do it! I googled the best cash for gold shops in the Boca/Delray area and found Gold Reef. So glad I did! Jonty is so nice and professional, not to mention great at what he does. He went through each piece of my jewelry with a fine tooth comb and really took the time to explain what he was doing so that I would feel comfortable. He also has great people skills and I enjoyed my time in the shop. Very positive experience!!!!

I have gone to other places in the past looking to sell my diamond gold & silver pieces but never left feeling this was a place I would definitely use again. When it was that time again to sort through my jewelry to find pieces I could part with, I then had to decide where to go. I decided to take my time reviewing my options. I viewed Gold Reefs website along with many others and felt they were qualified to deal with the jewelry I was looking to sell. I was also impressed by the reviews. I took a chance and was extremely pleased with my experience. I worked with Jonty who could not have been more professional and honest. He was such a pleasure to deal with and very knowledgeable. He examined each piece one by one and as he did he would explain important facts about the piece. For me my search ended with Gold Reef Jewelers & Estate Buyers. From now on this will be the only place I trust to sell my precious pieces.

Edit: Shortly after having my engagement ring resized here, two diamonds fell out in the exact same spot on both sides of the band. I also upon closer inspection discovered ridge marks on the prongs around the center diamond. I asked the owner about this and he tried to tell me that the marks would have already been there. I knew that wasn t true but didn t know what to do. Finally after a few months I was able to bring the ring back to the original jewelers, which I couldn t do originally due to the coronavirus. The first day they reopened I went in and they took a look at it. They confirmed that the groove marks on the prongs would have been from the clamp when Gold Reef resized it, they also said they ve never seen diamonds pop out of this style ring before and that it was clearly due to being improperly resized. They took it for repairs for over a month and returned it in pristine beautiful condition. I really liked the people at Gold Reef but I can t in good conscience allow my positive review to stand because the work was simply not up to par. Original: Genuine, friendly, knowledgeable owners who will put 100% into making sure you re a happy customer.
