And like several of the other posts SUNCOAST CREDIT UNION has made everything HARDER. I deposited a $10,000 check from my insurance company to pay to “muck out” my house that is filled with water and mud. Suncoast credit Union put it on HOLD for a week, without telling me. I had to go in and STEPHANIE is rude, interrupts me then says “it was put on hold because you deposited on line” WHAT? then goes on to say that they won’t be able to process the future insurance checks unless I open a new account. WE HAVE LOST EVERYTHING. And those who haven’t act as if it didn’t happen at all. It is ridiculous, shameful, frustrating, that the rules are not set up to be helpful to the customer. They care only about themselves. I nearly “bounced” checks paying for things like pulling all of the wet walls, floors, furniture out of my house because Suncoast credit union held my money because of the way I deposited it without ever telling me that they weren’t ever going to release it unless I actually came into the branch. AWFUL. I will be telling the story for a long time.

Update: the branch manager contacted me & helped make the situation right. Extremely frustrated with your system & lack of support when notified by text of fraudulent changes on my acct. The system texted me 10/01 to call ph.#, I did & went through long/slow automated system to confirm ea pending transaction not made by me. Then I was prompted to call another # & no one picked up. Then I called after hours line & no answer either. 10/02 I call fraud line back to see why charges were taken from my account today!? The Rep. had me review each charge again to confirm not mine, then said have to go online & dispute all 7 charges before they will credit acct., then couldnt tell me where to go online to do it, put me on hold 4 times just to tell me to call member services to get directions on how to dispute charges. Ive searched entire App & cannot find any info. If system knows fraud occurred by texting me, has me call & confirm all fraud transactions, why then allow all charges to go through just to turn around to have me go through unknown process to dispute ea one!!!??? Today is 10/12, still no debit card in mail, no return call & no response online!!

Absolutely terrible experience trying to withdraw money from my account. A service rep Christopher kept me waiting 20 minutes to withdraw less than $2000. This is ridiculous. Absolutely no reason to keep customers waiting this long to withdraw their own money from their own account! Terrible customer service!!!

Worst bank for any type of customer service or just plain honesty. After going to multiple car dealers and being told to keep your Suncoast check! No one wants to do business with Suncoast because the car dealers say you make it impossible to get paid for the cars sold to Suncoast customers. Suncoast holds the dealers money for the cars, leaving them without the car or money!!!! The Dealers will not sell you the car when you tell them Suncoast will cut them a check!! Do yourself a favor. Save yourself a boat load of stress, lies, and aggravation, and DO BUSINESS WITH ANOTHER BANK!!!!! ANY OTHER BANK THAN SUNCOAST!!!!!

Waited 45 minutes today at the St Pete location trying to open an account without being able to see an account manager. Had to leave because there was no estimate on when I could be seen and I was already late and needing to return to work. I needed to come in as I had previously been unable to open an account online for some reason. Left and was able to easily open an account online at another credit union. Very displeased with my experience.

This is simply my observation without putting any emotion into it. It gets 1 star because the girl who closed out my account was friendly. Ive never in my life had a bank tell me that cash deposits are restricted for 6 months...WHAT? They gave absolutely no reason for it and I questioned more than 1 person. Im not into talking to someone live on a phone for everyone to listen while Im conducting business. You will wait for approximately 30 minutes to sit down with someone. I guess if you dont mind these things then you wont mind opening an account here. It wasnt my preference.

Cooperation between credit Union and Visa sucks. My card has been blocked twice in one month without any notice or response. Only get apologies from credit Union, but problem continues. Constant calls to credit union are forwarded to automated systems with Visa which end up in frustration.

I really like Suncoast Credit Union. They set the example of what a bank should be. Im currently having a rough time financially, and I have a few financial institutions that Im affiliated with, but Suncoast Credit Union is the only financial institution that wants to actually help me. Pretty disappointed with my experience with Gracie here. I went in to talk about what steps I needed to take to getting approved for an auto loan. I told her I had no intention of getting the loan, but just wanted some financial advice. Instead of helping me, she just went ahead and submitted an application. Something I could ve done online myself. She didn t answer any of my questions, and wasn t really much help at all. i m used to banks actually advising you, and I didn t get that here at all.

I started to explain, when the woman in the first office steps out, and begins speaking saying I just told you we cant do that here. She gets louder now saying, I told you this on the phone when you called. I said, excuse me, I never called, I just drove up here. So I dont know whom youre referring to but you never spoke to me. Have a blessed day mama, but I think I will change banks if this is how u do business & treat customers.. No one said anything else, so I walked out.

I have been a member with Suncoast Credit Union since 2013 and it was a night and day difference from the start from big name banks! No hidden fees, friendly staff and paying my loans are a breeze! Being able to use the ATMs as any Publix is super convenient!

I would love if for once the ATM worked after hours. Almost every single time I make the 25 min trek to this branch I have an issue with the ATM. It completely down, or not reading my card, or like the other night couldnt even deposit cash so then had to drive 30 plus mins to the St.Pete branch

I like suncoast they have a lot of options to help their customers, but the staff at this location are really rude and don t want to do their job or help their customers, def not visiting this location again.

I cannot even begin to describe how the quality of my life has improved because of Suncoast Credit Union. I unfortunately did not take my late fathers advice about my credit and finances. A friend referred 8 months ago. My credit had gone up, my financial independence has increased. They are real people with a business in our community. Theres not one employee thats not made welcomed. Makes a big difference in a persons life whe n are facing their past mistakes, and others want to help when they choose to help themselves. Thanks Suncoast.

I am ashamed to have my business customers know I bank with such an unprofessional and confused bank. Every person you talk to will give you different answers and the staff they do have has been short staffed at every location. Even to just use in such a limited capacity as to receive wire transfers I am now forced to change banks. Do yourself a favor and dont bother getting involved with Suncoast.

I love Suncoast Credit Union. They have a very friendly staff. I wasnt sure about using the Interactive Teller Machines at first, however, you still get the personal touch without the waste of unneeded employees standing around. I use them for all my banking needs.

First off, I find it funny that a CAR DEALERSHIP has the ability to take my information to open a bank account when I got the loan. Then, with the car dealership giving wrong advice on being able to pay my auto loan easily with you guys I made a call to Suncoast. I get told that my account was negative $5 and that I should have funded it AT THE CAR DEALERSHIP! The man on the phone told me I could only set up a bank to bank transfer since I only have a savings and that I won t get a bank card and or have ability to do mobile deposits without a checking.. SO I do the bank to bank transfer which required me have my bank send two small transactions which hit and then got pulled out.. GUESS WHAT! Overdraft fee because of it!! I called back and your team members have the never to tell me I shouldn t have opened it at the car dealership and should have gone in to the local branch to open my account and get the right advice. Then he told me it was my fault for the overdraft fee but he would do me a one time courtesy and refund it. Few months later my member ID went away on my online app. I called to get it set up again since your online banking didn t have a feature to reset it like EVERY OTHER BANK DOES. What really pisses me off is that now I have to wait for it to come in the mail and or stop in to a local branch to get this information. Not very convenient at all. I laugh at all this especially when other larger banks are in the media, yet this bank allows car dealerships to take your banks account applications and then your team members open accounts without even meeting the client. Doesn t sound like a very safe bank to me or a convenient one either let s just say the discount on the loan wasn t as convenient and will probably be taking this to USAA which I should have done in the first place.

Waited for over 30 minutes to Cash 1 check the teller asked me if I would like a copy of the check on the receipt did not get it. Very poor customer service I rate this 1 * as if they deserved it

Andrea is awesome, stayed late to help out with an auto loan and reached out to the loan people to help get us an answer asap- I love the employees here, theyre awesome and the best loan/credit card aprs pretty much in the state (dependant on your credit score, of course). Thanks guys!

I needed a newer vehicle. Since I have paid All my bills on time with cash and had put myself into a ZERO credit score throuout the years, Suncoast treated me with respect and kindness... And a fair interest rate even with my Ghost FICO score. I am so very Grateful to Suncoast & Ms. Valerie. I walked out in Happy tears as well as a Check for the dealer of MY choice. Love my New Truck and looking forward to doing business with Suncoast in the future!

I go to credit union to make my monthly car payment and have had a great experience with nothing but positive feedback. However, I went in tlday to make my payment and seen a man and he made me feel like my forms of ID werent accreditable. Asking me to verify my address and initial extra initials for processing my car payment. Ive never had this experience before. He made me feel disrespected like i was in there trying to do something wrong when I was actually making a payment.. The same payment I make every month. Left a very bad taste in my mouth. Was thinking of banking with them, totally changed my mind about that.

Been banking here for decades, love the credit union. However, it was dead inside this branch except for 1 customer, and there were lots of tellers at their station but I still stood there for 10 minutes before I got called to a window. The transaction itself went smooth and the teller I had was courteous.
