We love Secrete Fine Jewelry! When my husband and I were preparing to get engaged, we had an heirloom diamond that we wanted to reset with side stones. We were drawn to Secrete because of their expertise in resetting family jewelry, and we stayed because they were the only jeweler we talked to in DC that could provide us confidence about the provenance of the new diamonds we would be adding. Since then, we have purchased both of our wedding bands and our wedding gifts to each other at Secrete. Adele provided expert guidance to us every step of the way, and the service at Secrete has been second to none - stopping by the store to make selections and pick things up was one of the highlights of our wedding planning process. It was a huge bonus that they are a local, family business. We have been recommending them to everyone, and we Secrete will continue to be our go-to for years to come.

I got two watches from a Bolivian street market in 2020, so they aren’t really expensive but they are special to me because I bought them on an international trip. Anyway, I took these watches in Secrète fine jewelry in DuPont circle because the batteries were out and the links needed adjusting to my wrist. I was greeted warmly and my issues were addressed timely by Ginevra. I thought I needed links removed, but actually my watch has a band that allows it to be adjusted without removing links. She showed me how to do that free of charge. She asked if I was a “collector” and Im like no but I am interested in starting a collection. Ginerva gives me the run down of Hamilton Watches and I think I have a new favorite brand. They are affordable but expensive enough to feel like a big gift to yourself. I have myself a new jeweler. Five stars for Secrète fine jewelry.

After my 8 carat aqua marine ring with wide band was cut off my finger at the hospital, no jeweler could repair it iFinally, I took my ring to Adele at Secrete Fine Jewelry. She sized my ring finger and saw how the band could be mended perfectly. My beautiful ring is back on my finger. Without Adèle s expertise and gracious manner, i would not be wearing my ring today. DO NOT PATRONIZE. For simple work on your watch they charge whatever they think they can squeeze out of you. I paid $25 for a battery. A week later my wife paid $30 for a battery for a similar watch (probably the same battery). I needed a watch band in a hurry. All their bands for my watch were $50. Go somewhere, anywhere, else.

An option for older watches at or above retail on worn out pieces. Pros: Staff is very cool. Cons: They will try to quickly change batterys and straps in-house and will occasionally scratch your piece. Have it sent to the watchmaker. They did it on my 200$ laco, so no big deal. If you have a nice swiss antique do not accept have it sent to the watchmaker. Any service is around 30% too expensive however. Update: they then charged me for the polish on the scratch .....

I had the strap of my watch replaced and these people almost destroyed both sides where the pins attached the band to the watch. The work they did was inadequate, unprofessional. It was clearly done by someone who doesn t know what he is doing ! I would NOT trust this place with a watch!

This is a gem (no pun intended) of a store in DC and has become my go-to for any and all jewelry needs!! Every single person here is kind, attentive, and professional, and they have a wonderful collection of rings, earrings. necklaces and watches (among other things). Location is very convenient too, as they are right off the Dupont Metro stop. I went today to get my husbands wedding ring cleaned and bent earrings straightened. Ginevra patiently took the time to find out what metals were used in the jewelry and provided expert advice on how to care for them. She also made light repairs to the ring and earrings free of charge! The jewelry looks as good as new, thanks to her! Trust me, you will not be disappointed here.

We looooove Secrète! We ve already referred two friends who ve become customers for their own weddings. We worked with Adele, a gem. Cadia and everyone else are lovely too. So professional and kind. The opposite of pushy. We ve never felt rushed. She takes her time with us and totally delivered. So far, their master jewelers have: (1) refinished, secured, and replaced the tiniest sapphires on a vintage family engagement ring and we now have a lifetime warranty and are encouraged to bring it in every 6 months for free a sapphire fell out cuz it s so delicate and they replaced it for free; polished, checked, and refinished another heirloom ring; appraised several pieces; and executed Adele s beautiful design for our other engagement ring. Next up we will design our wedding bands. We are so happy and love going to Secrète!

I am admittedly new to owning watches etc, but this is the only place I go to when i need a repair. Super kind people. Ginevra is fantastic she and her coworkers have now fixed my defective orient hollow end links twice (make better spring bars pls orient). I should say it has broken on each side and they have fixed both (it was never their work that came undone). I dont expect it to break again on either side after their help. V fair with prices. Won t be going anywhere else anytime soon.

I met with the daughter of the owner to talk about selling an item. I asked for credentials from the jeweler who was to appraise for me. The daughter said she would get back to me with his information and she never did. I do not recommend this jewelry shop for an appraisal or to sell to. They wanted a week to appraise my item. To me, that was too long and made me think twice about using their services.

I bought my Hamilton watch from Adele at the DC location. I came in with no watch knowledge, having only bought watches like Michael kors, little to nothing outside of that. I was Blown away with how helpful and knowledgeable Adele was. She even helped me replace some batteries and watch bands on my other watches with a very fast turn around. I am obsessed with my new Hamilton watch and hardly wear any of the old ones. I didn t even plan on leaving with a new watch! Thank you Adele for being so helpful and personable! (Not recommend) I will not give any stars to this store if possible . My wife and I went there for wedding rings . We told the sales women we are looking for wedding ring. My wife liked one and asked if there is any certificate for the diamond. The sales doesn t give a good temper and strongly replied if we don t have a certificate we will be in prison! very much irritated and offensive. While didn t show up any related documents for the clarity or quality or origin of the diamond . The fact that they may just don t have one or just got the diamond from a random stone pot . Who knows . So I m writing down this to highly warn people ask for a certificate if you are really going to take a whole ton money out of your pocket. And I recommend you to go to a qualified place .

We came in one day and Jennifer helped show us some different options within our budget as we had never looked before. It s really hard to find a good trustworthy jeweler, but you ll find them here. I wanted a new setting for my wife s wedding ring but wasn t really sure exactly what I wanted. I went to see Mari and she was more then helpful. I can t say enough good things about her. I gave her a budget of what I was looking to spend and with in two days she game back with multiple options. Not only was she able to find me the perfect setting, but she also found way to add diamonds and stay in budget. Absolutely amazing service.

As I began looking for engagement and wedding rings I was referred to Secrète by a friend. Jennifer was our consultant. From beginning to the end we received quality, top notch professional service. Jennifer was very personable, asking us a lot of questions about our preferences while educating us on all the different options. Communication in person, over the phone, and even through email was clear and effective. Finally, the rings came out better than we expected. I love to support a family-run business but my experience was very mixed. Pros: very friendly service at the DC branch, gorgeous in-house jewelry, appraises & couriers items on short notice. Cons: mis-sized and mis-appraised an antique ring. I brought in a ring for resizing and an insurance appraisal and later found out the metal was mis-identified (as 14k when it s 18k) and the ring remained nearly a full size too loose. There may currently be communications issues between MD & DC branches, as my ring couldn t be located for a day & the customer behind me was there to pick up an item that also couldn t be located. I was told a new staff member at the MD location was confused. I hope they sort this out!

I recently bought a watch from Secrète Fine Jewelry. I was looking for a very particular Junghans watch and I came across Secrète Fine Jewelry through the watch manufacturers website. Through no fault of SFJ, after I bought the watch I discovered a slight issue. I brought it back to SFJ and a few days later, the problem was resolved. I would recommend this shop to others because of the way they handled the problem. They were tactful and quick. I don t think I would have had the same level of support if I had bought the watch online. The team at Secrète Fine Jewelry is great. I thought their communication was good throughout. They have good relationships with the watch manufacturer and they re knowledgeable. Jennifer was my main point of contact, and I would recommend her to anybody. I recommend this shop.

Amazing customer service. Secrete was able to help me with my Timex Weekender watch incredibly efficiently. When I was changing the battery, the case lid would not close. They were able to fix it in 5 min. So grateful for their help. They have amazing jewelry and watch selections and are a family run business.

Got an Everest strap fitted on my Tudor BB58 a while back. The watch was brand new and they left some scratches on my lugs while changing the strap. The whole point of taking it to the jeweler, is to get it done nicely.

Wonderful experience here at Secrète having a watch resized. The watch band was a little more complex, so I was asked to come back after 30-45 minutes. Grabbed some lunch and came back with a ready watch. Will definitely be back!

I went to Secrète for a resize of my silver engagement ring. All of the staff was very kind and friendly. This was my first time ever at a jewelry store as a customer. They had my ring back to me faster than expected and the resize was done beautifully. I will certainly be back in the future!

I have never left an online review for any website/restaurant/service in my entire life. Don t really believe in it. But I came in here about 3 weeks ago and had a broken band on my watch, looking to pay to get it fixed. The lady, Mari, took it and fixed it in about 4 minutes. Didn t charge a dime. Great place.

I was looking for a place that could resize a few watches I bought online. I came in on a Monday evening and left one of the watches there so they could remove a few links for me. I didn t catch the woman s name (gorgeous white hair) who helped me on Monday but she was lovely and we shared some sassy banter as we tried to figure out readjusting my other two watches. I came back on Tuesday afternoon to pick up my watch and get help readjusting the other two. Alex showed/taught me how to adjust my watches and made sure they fit. Alex was patient and extremely helpful. The people here are kind and lovely and I will be back to purchase jewelry after my first few commission checks.

We had an awesome experience designing our custom engagement ring with Secrète! This was our first experience buying fine jewelry and Mari was somehow able to translate a doodle on a post-it note into a perfect ring! Here are some conclusions from the whole experience: -Don t be intimidated by the location they had rings at a lot of price points and were really welcoming of the fact that we already had a family heirloom diamond -Ask a lot of questions! Mari was very helpful both when we were in the store and afterwards when I would send her questions by email. She guided us through the whole process, which was invaluable for such an important decision -Definitely prioritize an independent jeweler over a big box jeweler. Not only is the quality top notch, but you re also getting a level of service/responsiveness that just can t be replicated by the chain stores We are so happy with the final result that we ll be going back for our wedding bands. Couldn t recommend this store or Mari enough!

Ever since my now husband purchased my engagement ring in 2018, Secrete has become our go-to jewelry store for wedding bands, birthday and holiday gifts. The staff is wonderful - warm and welcoming. Highly recommend.

I went in to have some links removed from my watch. The folks here are so warm and welcoming, I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Service was quick, was in and out within 10 minutes. Getting all my watches adjusted here from now on!

Secrete has been my go to watch shop since Ive moved to DC. Their Dupont Circle stop is a block away from the metro station, super convenient. They have a great selection and great prices. Its the best customer service Ive experienced from any jewelry store. Each staff member has an extremely high level of knowledge and truly takes their time with each customer. Highly recommend this store for all your jewelry needs.

There are so few jewelry stores like this in the world let alone in DC. Every single time I go in, folks are so kind, warm and friendly and really listen to what I want and ask smart questions (shoutout to Mary, Alex, and another lovely woman who listened with so much empathy and compassion as I talked about being far away from my close family during the High Holidays this was two years ago, and I dont think she realized the profound impact her kindness had on me). The staff are personally invested in making sure I have the best experience at their store, and that Im able to get the most out of my jewelry and watches. This is my go to shop for jewelry repair and replacement (eg. when I need a new watch strap or a chain breaks).

Been in Secrete multiple times and always been treated extremely well, whether I m actively looking to purchase or not. I came in just before closing last weekend and they took links out of my watch bracelet for free in just a few minutes. Great business!

Secrets is my go to jewelry store. Over the last few years I have purchased jewelry from the Wildwood store in Bethesda. But also have had a couple of custom pieces made. Their jeweler makes beautiful pieces that I enjoy wearing and mean a great deal to me. I highly recommend Secrets for their beautiful selection of merchandise and their wonderful customer service.

My fiancée and I got our engagement/wedding rings at Secrète. I cannot speak highly enough of the work and the team. They really took the time to really walk us through our options, then hand made both of our rings. It took a few weeks, but it was DEFINITELY worth the wait. We were both blown away. The pieces they make are equal parts art and jewelry. You wont be disappointed. Wish I could give them a higher score.

I have visited this store previously to have my wristband replaced ,this time, noticed I had to change my battery, and to my Amazement ,she is very knowledgeable on about wrist watches and in my life time,I have never seen a lady works on a watch and getting done in less than 15 minutes ,she is truly a something to and a value to recon

I went here for the first time yesterday and came out extremely happy. Mary went above and beyond for me. I was getting a custom made engagement ring and she compares prices from me from different diamond sellers and found the cheapest route for me at no cost to the value of the diamond. I would recommend anyone to come here, especially if they are skeptical of jewelry vendors giving them unfair prices. Mary was as helpful as she was beautiful and I will be coming back.

I recently bought an engagement ring and was so nervous because I had no idea what I was doing. Kadya at Secrète fine jewelry made the process so easy and effortless. She was so responsive and knowledgeable about design, different cuts and clarity. I think I asked 1000 questions and she always took the time to explain and guide me through the process. My fiancée absolutely loves the ring and can t stop talking about it. Will definitely be a repeat customer for all my jewelry needs. Can t not recommend Secrète and Kadya enough.

Phenomenal service! Everyone is really knowledgeable, kind and helpful! Just a very great experience! The manager has helped me pick out not only a beautiful ring for my sister, but gorgeous ruby and gold earrings for my mother. Four years later theyre still telling me how much they love the gifts!

My toddler yanked a special necklace off of me, and I had it repaired here. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the repair took exactly as long as they said it would. The necklace looks like new, and they even made it stronger so it will be harder to yank off next time.

The folks are great to work with. I had 3 months to plan and purchase a custom engagement ring and they made the process really easy. Mari was more than helpful, provided excellent guidance, was knowledgable and reassuring. The end result was better than I could have hoped for, literally the perfect ring. They worked with my budget and by giving them a longer timeline they were able to find gem stones the enhanced the quality of the final product. They were as excited for me to propose as I was and they were great partners on the way to getting a yes from my now fiance. HIghly recommend them if you are in the market for a fully custom engagement ring or any other fine jewelry. We will be going back for our wedding bands as well.

I have been to Secrete a few times for jewelry and watch repair and maintenance. They are always very kind and helpful, and happy to take links out of a bracelet watch band, fix a broken necklace chain, or put a new battery in a watch. I know Im not a big spender here compared to those purchasing jewelry, but they always treat me well and do a great job, which I really appreciate.

They are great, and just got better by the addition of Mari and Ari. This is not your stodgy grandfathers store. They are smart, knowledgeable, very friendly and very customer oriented. This is the only jewelry store for me.

These guys are the best at their craft. I just had a ring custom made for my wonderful fiance. They asked me some things about my fiance and came up with a ring that screamed her. I will be coming here to have our wedding band made and definitely for any future jewelery. Oh and if youre a watch lover they have something for you.

I needed a 43 year old wedding ring resized and Tony did it perfectly while I waited, for a more than reasonable price. He helped get the sizing just right and polished the ring so it looks brand new. I will definitely be back for my future jewelry needs.

I had a very small but personally valuable Caribbean blue Peruvian opal from the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show - I was hesitant to have them set it, being friends with the miner and the cutter - I recently had a well known jeweler in upstate New York set a fire opal - and they cracked it - not to mention setting it with prongs that you could tow a small SUV with - Secrète did an excellent job setting a notoriously tricky and soft stone. It took a little time, but the work is A1.

I want to thank the member of the staff who assisted us in an appraisal. Not only were we given a value - and how this value is related to both wholesale and retail sales - we were also educated as to the cutting and marketing of the gem in question (ruby) with respect to another gem (sapphire). Our piece was polished, free of charge. We were also impressed with the collections in the showcases.
