Drove for nothing. My cars transmission tore up and I was in a bind and needed a good car quickly. Saw this place advertised on Facebook as 295 down then tax and tags and your good to go. Reached out spoke to a Christopher sent my paystubs in as requested and was told to bring my down payment and everything was a go. Now mind you I Live 5 min from the eastern shore Virginia line so this was almost a 2hr drive for me. I took the rest of the day off from work and borrowed my sister lil beater car to ride and do the paperwork and test drive. Finally got there and the salesman who spoke with me was on lunch when I got there so I had to wait a little which was ok because I got to test drive and look at the cars the salesman put aside for me with my budget. I test drove a car and was in love I knew this was the car for me and my family. Just to be told that they could not verify my employment mind you I sent all this information in hours before I was told to come and that everything was a go. They said the 5 pay stubs that I provided was not enough to prove employment despite the last pay stub showing I was pd that day. They seem to insist that it was a temp employment agency that I was working for despite me being able to provide stubs if they needed it for almost 1yr. I felt so defeated because it's simply the case of 1 company that merged with another kinda like how united healthcare owns optum but the pay stubs say optum. Anyway I left with no car and more than 1/2 my day just wasted no to mention the money I missed taking off to do this. I then stopped to carmax in salisbury md and with the same pay stubs and down payment got a 2022 eco sport ford but I must say the car I originally drove in dover was really my pick but I needed something. The verification should have been done before I was told to drive almost 2 hrs to them and what do they do for people who are on disability and social security they have income but no employment so I guess they can't help them either. The cars were nice but they dropped the ball on this one which really let me down. My time and money was wasted for something I could have been told over the phone. Please if your traveling to get their make sure they verify your income before you start riding .

WOULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS IF I COULD. They have good customer service from when I went but they sold me a lemon car. A car that looked great until the warranty was up and you had to pay for everything out of pocket. My back breaks were completely stripped and every bolt was tightened to the max causing more damage. The tires only lasted 2 yrs and were basically stripped right off the lot

Do not believe the reviews for Car Zone good or bad. Go there and you will know if they are for you. They didnt treat me as a good customer. I drove a truck and it was damaged so I dont think they service vehicles first. The steering was crooked. I was then left outside standing do it didnt take me long to get the hind. They service who they want. I jumped in myand had the best used car respect sales ever, so go on over to Car Mart oh and the vehicle is service before sales car and call Care Mart back.

The staff lie! The manager in the office is very judgmental of its patrons. Assumes the worst. She thinks a 5 minute test drive is suffice. It takes a good 20 mins or more for check engine light to come on. She assumes all customers must have bad credit. Which we do not! We had a time crunch for a business adventure otherwise we would have went else where. That manager leaves a bad taste in your mouth! The manager needs to go! Update....the staff lie! The company they put you through for financing does not allow you to pay ahead to save interest. They lied only full pay off!

Listen never again!!!! This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had!! The warranty is a joke too!! Veronica made me think this was going to be an amazing car buying experience but it s the worst decision I have ever made. I bought the car and within a week something was wrong with car passenger side tire. I took it back and I heard them whispering in the back saying this should have been fixed before she left. And then a few weeks later I m sitting in the car and it started shaking real bad. Warranty covered half the problem and then they still charged me for them servicing the car. Covered is covered. But apparently that isn t the case because some was covered but because a uncovered problem caused the covered item to go bad it wasn t covered anymore. I went to car zone and was told this is the price I pay for buying a new car. No help. They wouldn t even let me exchange it for another one. I finally went to speak with Bobby. And I m hand gestures he basically said he can t help Me with money. Who said I didn t have money. It s the principle. U don t thoroughly look at these vehicles before u sell them. And get over on people with warranty s and don t explain things thoroughly. Buyer beware! Don t do it!! It s not worth it.

Brought a car and made my down payment may 13.told them check engine light was on they said it was a o2 sensor. transmission went up may 28 called and let them know every problem as they were coming. Please please do a good check on ur cars before purchasing !!! They take their time with making appointments and do everything on there time and definitely don t care how it effectives you or your work schedule.

I brought a truck from them years ago and they were honest and a stand up company but I brought a second car from them which had A/C And fuel hose problems they did not inform me of and if I didn t have the extend warranty I would have been screwed and the extended warranty company they use is horrible I am being told but Auto Repair Centers

This is the place to go to get financed if you have no other options. They do not stand by their agreements for any repairs that need to be done. I had two things that needed to be replaced. Every time I called I was told the parts were on order and they would call me when they arrived. Almost 2 months later, I replaced one of the parts myself. It took me 2 days to get the part. I am still trying to get other work done to get it through Maryland inspection. I am not sure what they do there as far as mechanical work, but it cant be much. Go somewhere else if you can.

I purchased my new car 2 weeks ago, great running car, low mileage, Bobby let me test drive several cars of my choice. The one I chose is great but the only downsize is, tires on the front were bigger then the ones in the back. I just purchased brand new tires today for my car and it rides perfect. I believe when purchasing a car from here as much as I am paying, the tires should match, be the correct size. Other than that, Im happy

Went into the dealership on Saturday to get pricing on a car for my daughter. Didn t need a loan was going to pay cash, however not one person came out from the back. 4 customers were in there and the employees were in the back having personal conversation. I had divorce credit (which is not great) so my car buying options were very limited and went to car zone. Victoria was absolutely amazing. She didnt pressure me at all, was friendly and personable and went straight to work to get me into a good car. Ended up getting a better car than I expected. The whole process took only about 2 hours and I drove home in my new car. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend.

What a waste of time. Came here to try and get a side car. Once they seen how much money I made they wanted me to put down a lot of money on this used car. They must thought I was dumb and just wanted to throw money away. False advertising. Take your Business to another dealer that stands behind there advertising.

I was told down payment might not be more then 200.00 i get there and its 3000.00 to put down. Also when i got there first thing the next day the car that was being advertised and that is still on there site is not there. We even told the salesman that i didnt want to come up there for nothing and explained my situation. Thats a salesman for you lol

I don t really think I could give this place a star. Went in to trade in my vehicle and they told me they couldn t take my car cause of the year and mileage on the car. But yet they say on the radio commercials that they take any trade in any condition and that they pay top dollar for the trade in. The told me I would only get 300 when you look on Kelly blue book they have a car with more miles for 4,000. Sorry but we will never recommend them to anyone

First off I road over a hour to get to Carzone in Dover De. After speaking with Brian the Manager on Monday about purchasing a small car for my son that attends college. So a expensive car is not needed. Just a reliable one. Ok.... We saw a car that fit out budget, kept an eye on it for several days on Carzones website. When we get there we were welcomed to the car lot. And our sales man was nice enough. The problem came after we finished the paper work & went outside to the car my Son wanted. And we were quoted a totally different price then what was on their website . The web price was $5485.00 & they quoted me 8895.00 Now.. My family & I look at each other & my son pulls up the website to show the price. Now our car sales men, & his boss with another gentleman huddle together. Because they stated the car was marked at the wrong price!!! What! Its been up there for days!! And you didnt realize it!!! Now you cant honor that price because as Brian stated he wouldnt make money if he did!!! Im really disgusted no honor among thieves.. I wouldnt give them .05 cents of my hard earned money... I have a camera shot of the original website price Im calling the better business bureau on 5/11/15. Just to complain because its my right. And they shouldnt disregard the consumer & place fraudulent prices on the website. In closing we werent even 1mile down the road & they changed the price on the website... No Class!! PSA: 8/25/15 4 Customers in the last 3 weeks asked Me had I heard of this particular car lot... No response.

$300 down payment turned into $1000 had to bring vehicle back to have it worked on it Sat there all day made me miss a days work now brakes are making a horrible sound and check engine light is on its only been 2 days since they worked on it. not to mention vehicle was double the price which they didnt mention until I already gave them a $1000 try somewhere else. Not happy at all

Ad says buy here pay here on turn downs. I had the cash but they refused to sell me the car saying they didnt have any BHPH cars left. I saw 3 in the ad that were still on the lot. 8/26/2018 Well I took another shot at Carzone. Apparently I was talking to the wrong salesman. This time around Veronica helped me with my needs and got me the car that I wanted without any problems. If anyone wants to buy a car go see Veronica she is very professional obviously cares about selling cars more than the other guy did. They have awesome cars very reliable cars. I will only deal with Veronica in the future.

They sold us a lemon ... our first car experience ... we didnt know better ... sold us a car with the engine ligth on saying oh is missing a piece that is been ship and we will put itnfor u this week .. purchased the car ... a week later they call us saying the part is here so I drop the car off engine ligth is off now when I pick the car up .. 24 hr later ligth comes back on .. go back to the place after scanning the car ... catalyst converter mess up .. (obviously all they did was re started my car so the engine ligth will go off for when I pick up the car ).. I went and spoke to them about it ... exactly a week after purchasing the car .. (they respond .. oh well .. that isnt cover by the insurance you would have to fix it on ur own ).. thats a shame .. we didnt know better about cars ... and end up paying 28000 for a car that should of be 15000 ..

This was my first time financing a vehicle, I was scared and wasnt sure if I would be leaving with a car. I cant tell you how comfortable Veronica (sales professional) made me feel during this experience, I got the perfect car for me and the down payment was completely reasonable. I went to 3 car dealers before I tried here and when I pulled into the lot ,from the selection of cars I could see from a distance from the road, I knew Ive arrived to the right place. I would suggest everyone to go here.

I was just in a car accident last weekend. I knew my car was totaled and I dont have good credit AT ALL... I was looking though google for buy here pay here places around me and found car zone online... I submitted my application online and went in the next morning... To my surprise they actually found someone to finance me!! I walked out that day with my newly used 2015 kia optima for only $1,000 down, extended warranty, AND gap insurance for $400 a month but they had several other VERY nice cars I could have gotten in for waaaay less down and cheaper monthly payments.. I chose the Optima because I liked it the best and ive been wanting an Optima for about 3 years now so why not go for it since it was approved... right??! Excellent service from Mr. Bobby (my salesman) at the dover, de location... He made everything work for me to get what I wanted!! Thank You Very much Car Zone and Bobby! I thought this was going to be like every other car place . Needing a high amount of money to even be considered to buy a car. But it wasnt they not only made my down payment reasonable but they took my trade-in (which didnt even run) and made that the bulk of my down payment. The staff is friendly, funny, and understanding. 5 Stars all around the board.

I had the best experience. No pressure. I just knew I wouldnt qualify to get financed but I did. My salesman Bobby and the sales manager are the best. They worked with me and I came home with my 2012 Nissan Versa. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great team of people to help them get on the road

My husband and I stopped in to test drive a car, spoke with salesman, who refused the test drive until we gave him all of our personal information to process and complete loan. We refused. Why would a company expect to abtain SS #, employment information, ect. When the customer doesnt even know if they want the auto? Shady business!

My experience with car zone was to say the least GREAT the salesman Bobby was so helpful I literally felt like I was sitting with a friend chatting about a car. The process from start to finish took really no time, and after several mishaps with my credit, they were still able to get me financed. I will be returning to Car Zone for all of my vehicle purchases, and will be recommending them to everyone I know.

After a divorce and 2 repos ruining my already not so good credit, I gave up on ever thinking I could get a dependable car. But I stopped in anyway just to see. Im glad I did! I was approved through the bank and got a beautiful 2014 Ford Fusion that was up to date with the times! Veronica was very knowledgeable and understanding of my personal time as well. I absolutely love #CarZone ! After explaining goals and showing a few pieces of paper, Bobby Moseder showed me my options that were in my budget. One of the cars, a KIA Soul, I didnt imagine would be an option for me with such a low credit score. However, I was wrong. Within what seemed like minutes I was in a new reliable vehicle. Along with alot of help, Im sure. Without the financing official, Katherine, I wouldnt have such reasonable payments. Car Zone is the best place to go. My husband and I just bought our second vehicle from them. Bobby is an awesome car salesman. He tells us straight from the door of what we need and we had it or they worked with us . This is the only car place that we go to for our vehicles. Bobby and Cathy always work with us. We will be back in a couple years for a third vehicle if we need it. They always done us right.

I am happy to say overall my experience with TheCarZone in Dover Delaware was exceptional. I bought my first car here almost two weeks ago. The staff is friendly and out going. They did everything in their power to help me get a vehicle. I will be going here for my vehicles from now on. I purchased a 2008 Hyundai Sonata GLS and its everything I could of asked for. I was a little weary about going to Carzone only because Ive heard horror stories about them. But as soon as I walked through the door, I felt welcomed and confident! Bobby helped me every step of the way. I purchased my first car from them and I can see myself purchasing my second car with them as well. As long as you make your payments on time, there will not be a problem. They worked with what I had to offer and got me the car I wanted and I love my car! From the initial phone conversation to completing the final sale everyone at Carzone was amazing. Veronica, Kathy and Bobbie were friendly and understanding. I would definitely recommend them, especially to people whom have issues with their credit. I drove away in one of the nicest vehicles I have even owned despite it being a used vehicle. That says a lot since Ive always driven new cars.

I called car zone, and I was greeted so nicely on the phone . I explained my situation to Brian and I felt so helpless like I was out of luck. Brian simply said be more positive dont be so negative, he told me that they would get me into a reliable vehicle ! He went over my info, and said he would call me back in 15 minutes . He was very prompt called me back and told me i was approved I was so excited . I went in to car zone 3days later . My first question was are you guys gonna tell me what vehicles i can get . The response was NO you choose what you want, a big smile came across my face, and I chose the vehicle that I wanted . I would recommend Brian to anyone who is looking for a car he is SO NICE, and FUNNY and he does not pressure you at all about getting the car ! I enjoyed every second while getting my paperwork ready for my vehicle ! Im in love with my car and the best part is that I didnt have to settle for any old vehicle ! worst company ever and the banks they work with too. have bad credit and first time buyer bank backed me up to 14k and car zone let me take vehicle home . next day bank denied me and car zone literally put me on the street. so happy it didnt work was able to go elsewhere and get more for less. much less. i would not recommend to go here and def not for your first car. and to mrs brown to back up her experience brian plays like he knows what he is doing but in fact he doesnt also they all played the whole we wont make any money throughout the whole process. if you all want a real car that works for cheap with no problems and without the hassel go elsewhere.

went to buy a second car from there since we had good luck with the first, Kathy and Veronica worked on our behalf. We were treated horribly and shown two POS cars. Not the treatment you would expect for repeat paying customers.

My husband and I went there to buy a van 2 weeks ago and everyone was great we dealt with Veronica and Kathy both very friendly and great. Now we did have some concerns with the van and addressed them and they were more then willing to have the repairs done or to put us in another vehicle. Well we opted for another vehicle and my husband is there now finishing up the details seems like everything has worked out great so far will keep you posted. Now we did our financing through a national lender not in house so not sure if that makes a difference or not but either way these people seem great!

This place is a total sham... They get all there cars from auctions DOUBLE the price then when they finance you add 100% to the top so you end up paying QUADRUPLE what your car is worth. Here is my story.... Im looking online at some used cars in the area. I find this little dealership that has a pretty legit looking website with a Buy Here Pay Here option. I fill out the finance form and a few minutes later get an automatic e-mail saying that I was approved for financing. They called me at home multiple times and at work once or twice with a telemarketer attitude. Finally I give in an go to Car Zone two weeks after I filed the credit app. I walk around the lot for an hour or so with no help so I walk in and ask to test drive a car. They car I wanted to drive was being sold. I then asked to drive a few more. Finally I settle on a Chrysler 300 Touring Valued @ 13995 (2k above Blue Book). The car shuttered and needed an alignment/balance job done they said they would put it in writing that they would fix it. I said fine. Then they shipped me over to another salesmen who is like the deal closer or something. Ready for this??? He shows me the financing Deal which was $386.00 for 54 Months... Do the math I would have paid $20,844 for a car they probably got at auction or trade-in for less the $8,000. I looked at the guy an laughed in his face... I was like are you serious lol... I dont need a car that bad I kept saying Im Good lol.... He said let me go talk to the girl you are working with originally. He walked into a back room and spoke loud enough to make sure I would hear. The three people talked and kept saying things like This is the best deal he will get... We are the only place the will finance him, is he crazy. Then the guy walked out and was like the manager said Theres nothing he can do there is no better deal. No better deal??? Lets see a $13,995 car with me putting 3,000 down that makes the loan $10,995. After it was all said and done it would have cost well over $21,000....That was never a deal in the first place it was highway robbery crackhead prices. LoL... Ive heard horror story about this place but come on Car Zone $21,000 for a 2006 Chrysler 300 Touring with 80k on it????

I am disgusted with Car Zone now they sold us a car that was severely rusted. It breaks down in less than a month. They tell us to tow the car to a reputable shop (at our expense) to get work done and claim to help cover what was not under warranty. The shop does the work under warranty and replaces belts and a water pipe issues very critical to driving the car as their condition was deteriorating. Now they tell us the work was unauthorized, overcharged, and unnecessary and would have been done at a daughter shop that was near by towed under their expense done no charge by them. They will not foot the bill unless we decided to renig on previous work they promised to do. I have the parts that were worked on they refused to accept that the faulty condition was preexisting even stating that it happened under the less than month period we owned the car. They are con artist and when asked would not provide me with a form of higher management claiming I had reached the top when I discovered the president of the company was not whom I was speaking later.
