I have had 2 accounts with Finex for 10 years. In May my account was breached and ALL my money was taken. Finex is supposed to insure my money.... but they refuse to give any of it back. There is alot of proof that it was fraud but still they will not reimburse me. This caused financial hardship for me. So I caution everyone about using this credit union. They really do not care about their customers. Do not trust them with your money

Pray that your loved one never has to go into hospital and you re a family member trying to pay their bills. Awful customer service and rude tellers who are nasty and ignorant. First one tells me I need POA then another one says we just have to fill out forms in person. Don t even know their own policies. DO NOT USE THIS BRANCH.

Fees are ridiculous and their customer service is AWFUL. Adding to my review because there are just constant issues with this credit union. I sent a message via the app requesting a refund of yet another fee - an application fee for an application I did not finish because - you guessed it - more undisclosed fees came to light as I was filling it out. And now, Im locked out of my account on the app? No response from anyone and now I cant access the app. Seems like interesting timing. I really wish we could leave this place immediately and take our money elsewhere but were tied to it for the time being. I thought that credit unions were supposed to be more trustworthy than big banks, and have members at the center of its concerns rather than padding their own pockets. Not the case with FINEX.

Great mini bank been here in CT been with them for about 7 years now, I get paid 2 days earlier, easy fast video tellers, quick atms plus s free atm in the actual app itself it s litt. If you live in east hartford go to them they ll take care of you. 3 loans I got boosted my credit score , great bank. Yes I know it s a union I m just used of saying bank lol shout out to Samantha for always helping me out all 3 times of my loan thank you so much

Worst credit Union ever. They completely closed off the lobby and made everything with minimal human contact. When you call nobody answers the phone and they dont return calls within one hour like the automated machine says. Also, the managers work from home and are only sometimes in the actual building. They also float around and arent in the same building every day. This is the least customer friendly credit union ever. The inside lobby is just like a prison where you get to talk to an inmate through bulletproof glass. Ridiculous.

Only to go back in my account in which they shouldnt because the account I have. Avoid this Financial institution. Had 5 auto loan with this bank an this is my review. This Credit Union is the finest financial institution I have ever done business with. The are competent, compassionate, and understanding. Whenever I have gotten my self into a financial problem, they are always there to help. No judgment, just concern. Many banks and even Credit Unions are cold and calculating. They are none of these. I recommend ANYONE, whether very wealthy or scraping by, to join this Credit Union. They are financially savvy and will help you get the most out of your investments. Above all, they are honest, which is an almost impossible trait for any financial institution.

Unprofessional, incompetent, unpunctual, irresponsible, the list could go on. Just a few examples of what I have ran into: Unprofessional: the loan supervisor, Sheri, who loudly and obnoxiously laughed right in my face for a matter I had nothing to do with. The worker at my DMV did not know whether the appropriate title was electronic or paper. Sheri just thought that was hysterical and began to laugh over and over. I could have said many very rude things and acted as Sheri did, but I stated that I had no comment on that matter. Josephine who blatantly hung up on me after I NICELY asked to speak with Sheri, her manager. Again, not rude at all, but had every reason to be!! Incompetent: Sheri who explained I was unable to obtain a loan release because I no longer had a loan with their institution. Of course I don t because I paid it off. Also failed to read the letter send from my DMV needed the loan release to be SIGNED and faxed, causing more lapse of time for my to obtain the necessary documents after waiting days on in with no response. Unpunctual: Samantha who initially helped with my loan, there were 3-5 times I repeatedly left messages and sent emails needed assistance with no response. Also, April 19, 2024 my loan was satisfied, April 21, 2024 sent email requesting loan release letter . May 2, 2024 still no follow up from Samantha, but now had to have Sheri involved to FINALLY obtain documents, after many calls and emails, but she did work timely on the manner because at this point I think they knew I was not giving up. I needed this document. Irresponsible: not 1, but 2 titles sent to the same address my pay off check was sent to Never received a title but you bet they received that check sent to the same place!! The back story: (to warn others): This has been the worst experience with a financial institution. While yes they have good rates, they also have hidden fees. Hidden fees that don t come to surface until charged to one s account. Punishment fees for not using your own money. Not to mention the first debt card I received was defective and did not work, leaving me with practically no access to the funds in my accounts, I end up requesting a new card after realizing it was defective. So I go a whole month with no debt card yet was still charged a fee for not using my debt card 12 times. I didn t even have a working card for 12 days. But that s minor compared to the headache I have dealt with for the past 6 months. I purchased a recreational vehicle with a lien here. After taking approximately 3-4 weeks for the loan department to finally answer my calls and e-mails and approve me for the loan to being able to finally go purchase the vehicle, the title is lost . And has not been received after the sellers bank had mailed it. I then am forced to contact my seller again months later have him go to his local DMV and request a title. Then have to meet him again and get the title to go put it in my name at my local DMV. Then my DMV send the new title to Finex, the only one address that all documents are sent to. Guess what they haven t received it yet 4 weeks later. After months of fees, lost title, lengthy response times, poor customer service, I decide to sell the machine and close my accounts. A payoff check is sent to the branch, again same address all documents are sent to. Tracking number states package is delivered at 10:13AM and gives the name of the person who signed for it. Around 2:00pm I m told via email that person does not work there. Later that day about 20mins from closing oh guess what, the check just got delivered. But still no title? Hmm sent to the same address? Hmm strange. Now we are on day 5 of trying to obtain a lien release so I can go back to my dmv and obtain another title to give to my sellers. I finally received a letter with the necessary requirements Tuesday, April 30. The customer service and competence of these employees and institution is very poor. I hope they don t treat all of their customers like this.

This bank has gone down hill since I opened my account 10 years ago.. came to the bank today with an issue and the bank teller Maria seemed as if I was bothering her and didn t want to help me. Told her about my issue and she looked me dead in the face and said.. well there s nothing I can do. Have a good day. No customer care or anything. This bank use to be better and care for their customers. I should have changed banks once they went down to only one person service building and everything virtual.

FINEX is very professional and understanding of all my banking needs. I have been a member since I was in my 30s and they were great then, and continue to be outstanding. What is most amazing is that live people are available to answer questions and respond to requests on the phone and in person!! I was a member at first Connecticut credit union. Over the weekend my bank merged with Finex with no updates or notification. I had no login credentials to check my account. Now my balance is incorrect and all of my debit purchases are being deducted from a savings account with no money leaving me with a negative balance. I only figured this out after I kept being declined trying to use me debit card. I have been left on hold all day, havent received any calls back and dont want to use my debit card until this has been sorted out.

As soon as my deposit clears Im taking my money and switching back to my original bank By far the worst credit union. The technology is far behind it keeps putting holds on my instant cash app deposits also they are false advertising early direct deposits and the limit on their debit cards are low as well as horrible customer service and thats if you can ever reach someone my best advice will be not to open s account here and just bank at a real bank or more reputable credit union

Auto Lease Buy-Out Borrower BEWARE! I have excellent credit and wanted to use them on a lease buy-out. So they take my SS#, do a hard inquiry only to tell me after the fact that theyll only write my loan if I become a member with direct deposit and wait 90 days for my loan. Wait what? That would be nice to know before you do the hard inquiry, as I dont have 90- days before my lease matures. I tried to appeal to upper management and they didnt have the decency to actually discuss this with me. Basically it was sorry, not sorry. Their fast approval claim is false, they dont disclose basic membership terms before hitting you with a hard inquiry, and they basically dont care. Im not sure how the 4.9 stars is possible but I write this to hopefully make someone else aware. What a horrible customer experience.

My experience with Finex CU has been and still is as smooth as I could hope for. The whole team is fantastic and Sam in particular has been A huge help in lowering my monthly auto loan. I refinanced 2 vehicles through Finex and could not get a better rate than what they offered me. If you have multiple loans through them as I do, the app is seamless and so user friendly. 5 stars from this guy.

I don t like the fact that it s all video tellers. But the teller I had Cameron was very polite and courteous, and helped me with everything I had to do.

This is a great financial institution & the customer service is top tier! Special thanks to Jasmin who assisted me with notary for important documents. Also, Maria for getting me a new account number because of stolen credentials. These ladies always assist customers effectively and with a smile. They go above and beyond! Jasmin was very helpful she was nice to me and helped me open my bank account over all nice and easy peasy over the phone and text thanks Just got approved for a car loan so excited and Josephine Gonzales answered the questions I had and helped me through everything, she was so nice and kind to me! :) I got my car!! So excited thank you Josephine! And Finex CU! I love this credit union, they re very nice ladies and I got my debit card very quickly cuz I lost my other one thank you all for your help for my banking needs
