Falcon Family Eye Care

I loved this place. The doctors are nice and fantastic. However this is my complaint. I came in yesterday, my glasses were in perfect condition. I had new lenses in and I was getting them replaced. They took them to a back room to fit them and came out and said they were broken. They said there was a crack in them before they tried putting the lenses in the frames. I know for sure they weren't broken, then they blamed me and charged me for replacement frames. After charging me they had told me that they had cut the lenses to be too big for the frames and that they'd have to order new lenses again. Which in my mind that means they had cut them too big and tried to jam them into my frames, breaking them. I was very frustrated at my service. In the pictures below is proof that the lenses fitted are too big and the gap is a bit more than a little crack.

Every time we go here we’re well taken care of and feel welcome. The staff is all so friendly and great with the kids. They explain each part of the exam so they won’t be nervous. My kids love going to the eye doctor here, and I’m so glad I found this place.

Went in for glasses and contacts. These thieves had no problem charging an arm and a leg and not explaining that my insurance would cover only one or the other leaving me with a balance. After picking up my glasses and reluctantly paying the new extorted rate, I found my glasses didn’t fit. No measurements of my face were ever taken! I took the glasses in to get fitted properly and the incompetent receptionist only bent the stems of my glasses. They are refusing a refund. Stay away from Falcon Family Eye-care and seek real professionals.

Worst eye exam experience ever. Booked an appointment for 2:00, was told it was 2:20 the day before. Took me 15 minutes to be seen and then another 30 minutes until Dr. Kohler showed up to see me. When I expressed my concern over this running so late (I had to pick my child up from school coming up) he told me I had attitude - which is really the last thing you should tell a patient when they are voicing their concerns. He didnt say we will do everything to make this right, instead blamed me for the difficulty. I walked out of the appointment because at this point, I had zero confidence that Dr. Kohler was going to get my prescription right. Stay Away! There are plenty of other eye Drs around.

We loved dr Amanda and had been going to Falcon Family Eye Care for years. They now have a new dr as well and the service is not to par. I have UMR insurance which on falcon family eye care website they say they accept and have given us and multiple people I work with issues and say they no longer accept our insurance our vision insurance doesn t have a network and we can go to any dr. All claims have been pain in full according to my EOB so not sure why they decided to not see so many patients. I called at the beginning of the year to be sure to get an appointment with another optometrist if they weren t accepting my insurance. The office staff said they would call me back and never did. They are still sending messages to schedule my appointment and renew my contacts but wouldn t ever call back. I m sad that the Service was so poor this year it was greater in the past.

A month ago I switched to progressive lenses and I was having a hard time adjusting. Cindy told me to come in and she would take a look. She did some adjusting and said if I had any issues to call her. She was so helpful and understanding. I have always had good experiences here.

STAY AWAY AS FAR AS YOU CAN. They are rude and lack of common sense. Hanged up the phone and just terrible communication. STAY AWAY! Horrible customer service! The worst! I had a terrible experience with this store when I purchased my glasses about 6 months ago, but the issue was resolved satisfactorily, so I was ok with that outcome. However, I walked in today to see if they can help with my glasses having a lens falling out, and two ladies at front desk did not even say hello. They were working on a printer and seemed as though this was their biggest priority over a customer walking in to the store. I asked if someone could help with the lens coming out, and they told me the optometrist is the only one who can help me, and she was on the phone. 15 minutes later, the optometrist took my glasses and fixed the issue. While I was standing there waiting, a couple entered, and both ladies at the front desk all of the sudden became happy with smiles on their faces, and one spoke up to confirm the last name of this couple, before either customer could even get a word out. All the sudden, these ladies were nice and helpful! It was obvious these folks had an appointment and were just starting the process of ordering products from this store. Conclusion is that obviously the only way you are treated with respect in this store is if you are there to spend money. After youve spent money (over $600 for me), you no longer mean anything!

Having only gone here a handful of times since 2020, Ive had only good experiences. The initial exam is quick, its also nice having lots of options for frames when youre not looking to spend more than you have. Front desk staff have always made me feel welcome and the same is said for the doctor.

Terrible experience!!!! This place lacks so much communication!!! Avoid it or at least try to get more answers before you go!! I felt like they took advantage! First of all, I don t have insurance so I was expecting upfront cost amounts. They told me it would be $150 for a new patient exam, which I agreed to. I came in with my previous prescription, so it she had a good start to go off of since I had my previous exam a little bit over a year ago. When I was inside filling in paperwork there was a chart with different prices which said $89 for contacts/astigmatism. I asked the lady if it would only be $89, she said yes which made me feel good thinking for contacts it would only be that much. She asked if I wanted to dilate my eyes or take a photo, I said sure, we can take the photo instead. Upon leaving the lady upfront said my total was close to $300? Confused, she explained that it s $150 plus $89 for contacts, PLUS the cost of taking the image of the eye. Why didn t the lady who asked to take a picture of my eye tell me that dilating is free of charge and the image is a charge as well, since I am paying out of pocket. I work in the medical field and we are very straightforward with prices on everything BEFORE we do any sort of exam or treatment. To continue, I paid the bill. I asked when I would be getting the trial contacts I asked for, and the trials the doctor recommended. They said 3-5 days. Here we are still a MONTH later waiting on these trials, which means I still can t get my prescription to order my contacts. They never called me to keep me updated, and I have called once a week to get an updated instead on them calling me. There is absolutely no communication in this clinic. 5 thumbs down. $300 later that I basically donated to this clinic and got nothing in return.

Our family is always treated well and today s appointment was no different. Anna, Joy, Cynthia, and Dr. Kate are helpful, professional, speak to my children kindly, and manage to get us out in a timely manner. I picked out new frames today and Anna was such a gem. Change can be difficult but she was an encourager with honest opinions and feedback. Thanks, Anna! I love my new glasses! Thanks for taking care of my family!

The place is great. Ive been going here since I was in middle school and the service has been wonderful each time. The workers make you feel comfortable and are very helpful when it comes to trying to figure out what you need. Theyve got a variety of frames and that makes it easier to find the one thats just right. Thank you guys. :)

My daughter was seen a second time at this office for her annual exam and fitting for contacts. We presented the option of daily contacts unbeknownst to me they are the most expensive option. When checking out I asked about monthly contacts and front office stated we would need to come back for another contact fitting. I found out my daughter has dual insurance and provided the insurance 1 week after the initial exam to Falcon eye care. I had paid for the contact exam out of pocket due to the primary insurance not covering this appointment, when I asked if they would rebill the second insurance to see if I can get a reimbursement and the lady said no that can not be done. However, I do medical billing and yes you can rebill insurance up to 90+ days from the Date Of Service. Do not get scammed out of money with this provider!! Please do your do diligence!

Cant say enough good about this place. Had a piece of metal in my eye with major discomfort. Called at 8 in the morning and they saw me by 10. Got the metal out and antibiotic drops to go with it all at a very fair price for no insurance. Thank you very much ladies for your help!

Not because u see many good reviews means they r real, let me start with the doctor, she was ok, I give one star because I think is the front desk employee that r very unprofessional, give me the impression that u have to buy the glasses from them if not theyll forget about you, to get my special contact lenses took a month and they didnt work, I bring my old prescription for them to match it and it has been 2 months and I have NOTHING! No calls no follow ups, if I call they dont care, if I show up for questions is like i was never there etc. Like straight they dont give a s... I sure hope you all have a better experience than mine, their glasses r overpriced I always prefer walmart that I can get great quality for half the price. What a shame.

This is the worst office I have ever dealt with. They do not communicate and they make mistakes then blame them on the patient. I was lied to several times about where my daughters contacts were. Never received them but was told I could not get a refund.

Wonderful and amazing serivce. When I frist came in i was extremely nervous on getting glasses and the employees were extremely nice and sweet. This place is horrible the people at the front desk seems rude and they dont acknowledge you as a customer so when me and my son walk in its seems like were a burden and there is never a smile from any of them, and to top it off my glasses is the wrong prescription and I cant wear them but they keep sending me a bill expecting me to pay for glasses I cant wear. I will never come back.

I went in to see Dr. Walls, and she is a nice person, and a smart person to. Dr. Walls will answer any questions you have about your eyes. They have a selection of Frames, and I like that they check that the prescription is the right one before they give you your glasses or contacts. Dr. Walls and her staff are nice people. I recommend this place for your eye care needs. I live in Colorado Springs and dont have a car, but Dr. Walls finds a way to get you your glasses anyway. Im still waiting 2 weeks later for my glasses. I did have to wear a mask even though I was the only person in the waiting room. One of her staff didnt have to wear a mask even indoors. No place is perfect, but this is one of the best in this area. Ill see them next year.

Do not go here, worst experience of my life. I needed my prescription changed and it took them over a month to get anything done. After 1.5 months I finally was told I need to re-schedule an appointment. At that appointment I ordered contacts and they did not place the order. I called two weeks later they LIED to me said they were on back order when in fact they were never ordered! I could tell because it goes through meet Marlo and low and behold I get an email they were ordered within 15 mins of getting off the phone. I m almost out of contacts and this business doesn t care. WORST EYE DR AND CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENDURED

Dr Walls and all three staff members in the office were so friendly, prompt, and accommodative. I had a wonderful experience! I have Tricare insurance and didn t have any issues. I was well informed during each step: check-in, pre-screen, exam, post exam, and check-out! They even put in a lot of effort to figure out which next schedule date worked best with me and offered a Saturday appointment! Also, they called the day before my appointment to remind me as well as sent texts!

Dr. Walls is a super caring doctor, she obviously cares about her patients and always makes me feel cared for. My prescription has been kind of tricky and she has helped me figure it out. Her staff is helpful & responsive and its easy to schedule an appointment. They have good deals and rebates on contacts too!

Got there less than 15 min late and was turned away but they still send me a text asking for review. They have gotten to big to care about any single customer. Last time I called for and emergency card board hit me in the eye I couldnt get seen for more than a day on an emergency basis. Wont even bother call any more as theyre just too busy.

This is an amazing eye care facility with the upmost care!! From customer service to quality and everything in between. We range from 3-34 and they adapt to each and every one of our needs. Hands down, they are the best family oriented place!! They always have a smile, they explain everything and give you honest opinions!! This helps make decisions when it is overwhelming and allows you to process how each exam went. As a family of 5 it can get overwhelming but they take a huge weight off your shoulders. If you are debating between big companies, some place local or where to go, you definitely won t be disappointed in Falcon Family Eye Care!!

This was my first time at this eye doctor and from the second I walked in to the second I walked out I feel like I was given great service. The receptionist and doctors were very timely and friendly. I was called back right at my appointment time and was quick in and out.

Love Dr Amanda. Love her staff and I love they care. I have went to other eye doctors and they messed up my prescriptions, this is the only Doctors office I ve been to and they improve my eye site with glasses or contacts!! I won t go anywhere else!!

A wonderful family eye clinic. The whole staff was very help full. I was in and out, in no time, considering the doctor dilated my eyes. But hey, whats a good exam without a thorough check of your eyes!

I had a great experience at Falcon Family Eye Care. The office staff was great and answered all my questions. The lab equipment was clean, worked well and it was super easy getting my eyes measured and looked. Dr. Walls knows her stuff and I highly recommend this place!

This was my first visit to Falcon Family Eye Care in Falcon, CO. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Amanda Walls performed an eye exam for me. She was very thorough and explained everything that was done. Dr. Walls is pleasant, friendly and very knowledgeable. Dr Walls and her staff are fantastic. Always prompt, always friendly and we always receive great care. On our most recent visit they worked hard to find the perfect prescription and brand of contacts for my daughter who has an astigmatism in both eyes. They also looked to find the best deal as far as glasses vs contacts and what would work best to have our insurance cover since she needed both. The office staff is great and always friendly and helpful. I highly recommended Dr Walls and Falcon Family Eye Care.

My husband went here for his VA prescription and I was impressed by all the tests he was given being diabetic so I thought Id give Falcon Family Eye Care a try. I usually go to Walmart for the price but these types of places treat you like cattle and soon learned that you get what you pay for! I cant say enough about the staff and Doctor... The exam was hi-tech and the Doctor was so knowledgeable. I must have asked a hundred questions to include pricing. After my exam, I decided to spend a little more to get the high quality lenses I needed. I never thought I would be so excited to get my new glasses! Thank you Falcon Family Eye Care! I appreciate your expertise, detail and customer service!

Got a piece of metal in my eye. We called early the next day and they got me in right away. The doctor explained the process and the metal had left some rust in the eye. 5 minutes later we where walking out and felling way better. Thank you so much falcon family eye care.

Falcon Family Eye Care is a new provider for us. We liked our other eye doctor, but feel that Falcon Family Eye Care is also a good fit. The staff goes out of their way to be sure that your eye wear fits and works well for you. My new frames were not comfortable for me. Ashley made sure that the fit was corrected and that I was happy with my new eye wear. Above and beyond. They try hard.

My experience was not very professional. There was a baby-sitter and a baby in the office behind the counter; the glass-fitter never asked me to have a seat while trying on frames; when I picked up my glasses, I was fitted while I was standing even though there were chairs around to sit in. Not the experience I expected.

Not going to be told I have to dilate my eyes. Will go elsewhere. Gave the wrong prescription to my son and said he would get used to it. He just wears his old glasses. Charged my wife 300 dollars for frames, when you can get get frames for much much less at walmart. They close before 5pm when they say they are opened until 5. Very expensive place that treats customers like they are owned by the eye glass center. Wont ever get mine or my families business again. The required eye dilation is something you pay for so dont tell me its in the patients best interest when all it is, is a way to get more money from them. You may have caught 5 things wrong with patients but you have charged thousands of dollars for that. Ever thought of suggesting this be done rather than demanding it be done. Letting the patients chose or including it in the eye exam price. If it was about patient care as you suggest, instead of about money then stop charging extra for a required service.

Dr. Walls and her staff are always so kind and offer great eye care. I have also brought both of my young children to Dr. Walls and hands down it is the best pediatric eye care we have received. I will continue to use them and also continue to bring my kids there.

Everyone was super nice! I had to bring my 5 year old super talkative son with me and they were very patient with him. I ended up needing glasses. That gave me all the options available to me and let me decide if I wanted the extra. Never once was anyone pushy and they had my best interest in mind the whole time.
