Credit Union of Denver

So I've banked with The Credit Union of Denver for several years now. They have been better than any bank I have ever had. I've had nothing but positive experiences. They always make everything quick and easy. Specifically I would like to thank Marlene and Claudine in Loss Mitigation. Marlene was so kind and understanding when I spoke with her. And Claudine, well she is a sweet sweet woman that I had the pleasure to speak with twice. The first time I shared a deeply personal experience with her, and she stayed on the phone with me and at that moment, it was more than talking to a stranger on the phone. You truly helped me in ways you don't even know Claudine. I hope this reaches her, and I person thank her for taking time to make me feel at ease. Credit Union of Denver offered me my first credit card when I was in college. They even approved me my first car loan! and almost 20 years later they've been the bank that have approved HELOCs, car refinances and until recently HELPED me close on an extremely difficult mortgage refinance. There is no doubt Credit Unions have the customers best interest at heart but Credit Union of Denver goes even further. I want to give a special thanks to Call Center Rep. Kaitlin Cummings who bent over backwards (several times) when time was critical. She understood the sense of urgency and had the empathy to provide what I needed. Thank you!

Joseph Fredericks is phenomenal!! What started as a simple inquiry into an auto loan refinance for a non-member, turned into a refinance that saved me 3% off of my current auto loan rate AND a HELOC which helped me consolidate my credit card debt. There were several hurdles to tackle during the process but Joe remained positive and pulled every string possible to make it all happen!! I felt taken care of and valued during the process and I will be a member for life. I will be recommending CU of Denver and specifically Joe to all of my friends and family!

I highly recommend CUD! Ive been with them for over 14 years, and their service has always been exceptional. Even after moving out of state, we chose to stay with CUD after briefly trying a new bank. Explaining issues on credit reports after I totally satisfied accounts doesn t seem to be an issue with credit union after payed in full. Still showing on credit bureaus after totally satisfied accounts.I spent long wait times on hold said they would call me back don t happen what s wrong with setting appointment for call back time customer satisfaction very poor.

Way Out Wonderful (WOW) is what comes to mind when I think about the staff at The Credit Union of Denver. Vanessa is warehouse of information which she articulates effortlessly in layman s terms. I feel completely comfortable and transparent discussing my business goals and dreams. Monique taught me how to utilize the Debit Card Advantage Program and made sure that my accounts were synchronized to account the advantages of this program. Seanna is great with handling same day debit card replacement and all issues related to debit card functionality for easy ATM access. Jordyn is a customer service teller who knows how to handle multiple transactions at once while keeping a calm demeanor. Jordyn treated my account as though she was handling her mother s account with grace and a sense of ownership and thoughtfulness. Joe in the credit card department helped me increase my credit limit from $300 to $400 which I was able to utilize within 24 hours. Linda The amazing Fraud repair specialist. Linda was able disable my card, review all the suspicious transactions and helped to create a dispute form to eradicate the discrepancy and activate my knowing that all monies will be returned to my account swiftly. Cecila has always been a great point of contact at the Lakeview and Auraria Campus locations. Cecilia always has a pleasant energy, and she knows how to toggle financial deposits and withdrawals between my personal, business and credit card accounts with ease and grace. Kat First point of contact. She guided me to the correct employees who were able to handle my various requests. Each of these outstanding employees are pieces of a dynamic puzzle which connects smoothly. I am honored and appreciative of the stellar customer service that I continue to receive each time I visit this Lakewood location. I love the community and personable energy that manifests itself without hesitation. There is not enough space on this google platform for me to include more detailed information about how I enjoy my visits to The Credit Union of Denver; however I will say, Thank you . . Hey hey hey and continue to demonstrate the authenticity that I receive during each visit. The online banking is down way too often. Sometimes, with no idea of how long. Often on weekends. This place is concerned with fraud but not customer convience. I used to be way better, but the last year has been ridiculous. Go to Ent or somewhere else.

Denea was so helpful and patient. My parents moved to Colorado and had not had time to get established before my father passed. My mother was so discombobulated dealing with the aftermath of all of the repercussions following the loss of a pause. Debra helped us get funds transferred from New York and open accounts at CUOC. I had fallen a bit behind with my vehicle loan due to some unforeseen financial circumstances and I was in a position where I needed some assistance. Michael Clover was a massive help and walked me through my options to help me get caught and get my account to a current status. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and understanding with my situation which goes a long way when you are feeling financial stress. The closing took much longer than I was quoted. I did not receive calls back from Nestor when inquiring. However Jacob the processor turned the initial experience in to a great one. I received a text alerting me to fraud. I called the number and the third party handeling this was soaking quickly and nor airing for me to confirm or deny some charges. I have cognative issues due to severe PTSD when stressed and they became irritated and argumentative. The only info was to call the bank to reissue me a debit card. I panicked and called the main beanch and Beth Portillo was EXTREMELY calm, as I verbal vomited my stress and confusion. She was patient and compassionate in slowly explaining and just listening bc I get caught in verbal loops trying to process. She gave me the information I needed and apologized for the third party validating that with the demeanor of the third party representative I was worried that too was a scam. I cannot tell you how very much I like banking with Credit Union of Denver bc every employee I have ever engaged has been patient, calm, informative, and treated me like a human being despite my anxieties or frustrations. They ve always been informative and assertive in offering me services or advisement in regards to bank policies or services. This interaction helped me calm my nerves and finish my work day, as well as be able to come in to pick up a card to access my account again the following day. Thank you for feeling like a bank that cares and has my best financial interests in mind. I feel confident moving forward with my decision to completely ditch traditional bank and exclusively use this one. Best.

I was first greeted by Ruth at the desk when you walk in the door. She has a very nice smile and very helpful to what I wanted to do. Ricky was the next person that I was greeted by who helped me with setting up an account. It took a bit, but I did make him smile. Chrystal helped with my deposit. She was very nice. Had a nice smile. Peggy checked on me to make sure I was being taken care of as I was waiting for my debit card. We had a fraud hijack on our bank account over the weekend and I stressed about losing our money. We did everything on our side to stop it but had to wait till Monday to confirm. Luckily, I was able to contact the CEO that helped us on Sunday with someone to call us to verify and block the hijacker. We still had to come in to change the account and Janice at the bank helped get the change and made us safe again. CU of Denver has always been the best at going above and beyond to protect its customers and for that I will always stay with them.

I ve had credit union since I was 13 years old (28 now). Customer service is always on top of their game and there was a lady there that had the most soft and sweetest voice, I stg if I ever had issues, I was sitting there hoping she got assigned to my call because it was just so calming. Anyways, THANK YOU CUD for improving your mobile app. I never left feedback for the app before this change but it s like you guys knew exactly what needed to be improved on! Credit card in the same place as my debit / savings, line items for charges are simpler and I can get details on when / exactly where I spent my money. Overall, this is so nice and it feels like (as members), we should be paying a premium or fees to have an account. Grateful for you and your team. CUD all day.

A most excellent place to finance a vehicle or just for banking in general. Such an amazing staff of people they have at this place they are friendly, they care about your needs, and they do all that they can to help with any predicament that you are in. I especially want to thank Marlena Ward for all she has done to help me in my time of need. My wife and I hit some financial struggles and she has been there to always give me the best option in worst case scenarios, she is always excellent with customer service, and she always stays in touch with customers to make sure that they are all taken care of. I give this place five stars because again they are all simply put the best there is in the metro area.

I recently transferred my auto loan to my credit union and I couldnt be more happier. Denea was amazing in assisting me in the beginning process of applying and completing paperwork AND Shelly Kelso helped me through the process by walking me through filling out documents and submitting needed information. She was so kind and patience with me. It felt great. They are sooo amazing at what they do. I love love my Credit Union Yall.

Not only do they charge a $30 overdraft fee they also charge a $30 insufficient funds fee. So even if you dont have overdraft protection, they will still charge you for having insufficient funds. In the case a subscription tries to go through and is unable, you will still get charged $30 regardless if the transaction went through or not.

Today started out bad, because I was having a hard time with the new ap that was created with CUDENVER, so I called and had a very nice Lady help me. Her name is Kaitlin Cummings, she was so helpful and very nice considering I didnt know what I was doing, by the end of our conversation, I was so happy I had reached her to help me, she talked me through every thing I was having problems with. This review is regarding the assistance I received in getting accounts set up. I cannot speak to what being a customer is like, yet, as Ive only just opened my accounts. The process for applying was simple enough and straight forward. After my application was submitted, I was given a prompt that said more information needed to be clarified. I called customer service and was connected with Ricky D who also processed my app. He was extremely helpful with all of my questions and made the process go much more smoothly, which I am thankful for. I also want to mention Tomas who answered other account questions I had after my accounts were officially opened. I appreciate the kind responses and information. It goes a long way.

Claudia Gombas, Credit Union of Denver call center representative, spent nearly 40 minutes on the phone helping me to resolve an issue with logging into my account. Their system would not accept my login credentials, nor would it recognize any of the new passwords that I tried to establish - it was even adding extra characters to the passwords that I was re-entering when trying to reset my password. After several attempts to reset my password using thier default password we finally determined that the issue was probably with too many cookies in my system conflicting with their cookies. Ms. Gombas was very helpful, professional, and patient with me and my issue. She was very pleasant to talk with and I felt that she was truely interested in my problem. She deserves a Gold Star - at the least - and definitely a positive rating on her next performance review!

Would not recommend working with them. I have an auto loan through CU of Denver. Up until this month, things have been great. I received a text on 3/25/2024 saying my payment was past due. I explained that the payment was taken out of my bank account on 3/1/2024 (having my bank statement as proof). The only response I received was that they did not have it and that I would need to make the payment again that day in order for them not to report it as a late payment to my credit. Keep in mind auto loan payments are not cheap and the economy is trash. When I asked WHERE the money was, they just kept saying they didn t have it and to dispute it with my bank. Even my bank was confused since it went to CU of Denver!! They do not care about you as their customer. Very disappointing as I ve never had a late payment, and this was a mistake on their side. They take zero ownership and act oblivious. Still have no idea where my money is at.

Had to leave 5 stars for CUD - got pre-approved for an auto loan and my initial loan expired after the 60 day window as I was looking for a vehicle, so we had to redo the entire loan once I was ready (my mistake). Marsha, Christian, and Sallie were all very accommodating and got me pre-approved quickly with the same rate as my initial loan. I would recommend anyone looking for help with their finances get started with CUD

This credit union was damaging to my credit unnecessarily. They gave me bad advice about something as simple as getting credit pulled. After I moved away from the account, but keeping it open, some charges occurred on my account, unbeknownst to me, after a year of inactivity. It wasnt much when I came to the realization of it, $150, only a few months ago. So simple plan. Pay it with tax return money. But trying to log in today, I cant. I make the trip to get my mail from my other mailbox to find that they have sent it to collections. This credit union really really sucked for me and my experiences here have only damaged my credit. I came to them as a young adult looking to learn about building my credit. I felt shunned. End result is more damage to my credit. BIG L.

I had received a replacement debit card for one of my accounts so I cut up the old debit card for the wrong account. The new card did not work in the ATMs I tried. Suddenly I could not access the funds in my account. I am preparing for surgery and have several meds I need and errands to run. I was panic stricken. Jennifer Black phoned me on a Saturday. She had to call back to catch me. She asked a couple of questions and identified the problem right off. She then offered me a range of solutions to fit into my schedule. Her professionalism and patience calmed my fears, even as navigating the computer interfaces became more frustrating. By Monday morning my issues had been addressed and the solutions were in place. I deeply appreciate her support and am glad she works in my credit union.

Ive been with the credit union for almost 2 decades. Ive had various auto loans, HELOC, credit cards etc etc. I would recommend anyone looking for a great financial institution to invest in, this is it. I did my very first credit card here to establish credit history and that very card is still active today. Bruce in the call center is great, I dont know what hes being paid, but give him a raise.
