Charlie is a pretty rude person, his time is so valuable that he is disinterested in helping customers with the excuse of he has no time. Cant answer basic simple questions (do his job). People like charlie are the reason that businesses lose money and shut down because he is probably more worried about being on his phone for his whole 4 hour shift then he is about figuring out ways to keep his retail job that requires the absolute bare minimum of effort and skills. Where to start here we go!
I walk in with my PlayStation five perfectly in the box I bought it in. I am very meticulous and usually keep my boxes and open them carefully just in case I resell. I'm a power seller on eBay and I just figured maybe can skip shipping and hit. "EZ Pawn" (before I rant, I posted a five star review for the EZ pawn down the road from this one.
1. I walk in there are four redshirt employees standing around with their arms crossed they all stare at me. I have my PS5 in one hand holding it by its box handle.
I'm staring them all four in the eye at different times and not once did I hear hello can we help you or anything. I looked around to see if maybe there was a closed sign on the door. Anyway, I put my PS five on the counter.
2. Eventually, after me standing there for approximately 10 seconds After putting my PS five on the counter. I wasn't really greeted, but slowly approached by Ronda or something (maybe Roxanne)? Anyway, I have no problem with what people want to do with their lives. But this person was obviously trans. Ok, I don't have a problem with it. I'm just me.
So I'm gonna call he/she "It" for now. "It" comes up and literally rips the box open the top my PS five. Now, those of us who on PS 5'svknow that Sony uses a pretty complicated process and closing their boxes. "It doesn't even look up at me.
I say it's a PlayStation five. The first words I hear out of her mouth were A fire dragon "I Know!"
3. my eyes are wide open because I cannot believe she just destroyed my box that I work so hard on keeping pristine the last five years since I purchased my PlayStation brand new when it came out. (us dorks out there will understand this)
So after she says, I know she slams the box down on its side and then proceeds to rip the box apart further trying to get to the consule.
4. at this point, I grabbed the box away from her and said let me do it please. I'm shaking because everybody (all four employees) staring at me. there's literally no one in the store and I'm wondering if I'm on hidden camera or something. My hands start checking my face in case I have something on it or something. I'm not sure what's going on.
5. At this point, my glorious, "EZ Pawn" experience has been downgraded to an absolute nightmare. My hands are shaking, trying to get the consult out of the box at this point.
6. She/he it? Grabs the console without saying word and rushes off to behind a column where the hdmi port and there tv is apparently. So I wait 10 minutes wondering what's going on if they're switching out my PS5 I don't know what's going on. No one told me anything. (i've been to other EZ pawn 1000 times and walked out the door with in 10 minutes.) for the life of me, I don't know what I did, but these employees stared at me like they were going to kill me the whole time I was in there. (not even joking). At this point, they have my PlayStation five I am literally trapped! kidnapped! I'm scared, I am shaking in my adrenaline is telling me just to run out the door!!! I know pawnshops have guns and these guys look like they are out for blood. So I stand in the corner waiting.
7. "It" returns, saying my PlayStation doesn't work? I told them I owned this since the PlayStation 5 came out. Bought by me. I literally just unplugged it from my TV and put it in his box to take to you.
I said maybe that your HDMI cable. "It" looks up at me. "It" has half their face perfectly covered with hair. So now I'm talking to somebody with hair going down half their face so I'm literally trying to have a conversation with one eyeball wondering what's going on. "It says mothing"
"CHAD" (The genius, tech guy apparently)
Comes storming around the corner!
He pointed me and he says I told you there's nothing I can offer you!!!
Then Chad starts, puffing his chest up, getting close to me across the counter, saying you need to leave!!!
(He is growling breathing in and out, so I can see his nostrils flaring!)
Absolute nightmare! I left that store went to
"Ez pawn" Sheridan I left in five minutes with $150. Shame!

Have had my truck here quite a few months. Just recently I became a few days behind on my payment on accident and my phone service was messing up causing me to miss their call now they are saying I owe them $4,000 to get my truck back due to a late payment lawyers have been contacted. If you have anything personal and dear to you, don t pawn with these guys!!

Johnny went above and beyond to help me keep my tools. Im a single Dad of four small kids and we had a hard time come up. I pawned all of my tools with this ezPawn that I normally use for work to get by. They took extra steps to help make sure I didnt lose my tools and I was able to get them back in no time. I bought a truck from this easypawn over 2 years ago now and still have not received a title they then claimed they had the title but could not get it transferred this is a lawsuit that he truck being inoperable because no tag was hit taken to the scrap yard and they refuse to remburse me for the loss I took on the truck. I have filed a lawsuit against eazypawn and if thier are anymore that have had issue dealing with titles please contact me to join the class action lawsuit

I brought 3 items to this pawn shop and the woman immediately passed on 2 items. A new pair of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses and a MacBook that is 3 months old. She said she wouldnt be able to sell them..LOL really...is this a pawn store or low end clearance store. It looked more like a clearance store. I didnt even bother with trying to sell them the 3rd item after she denied the other 2 items. Dont waste your time going here. Go to Cash in a Flash pawn instead. They will buy your items for a fair price and offer great deals on their merchandise!

Praise God With so many pawn shops up and down South Broadway, its easy to find the wrong one! However, call it luck or Gods blessing, I found the right one and it all started with great service, more so, going the extra mile to satisfy the customer. The prices are fair and new items always coming in, but best of all, they have items that might just be treasures to the right person! Always happy to share a good business with others.

Alexa is absolutely unprofessional and literally cussed at me in front of my child. All I asked simply was to please explain the processing of converting my loan to a layaway due to absorbent about of interest they charge (20%) and I don t want to lose my item with them. It s already an emotionally charged day for me and for her to just lose it when I m just frustrated and on the verge of tears because she isn t willing to work with me. I ve always paid my loans on time and haven t needed to ever do this. She totally could ve handled the situation better there was zero need to cuss at me when I did nothing to her but ask a question about how to prevent losing my item. I do not recommend this place and once my item is paid for I will not ever return to any EZ Pawn they charge crazy amounts of interest so you can never get your items back. Now I have anxiety over whether my item is safe there after my interaction with Alexa. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional to cuss at a person when I never posed a threat or even lost my temper.

I want to apologize to the gals that served me today on 8/15 at around 2-3p, I forgot your names and you were so helpful today. Its never a highlight of someones day to have to get money by getting a loan for a priceless momento from their past just to keep up with bills, just to have to repay the loan later. However the ladies that helped me were not only kind and courteous but they helped me feel better about my day and where I am at in life just by offering natural friendliness and and concern during our interaction. Long time customer of ez pawn and I recently purchased a 07 chevy suburban which I left at work for 6 weeks until I could get it home . Ez pawn is exit 199 and Im broke down with engine lost oil pressure at exit 163 and was told I cant get a refund . That said the 20 plus years of business with these guys is over for me and its a shame that Im left to figure it out and lose 7,000 dollars in the process.

This Ez Pawn has an insanely positive energy. You can feel that the team running it are a unit and they make every customer walking in feel like family. I ve never purchased anything from Ez Pawn before. In fact I ve had unpleasant experiences with other pawn shops. They are dirty and very unwelcoming. However, I seen something that caught my eye at EzPawn and figured I d at least see the price. Not only were they clean and organized but, Alexa was extremely helpful and willing to go above and beyond to give me a fair price for my purchase and just made the whole experience an enjoyable one. Have been waiting to get tony as he has great reviews but I dont think he like the fact I was pawning guns for loans becouse we was just short annoyed and angry with me most of the time, the girl with the dreadlocks is great tho!!! She is always friendly and upbeat with everyone in the store and HAS some firearm knowledge. I normally avoid this pawn shop on Belleview. But I only had 19 mis before my normal pawn shop closed and I knew I wouldnt make it. I was going to wait till tomorrow when my normal pawn shop aaojhmd be open bug I really needed the money bug I dreaded have ok go into the pawn on Belleview. The last few times I went in, there is a staff member who is younger and alof of tattoos. He is the rudest person Ive ever meet , he is always to busy to help and is very rude when yiu ask him a question, or for help. So for that reason alone I avoid this location. But today melody helped me. Very polite and very helpful. She was a breath if fresh air. I will be going back just because of the very polite melody. Now if I see the young kid in there. I think i will get his name and file a complaint. Like I should of done the lSt two times I was In. There. So thank you melody for escorting my faith in yiur store.

Just bought a diamond band from here tonight. I wish I knew the name of guy that helped us! He was so helpful and awesome! Usually, I feel like Im annoying trying on every ring, but he helped and had some great recommendations! We scored on A new jacket and ring! My brother also loves this pawn shop. Horrible business practices. They have no respect for a customer once you buy from them. I would highly recommend another pawn shop. We went to this store as it was recommended. My husband went in and while I was waiting for him in the truck nature decided to call and he asked Antonio and Avery if I could use the bathroom and they were very friendly and nice and let me use the bathroom and not only that they were very good with customer service and the prices. I would recommend this store to anyone. I even went back just because of them.

Would do 0 stars if I could. Horrible service. My partner and I went in to look at firearms and we were turned down after our IDs were already taken because he heard what he heard and since we live together. Those were his words. He shut down the sale due to that fact. We are legally able to purchase and were willing for the background check. Im baffled at the ignorance if that was his motive.

Meh. Dude saw the camera I wanted to buy had a couple good accessories, and literally tried removing things and started looking up their value. Every rebel comes in a kit when theyre brand new, and just because this kit was better than the other he started acting shady about selling it to me. I called him out on his discriminating attitude towards me. Also it was dated to be priced down soon and he held fast on the original price. Ez pawn employees are just dumb enough to keep dealing with. They even asked me to write this review. So, thats my review.

Really great staff, that actually recommended a different pawn shop for me that worked out much better. Great staff, I come here all the time, also very well kept. I recommend this first over other shops on broadway

Sold us saxophone with no neck . Then when there was no way to find it they were only going to give us less than half for it back. Said that we didnt get the warrant that they never offered. Stay away from this store.

They actually work with you especially if you do return business with them. They treat you pretty good fair prices, Good loans.

Very cool staff working there, especially the lady and the older gentlemen. 3 stars tho cause they never give you very much on loans or when youre trying to sell

I went to this store today and there was a crazy woman screaming at the manager on duty!! I felt she handled it very well. She was calm and even appoligized. The lady was upset and screaming but this manager i think her name was mia did really good at trying to correct the problem. After the crazy woman left she appoligized to the customers and helped me. Normally i would have just left if people are in a place acting like children but this woman surprized me with the ability to still smile.I did not buy anything today but she had such great customer service after dealing with someone screaming in her face i was impressed. I will definitely be returning to buy and possibly sell some things.

Excellent customer service. Honest and friendly staff they went out of their way to make sure I was happy!! The manager Hector was great he was able to give me even more than I was offered from his staff which was more than I expected in the first place. The fact that they asked him for a second opinion and he was able to offer even more helped me so much! Having a bad day and being in a bad situation is very upsetting on top of having to pawn my stuff! The staff and the manager at ez pawn made me feel so good and helped me so much Ill never go anyehere else!!

Surprised for the bad ratings...I just came from another shop Pawn Bank where they are rated high and they were extremely rude to me and didnt want to even deal with the deal. Here JT was awesome! Smooth transaction, even received more than I was hoping for... Thank you!

Recently went to this location with a power tool set, looking for a pawn loan. The value of the set, used, and sold in completed listings on eBay was around 600.00. After dealing with a teenager who knew nothing about tools, I was offered merely 125.00. I laughed and left, and headed to US Pawn which happily offered me 300.00. It is like this every time Ive ever tried to work with EZ Pawn. Employees with no knowledge, a company theme of disconcern with customers either pawning, or buying from them, and the absolute worst offers you will find. As a rule of thumb, if they offer you something, double that number and youll get it from any other shop.

Pawn brokers give loans for collateral. This place will give you a loan then show off your collateral to anyone. They have no respect for you or collateral.

Stay away from this crooked pawn shop. They keep changing the price cut day so you wont be able to purchase it at the discount price. I confronted the african american manager about the Washburn travel guitar that I have spotted it last month and wait until today so I could get it at the discount price as said on the previous tag. This present tag did lower the price by $10.00 but it was deliberately changed the price cut day to 5/26/17 instead of 5/4/17. This manager said he did not do it but will work it out. He even dare to discourteously scold at me for bringing it up but willing to give me the cut-down price. I almost made the purchase but with his asshl and careless attitude I walked away.

I have bought a car from this location and have another one on layaway currently. The manager Keith there is very honest and helpful. Does not misguide and listens to bad circumstances. Understands, very caring and goes above and beyond his services. Hard to find honest, caring people like the staff here at this location these days. I recommend doing any and all business here whether it is buying, pawning or selling. WONDERFUL Experience!!!!!!

I will never go to another pawn shop! The staff at this store care more about the customers than the money. From what i understand it is currently under new managment. Keith and Dylan i believe? I cannot stress enough that this is the only real option when it comes honesty and integrity.

This is the kind of place that says one thing and does another. Rod in particular. I had never been in a pawn shop in my life until a friend asked me to do a favor and Rod indicated one thing and then when I came to finalize getting items back, he indicated he did not make such a promise. Ok. I get that there is a way these guys have to conduct business, rules and what not. It was Rods smirk when he denied what he had said that really pissed me off. On the other hand the pawn shop (Premier Pawn) 1/2 mile further north on east side of Broadway was truly professional and courteous. Go there instead. I beg you, do not grace the doors of this place. Ever. You will only leave disappointed if not pissed. I was going to purchase one of the appliances in this last visit too, thank goodness I saw Rods true colors before engaging in another business transaction. Thank you Lauren for trying to make up for it. My suggestion? Get out while you can.

Bad customer service no one even acknowledge you when you walk in the door ...they dont say hi how are you welcome to ez pawn ...what can I help you with nothing dont waste your time .....I called an they didnt even say thanks for calling ez pawn ....they said hello .....like really wow ......go to mister money better ......I went in the pawn shop to see if they will loan me 3000 on my Rolex had all my paper work to say it was real an they told me it was fake like really .....dont waste your time

The customer service at this pawn shop is poor at best I just stood in front of the jewelry counter for 10 minutes with my two year old screaming child not one person would look at me now one person said hello to us when we walked in the store not one person attempted to communicate with us whatsoever these guys really need a lesson in customer service peace out Ill go buy my wife a $500 piece of jewellery somewhere else

These people are the worst to deal with! They lie about there web search pricing to get the price down so they can sell it for more! There is always a reason what you want to sell is worth less! Dont ever sell anything to any Easy Pawn!!!!!!!!!
