Mr. Bain literally saved my job and my life! I am a caregiver for a loved one who has dementia and discovered that the POA I had completed was done incorrectly and was a very serious road block to me being able to get the outside care my loved one needed. Spending almost six months trying to get a reverse mortgage to no avail Mr. Bain and his team, including the always helpful Ms.Laura Ervin were able to secure the reverse for us in just a few months and I will be forever grateful! Allow me a few moments to share my experience with Christine and her team at Fairway Independent Mortgage . . .

First off, I am a millennial, first time homebuyer and the market--particularly in the neighborhood that I wanted to buy in--is incredibly competitive. Christine was recommended by my real estate agent but I was sure to do my own due diligence to compare Christine and Fairway to other brokers/lenders, including a credit union I have a long standing relationship with. Christine easily established herself as the most knowledgeable, candid, transparent, accessible, responsive, supportive and caring broker and, without hesitation, I can say that she earned the referral from my real estate agent and she earned my business, my respect and my friendship.

With buying a home, especially during turbulent market and interest rate fluctuations, you want to feel like people are working on your behalf and with your best interests in mind, and I was able to feel this without ever stepping foot into Christine's office. I really can't say enough about Andy and his team, they were amazing from start to finish of the whole process. You can tell that Andy knows his profession and the industry extremely well. Every time a hurdle or potential issue came about with my loan he was immediately working on finding solutions; it was never a road block to stop the process, just something for him to solve. His team did an amazing job at specializing and customizing solutions tailored to my goals. He was very good at communicating and listening to what long term vision. He helped me make decisions and plan a road map of getting to where I needed to be. He also helped me with figuring out the order of things and timing. I was able to get a lower rate than expected, and I think he really did an excellent job at presenting me to lenders in the best light possible. Buying a house is never easy, especially when you are moving from one state to another. So much information has to be sent over the internet as well as all the questions you have. Matt and Mike from Fairway made it so much easier. They updated me with what was going on as soon as it happened. They were right there to let us know what to expect next and what we needed. I never felt like they were rushing me and I felt very relaxed about the whole process. We closed on time and I never once felt like pulling my hair out! The team was super fantastic!

As a third-time homeowner in 3 different states, this was by far my best mortgage experience to date. Christine Stirling personally made homebuying an absolute joyride. Fairway (specifically worked with Scott Bushlack) was wonderful to work with, and Id definitely recommend them to others!! I was in the middle of the closing process on my new house with one other bank when I needed to switch to a different bank due to poor customer service, lack of transparency, and a very large extra charge trying to be added from the previous bank. Scott offered me a great estimate that was better than my other banks quote, and I was about three weeks out from closing and Scott guaranteed that they could get everything processed in time for closing as long as I was able to quickly get them the documentation they needed. It was a risk switching banks that close to closing, but I had no choice. Fairway saved me and got everything processed in time for my closing date!! They even had a small paperwork delay/mistake when I was signing everything for closing, and Scott called me to sincerely apologize right away and inform me of what happened and Fairway gave me a generous gift card for the inconvenience! They had very good communication through the entire process and were very respectful and had great customer service. I would definitely recommend them to someone else and would use them again in a heartbeat!

Mike OBrien was terrific to work with. He called and emailed often to check in and update us on progress and keep us appraised. We are first time home buyers and had no clue what we were doing. Mike was very patient and explained everything and walked us through every detail (usually multiple times) so we could understand it. Wendy was a great resource! She was always available and communicative. She is detail oriented and very well organized. She helped me stay on top of things and gave me all the tools, advice, and information I needed as a first time home buyer. She is extremely knowledgeable and was excited and willing to help explain and break things down for me. Being first-time home buyers, we had a lot of questions. Julie was very patient in explaining (and re-explaining) each step of the way. Other lendors we tried to work with sent back form emails and estimates and didnt respond to questions, but Julie was always available for a call or text or email to explain something I didnt understand. Julie also worked with us through a couple of unusual circumstances that came up at the last minute and ensured we could close on time.
