Earlier This month i was challenged with an outdated, closed account that was in the negative.
i went in to the N. Academy Blvd location in Colorado Springs and Brianna Schad took great care of the situation.
She thought about a solution to help and replaced the outdated account with a new checkings account in no-time , she saved my original debit card and linked to new account; all while shining a smoothing, comforting smile full of love , care and effectiveness.

Every single time I come to this office its always the most professional courteous service imaginginable everyone is super friendly and helpful and cares about their people... Ms. Deborah assisted me with sending a wire and made sure I was not falling for a scam or about to lose 3K... she did it in such a way that I didnt feel like she was talking down to me or condescending in anyway and that means alot to me and Im sure others I will bank here for life.

Leslie Roebke did an Incredible job opening a bank account for me. She was extremely nice and very knowledgeable. She was able to explain that there was no minimum balance for a checking account and I would not be charged a fee for that account and thats the perfect bank for me. I was truly amazed at the level of customer service they displayed, not just towards myself, but other customers before me. The services they offer alongside their accounts, is epic! Mobile phone protection on top of your own mobile phone protection . Identity Theft reimburstment, discounted savings at the gas pump, roadside assistance and other discounts just for being a member. I came in to cash a check given by another member, and decided to open an account for myself so I could also reap some of the benefits. As far as stars... Its a 5 for me

I was referred to Security Service by James Hutchings who got an appointment set up for me to come in and meet with Matthew Orabuena to open up a checking and savings account. I was there for approximately 45 minutes but Matthew took the time to answer every single question I had and even more. He was very thorough, and very polite. He then took me up to the teller and even the teller was super nice! I am confident that I will love this bank and refer as many people here as possible. Alissa was amazing n had amazing service, and informed me about a product that would make me more money, and helped me get my banks linked within credit unions. I live in Alabama n will continue to keep my accounts with security service!!! Leslie was awesome and extremely knowledgeable in customer service and support - She was very helpful in providing wealth information about account terms and conditions and how to manage my finances in increasing the interest rates on my account and sharing investments - She explained rules to cover transactions which the law doesn t allow - and last I have a ATM card and the locations where I can use it without having to pay users fees - No one comes close to Leslie when it comes to customer satisfaction and loyalty and quality at the SS FCU Colorado Springs!

As soon as I walked in I got the welcome home family vibes. Service was over 100% & I ain t joking! I went there to open a bank account & got assisted by Brianna S. HIGHLY recommend! she gave me all the information I needed & also helped with online banking, left me with no questions in the end. I was too stunned to speak cause I never ever received such great customer service at a bank! Even the manager was awesome, she took her time to represent herself. They are so friendly there and everyone I came in contact with had a let me help attitude which is so nice compared to other banks I have to deal with. I walked in to the Security Bank expecting to be looked at crazy. I was carrying 1500 dollars in 1s and 5s Ive been saving for years. Even though Im not a member of their bank Tremell told me it would normally not be something they do, but he would do it for me anyways. Im glad I didnt drive across town to my bank and am seriously going to look into opening up my account here. Everyone was extremely polite and treated me as if Id banked here forever.

I am veteran and when I visited the Academy Branch on Saturday to replace a lost card, I experienced a severe panic attack. I notified the counter staff that I needed to return to my car and if they would be kind enough to let me when to come back inside. To my surprise, one of the staff named Anna came out to my car and very graciously handled all of paperwork for my replacement card. I cannot thank Anna enough for her kindness, understanding and professionalism. She is truly an amazing person and a great employee of SSFCU who went out of her to assist a member. My heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Anna, she made a difference in a difficult situation.

It was worse services in this location. I stop by to get a car loan and update few information and seating waiting area for get a loan but unfortunately I left without talking them. Here was waiting but she put one of client in to office and she was starting talking one of mexican for good 15 mintues and insted of let him know I have client waiting and rest of clients waiting setting area she was continue talking to him even we was first come for services. She finally let him know after 15 minutes. That was just didnt feel right and I wont get a loan from them.

NOT YOUR AVERAGE BANK! SSFCU offers a more personal experience and unique products! I was going to consolidate some of my accounts and minimize the number of financial institutions that I deal with. I walked into SSFCU with the intention of closing my account, only because I hadnt used it much in the past year. The teller I worked with, Ann, was curious as to the reason for my departure. She wanted to ensure that I was getting all of the benefits that the bank offered. I appreciated her sincerity and her attempt at retaining my business. Ann explained to me the benefits of their Power Protected Checking (a $9/mo option), which provides $1600 in mobile phone protection, ZERO Copay Telehealth, and 24/7 Roadside Assistance, just to name a few! Brooke, the Lead member was standing by and took over to assist me further with my accounts. Brooke helped me open a business money market savings (a savings yet you can still write checks!) with a yield of 2.5%! I had no idea a product like this even existed! Brooke helped me open 2 new money market accounts, close 1 business checking account, all in about 10 minutes, and while engaged in our conversation! She was super helpful, knowledgeable, and exceptionally proficient. A welcome break from the norm, the personable and helpful staff at SSFCU makes banking a breeze!

They are an awesome bank. Their credit repair program helped me a great deal in getting my first credit card through them. Never had one before then. Ive since qualified for several others since then. Couldnt be happier with any other bank. Only thing that could make it better is if they offered the get your paycheck 2 days earlier than payday feature.

Brook was very, very patient and answered all of our questions and took the extra time to make sure that we understood before moving to the next step. I just want to thank her again and again from the bottom of our hearts. We are both 83 years old find it very great to have someone to talk to when we have questions. We would recommend Brooke Martinez working at SSFCU to anyone that need assistance or help in the scope of SSFCUs operation.

I went in yesterday for just one item, but James, Nichole, Ophelia and Brooke(and one more person whose name I didn t get :/) helped me out with so much more. They helped me move into a better savings account with higher interest, saved me $ on insurance, saved me more $$ with a warranty for my car purchase, and just overall treated me great! I have recently had multiple health issues and decided to open an account at this location for a few different reasons and when i went in i was helped by a wonderful young lady named Leslie, who apparently is newer although you wouldnt know it. She is very knowledgeable, very helpful and incredibly personable. She took the time to explain things and get to know me and make sure i understood everything. She was in a word fantastic!! And the branch mang Joshua was amazing also. The rest of the people there were very kindhearted including Brooke. If you need anything id regards to banking i would definitely recommend this branh and definitely recommend Leslie

Jonathan, the assistant manager at the 1910 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO branch went over and above to help her and was able to resolve the issues. I had an appointment to open a new account. I had to sit and wait 25 minutes past my appointment time. Got the account opened with no issues until I went to make a deposit. The manager tried to tell me I owed money from 19 years ago. He confronted me about this in front of other customers. I told him I had no idea what he was talking about and that even IF I did owe the money that statute of limitations had run out. He continued to harass me trying to get me to pay. I find this very strange because when the account got opened they ran my name and approved me for the account. Why didnt this come up then???Anyway, I told him to close my new account and that I will NEVER do business with them again. Not only was this humiliating- I lost almost 2 hours of my time. This was the manager who treated me like this. I would be very cautious about doing business with this joke of a Credit Union.

I have been with SSFCU for many years here in Colorado Springs and wanted to share my experience. The team at the branch and at HQ has always been warm, knowledgeable and willing to go out of their way to provide great ideas and customer service. I use them for business and personal banking among other financial services and have always had a positive experience working with them. I actually dont mind going into the branch and working with their team. That alone is very uncommon in todays world. Thanks SSFCU!

While customer service was very friendly to open a new account, I was clear that the express purpose was to transfer funds from my checking in Europe, where I work and live most of the year, to a US account to pay my US bills. They negleted to tell me that 1) they dont have a SWIFT number, so I have to pay a $20+ intl wire transfer fee each time! and 2) I cant transfer any funds from my SSCU account for the first 60 days, meaning I now have plenty of money waiting in there to pay my bills, but now all my bills will be late because I cant make any transfers. After losing more than $60 in wire transfer fees, for nothing. Thanks a lot, guys; I will be closing my account as soon as I open one at a different local credit union that has much more reasonable banking terms. Mananging all this from overseas has been an extra headache I didnt need. Please be clear about your terms up front next time.
