I came in to withdraw money because I needed a better interest rate. And the teller, Jared, not only knew that there was a new certificate that would give me the same amount of interest as the other bank I was going to move it to. But that it had a no penalty withdrawal which meant I could put even more money into the certificate! Super grateful for such a knowledgeable teller like Jared helping me out!

No stars if possible!!! Customer service is incompetent on procedures and policies! Nothing is done the same and depending on who you speak to and what they feel like or dont feel like doing, has had great effect on my life! I contacted customer service regarding fraud charges on my account. Because it was a Saturday, I was told the dispute time of 7-10 days would not start until Monday. A response letter would be mailed after that time informing me of the outcome! I will pursue the merchants myself! Time to find another bank!

I really wanted to like PMCU. For decades, Ive banked with credit unions. When I moved to Boulder, PMCU had great rates and friendly pricing structure for their services, plus friendly people. Yet, the performance of several employees with whom I worked has been prone to errors. Their IT systems have also been prone to errors. I have never felt this frustrated, run around, mis-informend, and under-informed in a banking relationship. I have decided to close my accounts there, with the exception of the home mortgage that they own. During that mortgage process, there were often communication delays for unspecified reasons. Again, nice people, just unusually error prone performance. We missed the contract date for an official underwriting decision; they kept saying we were approved, and would be officially approved soon, and not to worry about the delays--and they were right, we did get approved--but we did not have an official approval letter from them by the contract date which put our earnest money in jeopardy. Our lending office frequently would not respond to messages and stated she wasnt involved in the process when I could get ahold of her. Direct questions to the lending team would go unanswered, and they generally wanted to avoid putting anything in writing in email, opting instead to call us with news and updates and declining to send written summaries of the updates unless I insisted and then later sent email saying they had agreed on the phone to send written updates that I could share with our realtor. We would be told one thing, a few days later a different thing, and then yet another thing--all complicated because little was put in writing. I was later told by a branch employee that we would not be able to use the funds we had deposited in our new PMCU account (required as part of their underwriting) for closing in four business days, because our account was too new--I insisted on talking to a manager, who corrected the tellers statements and we were able to use the funds. Then the small business account I opened with them literally disappeared: they couldnt find my accounts tied to my business and my credit card merchant could not deposit funds. The customer service rep said she would contact IT to figure it out and call me back. I never received a callback. The next day, I could see the accounts were available in the online dashboard, and when I got into a communications runaround with no explanations and more excuses for communications problems. One thing after another, after another, after another. Ive learned my lesson and am leaving.

I would seriously rate them with negative stars if possible. These people are completely incompetent. I have a near perfect credit score and they ran me through the ringer and changed my loan terms at least 3 times for NO reason. THEN they said my loan had expired when I had just talked to them 3 days prior to confirm the loan details, AND this happened while we were sitting at a dealer trying to buy a car with the loan we were approved for. Stay far far away from these clowns unless youre up for a huge PITA!!

A few months ago this credit union robbed me and my family of 6 out of 5,000$. When asked how it happened, they had no clue. When asked how to get my money back, no help at all was given. You re safer putting your money in a shoe in your backyard than trusting any of these branches. I banked with them my whole life, and this is the treatment I get. Terrible service! If interest rates werent so high we would refinance with a different institution. We pay all of our bills electronically EXCEPT PMCU. We can submit payments but they dont process them for 2 weeks! Resulting in a late charge. We typically pay additional funds on Principal, they are confused by this and apply the mortgage payment to the HELOC which results in a late charge that we have to have reversed. PMCU used to be well-run. That is clearly not the case. When I make electronic payments to any other business they are processed the same day. For the last 20 years, Ive a PMCU customer for my personal banking needs and have been largely satisfied. I recently decided to start a couple of businesses and looked to premier for my business account needs. After wasting almost three weeks, I was very surprised and disappointed to learn that while premier states they support small businesses. They DO NOT support new small businesses as they have very little to offer a business that has existed for less than 2 years. This leaves me no choice but to take my business accounts elsewhere. I expected better.

I would leave a zero star review if possible. I had an auto loan with PMCU and payed it off early. They still have not released the lien on my car or sent me my title even after calling 6 times. The bank VP Steven Cox would not do anything to expedite the process or help with the situation or allow me to talk to any leadership at the bank about the situation. Some of the poorest customer service I have ever seen and i guess i still do not own the car I payed for. You all should be ashamed of yourselves :(

Horrible experience! My Gap insurance company sent a final payoff check on 12/18/2019. On January 15th I called Premier as it still was not applied. I was told it did not arrive yet. The very next day it was applied and I was charged $77.79 of additional interest! When I called back to complain, I was told the check must have just arrived! I believe my phone call for someone off their Butt to check the mail!

Times have changed for PMCU, and not for the better it would seem. Most of the bad reviews come from long-standing customers like myself. I wonder if the credit union is happy with their rating as they certainly do not seem to be doing anything to change it. Since the merge from Boulder Valley Credit Union (BVCU) relationships with customers seem broken, and the credit union is running more like a bank now, especially with loan approvals. There was a time I appreciated that PMCU was willing to work with me, to work with anyone. My accounts have been in good standing since they were opened. PMCU was there for me as BVCU when I transferred my loan on my 2000 Ford Explorer to help rebuild my credit. This is the second time Ive tried to apply for a type of car loan with PMCU since I moved from Colorado, both times during the Black Friday special that is typically run in November. Both times I was denied. I am a little hesitant to try again. I feel like the credit union is falsely advertising. Unfortunately, the very reason why I applied for the loan is the very reason I was denied. This was not a revolving line of credit that I sought, and yet the denial reasons I got were indicative to this. That should have seemed directly obvious, but lenders are not looking beyond a list of excuses to give. PMCU is not exempt from this anymore. In speaking with a good friend about this whole experience, he told me that the banking industry has changed over the years since the housing crisis, that someone in the banking industry told him that only people who dont need the money are getting approved for loans in current times. I had hoped that PMCU might still be different as in times past. I have a lot of thinking to do in the coming months, including whether or not I want to keep my accounts open with PMCU, even if it means transferring my credit line to a different account with a higher APR. There really does not seem to be a cut-above advantage anymore at PMCU that should be keeping my business. Whoever responds to these reviews from the credit union - please do not tell me to get in touch with anyone through a private message. I already have emailed a loan officer and i dont anticipate that it will make a difference!

Paid off my Home Equity line of credit with Premier, and their collections department sent delinquency notices to the credit bureaus for 2 consecutive months, claiming a $7 balance. This dropped my credit score from 800 to 650. I spoke to several Premier reps who confirmed the balance was zero and paid off correctly, and denied that they reported to the credit agencies. Finally a supervisor acknowledged the issue was their fault, but said there is nothing they could do and that I need to file a dispute with all three credit agencies - extremely disapointed.

I purchased a car from R&D Motors in Longmont, and on our paperwork it says that this credit union is assigned to our loan. That car lot has apparently sold us a car with no title, to make a very long story short, we are about 2 weeks shy of having this car for 7 months with NO TITLE. I live in Longmont and am still paying on the car loan at the Premier Members Credit Union on Main St. They told us that after 30 days of no title they send out a letter asking for it, and after 60 days they will send out a letter demanding one, so why is it that you guys have not done that? I don t even understand how you can sit here and still be charging me monthly for this car when you guys don t even own a single piece of paperwork on it. Shady dealings from them and shady dealings with your bank as well. This is so wrong and illegal I can t even believe how long this has been going on for.

Horrible customer service. Seriously, I want to love this bank...but everyone Ive ever dealt with in the 4 years Ive had my account has been either overtly rude or completely ditzy/flaky. This is not a well-run business. A few days ago, I went in to make a deposit. The customer in front of me finished his transaction and the teller said, So, do you want a receipt or something? In the most annoyed voice ever. He replied Um, yes. Could I please? She made an annoyed sigh and said nothing as he left. My turn came, and I said I wanted to make a deposit and order new checks. Okay, she said flatly. Then silence. Trying to navigate the transaction was like pulling teeth. When I asked about transitioning away from my larger bank (where most of my money is), she was super rude to me--cutting me off mid-sentence, being totally unhelpful--I decided to just leave. Seriously. Theres no reason to walk into a business and be treated that way. Ive never overdrawn my account, never been a difficult customer, never asked for anything special from them. Its not like its just one teller having a bad day. Ive had terrible experiences each time Ive been in the bank over the last 4 years. Every. Single. Time. Getting ready to find another credit union.

DO NOT BANK HERE!!! I am not one to write a review, let alone a bad review. I have been a member of BVCU for nearly 20 years. I loved BCVU. They were wonderful, personable, and attentive. Premier Members Credit Union is NONE of these! Since the take over by Premier the service and attention has consistently and rapidly gone downhill. I would cite many issues that have occurred over the months for clarification to help readers and this bank understand and perhaps work towards improving (like their misleading on-hold message espouses), but I have NO confidence it will make ANY difference. The last straw was a simple transfer. I have been trying for over 7 days to transfer money to my son who is traveling. The transfer did not go through and now they are blaming it on my sons mishandling. They have promised day after day to look into the matter. NOTHING has been resolved in a week. They have promised day after day to call me back and let me know what was going on. They did NOT. Now they are saying it will take 7-10 days to resolve this matter. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! The bank told me repeatedly that the transfer went through. It did NOT. Then they said that the money has been taken out of my account and they dont know where it is. HOW CAN A BANK NOT KNOW WHERE MY MONEY IS!? Now they are saying the money is out of my account and finally acknowledge that the receiving bank does not have it, but neither do they and it will take over a week to put the money back into my account-the money they lost! If I could give this rating negative stars I would. I am frustrated beyond tears! DO NOT BANK HERE!

I hate that people only leave reviews when theyre mad, but PMCU lost my business today after 10+ years with BVCU and I hope this helps keep others from my frustration, mildly damaged credit, and undocumented property. Lets be clear: BVU was a great credit union, but Premiers IS NOT BVCU. Ive never dealt with a company with worse communication. Since the PMCU acquisition/merger being a customer here has gotten worse and worse worse in every way I can see. Here are three significant gripes which are only some of the reasons Ill be closing my accounts and transferring my cards after the holidays: 1) Scheduled Online Payments Not Processed for No Reason, Ding on my Credit Report: I opened a credit card with BVCU for the ease of automatic online payment from my checking to my credit card. Then they became PMCU and made the website worse but the bill payment seemed intact. Two months ago it stopped processing those bill pays. It still shows in my account as an automatic bill pay scheduled for the 12th of the month, it just doesnt transfer the money. Stupidly, I assumed the payments were still going through. I only discovered my credit card was unpaid when a Teller pointed out to me that it was a month past due. I was mortified and paid it immediately (My first late CC payment since I was a kid!). I was told it wouldnt be held against me, but according to Experian my credit DID take a hit this last month and I know for a certainty that was the only late bill Ive had in years. 2) Buying a Home Loan: When my wife and I went to buy our first home I still thought of the place as BVCU so we walked in with our excellent credit scores and jobs to buy a mortgage. We were really grossed out by the loan officer, who started the application by telling us to apply for more than we could afford. And kept telling us. Wed spent time on the math to work out our budget and we pointedly asked her if there was some kind of minimum loan cap of 250K. It was like a curtain went down behind her eyes. She quickly became pessimistic about our options and ended the meeting saying that shed work on our application and get in touch when she was done. but we didnt hear back. I left 5 voicemails over the next 3 weeks. Shopping around every other loan officer in town -including at other Credit Unions- were helpful and responsive. A MONTH LATER, after wed gotten a loan and were house-hunting, a different loan officer at PMCU emailed saying shed be honored to have your referrals. It was offensive at that point. It was like my loan fell under a sales-bonus threshold so my business was unwanted and my application tossed in limbo until someone happened to clean out their junk file. It felt really lousy. 3)I Paid Off My Loan. Where is my Car Title?: I paid off my car loan November 1st of this year. Id confirmed before making my last payment that my Title would be automatically processed to me with receipt of that last payment, but could take up to 10 business days to arrive in the mail. It didnt. I called two weeks later and was told there was no information but that someone would hand pull the file to see when the Title would mail out and call me to confirm. Of course, I was never called back. As of today, I have been waiting over 6 weeks for my car title. I called again today and this time the representative on the phone said she had no idea where my car title is and saw no notes on it but that someone would call me back in an hour. That was earlier today. Exactly 2 hours before I started writing this review, in fact. No one called me back. 3 hours later I called and was forwarded to a voicemail. I called back to account inquiries and was told my Title mailed on 12/1, over 2 weeks ago. However, when I called on 12/2 there was no information and this morning there were no notes on my Title. Given my experience with PMCU so far and that it doesnt take 2+weeks for a letter to cross Colorado I feel confident I was lied to about that mailing out already. DONT. BANK. HERE.

Not only did they report a false late payment to the credit bureaus, they also refused to remove it from my report. Then after the dispute, have not reported ANY payments since, further blemishing my credit score. I have 500+ on-time payments including 5 auto and 3 real estate loans in total, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with this bank.

Run.... far far away.... This bank is unethical and crooked. We had nothing but problems with them from when we first financed through them. We were so happy to finally never have to deal with them after paying our truck off early. Well, here we are 3 years later and went to get another title printed to sell it and Boulder Badly has a lean on it until 2020. Theyre a nightmare on all accounts. Would never use again or recommend to anyone.

Once you open an account there is absolutely no concern for your concerns, answering your questions anything about your account. I normally used my card or ATMs if needed. When I actually had to contact them for interaction it was horrible. Put on hold for extended periods then actually being hung up on manually. No return calls by bank managers or anyone for that matter. They literally just dont care for the doing the business part of banking. Only simple day to day transactions. This is after the merging with Premiere, I am not sure if that has any relevance to their functioning.

What a horrifying experience I have had today. The merger and the dissolving of Boulder Valley Credit Union has come with a tragic degradation of service. Irritated, staff, have given me hasty and unprofessional service, talked down to me and gave me the brush off over a complicated situation. I have had an account here for a long time and I am switching to a different bank first thing tomorrow morning. I dont trust them with my money or assets anymore.

I have never written a review because most times it is a one time experience. This is an exception and I want to help people who look to reviews to make decisions about using a service. I was a member of BVCU and loved them, always exceptional service and friendly. Since they changed and became Premier Members Credit Union, I have disliked most of my experiences. I suggest that anyone interested in using this credit union please read the reviews for Premier Members Credit Union not Boulder Valley Credit Union reviews....they seem to be completely different now. Their back office processing department is a slow and painful experience. I sent in a request to transfer money from my savings account to my bank account on Wednesday afternoon because they could no longer do it over the phone. Today is Friday 1:00 PM and it is still not processed. After a long long wait and two more phone calls I find out they have not even began to process it and it will be Monday (who knows) before it is sent to my bank. Also, they now charge a $10 fee for transfers which I guess is reasonable. When I sold my car to a member of their credit union, he wrote me a check from their credit union and I tried to deposit it into my account in their credit union. I was told they would need to put a 5 business day hold on the check before it could clear. It was written on a check from their credit union to their credit union! I could have just gone up and cashed the check then turned around and deposited the cash into my account, however the teller would not let me take the check back and cash it. It took a couple of days to get someone in management to help with the situation and it got resolved. I needed to go out of town for two weeks and the other party needed to get the car licensed so they could drive it. Just do your homework before making a decision to use this credit union. They may just be going through growing pains since BVCU changed to PMCU, however they will need to make some major improvements.

I am so disappointed by the degradation of service and increases in fees at Premier Members over the past few years. We have been members since 1990, and appreciated the small feel of the organization. Now that they have merged and merged and expanded and expanded, it feels like a fee-happy giant NYC bank who cant be bothered with customers/members. Its a shame. Time to find another place to bank.

There is no bank number/routing number info anywhere on the website, so if a business call is made at work, unless I have my initial paperwork or checkbook that I never use, Im out of luck.
