Fantastic credit union offering everything one could need. From mortgages, to savings accounts, to free notaries (for members) and free document shredding (for members) their team has you covered. Their parking lot is huge and there are tons of shaded spots. Don t have time to walk in - use their drive through. There are frequently two staff members sitting near the front door to help guide you to your appointment or teller. Tellers are friendly (my fave is Rosa) and helpful and their beverage machine is top notch. You can make anything from a flavored seltzer water, to a dove chocolate hot cocoa, to an espresso or tea. The machine actually suggested I ramp up my hot cocoa to a peppermint one - and suggested I add some peppermint tea - how creative. They are highly involved with the community sponsoring outdoor movie viewings and guiding you along through the seasons. Today I saw a map and guide for fall leaf peeping that even included suggested stops for food and shopping along the route. If you are looking for a place to hold your money or request money for a big purchase (speak to Chris Cullen & his team) definitely check them out!

My wife and I are members of the credit union co-op, which allows us to use any co-op branch anywhere, including this one (in theory). My wife is a joint owner of our account. Elevations refuse to serve us, in this case a small cash withdrawal, because I did not have my ID. My wife had hers, she was on the account. I answered every security question they gave me. Still refused us, told us to drive 20 mi to another credit union. They were at least quick in their ability to do nothing.

They make it impossible to sign up for account alerts if you overdraft, the banker cant do it and it must only work from a computer because it wont let me do it from my phone. They rejected a check from my grandma because she accidentally postdated it December 2024 which Chase would never do so I just dont deposit anything in my account here unless its from my other account anymore. I just deposit a check from my other account now to pay my car loan and they put a hold on it every time now! In addition, when I found out about this because I didnt get alerted that it wasnt accepted, when I deposited a check from my other account to cover it they put a hold on it for 4 days. So Ill definitely never use this bank again for anything except a car loan.

This has been my bank for 30 years. I have enjoyed excellent service from with Notary Diane Sawyer. and Sara Belkin as needed. Cashiers are friendly and efficient as are those answering the phone. Another area of excellence are those who respond when I occasionally experience loss, fraud or theft. Recently my new card arrived at my apartment in Paris within 2 days. Thank you so much! That said I am lowering the rating because once again there is a problem with retrieving my statements of recent years. I am told I have a joint account. Its not a joint account.

I have banked here for years. I came to them after a bad experience with Chase. I even had my child and mother join. Well recently they updated to got a new system for their transactions. Before this system I was able to set up my payments for bills to come out on the day of payday no Issues. Paycheck hit and about 8 am to 9 am they would release the bills. Now with the new system I am able to see my paycheck earlier (up to 3 days), but they also post some bills earlier causing a NSF fee. They do not see the issue with this. They state it is real time. However, if it is real time, if I go to Walmart and over draw they give me like a hour or two to make it right. Why not the same courtesy with my paycheck. Do not bank here. I am moving my funds. Here I am again. Now they are taking money out of one account and putting it in another account when the bill is pending for a future date. The bill is supposed to come out on the 25th. It is pending and today is the 22nd and they took monry out of my savings to cover the bill and left me with a zero balance. How does that make since. Do not bank with them period. I am over them and have filed a complaint.

PLEASE stay away from this bank, it has cost me more time and money than I thought I would ever even spend here. Moved every dime to firstbank this morning. Horrendous, horrendous banking experience at elevations. Its honestly appalling to me how poorly the bank is run. Since theyve switched to the new app/online system (same as before just different UI), 80% of the time I log in my account becomes locked and I have to reset my password, even when I enter the correct password. Prior to the new online system, Ive had quite literally countless experiences where elevations has not allowed me to spend the money in my account. Automatic bill payments (that have worked for months or YEARS) are declined, spending limits are imposed on my cards and altered constantly without my approval or even awareness. Ive called THREE times now when attempting to make a purchase on two separate cards, twice the employees kept me on hold, telling me they were looking into it, for 20-40 minutes until the cards department was closed, then told me I was out of luck until the next day. The other time, the employee told me my limit had been changed to allow the purchase, I re-attempted the purchase and my card was locked for attempting to surpass the limit. No I could not unlock the card, I needed to wait for them to send me a new one, which of course took forever. PLEASE stay away from this bank, it has cost me more time and money than I thought I would ever even spend here. Not to mention my brothers encountered fraud with his account 3 times now.

Derek and Bobbie are amazing. Im with a different credit union and use Elevations as my shared branch. I tried to deposit a check that my boyfriend had signed over to me from his boss. A couple hours later I find out through my bank that they dont accept 3rd party checks. This would have caused the check to be denied and a whole lot of other problems. I went back to Elevations and they managed to cancel the transaction on both ends and I got the check back. Thank you so much to the front desk person, (I didnt get her name)Derek and Bobbie!

Diane Sawyer is our model of a trusted banker. She is so caring, so knowledgeable, so personable. When we got caught in a scam, we dealt with another banker at Elevations who didn t walk us through enough guard rails. Caught a second time, our son sat down with Diane to go to bat for us. Since then we have met with Diane multiple times. She had extensive knowledge of scamming and worked with our family to put security measures on our account. We recently saw her because one of the measures stopped coming. She put that back in place and also contacted a colleague that the solution needed checking in order to work. We are very grateful to have Diane as our contact person because of the caliber of her assistance.

Reduced branch hours (M-F only), reduced & restricted access to their ATMS and a pervasive cant be bothered attitude in customer service. Baseline branch s incorrect hours posted on their app & website is just another in a line of disappointments in this declining relationship. The final straw after decades of trying to endure and support what I thought was a community institution is their overzealous $31 overdraft fees for simply declining the transaction. Their cumulative actions demonstrate that they DO NOT hold the communitys interest at heart - its all carefully crafted messaging & marketing to gain members but no further than that. In reality, theyve become increasingly greedy since buying out CU Credit Union and now are just another bank posing under the label of a credit union delivering subpar performance to its longtime members.

I applied for an energy loan and submitted all of the necessary documents. The loan team was very communicative before I submitted everything, but once they received it, I heard nothing. I had to email and call three times because days were going by and I had no idea if I was approved for the loan or not. The solar company that I was working with kept asking me if I was still interested and Iall I could tell them was that I was still waiting for the Elevations to contact me. It has been 6 weeks since I applied and there is no reason for approval to take this long. My credit rating is excellent, I have no debt and the amont I asked for is under 20K. I once applied for a refinance loan in 2016. The mortgage team that I worked with was excellent and the entire process took no more than 3 weeks. I dont know what has happened to Elevations since then, but they have gone down hill. When I finally contacted someone for the third time, the answer was, Ill have to check with the RENU department to find out if youve been approved So, still no answer. Very unprofessional! If you are in need of a loan of any kind, go somewhere else. Youll be much happier!

This is the worst Credit Union you can ever possibly be involved with. I had an account with them for 20 years BEFORE the transition to Elevations. Once that happened I have been trying to close the accounts that I had with them for years. There is always some extra step or some hurdle to do it. Today 1.7.23 I was made aware that they started charging me a $30 fee on an overdraft account that hadnt been used in 20 years on a checking account that was supposedly closed years ago. The late fee of $30 on a $30 charge should tell you all you need to know. Now they are telling me I have to dispute this with Credit on my 820+ credit score. Steer clear of this place. You will never be able to get rid of them.

About a month ago on 05/17, I visited your branch on Iris Street, Boulder, CO. I was inquiring about exchanging EU for US $. Before the words had even left my mouth a millennial-aged employee who was training another, told me that your bank was too small to offer that service. End of conversation. I then visited two other banks, and while neither of those could help me, either - as you need to have an account with them - each greeted me warmly and one went so far as to Google other options for me. Fast forward to June 11th where I transferred money from my PayPal balance to my Elevations Checking account. I got my usual confirmation from PP saying the funds had been deposited and should be available immediately. Hours and hours and hours later, with no sign off that deposit in sight and having reached out to PP twice, I reached out to your bank. Only to discover that not only was the error on your end, but you had not even bothered to notify your customers, whom you refer to as family, of the issues you were experiencing with your credit card company. And how no one could access fund on their Elevations Credit Card because of it. Not even a banner on your website notifying your customers. This is appalling customer service, or lack thereof. What if I had been buying groceries? What if I had tried to pay for a rental? Not only would I be out thousands of dollars, in the latter example, but I would not even know why. Why would you leave your customers hanging? Financial stress is horrible. I chatted with Lisa in your customer support, and there was no guarantee of when I would have access to my funds. I emailed Elevations regarding my experience on 06/11, and Janelle Pullen read it but never responded. Today the same thing happened regarding another PayPal transfer. All day Ive been waiting for my funds to become available or, at the very least, to receive an explanation from the bank as to what was going on on their end. As Ive received neither from this super laissez-faire bank, Im packing up my toys and moving to Chase.

Utterly appalling customer service, a lack of technological ease like every other institution we bank with. For example, needed to put travel notifications on my cards for foreign travel. It took less than a minute doing it online with my other banks and credit unions. Not with Elevations. I literally had to sit on hold for an hour, listen to sales pitches with bad music, pay attention to press 2 every minute or so to be able to continue holding and listening to sales pitches (which made it impossible to focus on other things while sitting on hold), and then when I got someone on the line they said they couldnt help and made me sit on hold another 45 minutes and I still havent been able to get travel notifications set so I can use the cards. I think well be closing our accounts here. And, if you want financial services: home loans, HELOCs, etc. - be prepared for disaster. The team has degraded at Elevations. The only saving grace may be Greg Roller when it comes to mortgages but we dont bother dong anything in terms of financial services any more because theres only one Greg. Appalling. Weve lost the faith and no longer tell friends, colleagues or others to bank with Elevations. Horrid.

I ve heard horror stories from other members of their entire balance being transferred out and having non sufficient fund fees applied. It took months to get it resolved. It s a shame to see this bank go down hill so fast. Look elsewhere for a bank.

This is by far the worst financial institution Ive dealt with in my life. I started working with this institution on the recommendation of a colleague, but have had nothing but problems. I have a good standing with several accounts (not by choice mind you, but based on policies) and every time I call, the customer service that they have outsourced is unable to help. They constantly have to have someone call me back to help me and no one ends up returning my call. Asking for explanation on policies, I get the response of because, which is unhelpful. hey have high interest rates on loans relative to many other places and are unwilling to work with you once they have you as a customer. Elevations Credit Union is not invested in their customers. Ill be taking my business elsewhere as soon as I possibly can, I highly recommend you avoid this credit union at all costs. Theyre OK for very simple things, but once I got into more nuanced situations, I really lost faith in them. The onsite Liberty Mutual Insurance rep they use set up a policy with a > $20,000 deductible on our home for twice as much as a regular policy through All State, on top of mis-entering my name on multiple things. I also used their CUSO financial advisor/retirement investor for a while, but he didnt seem to actually have my own financial growth in mind over his commission, and kept trying to push me on this really weird life insurance policy setup. Any time I tried to do a Roth IRA conversion, the people in the branch office had no idea how to go about it, so itd be a multi-day ordeal every time, as well. Im aiming to just pay off the house loan for my rental that I have with them in the next few years and move away from them entirely for my next few big transactions.

Spoke with same financial advisor or useless person saying give it time its just a small mistake it will be fine, telling me to keep the car. Later spoke to the dealership, asked me if I give some cash as down payment till things get cleared up. Desperately I gave whats in my wallet as good faith. Still no word from the elevation without any explanation. Maybe I will return the car after week since I cant afford it. The dealership hands me a invoice for $1500 for keeping the car for a week. When I asked about the down payment of my cash, they shrug me off and said there was no down payment at all. All I am saying is that I hope this doesnt happen to the next people stay alert. Take your business account needs somewhere else! I have a business account, personal account, credit card, and a mortgage at the bank at Elevations in Boulder, CO. Their business support and IT department for business needs are highly unprofessional and disappointing. I hear Bank of America has great business banking. Im moving there after this week of horrible service. I really wanted to give my business to a credit union, but more than that, I need to be able to trust and rely upon my bank for my business. I have been locked out of my account for 4 days. I have called 5 separate times, tried the online chat, & have done everything they said to do. They say that the IT Department can only handle the business online banking. When I call member services, the people who answer the phone say they cant help with business online banking, just personal online banking. And that I cant directly talk to the IT department about this. So today I asked to speak w/ a supervisor. He said it typically takes 1 business day to unlock accounts (this still seems like a long time), he apologized, said all the right responses, and that he would put my need to the top of the priority list for the IT department. He said they would call or email me and it should be this morning but definitely before the end of the day. That was at 9am this morning. It is now 9pm. Nothing has happened.

Overall I love this bank. Really good financing options. They have great rates and are very straight forward and transparent. For personal banking it is very, very good. They don t try to sell you extra accounts. Pretty ok customer service. They need to train their people a little better. Vivian is not the best person, don t like working with her. It is not good for business banking. They have this policy where they won t deposit checks with variations of your name. They also charge fees for small businesses. The people that they recommend for credit card processing are very good. 2 stars for business and 5 for personal.

I checked in at the front desk today at 4:28 to get a bank card replaced and was told 5-10 min. Waited 25 and asked what was happening Allison at the front desk tells me I m next. A man come from the back and calls a different person up. This place HAS BEEN GOING DOWN HILL FOR SOME TIME NOW. keep giving bad service and you will keep getting the bad reviews.

After opening an account with these people approximately 2 years ago I went in today to withdraw my $100 only to find that they had taken all of my money in fees charged to my account (for inactivity) and then closed off my account. Disappointed that no one there thought to actually give me a call about the matter. I own that its my own fault for not having read the fine print that closely. Many people in town that I know have told me its a friendly neighborhood bank. But after my experience here today it does seem to me that this bank has demonstrated otherwise. At the end of the day whats important to me is that I put Trust in this institution to do the right thing. Perhaps I misplaced that trust and they are really just another bank trying to take your money. They certainly took all of mine.

Do not access them for student loans, interest is high and all extra payments do to interest based on 20 year repayment vs principle. Outrageous, so making lots of extra payments paid 20 years of interest of future interest!

If I could give this location 0 stars, I would. When I complained about the wait, the young girl behind the front desk dropped the f*** bomb on me. Too bad, because I have always been treated decently at the Longmont branches.

I had an appointment to talk with a financial advisor about opening a retirement account, got to the branch only to be told I didnt have an appointment! The older lady at the front desk had told me four days prior that she had me down to see Patrick. When I arrived Melissa told me I didnt have an appointment and that Patrick was all booked. I asked if there was anything she could do, maybe see another advisor, I had been looking forward to this appointment since I booked it. She said NO. Since she wouldnt even offer what could be done her attitude came across as arrogant. Since she and Patrick obviously didnt want my business by not even offering a solution they were also condescending. This has been the worse experience dealing with a bank! Ever!

Elevations Credit Union in Boulder is awesome and there is no one better than Cameron White-ford for home loans and refinancing. They are responsive, have the best rates and the least amount of red tape. They have in-house underwriting which can be really important to the home buying process. Thanks Elevations!

Despite their claims to help first time home owners, I was disappointed when the Elevations mortgage staff was unwillingly to provide a simple GFE worksheet to compare mortgage costs among other lenders. Seemed to be too busy to take the time to provide important load details, so I took my business elsewhere.

Elevations was the first bank I ever used. Been a member since the early 90s. Staff has always been friendly but after zero help on unauthorized ACH transfers Im closing my account. There were no security checks in place which allowed the withdrawals to occur without my knowledge. An oversight on my part, coupled with their lack of communication and urgency in resolving the matter resulted in their policy on dispute resolution to exceed their date window. Instead they simply shifted blame and washed their hands. As a result, Im out nearly $800. Mobile app is terrible. Website isnt much better.

Elevations has become more and more difficult to work with. There hold times are lengthy (15 min plus) and despite their claims that you can do all banking on line - its not true. I am traveling abroad and needed to change access info on my account and was unable to do it. I had to call back during business hours- it ended up impacting my travel plans and cost me a lot of extra money because of the delay. Totally frustrating!!!

Mike was recommended to us by Darryl Sobering, a fellow Keller Williams Realtor in Longmont, for a mortgage for our daughters first home. Jean and I have been in the real estate business in Central FL since 2001 and have worked on hundreds of real estate transactions. Mike and Ann did a great job for us and among the best mortgage lenders we have worked with. I wish he did business here. We would love to recommend him to our clients and work with him again.

I have been with Elevations Credit Union for over 10 years (I signed up as a freshman at CU when it was the University Credit Union), and have been so pleased that despite moving away from a branch, I still bank with them even though I have to use member branches for my daily transactions. I recently had an experience where I deposited a large amount of cash to a member branches ATM and was given an error message and the cash not deposited to my account nor returned to me by the ATM. I contacted Elevations, and from start to finish they handled everything for me. I had attempted to get the issue resolved through the member branch (not Elevations Credit Union) who essentially told me there was nothing they could do nor an answer they could give me as to where the money went (the worst answer a bank can give a person). Meredith in the Elevations Credit Union fraud department gave me the service that was the opposite of what I received from the other credit union. She assured me it would be resolved (even if they ended up having to eat the loss), and she did get it resolved. Every transaction and interaction I have had with Elevations has been top notch, and my experience with Meredith highlights that. Because of this experience, and all prior with this credit union, this year I will be refinancing my mortgage so that I have it through Elevations and when I trade my car in, my loan will be through Elevations as well. It is so important to know that if something bad and out of your control happens, that your financial institution has your back 100% and will get the issue resolved- and this is exactly what you get from Elevations; top notch customer service and a financial institution you can trust.

Was great for a while. Came around on hard times, and they informed me I was not allowed to have simply $25.00 in my savings account. They did me a huge favor and drained my balance on a monthly basis until it was at $0.00 (simply for keeping the account open). Now I take my banking/financial needs elsewhere. Bad idea to kick your customers while theyre down.

I recently bought a car for my daughter in April of 2015. Elevations was the chosen bank by the car dealer to finance our load. It has been my experience that most CUs are all about the same so we signed all the paperwork. My experience with Elevations has been ... well, less then horrible. I received a welcome letter 2 weeks after we bought the car totting how great they were and how pleased they were that we had chosen them. The next contact was the first payment was due that day and that I needed to make a payment NOW. I never received instructions on how to make payments, no coupon book ... nothing. I called and made the first payment. I tried to change the address so that my daughter would receive all the statements and such and they flat out stated no. I was on the loan and they could only send the information to me and that the car had to be kept at my address. After another week the letters started about needing proof of insurance NOW or they would add $500+ to the loan so THEY could buy insurance. In all the loans I have had with cars, I have NEVER had to do that. I would give them my Insurance Company and account at the time of the purchase and that was it. These letters have started up once again to log on to show proof of insurance. We get that taken care of. I moved to Washington and have all mail forwarded. I tried to call them to change my address and they stated that I can not do it over the phone. I would have to either log on to the account and do it or send them a letter by snail mail. I tried to log on but can not. I called their number and the only way to get a password change was to send a notarized letter. I was able to go to a local CU to move funds into my Elevations account and have had to call them once again. They were able to move the funds from the account to the loan but they are still refusing to change my address. I only hope that my title is forwarded. If you have any other choices, do NOT choose Elevations. It has been the worst banking experience I have EVERY had.

I love Elevations! Employees are very helpful, they are not for profit (credit union), they are local rather than corporate, and I actually find myself trusting the people who work there. On top of that, no account fees and I can withdraw money at any other credit union without paying a fee! All in all, completely different than banking with a corporate bank.

Go to a national bank. The customer service with Elevations is worse then any national bank you will come across. They have some very odd ways of handling things. I feels like working with a mom and pop back that what to get as much money out of you as possible.

Im not sure how this bank gets negative reviews. Ive had a lot of experience with various banks and have never had the level of customer service that I get with Elevations. Time and time again theyve shown compassion in situations that they didnt have to do anything at all. Ive never been less than happy with this bank. I dont personally know anyone else whos anything less than thrilled as well. I appreciate that they are picky about to whom they make loans to as well, as Im not comfortable with the ridiculous lack of oversight by commercial banks. Keep up the great work, Elevations. You have everything and more that the big box banks have.

The concept of banking with a local credit union is fabulous. Unfortunately, the reality of the customer service, knowledge and professionalism at Elevations is a different story. My husband and I have had several bad experiences with them in the last few months - enough that yesterday I pulled all of my accounts and moved over to First Bank. First of all, we refinanced our loan through them and the mortgage officer erroneously told us we needed a first and second mortgage, which would have cost us thousands of dollars (luckily WE caught the error). Their receptionist/greeter has been rude to us on several occasions. When my husband opened his account there the banker he was dealing with at the time was working on several accounts and gave my husband someone elses ATM card, which he didnt notice for several days. Finally, they have recently had a computer changeover which was supposed to make it possible for me to open multiple accounts but which didnt actually work. I called my bank representative twice in a 10-day period to resolve the issue and never heard back from her to help me resolve my concerns. I think what is most upsetting is that with the mortgage banker and my bank representative neither one actually took responsibility for the situation and apologized for their errors. Everyone makes mistakes, but it is how those mistakes are handled that are important. Our mortgage banker blamed the mistake on hiring a new assistant and having too much work. The bank representative blamed the mistakes on the people working on the computer system and the fact that she was too busy to call me back. So, good riddance Elevations - its really too bad that you are giving local credit unions a bad name.
