I d have to say the customer service here is top tier. I have been to a couple other pawn shops where the energy was a bit snobby, but not here I came in today to pay the interest on my item and Damion assisted me I was under the impression that I would lose my item if I didn t pay the money today, I expressed to Damion that I d be back next month on the 3rd to pick my item up and he was SO kind to tell me oh no your ok keep your interest and your item will be here and you won t have to double pay double the interest I really like to say I appreciate that so much that he had integrity and not accepted the interest twice although not a lot of money it was a blessing to keep that money as I have been having a little bit of a hard time past year! They are really nice here and a really awesome store. I would just say they re a little inexperienced two times I brought in stamped gold from estate sales. They told me it wasn t gold and would pass. I ended up selling it down the street at the other CASHFORGOLD spot.

Boy did I find a GEM! Pardon the pun But seriously this really is a hidden gem in Santa Monica. I wandered in and met Alex. The absolute best! Super informative and helpful. KIND. Which is unfortunately rare these days in any business. We discussed design which he was very well versed in. And he clearly articulated the process of selling your designer or rare items outright vs. their LOAN option. Which is something i had not encountered anywhere else at a place on such a high caliber and expertise. It s an incredible option because you can still get paid out on a VERY fair contract. But not have to part with your beloved items forever. The entire process is extremely efficient and seamless. Again. Unheard of these days. I HIGHLY recommend taking any items you are thinking about selling here FIRST. Before anywhere else. You will not regret it. I am now a customer for LIFE. And have shared with all of my fashion friends. Thank you Alex! And side bar. All of the staff there are lovely and kind. And seem happy to be there. Best discovery in Santa Monica!

I do not recommend this shop. they told me they would take my trike after I showed him pictures of it then they said it was too big. After that they told me they would take my helmet for my trike because it was an advanced helmet again that was inaccurate they told me they had to scan my ID what can be scanned can be manually entered but they did not want to do that do not trust them do not go to them.

Debbie has always been my lady when I want to sell something. She was there when I was going through a difficult time and gave me a good deal. I cleared out my closet and found another unwanted items from that difficult time so took it to her and sold it. Cleansing my mind and my space. Other staff are always nice and helpful. Didn t get the young man s name but he was great!

Great experience, Damien was professional and offered me a fair loan option for my items. While they were being valued I enjoyed viewing what was for sale, the show room was clean and organized. After visiting another local coin shop with my mother and being scolded out for not wearing the face diapers in January 2023 over 3 years after the Plandemic, we had the pleasant welcome by Debbie at Santa Monica Jewelry & Loan. The prices are just as good if not better and much friendlier vibe here. We got some nice Canadian Maples and a few different silver coins. No pressure, a very pleasant experience!

Great service and atmosphere. I had never been to a pawn shop before but was looking to have some silver coins tested. I was immediately welcomed and accommodated when I walked in. They were happy to test them and give me advice on what to look for when seeking new coins. Damien was especially helpful and friendly. Was in a pinch needed some liquid cash. Went in and the staff here took excellent care of me. Fair prices for your items i got a loan against some jewelry items. The payments are made easy as they have an app call and send reminders. Not like other places that try to slick beat u out of your goods. Helen is the sweetest. I pop in if im just in the area and her staff is A1 secured location too!. Always feel in good hands. If u just have questions walkin in or call they are good at this.

This might be tmi but I walked in on a whim as I was trying to cope with the passing of a loved one. I truly believe that the right person/people come into your life when you need it. For me it was Damien. The fact that he was sympathetic to my situation (when he didnt have to) and even helped me with some musical therapy while checking out guitars and amps; truly is a kindness I will never forget. When Im ready to pick up a new guitar, Ill make sure I come back to their shop and see him. Bottom line: I highly recommend the shop and I immensely recommend Damien, not just as an representative but as a person.

Horrible shop. I bought a small 14k gold chain and a piano/keyboard a few months ago. Just had my personal bullion dealer of the last 5 years tell me the chain is 10k and only clasps are 14k. Total scam store. Get valuables authenticated before buying here. Ill never return.

In some of the most dire Financial situations of my life, the team down there on Broadway and 4th in Santa Monica oh, well, they were near to a family for me. Also although most of my items have been low ticket, they have all range of items for sale, from analog film cameras, to Inga bars of silver and gold. Truly a wonderful place to find some amazing Treasures. There have even been in a couple of times when I was late on paying my ticket oh, and they could have claimed the item. They literally called me while I was in Mexico, and gave me a chance to extend that item. Unbelievable customer service, you will not find a better place in all of Southern California, let alone Los Angeles. Thanks again for saving my a** on multiple occasions.

Ive only dealt with Sam through offerup, and I forget the name of the staff that helped me in person. However, all of them are super helpful, responsive through the app and great to work with in person. I always stop by and check out their inventory of precious metals as the online prices have gone through the roof, and they remain reasonable. Highly recommend this spot
