They made a huge mistake by taking money out of my savings account to pay off a car loan that I asked to be paid off with another account and they took no responsibility for what they caused me. They said they would listen to my call, although they made me feel like they didnt trust what I told them; I had to wait for their response. Since they didnt, I had to go myself and now they say that they did the right thing!!!! That is incorrect!!! What is wrong with them???? YOU SHOULD NOT TRUST WHAT THEY DO!!! Like they wouldnt finance my loan because a car I wanted was 156,000 miles, like really only 6000 miles stand between me and having a way to get to work but the worst part... they kept saying the one person who could tell us that, was on lunch 3 seperate times the same day. Kept giving us the run around a by the time they said they couldnt finance us it was too late to go to any other dealership and look. So I would say hire staff that wants to work or atleast doesnt take 3 hour lunches and also maybe just maybe have more than 1 person whos competent at a time

Terrible bank. I m with the United States ARMY and I got a direct deposit from my orders and they held it for 7 days when other soldiers in my unit that had wellsfargo and chase got there direct deposit 2 days early! They don t call back, their hold times are ridiculous. Do not use this bank. Also they use over draft fees while they hold your money that is pending. Very poor service.

Edwards Federal Credit Union came to us as an opportunity for us to patronize our own local establishment. The excitement has been on the decline since its inception a few years ago due to poor services to the customers. Customer service is almost unreachable over the phone. Online bank is the worst of any bank you can think of. The most recent banking app and website change is the worst ever. Usernames dont work anymore, customer service put you on hold for 45 minutes, you try reseting password but system still shows error. This bank should provide better service to the locals or just close so that something better can emerge.

Been going to this CU for decades. The service these days is unbearable. They like to stop credit card transactions and when you call to correct the issue, it takes an incredibly long time to speak to someone. Definitely getting a new credit card with another establishment . Also, there doesn t seem to be enough tellers half the time. Not sure what happened to this CU but we are going to begin moving all our finances to another company. Just sad what they have become. Had an account since I was about 12 years old.

Horrible customer service. Came in with my dad because they canceled his card and supposedly sent out a new card but he never received it. Teller said they were going to print out a new card for him and while it was printing she asked him to wait to the side so she could help other members, as there was a long line behind us. She continued taking other members, finished the line and other people walked in so she continued helping those new people. We waited an extra 40 minutes because she continued taking the new people that walked instead of finishing what she started with my dad. Finally another teller asked if we had been helped and finished things up. It was absolutely ridiculous! What should have been a quick 15 minutes took almost an hour because he was pushed to the side and forgotten about.

Yeah, I hate to say it, the reviews are valid. This place is awful. We never received our cards for our new account, we could never access our account online due to website issues. Login credentials were always wrong. There is not enough tellers, takes forever to see someone. I remember standing there waiting while the group was in an office with a glass wall so we could see them all just hanging out and chatting. I instantly regretted the decision. Closed our account and will not be returning.

Absolutely the WORST bank ever! DO NOT USE!!! They DO NOT process requests at all (not just delayed, they just dont do them). They dont answer their phones. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but not one thing have they completed correctly. Requests for paperwork and loans are so bad that it took me threatening to report them to a Federal agency before they fixed their errors and addressed even the smallest issues. Robbers! They illegally stole my money! I had mobile deposited 5 checks. I checked back a few days later and my account showed that they had been *deposited*. The checks were *not* in a holding/pending status. Therefore, I made 6 purchases. EFCU *stole* 6 NSF Fees from my account. I contacted them and they agreed that I had the funds at the time of purchase. They agreed to reverse them and told me it would be a few days to see it. I checked back a few days later. Only 3 of the 6 had been reversed. I called back and was lied to (that it wasnt their fault and the checks were still on hold). She continues to lie so I asked to speak to a supervisor. Of course they were not available. *I have screenshots of the deposits being in the account before the Fees were taken.* It was better when they were still small town banking.

Who is running this bank!!!!? Tellers are rude and few!!! Lines are huge and disorganized! Theres never a host to welcome you. Terrible Bank! Worst consumer practices! BEWARE. Dont hold enough money in either account, thats a FEE. Dont have enough fund sand an auto-draft transaction takes place, thats $29 a transaction fee. If you have a closed account, theres a $5 fee for each month of statements if you request them. So if a company makes multiple auto-draft attempt within a couple days without my permission and theres 6 attempts at $29 a pop, $174 you owe Edwards now. Edwards wont waive that, not their problem, they have money not you. Theyre one of the few Federal Credit unions that doesnt have free transfers to other Federal credit unions. Their mobile app is terrible. Edwards has the worst customer friendly attitude and policies. Ive held an account with them for almost 30 years (had other banks as well) and I will NOT RECOMMEND this bank to anyone. Greed has consumed this small-town bank.

Be aware that if you join with Edwards, you have to jump through a lot of hoops to even get helped on an issue. I called the fraudulent detection line about my blocked debit card twice now and the first representative told me to call the credit union during normal business hours so I figured I would do that. So the next day I call them an hour before closing to fix this issue and I had to wait on hold for over 8 minutes just to be transferred from one department to the other, they transferred me 3 times before transferring me back to the fraudulent detection I had called the night before and told me Sorry, in order for us to help you, you have to come to one of the locations during business hours. So I ve had two full days without my card. Not to mention in the past, it took me weeks to even get the full benefits of my bank account just something as simple as activating my visa on my card took way too long because of simple mistakes. The online website is kind of confusing at times, but its ok once you figure it out. Other than that, the customer service is very bumpy and things take way longer than they should with them and it can be very aggravating, being told sorry or being told to wait more or come in person when my hours aren t that flexible during the day.

Never can get anything to go smoothly here always has some rule or some way of saying sorry we cant do something. I honestly think the people here are trained to say sorry just because they dont know how to do the task. Like Ive had to deposit checks and transfer and all sorts of other stuff and every time I have to go to a different bank or some work around because this bank just knows how to give big fat nos. Its gotten so bad I consider just closing the account but I question how much hassle I wanna go thru to even do that. Went over the schools first and they instantly cashed that check that couldnt go thru because they needed 50 different ways to verify its me. When I first opened a credit card account, I enjoyed a huge improvement on my interest rate. Later, I purchased a vehicle with their loan program and got a great interest rate again. Seriously just downright terrible. I cant ever get there online system to work so I keep going back inside the bank and they keep telling me to just sign up and login in. You cant... ive tried so many times. The only registration is bulsht. Its difficult to access your funds. My daughter moved her account to Chase after the held her check from a well known entity in the Av, for 21 days. 21 days without her payroll check. I hate that they moved and my only choice is to drive to an entirely different city than where I opend my accout.. I do not like that they removed the drive through teller option, I have a disabled dependent and it is difficult maneuvering through the heavy doors with him. The most irritating thing that has happened recently is I can no longer cash my sons disability check that has my name on it without opening a totally new account. They need documentations to do this but amazingly none of people can tell me the number of the documentation that I need to request from the government entity. We have been members for over 25yrs and I am now considering moving to First City or Logix across the way from Edwards FCU.

I went in to get a new debit card (mine was just cancelled due to suspicious activity) and update my last name because I just recently got married. First, their card machine was not working so I couldn t get a new debit card. They could send one via mail, but that would take 7-10 business days. Second, I brought my marriage certificate AND my new social security card and they would not allow me to update my last name because I didn t have an updated ID yet. However, I had my old ID and an interim ID that was provided to me by the DMV indicating the change of last name. They still would not allow me to update my last name. I said to them, So I need to come back to get a new debit card, with my old last name, and then come back to change my last name on that debit card once I receive my updated ID? That makes a whole lot of sense. This was super frustrating and a waste of a trip. If you need to get a new debit card, I would suggest calling prior to see if their machine is working.

I was with Edwards Federal Credit Union for years with a total of 4 paid off auto loans. It s a disappointment the amount of issues I had with them and the wrongful doing of alleged past dues that weren t true and ended up dinging my credit but fortunately with proof I was able to remove but still a awful and stressful time removing. It s unfortunate that I couldn t hold the relationship any further and that particular department that handles these type of accounts should be further audited and revised before loosing more existing and future clientele.

If they had negative for stars. joined Edwards January 2020, So far this is the worst bank I have ever had and I had thought chase had sent me through hell before joining. This bank illegally holds your money for no reason. I have had multiple cards printed that doesn t work or I can only buy $5-$10 charges that s not going to do anything for a person like me and my lifestyle. The person who put the account on hold hasn t been answering the phone about the hold for over 2 days and specially in the middle of a pandemic and I have bills I need to pay. Wow, reading through these reviews I feel like I should write something different lol. Ive been a member going on a year now. So far its been a pleasant experience. My reason for choosing this bank is I wanted to get a Personal Line of Credit which they offer. After getting denied the first time, I worked on my finances for about 6 months and tried again and got approved!! This is a smaller bank but Ive never had any issues with them and Ive been going in a lot more recently. There really is no difference than me going to a big bank like Chase. The only issue I have had is when I recently wanted to deposit a check and I had to wait 4 days for it to clear because of the amount. A week later, I took a check from the same company to Chase, and they could have cashed it out right away as the funds were immediately available. Its a good thing they are fairly close to another and I can just drive to each if I need to. Ill would definitely update my review if things change but 5 stars from me so far.

Ive been with this CU for 20 years. They used to be an excellent CU but everything went downhill after they started charging service fees, eliminated Saturday hours and went to a new computer system. I wish they would go back to the old computer system, access to my accounts is more convoluted and requires many silly clicks just to get to it. The old bill paying system was much better and easier to use. Tracking payments in the new system is frustrating. The old system was easy to transfer funds, the new one is confusing, especially if theyre not the same account. Ive always enjoyed using the Quicken download feature to reconcile my accounts but that went away. You can only download a CSV file or a MS Money format (they went defunct quite awhile ago, what gives with that dumb idea). I now have to spend about an hour just reconciling my account at the end of the month. Emails go unanswered. EFCU, you folks really are dropping the ball and soon I may be dropping you.

I used to love this bank, however the changes have made them as a bank less marketable. I have only been a member 7 years but this last year was horrible. They always have system issues. The new app although good in concept always gives me errors. But, what gets me upset is it takes them forever to deposit my direct deposit checks. Ive had to wait days to access my funds. They have no care that you have bills to pay. Then when you call if your lucky not to wait over an hour its always a the system. Its always the system. You got robbed on your update, you need to regroup and fix it or jump ship before all your customers do.

Step in the wrong direction! Debit/Credit Cards: About a year ago we were made to switch to a new type of card. The new card had the smart chip in it and they stated it was for better security. Within 2 months or so switching to the new card, someone stole my card number and ran up some charges better security. When I called to report it, they told me that they no longer deal with fraud at the bank anymore (happened to me about 10yrs ago). They gave me a number to call to create a claim. It took almost a month to get my money back (it used to be within 2-3 days)! Going back to the better secure card, the new company they switched to does not support android/Apple Pay. I called them every month for 6 months and it has been the same answer (if they actually relayed my info), we have to speak to the manager, they will talk to the manufacturer and see if it is possible. By month 7 they sounded like they were tired of dealing with me because they said that you will get a notification when its enabled because it is a major feature to enable. Loan department: My recent auto loan I was told they no longer do the .5% deduction for auto withdrawal. They told me that they stopped doing this and automatically give it to their customers, though the rate was exactly the same as my older quote (my credit hasnt changed). Their rates are still better than others (due to being a credit union I assume), thus the reason I gave it an extra star.

I got a cat loan from these people some years back. All was good until I missed two months of insurance payments. They tried to charge me $2,000 for missing two months!!! I called the California Bureau of Insurance and got refunded over $1,300!. NOW they are saying I owe for an entire year. What scammers. They always send me stuff for life insurance... imagine my kids trying to collect that! This place gets a fat ZERO from me. Theves... if I hadnt pursued the issue with the state they would have just kept my money. Deal with these crooks at your own risk.

If I could give zero stars I would: For some unknown reason EFCU decided to change account numbers without prior notification. All of a sudden, after over 25 years of being a member, I was starting to see rejected auto payments. I called them and they said, Oh, all of your account numbers have changed. Youll have to change all your auto payments to your new account number and will need to order all new checks. I signed up to have everything delivered paperless. I never did receive notification on-line and I certainly didnt receive notification via post. I changed all my auto payments and called this strike one for EFCU. A few weeks later, I ran into another issue with a rejected auto payment so I tried to call EFCU over 1 hour before their closing time. I literally listened to a ringing phone for over an hour. No one ever answered. Luckily, the company that had my auto payment rejected was very understanding, but I still had to pay a $7 rejected payment fee. Thanks a lot EFCU. I have multiple accounts with EFCU and everything I do is on-line. EFCU should have put a pop up banner on our on-line account that notified us of the pending account number changes. They sure were quick to let us know that they were going to start charging fees (that later was not implemented). So, why not let us know that our account numbers were going to change????? SO FRUSTRATED. And then you wont answer the phone??? Whats happening to our Credit Union? Strike two EFCU. Beginning the search for a New CU in the event of strike three. UPDATE: Strike three today EFCU. You are Outta here. Today, I found out that they rejected my husbands direct deposit. With mine coming this week I physically went into the Edwards Branch. The teller proceeded to tell me that they didnt change my account number despite me showing her evidence from my husbands employer that they did. She finally went in the back to find out what I was doing wrong. I havent changed anything in 26 years. I know I didnt do anything wrong. She finally came back out from the back and told me that my deposit will not be rejected. No explanation, no apology, no we are so sorry for the inconvenience Maam. NOTHING. FINE. Moving my accounts elsewhere.

Very disappointed in this place. I had heard so many wonderful things about it that I opened a regular savings account. Trouble began last Summer when they changed to chip debit cards. I was never notified of the change and tried to use my atm card and was denied. I was told that a mailing went out in the Spring of 2016 advising of the change and all old cards would stop working on a certain date (I am unsure of the shut off date). I had to wait for quite a while to get the new debit card. Fast forward to April, 2017 and I receive a statement stating that I had a $15.00 maintenance to my account. I called their call center and was advised that my account did not have a minimum balance thus the charge. I was stunned as my account DID have at least a minimum balance. I then go to the Lancaster Office and the people there did not know why I was charged. They returned my $15.00 and I closed the account. I believe the main problem I had with them was communication. I rarely received a statement from them. I dont know why.

Ive been a memeber for 10 years with this bank and always had great service with them. If there was ever any issues they were quickly resolved. Fast forward to the past 4 months and everything is gone to hell!!! It first started with them RANDOMALLY putting a block on my card while I was out shopping, I called the bank to find out what was going on since I had more than enough funds in the account, they told me they had a new card policy for processing debit payments that I HAD to agree to or I couldnt use my card any longer..... ughhh sounds like I have no choice?!? Fine, whatever I agreed told them do whatever they had to to unblock my card. They did it then told me I was free to use my card. Another try at the check out line proved wrong. It took 30 mins of phone calls to get them to unblock my card that had the security block placed on it after THEY had denied my first transaction. Then a couple weeks later I deposited a check into my account and was told my check would be placed on hold as my account didnt meet their standards - again Ive been a member for 10 years and never had this issue before I asked if it was some new policy or something? They said no, I just pay bills too quickly after depositing money ummmm Im sorry Im a single mom working hard to pay my bills, thats kinda what bank accounts are for, depositing money then using it to pay bills!!!! So last night (3weeks later) I go to use my card at Walmart and have it declined another 45 mins of calls and being passed around shows that because Walmart tried to process the payment as a credit by mistake some MAGICAL automatic block was placed on my card that no one can take off. Its done by the system and couldnt be removed until after midnight, I was however assured it would be removed by midnight..... here I am 10:30am the following day and its still blocked and no one knows whats to do or how to get it off!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don t know what happened with this credit union, I used to be able to withdraw 1600 a day, and they were open on Saturdays, I assume in an effort to save money I am now only able to withdraw 500 a day, which wouldn t be a problem if they were still open on Saturdays but there not. So now it takes 4 days of withdraws to move money to my other account as they do not open their doors for business until 4 hours after I leave for work, and close 2 hours before I get home. I will be closing my account since they no longer value there customers time.
