Sweetest family owned place, high end but took care of something not in their realm. Joe the owner is wonderful. Loved having a conversation with him. Very knowledgeable. Restored my Squash blossom Navajo Pawn necklace with great care and respect. (Some out and retuned beautiful!!) Also shares a great Turkish coffee.

Use caution with this company. I am not one to post reviews, but after my jewelry being switched out and being lied to straight to my face, I have to share so others can avoid what happened to me.
I brought an extremely sentimental necklace in, to have one fine broken loop fixed. I was told it would need to be sent off to be soldered because it’s so fine and delicate. I go back to pick up the necklace, pay, put it on and leave. I have worn this necklace every single day for almost 8 years, and it immediately felt different when I was inspecting in my car. It seemed significantly longer, as it hit around 2” lower on my chest than before, the chain didn’t have the same feel between my fingers, and there is a small VERY THIN bracket that is inscribed “14k XL” at the clasp that was positively NOT there before. I can bend it with my fingernail and there is no way it would have lasted this long, as I never took it off.
I went back in right away and asked the jeweler about it. Immediately the lady who also worked there scurried to the back in a nervous way (she knew). He acted confused and changed his story multiple times, switching if it was sent off or not, and landed on that he did the work in house (after definitely saying he sent it off). I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe someone else did this. He claimed there is no way that it’s longer. “Why would we make it longer?”…meaning like how would that benefit them? The guilt was showing. I showed him photos of it previously on my neck, where it was clearly at the neckline of a t shirt. He lied straight to my face when he knows good and well that he switched out the chain without asking me. There were two tiny knots he took out to my request, and he blamed those for the whole 2 additional inches to the necklace. Knots so small that could not be undone without surgical tools. I left and went checked our order for the necklace from 8 years ago. And imagine what we found? An order for an 18” necklace, and what do I have now but a 20” necklace. Those 2 inches appeared out of nowhere. My main worry is that I now have a subpar chain that will not last as well as what I have worn daily for 8 years. Who knows what this necklace actually is now?
Stay far, far away from this company, unless you don’t mind being robbed or taken advantage of. Should they have been honest and called me to discuss replacing the chain, I would have been open to talking about it, even despite it being extremely sentimental. Instead, they did it behind my back and lied to my face. Just be HONEST. Thank goodness I did not leave anything more valuable with them for upkeep as I was considering initially….no one should. Absolutely despicable.

My goodness what an absolute FIND Ozel Fine Jewelry is! I had been on the lookout for over six months for simple, small huggie hoops in white gold. I went to stores in a number of cities and no one had them and that was that. When I walked into Ozel s one Friday evening and asked about the hoops, they told me that there were so many sizes and styles that they didn t carry them in in store but could order pretty much whatever I wanted and I d have it in a few days. I showed them what I wanted and they found it in the catalog. I instantly said those were the ones I wanted and they said the hoops would be there in three days. On the third day, I got the call. I picked them up and they are PERFECT! I am very excited to finally have these hoops!! Thank you Ozel s for your quality jewelry and superior customer service!

My girlfriend and I went in on a Saturday afternoon just sort of looking.We met Dana and she was gracious and helpful bringing out each ring my girlfriend liked.James walked by and was very friendly and courteous.My girlfriend and I looked at several rings then went on our way.She kept speaking about one ring in particular.On Monday I went back to the store Alone and was met by James, I kept looking for that ring. Honestly couldn t remember it exactly so James called Dana and she remembered us and tried to direct us over the phone but I couldn t put my hand on it. I left my number and the next Dana called when she was in , I might add she wanted to come in on her day off when I was there.She remembered each ring and we finally found the one .James offered to size it that day and let me cut to the chase .We are engaged and she was blown away by the beauty of that ring .We will have to stop back in , I missed the size by a half My fiancé absolutely loves this ring and we will always be loyal to our friends at Ozel s!!

I ve visited Ozel s in Palm Desert numerous times over the last 5 years. I discovered it when I was looking for a ring to commemorate my 30th birthday. Joe had just the right piece. I wear it every day. The designs Ozel s has are unique, elegant, and classic. There s something for everyone. Joe and his family treat you like one of their own. Joe and his family at Ozels were so nice and sweet! We had a lot of fun and they were so helpful, I found the diamond I ve been looking for! Joe showed me a packet full of big diamonds and I chose the one I liked! He set it into a ring from the case while his wife, Lovely Lillian, made me a delicious Pink Drink! I m so happy, he is making me a diamond tennis necklace and matching tennis bracelet and I cannot wait! He also took all my old jewelry on as credit towards my tennis bracelet and necklace. I just picked up my ring that had to be cut off for surgery. I thought it would never be the same. I ve brought other pieces to Ozel, and they have done such beautiful work, I knew just where to go. Omg it s more beautiful than it was when it was new. This ring is an heirloom with our family s diamonds. They re not large stones, but they are so gorgeous. Ozel s took such good care with my very special ring.

I visit palm desert during the winter from sweden and I feel comfortable leaving my jewelry with Joe for repairs and all of my purchases. Ozels has a large variety of watches and European style jewelry. Here in Sweden I m on a waitlist for certain Swiss watches but Joe always gets me the watch I want and very quickly. We always have fun in his shop! Trustworthy family.

Ozels is amazing at what they do, and have the absolute best customer service. It is a family owned business and all of them are extremely knowledgeable and can craft any piece you desire. I have left multiple pieces with them to redesign, and have left extremely happy with the final piece. I trust them completely. This place has an amazing value for money, and I truly wouldnt trust anyone else.

Joe the owner was very nice and gave me a very good price on a gold necklace that I recently purchased. He is very honest and has years of experience that made my purchase very comfortable and easy. It feels great to be able to trust a local Jewelry store owner and it feels even better to do business with such a great family. The Ozels are great people. Ill be back soon.

Ive only had one dealing with these people. I was quoted about $100.00 by the owner for what was very minor polishing of a watch bezel. When I went to have it done, I got a convoluted, total nonsense dissertation about all the other things that had to be done first, before he could polish the bezel. He said it would be at least $200.00, maybe 250.00. I couldnt get out of there fast enough. I will never set foot in that store again. Oh and another jewelry store did exactly what was needed on the bezel and charged me, (drum roll)..........$100.00. It looks great !

I have worked with Joe and his Family to both Buy great pieces, as well as had them help me Sell Jewelry and watches I no longer want. Always An exceptional experience with great selection of items to choose from. There ability to customize pieces is un-matched in the desert IMO! Highly recommend !

My wife and I have been going to Ozels Jewelry for years. Joe Tekin who has the store there is very professional and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. It is family owned and operated. We picked up my wifes ring today after having it resized. Joe found a crack by the setting and basically rebuilt the whole ring and setting. Great job!! It looks better than it ever has. I am not happy with this establishment. After a day of wearing my engagement ring and all of the excited staring at it that usually follows my fiance and I noticed the diamond was chipped and the gold band had an etching that looked like the trajectory of someones hand slipping with a small mechanical device. My fiance took the ring back and the solution from Ozel Jewelers was to ship it off to have the gem shaved. Not exciting but that is what we did. It is now over a week and no word on when I will have my ring back. My exciting news has been punctuated by awkward, wheres the ring questions. I dont need a ring to know that I am going to marry the person I love most in the world, but that ring is what he wanted for me. I guess I should just feel lucky that Ozel Jewelers is the one sour note in this AMAZING time in my life. Be wary if trusting this place with one in a lifetime events.
