Wilshire Consumer Credit

I set up a payment arrangement 2 days later when my payment was due. They're claiming they didn't receive the payment when they automatically took it. They are trying to say they are going to take my vehicle when they already received the payment. My payments are all caught up But they're trying to say that this payment. They haven't received when my bank has confirmed it. They're trying to make me pay them twice. It will be a big mistake for them if they try taking my vehicle. I don't think this company is going to last not like this. I hope they change their ways before it's too late. These people are scamming people.

I made a phone call to inquire about a refi since my original loan was almost paid off. Within 5 mins I was provided options and agreeable terms that keeps my monthly payment low. Next day I got funds. They work fast and efficiently. Here's a more in depth of my history with Wilshire Consumer Credit. My original loan that I got 3 years ago, I had poor credit it was quite bad. They accepted me and worked with me. I never missed a payment, and I never asked for any extensions. I put my head down and I built my credit back up to a 677. Now, I have a second chance in life and cash for my startup. Thank you and I am greatly appreciative.

This company is a complete scam. They charge u almost $6000 on top of a $2000 loan if u have to pay it back over the years. Been paying since July and my loan amount has not decreased at all it will only increase . If it ever gets repoed they charge another 155 repo hidden fee on top of the 700 they charge to get it out that u have to pay in the end. That is highway robbery. I honestly wish I just would have left my apartment at the time when I needed help with rent or just found another way. It was not worth it at all. RUN while u can. Never take a title loan!

I wish I could give this place to zero star. My loan was for $2000 which I ve been paying on for the past three years because my loan was 36 months. As I got to my last payment, they added on an additional $2000. Here I am thinking that I only had one payment left of 178, but NOPE. I realized the payments that I ve been making for all these years, was pointless. How is that even legal to add on an additional 2000 when I ve already paid over six grand out of my pocket!! Wr need to find a way to sue this company. They have gotten over on too many people! Thousands of people! And they keep getting away with it!

They are totally a rubber their interest rate is %40!!!!! With all the fees they add on your account it s definitely more than that, they don t care about customers at all. If your 100% up to date and on time no issues. The minute you have a issue they make it 10x harder. This place is extremely difficult and easy at the same time. If you are 2 seconds late expect 50 calls per day and expect to not be able to log in to make a payment. They want you to verbally give personal information to someone that barely speaks english. Also expect them to not be open during their normal posted business hours. They will also put out a repo order after just 10 days. They can do better. Should be able to make a payment regardless of anything else.

I paid my title off in my Freightliner before Thanksgiving of 2023. It is now January 14th of 2024. I still havent received my title back in the mail. Ive called countless times. Once you complain, they just keep putting you on hold for hours. This place is a scam. I will be contacting a lawyer and the police in the next few days

This company deserves 0 stars. Got an alert on my credit about this contracted them. They tell me I had a title loan on my car. I took out no such loan. Sent them all the documents they asked for to do an identity theft investigation. They said they would notify me once the investigation was completed. I never got notified instead I discovered my car was repossessed by them. They claim that they couldn t find any evidence of identity theft taking place and sent me notification of it and they contacted me to arrange payments. I received no letters or calls. They expect me to pay and take responsibility for a loan I never took out. Disgusting company.

I paid my loan off in full on august 4th 2023, and they went ahead and pulled $201.65 out of my account on august 8th, 2023. Even though the loan was paid in full. And now I m getting the run around getting my money back. As if 60%+ interest loan wasn t criminal enough. Do not use this company.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Woke up to discover my car was gone come to find out this company had it repossessed. They claimed that I reported my title lost got a duplicate and took out a title loan. I have my original title at my house so I have no clue how someone would say it was lost. My identity was stolen and used to obtain a loan that went into default in my name so they took my car no calls letters or warnings. Me and my wife will be filing a police report and ID Theft affidavit these thieves need to give me my car back.

This company does not even deserve this star! After reading these reviews I am not surprised Im not the only one who thinks this company shouldnt exist. My horrible experience started when i called customer service and had the most unprofessional people on the phone from the customer service rep to the so called ignorant supervisor. Due to their lack of professionalism, I decided to pay right then and there the full loan. Augut 4th was the date. 60 to 90 freaking days they said. Im going on day 100 with all 3 credit bureaus showing i still owe that loan. Ive called numerous times and no one has any idea of what happened. I am still waiting as of today a call from a manager that promised he would be taking care of the situation. I called him today 5 times and left 4 voice mails. His name Marcelo Vargas ext 44048. I dont think its fair for any person to have to deal with this shi... I paid off early and showing i still owe. I absolutley do not recommend this company!!!

If I could leave no stars I would. Definitely don t deserve the one star I m giving. I have paid my account in full in July and it s currently November, yet I have not received this mysterious lien release form I m suppose to receive. I have called numerous times and get a new story every time. I just want this to be done and over with but my frustration is with management which is impossible to get a hold of. Management does not help to resolve issues like this which makes it more frustrating. I DO NOT recommend them at all.

I had a loan with them and paid if off before time in Jan 2023, updated my address to receive my title back. After 10 months of waiting I filed to get a lost title from the DMV and they still showed that there was a lien on my title. After calling the office and explaining to customer service what happened, I was transferred 4 times between the title department back to customer service only to be told a different story every time. I finally asked to speak with a supervisor, (now Ive been on the line 55 minutes) trying to get this new lien letter sent. They told me that they cant sent it electronically and I had to wait 3-5 more business days after waiting 10 months due to their error in sending it to the wrong address. I feel like everyone in this office needs to be terminated because they lack integrity & morals, and have no idea of what the true meaning of customer service is. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM because they will throw you to the curb!!

Fast and easy place to get a loan approval! We had an unexpected loss in the family and needed funds for the funeral service until we receive the life insurance funds. Wiltshire consumers credit was able to assist and make our loan funding quick and easy for us. We paid them back within 2 months and got our then removed off as a line holder! After that 3 month later I sold my vehicle Thank you!

After paying on my loan for YEARS, I call to get a payoff quote they tell me I owe more today than I did months ago. Then they say Well, if you pay towards the balance, it would be lower, but as Ive been paying towards the balance it has continually increased. What!??! Liars, crooks, and an overall horrible company. There arent words invented to properly describe how bad of a company these guys are. Wolves in wolf clothing. Dont be prey. Go elsewhere and stay far away from these guys. I wont say that the people working there are the ones to blame, theyre just trying to make a living. Its a hard life, though, when you find yourself attached to such horrific company.

THEY Added on repo fees to my total load for unknown fees after I paid ALL repod FEES upfront (tried to add storage fees) to my total and said it was pending a audit 5 months after the fact, they repod my car 2 times in under 15 days of each-other for charges. Then they said I owed almost 3 times my Loan amount after paying on it for damn near a year! BEWARE, they STICK IT TO THE POOR BECAUSE THEY CAN!

Horrible customer service lack of information no respect asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and got hanged up now all my call are blocked and cant get a hold of them but when the payment is due, they are all overthe phone like telemarketers. If I could give negative stars I would. I dont think in my history of being a human I have hated a business more than I have hated Wilshire Credit. If you are contemplating getting a title from them I encourage you to NOT to get one! You would be better off selling your own plasma, sperm, tears, plants in your garden or dead parents memorabilia rather than getting a loan from them. I imagine if you are looking into getting into loan from them you are beyond desperate. I once found myself there. I did a bunch of research, overcame my skepticism, and signed over my pride and joy of a car, and lied to myself saying I will be able to pay this off quickly and get my title back. Then the pandemic hit and soon my $397 a month payments that were paying nothing on my principle were becoming too much. They did not have any pandemic reprieve and my car got repo-ed after I was late by two days after about 7 months. I had to scrape together money to get it out of impound so I could continue to drive to work and still owed the monthly payment. Did I mention it also totaled my credit, because they immediately reported it? I also received about 8 phone calls a day from them for weeks. I finally paid off in full almost a year later, but I had to pay the principle which had doubled what they gave me the loan for in the first place so basically all those payments were for nothing, because it accrued so much interest. Still 3 years later it still shows up on my title that they are lienholder. This company is disgusting and preys on desperate people. I fell for their scam...Please dont do the same.

FRAUD!!! They claimed my husband and I have an account with them. Theyve reported a loan on his credit. We called to find out exactly who they were and make sure that we didnt owe them...because we had recently taken out a loan for a new HVAC unit. They would not give us any information. They would not tell us what the loan was for, or when it was taken out...nothing. They just told us to file a police report for identity theft.

I paid this account off full on September 5th and requested a copy of letter stating the account was paid in full. The representative stated that I could get a copy of the letter on September 8th. I have called and the representative stated she could not provide me a letter that it would have to go through support, even though the account shows on their part it was paid in full. Also when about updating my information to credit reporting companies they stated it would take 60 to 90 days to show. Their costumer service is horrible. I also asked to speak with a supervisor and she kept stating the supervisor has a large call volume. I told her I would wait and eventually she hung up on me for asking to speak with a supervisor.

We have a loan with this company, never missed a pmt. 15 pmts left, 21 pd. on time. Needed an additional funds for Auto repair. 40 min wait after speaking with rude CSR. Even more rude. I gave him acct. # and all info he requested. I was then told my balance was over 21,000.00 which is way more than my balance. The worst CSR I have ever deslt with. DO NOT USE THUS COMPANY EVER!!!! I think these people come from a communist country like Syria, or Iran, There is no options to help you, nor do they want to really help you. Not to friendly if you have any hardship. Do NOT use this company, RUN and run fast before they ruin your life like they did to me and countless others. I ve made 6 payments on a title loan, the original debt was $2,000 and now my payoff is $3,400. They found a loop hole within USURY laws and are charging me 85% interest on a simple title loan which was supposed to help me. Karma isn t prejudiced and they will one day have to answer all the allegations. Let go and let karma find them eventually because they need to be stopped.make a complaint to consumer protective services in Washington like I did.

Please do not use this place. Not even calling it an organization or company or anything because they do not deserve that title. Wish I could put negative -stars. They prey on vulnerable people in CRISIS to make money. I have paid close to $7,000 on a title loan over past 3 years, all because I had needed ONE month help to pay rent/bills. Loan was for $2,500. Yes I understand interest is ridiculous, but my current pay off balance is $2,700 still, even higher. I should have just been evicted (cheaper) than go this route. Unethical places like this are soon to be illegal, thank goodness!

I work with a dealership. I called on behalf of my client to get a auto loan payoff. Hector Garcia as the Representative for Wilshire CC didnt even say hello or anything when the call went through and started the conversation with how can I help you he was very disrespectful when I had every bit of info he needed to pull a payoff. Responding with thats not how we work cutting me off with every sentence coming out of my mouth. In the end I got the payoff... but clearly this place is a joke with no professional assets at all. I guess they dont like getting accounts paid off.

I wouldn t recommend doing business with them, they have charged my significant other, hidden fees, they claim (even after he spoke to a live representative they failed to provide him with accurate information) not only does he have to miss work to speak to a representative) if he doesn t take the call he will get charged late fees and interest) don t do business with these people unless you want to go in debt. My bank closed my accounts after I got scammed. I told this company I cant get to my money until I get new bank accounts set up. B of A doesnt give you a debit card you have wait for it in mail. This company knew everything that was going down. I even put my payment to the end of the month so it wont be late. Then they tell me I didnt after multiple phone calls to them to strengthen this mess out and very rude men, its still a headache. Now because of their lies my credit is sinking. All this could be avoided if they had better business practices. By the way I always paid my bill to them 2 weeks before it was due before. Now Im treated like trash. Dont got to this company.

I sent a payoff check overnight to their lock box, post office tracking number shows it was delivered and they lost it. I tried to wire them the payoff directly but they dont have wire transfer. They want me to mail it again so they can lose it again. Bad service.

This company is fraud. I applied for a loan and they told me to add whishire consumer credit to my title after I added their name. I realized their interest rates were too high and I canceled the loan. The loan officer David Rojas never sent me a letter to remove whilshire of my title as a lien holder and it s been 3 months. Matter of fact I called him, texted him and millions email never heard from him. This company is scram and fraud.

I would put negative zero of I could. Horrible loan company taking advantage of desperate people. In my case taking advantage of a family member that has dementia. Repoed the car for a late payment charges a 1500in fees to get the car back. Paid the fees for this family member then they said go ahead and pick up the car 8 hours away from his home. Great company to deal with. My loan was quick and easy. Had my loan now for a little over a year. Never had a problem at all. A few times I couldnt make my payment on the date it was due called and changed the date without a problem. Didnt have to pay any extra fees. Highly recommend!

They are the absolute worst company to do any kind of business with. My interest rate shot through the roof and wasnt anywhere close to what it was said to be. I lost my job and my business during covid. They did nothing to help. Now Im getting letters telling me they are going to exercise their right by law to get their money. You cant even pay the loan down because the interest rate is ridiculous and they will not put money you pay where you want it. I have said I wanted payments going straight to principal and no interest and that never happened they are the absolute worst. I will be having my account gone over and see if there is any funny business. Every other company I dealt with through my hard time gave me more than enough help and understanding about the whole situation going on in the world and my own unfortunate situation. Would never recommend anyone.

Shady! Make sure you actually read the fine print (disclaimer as they call it). I thought they were helping me out when I had a bad couple months by postponing my payments to the end of the loan, I understood it as extending my loan a couple extra months, what they actually did was add the total to my last payment so I was blindsided with a $2,000 final payment. When I called them about it, their only reply was that it was explained in the disclaimer.

This place is a joke. DONT DO IT! We needed to take out a loan because we were going through some hardship after my oldest son was murdered so we needed some extra cash to help with the bills. We missed one payment, contacted the company to let them know wed be late, but was going to pay. The payment was 15-20 day late an they came an TOOK THE CAR. Thats right, took the car after one missed payment. Luckily we had more than one car. Or kids couldnt get to school or us to work. THEY DO NOT CARE. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I REPEAT, DO NOT DO IT! Because if you do, youll need a lawyer. Their robbing people without a mask. A disgrace to loan companies. Taking advantage of people going through hard time. If you go thru this service please pay attention and ready over everything before you sign the documents. They over charger you they make you pay $5 EVERYDAY that you account is active witch is a extra $150 a month that does not goes towards the pay off balance. I paid my account off almost 2 months now and still have yet to receive my title. They are unprofessional they call any and everybody to get in contact with you even if you never gave them that person information they will still find a way to call. As of today 11/13/2021 I just received my title today because I went to my local DMV with Registration papers and told them I paid the loan off they was able to print my title out right there no wait. This place is a complete rip off. They increased my balance by $1300 from one month to the next with no valid explanation. They have nothing but bad attitudes over the phone and theyre customer service is terrible. I called once to make a payment arrangement due to being off with covid and they told me it was ok not to worry then they repoed my vehicle and wanted $2000 to get it back!!! ...they are terrible Ive been paying on my loan for a year and my balance has gone up. This place, Wilshire Consumer, honest to GOD, uses third party companies that they own also, e.g. HT RECOVERY to cause you the title loan receiver to forfeit your vehicle. This company is a joke. When you pay off your loan they tell you one thing and do another. I was told after I paid off my loan I would receive my title in the mail after 10 days. Then receive a letter dated for Aug 18th and now being told my title will not be ready to pick up from motorvehicle agency after sept 15th. And I paid my loan off on aug the 5th. Ridiculous if you ask me would never ever refer anybody to this company
