I have owned several homes and been through multiple refi's. Abraham at Clear Mortgage Capital was hands down the most proficient, on task, pleasant mortgage broker I have ever worked with. Honestly, at first I thought it was too good to be true. Received one of those generic mailers quoting a magnificent rate, but for the heck of it I called, and was pleasantly shocked how quick and painless a process it was working with this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If I could give ZERO stars I would. I ve been a realtor for over 8 years and have closed hundreds of transactions with other lenders. This is the worst experience BY FAR! Being that I work in the real estate industry, I had many lenders to choose from when it came down to refinancing my own home. I needed to refinance and put the funds towards another project. Steve s communication started off amazing which locked me in initially. Unfortunately that quickly started to dwindle. He went MIA the first 2 weeks of the deal. Once I finally reconnected he mentioned he was hospitalized and on his death bed which I empathized with and we kept moving forward. Sent all my docs and responded to their processors requests immediately! Then the OC fires happened and Steve went MIA once again. Long story short, I am 2 months in and no approval in sight. Zero correspondence or update. To protect my interest on my other project, I had to quickly switch lenders to one that I ve closed deals with in the past.. wish I had listened to my gut in the first place. Requested the appraisal be transferred. Steve agreed, then surprise! Disappeared and did not transfer the appraisal. This company should be shut down purely based on morals and ethics. Here I am 2 months later paying $700 for another appraisal on the rush and starting over. His communication and consideration for others is disappointing and a huge disservice to his clients. I would never recommend any clients or other professionals to them. If your goal is to close a deal, DONT USE THEM.

I had a frustrating experience with Clear Mortgage Capital and ultimately didn t close with them. The loan process was disorganized, with the loan officer and loan processor constantly out of sync. Everything was handled at the last minute, which caused unnecessary delays. The only reason Im giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is that they tried to make it right by waiving some fees at the end. However, this gesture was too little, too late, and it didn t make up for the fact that what I was promised upfront was not delivered. In the end, I had to convince the seller to give me time to work with another lender, and I dropped Clear Mortgage. They initially caught my attention with promises of better rates and positive reviews, plus a very friendly and personable loan officer. But when it came down to it, I had to chase them down, ensure progress was being made, and even then, what they presented was very different from what we had discussed. Critical information, like the actual fees, wasn t disclosed until it was too late. They gave me the final interest rate the day before I needed to close, after already pushing the closing date back by a week. On top of that, I had to submit my information three times (to the loan officer, their website, and the processor), and they still made repeated errors that I had to correct. Their automated phone system also kept leaving me messages, even though I was already working with them, adding to the frustration. While they lured me in with the promise of the best rate, in the end, their rate wasn t any better than other options except it came with hefty extra fees and restrictions, like not being able to pay off the loan for the first few years. Based on my experience, I would not recommend working with Clear Mortgage Capital. I had far better experiences with other companies and banks that were more transparent and professional throughout the process. Note: After posting this review, Clear Mortgage has been trying to contact me, which almost led me to lower my rating to 1 star. However, I have ignored their calls and texts, blocked their number, and I will stick with my initial 2-star rating.

I tried other companies for a loan and all they did was to offer a good deal and when it came down to it they gave me an offer far lower than what they told me first ! My house is worth about $300,000 and they never gave me a decent amount to refi my loan less than a fifth of the value of my house ! When I chose Johnny Lee he worked for me and got me the lowest interest rate and a little more than a third of my houses value and also gave me a few hints on how to get the most out of my mortgage and he was there for me every step of the way letting me know whats going on every step of the way and if anything was needed to close the loan and I could call him or message him day or night and on weekends also ! I am grateful that my loan was funded. I really appreciated the hard work Frank Zuniga put in daily to ensure we were able to close. One thing I wish was better was communication between us and the lending team. I had to constantly ask for updates. Towards closing, Frank gave us better communication. It helped the process go a lot smoother. A lot of the items requested at the very end should have been requested at the very beginning to avoid any delay in closing. I reached out to Itzel Valdez back in March this year to see about refinancing with a VA loan.She said it wasn t the best time but would reach out when the rates do drop and she did just that! July of this year she contacted me and ran some numbers for me and my husband and the timing couldn t have been better! One of many companies that pay for credit card pull leads - part of the issue with the industry. They reached out via text and call unsolicited...two stars as a manager saw my review and texted me to remove it. He was nice but I still think it is important to leave my thoughts. - UPDATED TO 1 STAR - they werent happy I didnt remove the review and have called my work as I am in the real estate industry - yet I am in the middle of a home purchase making me a client that they called and texted unsolicited...they are trying to bully there way to get reviews removed. They did stop after I texted back to stop for the marketing. But the call + texts that were triggered via a credit pull was unsolicited. Attached is the auto text they send and the next is a back a forth with the manager...
