Hello Center Street Lending !!
I recently came across the page of my lender, who is financing the construction of my small home, and I am deeply disappointed and completely disillusioned. I noticed a post boasting a 4.9-star rating, but I strongly disagree because my experience with this bank has been vastly different. I’ve been building my home for eight months now almost 9 … and I still can’t close the deal. According to the contract, this should have taken just two days, but I’ve been waiting months for my funds ( like example I waiting from July 25 … now August 15 no money still but I pay for this time … almost 1 month …) Either there’s no inspector available, or people on vacation, or mail come to trash nobody see it …….many different excuses…There has been so much waiting, and it’s my money on the line. I’m paying every month, and I’ve already had to extend the loan twice. It feels like they’re profiting from the prolonged construction process. Naturally, I plan to escalate this to management and will be disputing these delays, demanding a recalculation and a refund of my money. I cannot say that I am satisfied with the service provided by this bank. There are plenty of lenders on the market today offering funds on far better terms—faster and simpler. So, be aware: this is my personal opinion. I have no idea where that five-star rating came from. This was my first time working with Jeremiah and his team, and from top to bottom, they were super helpful and efficient. I had a major problem come up with insurance issues and a member of their insurance team named Bob was able to remedy the problem almost immediately. Very grateful for him. CSL has been difficult to work with from the get go. Closing our loan was hard, obtaining draws from the construction department has been a nightmare. I am mid construction in a luxury speculative build and I am having a hard time moving this project along because of their stringent and draw processes. I work with a lot of banks and lenders, they have been the most difficult to work with by a long shot and not very builder friendly. Would not recommend.

Jeremiah and his team at Center Street Lending were fantastic to work with. We (partners in LLC) were in processing and underwriting before our LLC was created. They helped to keep the process moving forward while waiting for the state to do their thing. Jeremiah always answered his phone and quickly responded if he did not have the answer. I believe we were slightly over 7 business days from start to finish with a holiday in between. Will definitely be looking for Center Street services on our next project.

Jeremiah + team was amazing, I engaged Jeremiah when one of my lenders was slow to respond, helped to verify a wrong offer, consistently wrote down the wrong interest rate and basically just threw me under the bus when I only had 10 days left to close on escrow. I reached out to Jeremiah on the 7th Feb and we closed on the 23rd Feb (On a Friday) , The entire team pulled a hail mary to verify escrow docs on monday, get buyer and seller signatures on Wednesday & Thursday and they were able wired the funds on a Friday morning, with county closing at 2PM. The experience with Center Street Lending was the most easiest experience that I had with a lender and Ive been doing this business for quite a long time. Hard money lending is a difficult task to find a lender in which you can trust. That being said, Jeremiah Weidman was a person that went above and beyond for my client. We managed to close in less than 3 weeks. I think thats what it was. And they do answer emails and phone calls. They do not leave you hanging. When you need an answer in an industry where people are overwhelmed, these people have the answers that you need for your fix and flip or other products that they have. I would trust them with it. Remember you have to give them a full package for them to decide the allotted time that is needed to close.

My broker and I had the best experience very streamlined and he closed the transaction in Clearwater Beach area, Florida on an investment property. I have brought loans to Center Street Lending since they first started. I recently brought a new client to them who worked with another lender who stopped lending. The first loan package required a lot of data, which he didnt have to do with the other lender - but on the second loan it was super easy because everything was in the system. We had some challenges with the loan but Jeremiah was able to help us work around all our issues in a timely manner. Very good experience!

Want to say thank you to the many members of Center Street Lending (CSL) who continue to make our dreams a reality. I originally called over 20 lenders (almost two years ago) before I spoke to Anthony Charles with CSL. We were approved and lent the entire budget which covered our hard costs for a custom home new construction build in San Diego. We actually came in on budget and almost on original timeline, with all the labor force, supply chain and COVID related issues of 2021. I reached out to CSL again for our next project and we just funded two properties AND the entire renovation budget for both (in San Diego also). Jeremiah Wiedman was incredible to work with. When dealing with big dollar (to me) contracts, it is important to have someone who is honest, transparent and always shoots you strait. The lending for this new project seemed fairly dynamic at the beginning, but Jeremiah walked us through the process seamlessly. What a professional on the highest level Jeremiah Wiedman is!
