I was so glad I went to them. My laptop power button broke and the computer would not turn on and I took it to them to fix. They were polite, clearly communicated the issue and the timeline for repair, were great about giving me updates and I felt like the price was reasonable. Overall very positive experience and I would recommend them if you get into a situation like I had.

I accidentally stripped a screw in the internals of my device, so I've been looking for a repair store all day to help remove it. Today, I called HB Computers, talked to Matthew and Kathy over the phone, and even though they were not familiar with the device I had, they allowed me to take it to the location and examine it for me. They handled the issue quickly, were super friendly, and even took care of it for free! This is excellent service, and in the future I'll keep this place in mind if I need any further computer troubles.

I don't write many reviews, but the HB Computers team did such a phenomenal job I have to write one. I am an executive at a global retail products manufacturer. I travel quite a bit, so my laptop is really my office - all kinds of programs and documents. Just before a significant trip, I was locked out of my computer. It had been so long since I connected to my company's server via VPN in the home office, that the server removed my laptop from the active computer list - essentially my computer no longer existed to the company. Kathy, Billy and Rudy at HB Computers were able to get access to the memory and download documents to an external hard drive - just in time for me to make my flight. Extremely helpful and timely. Thank you HB Computers!!!

I don't recommend. Charged me 75 for diagnosis, promised to repair, took weeks to get an answer, eventually could not repair, returned my laptop more broken then before, promised to update me once repair becomes possible, never got back to me, so I wasted a month waiting for them and 75 dollars to end up with a more broken computer then I initially dropped off there.

Simple fix of wiping graphics drivers via windows and clean installing via windows. I wouldn't have minded paying the fix for such a service yet they tried to scam me of $499 to replace 2 hard drives that have no OS or drivers installed into them. When I stated that and asked why, the owner didn't give much of an explanation and then said that he'll reduce that price to $399. His infamous words of "money doesn't mean everything" is his hook. I did my research before picking up computer because I am not computer illiterate and consulted Windows only to get multiple responses from advisers and tech support that what I was offered was a scam. I went to pick up my computer and confronted owner. He stayed true in his stance even when I explained what Microsoft said. He said he would have diagnosed my computer for free if I called him personally. He was willing to return my $50 diagnosing fee. I asked if I unplugged my HDD's the problem should not occur and he said most likely but not guaranteed. I said for him to keep the $50 because I know workers need to get paid. Went home, did said action only to still experience my same problem. Went to Microsoft store the following week and they recommended Micro Center. Micro Center fixed my PC next day and said it was a corrupted conflicting graphics driver and did previously said fix for free, only paying diagnosing fee of $40. Although HB Computers' owner's practice was predatory, he stayed mannered. I understand paying for utilities, venue, workers, and supporting family, but I am disappointed that he would try to make so much out of me over an easy fix. I am sure this owner does great work with businesses that need help that have larger contracts but for personal work, I would look elsewhere. Oh and they lost a screw to my case... There is a lot more to be said regarding their diagnoses section and the screen captures but It is for their reference of them knowing that I am paying attention.

Great service! I just walked in, no appointment, and they were able to fix my issue (monitor connectivity) in less than 10 minutes while I waited. They even showed me how to make sure the issue did not happen again and how to fix it myself if it did. Excellent and knowledgeable.

IMac was running very slow and I took it to HB Computers for an assessment. They ran a comprehensive diagnosis and determined my hard drive needed replacement. iMac has an HDD and I requested they replace the HDD with an SDD. The upgrade has significantly improved speed and overall operations. I am so pleased in the technical capability of the technicians and the expert customer service provided by Kathleen. I highly recommend HB Computers for all computer repairs and upgrades.

I had a problem of my Linux OS showing a black screen. I sent my computer in and they said that my SSD was corrupted. They said they would reinstall the distro for around $400, and they never said they would back up my files. At that point, I laughed. Why would I spend FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS on a corrupted SSD when I couldve bought 4 new ones with that money? Reinstalling a Linux distro (for the most part) takes absolutely no effort, and them telling me that they would charge me $400 to reinstall it is like telling me that they couldnt fix my problem. When I went home, I installed a different distro and everything was fine. Would not recommend this scammy business and one of the worst Ive ever been to

I came here near the end of June because my laptop of 6 years wasn t working properly. They were accommodating and did a diagnostic test on it. Found out the laptop was dead (which I was expecting). I purchased a gaming laptop for them, where they transferred my old hard drive to the new one free of cost. Recently that laptop was stolen from my husbands car. I called to see if they happened to have my old hard drive since I told them to recycle it with the laptop; luckily, they did! I could get all my information transferred from the old hard drive to the new laptop I was gifted. They ve always been very kind, helpful, and efficient. 1000% would go back again.

WARNING TO NEW CUSTOMERS 3-4 Years Ago - Gaming PC would freeze - Came here three to four years ago - Received sketchy diagnostic - Paid $75 for inspection and repair - Pick up PC 4 days later, they claim it is fixed (no freeze) - Take home, start PC, start game (league of legends) - PC freezes - Take PC back to HB computer - Told that additional parts would be needed (RAM) - RAM they were selling seemed expensive - I went to Frys - Come back with RAM - They take it again - charge $50 - ridiculous, you fixed absolutely nothing - Pick PC up, take home, start game (league of legends) - PC Freezes - I say what ever, give up on trying to get it fixed, maybe its really broken - (Realize now they literally did nothing and just held my computer and gave it back to me in the same condition) Recently 4/26/2022 - My older Mac Book pro has heating and battery problems - I look up computer repair store near me on Google - HB Computers shows up on Google as #1! 5 Stars! The most reviews! - I start reading reviews to see what people are saying - All of the 5 Star reviews are from generic user names with on 1 review on Google - In addition, the verbiage, grammar and tone of most of the 5 Star reviews is very similar - I then filter to the lowest reviews - Every single experience of the 1 Star reviews is similar to mine 1. Weird customer service, girl at front with no computer exp. 2. The technicians rarely spoke about what the problem was 3. NOTHING WAS EVER FIXED. (Chipped, broken screen, printer etc.) 4. Maybe I m just particular, but this place lacks any customer service. It was almost like the woman helping was reading from a script and she herself didn t know anything about computers. They suggested I buy a new computer, which they had available offers for. Not very friendly or communicative. For an official diagnostics report, that I paid $50 for, this is what I received (view photo). I walked in knowing all of this already, when I asked what could they do to fix it and when I gave specifics like what I needed fixing, they just insisted I buy a new computer. Not helpful. Love the team at HB Computers! I am not a techno whiz. They have a bunch of them. It is so worth the fees for the excellence you receive, especially when you factor in the time you save pulling our your hair, yelling at your screen or watching YouTube videos that dont exactly m atch (or sometimes even resemble) your needs. Specific highlights: October, who answers the phone and is seemingly always there is a great ambassador for the company. Eric, who does house calls knows everything. And he is quick about it. I have now enjoyed their services three times and have saved a lot of Advil. Thanks, HB Computers!

My 15 mid 2010 MacBook Pro was intermittently crashing and restarting. After calling around the consensus was it needed a motherboard repair. Based on positive reviews I chose HB computers. The next day I received a call that the internal fan was broken, half the price to fix and I also got it back the same week. Appreciate the honest work and can easily recommend HB Computers to fix Macintosh computers. Thank you Amir!

My PC screen was completely shuttered, and the problem turned out to be complex. When i brought it in, Covid hit, and many part manufacturers went onto lock down. It was very difficult to get anything from them. But HB computers guys remained persistent with getting all the right parts, and making sure they work. I would say that there were a lot of difficulties with my order, and they handled all the difficulties amazingly well, in spite of all hardship. The entire time, they remained amazingly professional, communicative, providing top notch customer service. Amir went above and beyond to fix all the issues wit my PC. P.S. I greatly appreciate you guys, thank you for all the effort and fixing my laptop. 7 stars <3

Expensive screen repair for a laptop, my girlfriend wanted to repair her screen at the end of her semester. They returned her screen with it still being broken, so she returned it again. The whole process has taken over 6 weeks and in that time she has really needed to use it. Unresponsive and delays scheduled meeting times, I do not recommend.

It s been a few years since I ve been in the market to purchase a new MacBook and my ideas about what I needed were way off. These guys know there stuff. First of all I was given information about what would work best in my situation. Then I was given options about what would be a suitable choice for what I was interested in doing with my MacBook. When all was said and done I purchased my new MacBook Pro, fully loaded and was able to take it home for half the cost of what I was quoted at every single other possible retailer. I m completely stoked and not only were they super knowledgeable about what would work for me and the best possible price, they were friendly and honest. They completely went out of their way for me and pretty much bent over backwards to get me into what would work for my application. I can t recommend these guys enough. Fantastic!

I would highly recommend HB Computers to all Mac users in South California! I had a spinning ball of death issue. I previously took my computer to Newport Apple Store and they failed to solve the issue big time. However, it took less than a week for HB computers to solve the issue. Ive been here on two separate occasions in the past, but recently felt compelled to write this after visiting other repair services. This is probably the best computer repair shop in all of Southern California. The staff are awesome and were able to fix my computer in under two days both times and all for a price that was easy on the wallet. I never felt like they were trying to cheat me or be dishonest about what they needed to do. These guys are great and have earned their awesome reputation through consistent service to the community. The staff at HB Computerz was incredibly kind and patient. They fixed my laptop at a reasonable price in a quick time. I would definitely recommend them.

He says I called after hours? Their phone system was messed up. He was calling on his wifes cell that didnt have his name. I let me take their time over the holidays. They were to fix the printer and it printed one page. I was told it was a hardware problem. Epson worked with me and all I had to do was download drivers. Always trying to not match the quote. Come on Amer. Fess up. I called November 17, 2017.. HB computers was the 4th business i called. Needed virus check of laptop, virus protection added and getting printer up. Owner, Amer, said he would match quote from another business which included BitDefender prorection @ $50.00. Scheduled Date for employee to come out Nov. 20, 2017. Great employee, Sasan,, came out Monday Nov. 20th. He looked over my lsptop and took it to the office to clear virus and reinstall Adobe Photoshop & Office. Plus add new virus protection. Sasan came out Friday, Nov. 24, and got printer up. I called Nov. 29 and told Amer my birthday was Sunday & i needed to go to DMV by Frisay. Sasan could come next week. He said good. I was looking at rentals on Zillow and a voice came on stating I had reached pornographic material. I saw free basic protection for avs. BitDefender was not instslled Young came on Wednesday, December 6th. I gave hom disc out of Photoshop disc. Dec. 7, Thursday I left message before 9am to remind Amer I wanted BitDefender. Cortana didnt work. Could that be wiring? Called again. I didnt know what time they opened but I was going to bed. When I got up at 12 15pm and saw HB Computer had called twice. First message sounded like a man and woman under water. Second was Amer asking me to call back. Called at 12:20pm. Was told Amer talking to customer and he would call bsck. At 2;45pm America called and said Photoshop disc was for Apple. Told her Best Buy have me 2 boxes. Other box had 2 discs. I will bring to office tomorrow. Please remind Amer I want BitDefender. Amer called and said they spent a lot of time with me. I said you bet they did. He said tech got message about wiring because he put in disc for Mac. When I brought in Photoshop box on Friday, Dec. 8, Amer said it was Photoshop 11. First one was Photoshop 12. I told him Best Buy went through a lot of boxes before they gave me the 2nd box. Amer said he would have to bring me down to Windows 8. Sasan said it could affect printer. Amer said there would be a charge to bring me back to Windows 10. I had paperwork from Office Depot when I had a virus. They put me up to Windows 10 for no charge. He said he would put on BitDefender if thats what I wanted. He knew thats what I wanted. He asked if I had BitDefender with me??? When I got my laptop back on Friday, Dec. 14th i tried to print. It printed one page and then would not work. I also saw an email saying my Adobe Photoshop password was chsnged on Dec. 8th. It was at HB Computers on that day. I called and talked to Amer. He said it didnt matter. I told him printer would not work. He said someone would come and check it out. I called Jennifer on Dec. 18 and told her i was sick. I called back on Thursday, Dec.. 21 and talked to the lovely receptionist. She hsd been sick also. I told her no one had to come out Christmas week. Then said the same about 1st workday after New Years day as I knew they would be busy. She said someone would be out January 3rd. The owner, Amer, called Jan 3rd 2+ hours AFTER an employee was to arrive. Said he called earlier but my home phone shows missed calls. When I told him his number wasnt there he said maybe he dialed wrong. We rescheduled for Jan. 8th. He called Jan. 8th and said they were busy and wanted to reschedule. He made an appointment for Jan. 10th Young came out Wednesday, Dec. 10th. He told me my printer had a hardware problem. It could not be fixed. He was very nice. THEN I found Amer only put the free version of BitDefender on my laptop. Not the premium version for $50.00 that was included in the quote he said he would match.

Super helpful. Proprietor understood my reluctance on spending the money for an original power supply on a marginal computer and wrote down comparable model numbers to buy on aftermarket version online. He offered to let me stay and fully charge my computer with his charger and offered me water while I was waiting. I will be his customer when I finally replace my laptop!

HB Computers installed network cameras at our business. Those HD cameras works incredible and I can view on my iPhone from anywhere. Very professional and articulated. Their review ring TRUE. Sam is very knowledgeable and polite and willing to help you.

This place is amazing! Amir went above and beyone to replace the screen on my laptop within the same day of me dropping it off. I was originally told that it may take up to 2 days to fix. But, when I explained that it was imperative the laptop be fixed as soon as possible because it is were I keep all my work information, Amir made sure I receive it before the end of business day. In addition, the team is very polite and have great customer service. I will defiantly be returning here for any repairs in the future.

HB Computers is extremely knowledgeable and was able to fix the problem with my computer. I received follow up calls telling me what was wrong with my computer and when it would be finished. I live in South Orange County and HB Computers is a little bit of a drive but I will continue to use them because of their knowledge and customer service.

I built a gaming PC for my birthday and I was extremely excited to get it put together. When I finally got it all set and ready to power on, I got it to the BIOS and thought I was good to go. And then, it wouldnt power on at all. So, I googled Computer repair in OC and these were the first guys to come up. All five star reviews and a personalized response for each one, and I decided to pay them a visit. Dropped it off, and on the next day they told me it was just some defective RAM. They replaced the RAM I got with even better chips and I was finally ready to go. I would totally recommend them to anyone, check them out if you need quick and effective PC repair.

DEFINITELY THE BEST! We have been very satisfied with HB Computers Services. Amir and his team have built Servers for us, repaired PCs, Mac and even helped us to design a Data Room in December 2015. Amir is very professional and helpful, and Kevin is a top notch trouble shooter. These guys are great they save our business and a lot of time and effort by recovering some crucial data that we couldnt live without in a timely manner and everything was done very quickly. Reasonably priced when compared to their competitors. The response that we get from HB Computers is nearly instant. 99% of the time they answer our call without having to leave a message. In the rare case when we need to leave a message, the call is returned very quickly. We couldnt recommend this company any higher.

They do a terrific job at HB Computers. Their prices are very reasonable and they work hard to get your computer back to you as soon as possible. I called them 5 minutes before they were scheduled to close and asked them if I could bring my work computer in to be diagnosed - they stayed for an extra 30 minutes to get my computer in and I got it back the very next day. Great service.

OMG these folks are awesome! My portable disk drive stopped working overnight. Worked one night, didnt even come on the next morning. After freaking out a bit, I googled hard drive recovery in huntington beach. I was skeptical, because my partner had a drive failure a year ago and it cost him about $1200 to recover. Called HB Computers and spoke to Kevin about my dead hard drive and explained everything and after couple of day called me that he had recovered all my important data for ONLY $399. WOW..Simply Awesome. I had a problem with my macbook pro. After contacting other companies and being told it would be couple of days to get taken care of, I contacted HB Computers spoke to Mr. Amir, Young was out and had my computer up and running in a fraction of the time and cost of his competitors. What makes a business appealing is Professionalism, Great Customer service and Attention to details. HB computers should have a 10 or more stars in all those categories. I had a crisis with my computer because I spilled water on the key board. It was a crisis because I teach on line and I could not afford to be down even one day. I came so panicked to this company and was put at ease as soon as I entered the office. I was told they would do everything possible to get me on line that afternoon. I am so thankful because they were able to fix it and get me back on line that afternoon so I could complete my classes. I was so overjoyed. This is a topnotch company and they do a amazing job and most importantly they really care about their customers. I appreciate HB Computers. When the internet in the my house went down, my first move was to call up my ISP. After about an hour of negotiations, they told me that everything looked good on their end. Scheduling for a technician to come out wouldve taken a couple days, and I cant wait a couple days. I quickly googled the nearest computer store and there it was. HB Computers, highly rated and highly reviewed. I was about to get a tech out to my house after a few min of scheduling. The tech that came was named young, pretty odd name for a boy but he was a good tech. He brought a laptop and got into my router settings. I had no idea that was even possible. After a few min of poking around he was able to determine the problem. Apparently my router was going out, and they sold me a refurbished one for a cheap price. Hands down best service in Huntington Beach.

Over the past year I have taken my laptop here at least three times with great results! When I first brought it here over a year ago there were multiple problems with my laptop. It was a mess. Amir and the team are awesome and let me tell you all reviews ring TRUE! Such a reliable company to get your IT services and repairs. I called Amir very worried, to let him know my computer was having trouble and he immediately tried helping me remotely. Since unfortunately it did not work, he offered to come to our office and pick up our computers. He fixed the issues and brought it back in a few hours completely like new. Not only was the issue resolved, but he made sure to answer every question I had and took his time in describing the problems he encountered and gave the best solution at such a reasonable price. Its very rare that you encounter such professionalism, nice work and friendliness all in one. I also loved the fact that he called me a few times while my computer was in his store to let me know what he had found. This shows it is a personalized kind of service and that they are actually trying to resolve the issues! I will most definitely recommend this company and will use them in the near future.

Really good experience here. I ended up with a virus that damaged windows to the point that the computer completely would not turn on, just a black screen, couldnt even get to bios. These guys put in a clean install, did the upgrade to windows 10 for me at no charge (and at my request), and did a full diagnostic and noticed that one of my drives had bad sectors and was failing, so they copied all the data onto a new drive. When I picked my computer up, they assured me that if there were any problems I could just bring it back in. Very friendly and great service. I consider myself fairly computer savvy but these guys are pros.

I was reffered by my sister! I took my apple imac A1418 21.5 inch newer kind to HB computers. I wanted them to replace my hard drive with solid state drive. HB computers are the best! I was wandering around everywhere diffrent computer shops trying to find the perfect people and perfect deal and i just couldnt.HB computers are the best because there customer service is phenomonal there prices are negoitable and there work is just amazing! I found HB Computers during a frantic search for IT services last week. My bosss computer just stopped turning on and he was in a panic because he was unable to access any of his files. We needed a quick fix and I was so pleased with Amir at HB Computers. I called him but was not able to reach him right away, he called me right back, which NEVER happens. We spoke about the issue and within an hour or so he sent a tech to my office. Tech diagnosed the problem and knew exactly what was needed to fix it. All would have been repaired that afternoon had we not needed to order the part. But once the part came in a few days later, he came in again (this time within 30 min) and installed it. We were up and running once again. I will definitely be using this service again in the future. Other services I found were much more expensive and could not come to our office for 2-3 days so HB Computers was absolutely my best option. So happy!

I just recently broke my 2014 Mac Book Pro Retina so i googled a computer repair store in Huntington Beach and HB Computers popped up Amir told me to bring it in so he can take a look at it and so he pointed out the problems and he repaired everything including cracked screen and LED all for a great price and great customer service!

You can not go wrong with these guys!! Amir has taken care of me and repaired (2) iPads. The turn-a-round time was super quick and was really attentive to my needs. He even beat ALL competitor prices!! To top it off the screens were not low budget that ALL other shops replace but rather top tier screens!! NOW THAT IS SERVICE!!!!

Let me start by saying these guys are worth every penny, the 5-star reviews are accurate, stop your search and go to HB Computers. You will be happy for it. While on business my 2- year-old macbook pro hit some disorder and water spilled all over the keyboard and it instantly shut off, never to turn on again. Evidently computers dont like baths. In that instant, both my computer and my spirits died, as I had hundreds of critical personal and professional files -- dozens of which had been generated since my last back up. After getting off the plane, I hurried to the Apple Store, waited for a Genius and once I walked up to the bar was promptly told that AppleCare doesnt cover the damage, but my options were the following: 1) Take it to a data recovery company and then return to apple to pay Apple a minimum of $750 to ship my non-working laptop. 2) Take it to a data recovery company and buy a new macbook pro. The cost benefit analysis, given the options, I was about to buy a new macbook pro while I Googled data recovery options in Huntington Beach. After some research, the number of rave-reviews HB Computers had received impressed me. They seemed both honest and fair. Although it was only 2 hours before closing, I called, spoke to Amir on the phone who agreed to look at my macbook pro. I got in the car and got there right at closing. I paid a $50.00 diagnostic fee - They were able to get back to me right away and took the time to explain to me the situation with my macbook. This thoroughly impressed me. Most businesses just take your money and finish the job, but Amir contacted me every step of the way keeping me updated. First they were able to recover my data from an otherwise dead hard drive. Then they replaced the logic board and imported all of my data back on. It was as though I had received a brand new laptop back with all of my important data. Given the nature of their work, I hope not to be back, but if I need them or encounter those who do, I would be back in an instant. Accidents happen, but so do miracles. Thank you HB Computers!

HB Computers was just the local computer place that was adjacent to where we live. I havent had much experience with computer repair so when my laptop broke down I gave them a shot. It turns out that my hard drive was bad and needed replacement. They did it quick and easy and for what I thought was a reasonable price. 8 months later I went to turn on my computer and was experiencing the same symptoms that I had previously had. I took it back to HB Computers to see what they would say. It turns out it was the hard drive again. Because it had been within one year they replaced my hard drive at no charge and even upgraded it from a five-hundred GB to a 1 TB drive. I was floored. HB Computers is truly the epitome of customer service.

Im a manager at an apartment complex in Huntington Beach, we have around 70 units and my wi-fi was having problems. My tenants were complaining every day about it and I wasnt able to get a hold of my IT guy and so i looked up on google and yelp and found HB Computers with 5 star reviews! I called and spoke to Amir and he sent out a tech the very next day. The tech guy found the solution asap and suggested that my sonicwall and POE managed switch needs to be configured properly and set up bandwidth management (Limit Users). We have 8 outdoor access points. Every thing was done that same day in less than 6 hours! Its been 2 weeks and so far no issues, tenants are extremely happy with no complaints. One thing I like about this company is they did not try to up sell, they worked with my existing hardware and found the right solution. Communication with Amir was amazing and Im glad that I found HB Computers! Their customer service is off the charts and I would HIGHLY recommend HB Computers for all wifi networks and computer issues!

Had a damaged screen laptop, brought it to this place. Everything was taken care of and replace within the same day. Very good and speedy efficient service. Best prices in town. Will go to them in the future again.

Fast and Easy. They were able to help me move my business while maintaining a similar infrastructure. When relocating, one of the biggest concerns I had was keeping things the same but with a more efficient system. That when I called these guys. They were able to set up a server for me, they even set up the workstations. I did not expect them to handle the heavy lifting but they did. They were able to communicate every step of the way and did not do anything without our approval. Weve been using windows 7 for the longest time but when the inevitable time came for windows 10, they were able to help us through the transition. Having a back up now a days is one of the most important things to running a business. When I expressed these concerns, they were able to get us on Amazon Cloud, one of the best cloud services out. They helped us get our office 365 subscriptions going. What a jump that was, from office 2007 to office 365. Overall these guys were great, very friendly, super affordable. What stood out the most was their communication. They always updated me and explained to me what they were doing. I highly recommend them to businesses and residents.
