I just recently bought a house in San Diego with the VA loan. I am a first time buyer and very new to the process. SoCal Purchase Loans was absolutely incredible. I worked with Jason Gill and Brandy Presley. They were both phenomenal and worked around the clock to get the loan through. They were extremely diligent and timely with their work and explained everything thoroughly in way that I could understand. They were available at all hours and Jason even took time out of his own family vacation to help me understand all the numbers and ensure that I was making the right financial decision. I knew that I was in good hands and that eased my nerves about buying. Not to mention, Jason was able to get me a great interest rate to ensure I could afford the property. I was introduced to Jason Gill about a year ago, long before I needed his expertise. Through those first few texts and that initial phone call, I knew that when the time did come to choose a team to help me with my home purchase, it would be Jason and his team at SoCal Purchase Loans. So, two months ago that time came and I didnt hesitate to call Jason. My real estate agent had her guy but I had Jason and there isnt a thing I would change about what happened from the beginning to the end of the process working with Jason, Christen and Brandy. I think a lot of teams can be friendly, knowledgeable and reliable. Thats part of the job, right? I got that from this team, no doubt. But what I got that resonated the most was how comfortable I felt talking to and working with Jason, Christen and Brandy. Our phone calls were conversations and they made everything very easy for me to not only understand but to execute as well. I was selling and buying at the same time, while working full time which made it hard for me to always be available. They worked with me and my schedule to make sure I had all the information I needed, that I understood the information I was being given and that I was using the information the right way. And just to prove how deft they all were at problem solving and creating solutions, they handled a cross country (3 hour time difference) co-signer expertly and without fail. I felt taken care of but I also felt included in the process. I was never just a loan number to Jason and his team and I liked that, I respected that. The escrow was very short (thats the competitive advantage) and Jasons team was able to underwrite my preliminary offer. As mentioned in other reviews, Jason and Brandy are very available for questions. Brandy was very proactive in making sure my escrow doesnt fall apart because of technicalities. I used Jason to purchase my first home with the VA loan. I am in the military and my schedule frequently takes me away from home and off the grid. However, Jason was always willing to be flexible and work with me. I was completely new to the entire process, but he answered every financial question in a way that I could understand. He was extremely transparent with all finances and I could completely trust him, especially when I was gone for work. Id like to shout-out Rene Ruiz, who helped us buy our dream home after a long and stressful process with 2 other mortgage loan lenders. Long story short; first, we made the ultimate first time buyers mistake, we fell in love with the first house we saw. We lost our house with the first lender to a cash buyer ::::: ) : Thankfully, via the grace of god, we were called back because the cash buyer bailed. After we received a second opportunity, the first lender did not have experience with self employed income, the second lender had issues with the underwriter. Jason and his team are amazing! We have worked with other agents but they were unable to assist with our unique situation - we did not have enough down payment and thought that we needed to sell our current home in order to purchase our new house. Jason was very patient - he and his team took the time to review all our documents and were able to get us to the approved loan step before we even shopped for houses. Our approved loan is different and a step up from the pre-approval loan. Jasons team was able to retain our approved loan status throughout the long and stressful process of finding a home during the pandemic and with the competitive housing market. Our documents were updated regularly throughout the year we searched. Whenever we put in an offer, Jason and our realtor worked together to ensure our offer was competitive. We finally got an offer accepted even with multiple higher offers - ours was under asking price! This was largely in part due to the conversation the owners realtor had with Jason to confirm our loan status. They were confident about our loan process and therefore accepted our offer. I feel incredibly lucky that Jason Gill was my loan agent. With his hard work and perseverance, I was able to close on my home in 2 weeks! When my realtor put in my offer, the sellers realtor called us to ask if we could really close that quickly, and Jason called to reassure her that we in fact could (and did!). We experienced some curve balls during the process, but Jason worked his a$$ off to make it happen, right before a holiday weekend no less! I had been looking for a home for about a year, and Jason and Julia was wonderful throughout the process - checking in on occasion, always responding immediately to all my urgent requests, and with all the patience desired for a first time home buyer.

I used Jason Gill and his team on my first home. The experience was so good that it was a no brainer to use him again. We finally closed on a new home. It s been a long search but it s finally done. This would not have been possible without Jason and Brandy s help. I reached out to Jason several times on different queries of the loan, houses we were interested in etc. Trust me when I say I reached out to Jason several times as I have never ending questions and I like them cleared out so that I can be prepared. At no time did Jason disregard them. He instead went out of his way helping out. He clearly answered every query I had and always had a solution. The current escrow had to be rushed last minute and Jason and Brandy worked their magic on it. They managed the situation extremely well, absorbing all the stress so that I could be at peace. Jason was always willing to talk to the seller s agents (on all the properties we were interested in but didn t win) to help with the purchase. I appreciated him going out of his way doing things that weren t in his job profile. With him being so senior he could have very well just diplomatically said no or tasked the job to a team member. I am a very small client that I don t have to be entertained on all requests yet Jason never turned me down and was always willing to help. It just goes to show that big or small, you will get the Gold standard service from Jason. Whenever I had a tricky situation, I knew Jason would have a solution. Fortunately, we never charged me a consultation fee for all my never ending queries Brandy was extremely helpful as well in the entire escrow process. She had to speed up things for us and it was brought upon her all of a sudden, yet she saw it thru. I felt in very safe hands. She has this wealth of knowledge and a solution to every situation. Even though things had to suddenly move so fast, Brandy moved at lightning pace to help us close escrow sooner. I was heavily impressed by the way she operated and if I see so little, I am pretty confident she is moving mountains behind the scenes to make things work for me. People tend to like companies like Uber, Amazon etc. because they make it so easy on the customer and if that s easy on the customer, it s because people like Brandy are working night and day to make our lives easy. Bottomline, if it hadn t to have been for Jason and Brandy, I think this would have been a challenging escrow to close. While they obviously have the experience, knowledge, service skills etc. with all things being equal across other lending firms a decision to stick with them bottles down to trust and likeability. As most of my clients ask me, what is different in you that I should go with you instead of someone else, Jason and Brandy are trustworthy and likeable that makes the decision of working with them so easy. When clients potentially won t sign you up if they don t trust and like you when they have company money in this case it s my own money so I am going to be extra careful. In conclusion, I equate Jason to Sully (Yes, I am a Tom Hanks fan). There are many pieces to a loan and escrow process and you need someone experienced and calm to get you thru the challenging situation. I felt safe that Jason was piloting the whole process with co-pilot Brandy. I am sure there were many others who were involved behind the scenes but you take both of them out of the equation, the math simply fails. At no point did I ever feel that Jason wouldn t come thru. I love Jason s work ethic, knowledge and overall experience that he delivers. If someone speaks to Jason and still chooses to go with someone else, they are simply just an id**t.

The realm of mortgages, loans, and the like is a whole new world (not in a Disney, romantic way). Its complicated, theres a lot of questions, and unless youre a financial professional, it can be downright confusing. Thats why I really appreciate working with Jason Gill. He is not only knowledgeable, but he is patient, and is great at explaining the wonderful world of financing homes. Hes clear, hes more than willing to jump on a call to alleviate any kind of anxiety we have about loans, and has been great to work with. My wife and I worked with Jason and his group Rene Ruiz, and Brandy Presley to purchase our first home and really can t say enough good things about them. I cant say enough great things about Jason and his team. We first worked with Jason back in the fall of 2014, when we were purchasing our first home. Unfortunately, we were pressured into working with the sellers preferred lender instead. Even though we werent financing through The Gill Group, Jason still helped us to ensure we were getting a good deal. A year or so later, interest rates were low and we were able to refinance into a much better loan with Jasons assistance. When interest rates fell again over the summer, we reached back out to Jason to refinance again. He is a great communicator and all around good guy. He sent us incredibly helpful charts to show us different options and exactly how much things would cost. Ultimately, we ended up with a plan that will save us a ton of money over the course of the loan. The whole process was seamless. On a personal note, I want to add that its important to me to work with someone who actually cares when making such big decisions - every single year since 2014, my husband and I have received thoughtful birthday and holiday cards from Jason and his team. It seems like a small gesture, but its super meaningful to us! I would highly recommend The Gill Group to any and everyone!

I received outstanding attention, got the lowest rate, and was able to close in 24 days! Loan was pre-approved by underwriter so I was able to remove the loan contingency on my offer, which made it that much more attractive to the sellers. Would definitely recommend.

Jason was very hands on throughout this entire process and coached us the whole way through. My wife and I were first time home owners so this process was brand new to us, but he always took the time to answer our questions. I am newly self-employed with minimal tax history for my new LLC, but he was able to get us a loan at a phenomenal rate without us needing a co-sign. In fact, he waited until the day that interest rates were at a 50-year low, then called me that day to lock in that rate. He always did what was best for us financially and not what was best for his bottom line. I did not know Jason before this process and got him as a recommendation from my realtor, but now I would recommend him to anyone in the housing market!

We were referred to Jason (and the Gill Group) via our realtor. Jason and his team were the most responsive and had the best offers to give us. What set them apart from the others was not only the fact they could give us a fully approved offer instead of just a pre-qualification, but also their customer service. They were always available whenever we had questions (even during the week-ends and on short-notice) and were quite transparent throughout the whole process. Jason and The Gill Group have completely turned my opinion on what a great mortgage lender should be and I cannot be happier with their service and support. Last year when I purchased my home I called a lot of major banks who and spoke to many lender officers who even with the best interest, would just drown me in numbers only to deliver not so stellar results. A few would even get defensive when you politely declined and would really make you feel like you were a waste of their time. My realtor whos had plenty of experience dealing with major banks recommended I reached out to Jason from The Gill Group. From our very first phone call, the difference was vastly noticeable as I felt like I was speaking to someone who understood my needs and wanted to make sure I was at ease. Jason helped my wife and I purchase our first home (Orange County, CA SFR). It was during the busiest time of year for me, so Jason graciously took all my calls during the late evenings. He walked me through the process in great detail and was there every step of the way. He was very informative about my options and the fixed/variable loan products offered. And he ended up getting me an incredible price/rate! I never experienced a hint of frustration or negativity - he really couldnt have made the process any easier. Jason and his team were a blessing. I was introduced to Jason through my realtor, Edward, in the summer of 2019. It was our first time purchasing a home and we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Jason always made sure he was thorough in explaining everything about the homebuying process and loan approval process. What was a dream soon became a reality. The home we wanted to purchase was a bit off our budget, but Jason and his team were able to work their magic and help us get our dream home. From what I remember, I think we closed in 20 days. I can not begin to explain how great my experience and their service was. Just to give you an idea, I m a 23 year old first time home buyer that works three jobs. Jason and his team made the process super easy! He accommodated my crazy working hours and made sure I understood everything along the way. He would follow up with any questions I had. In 2013 Jason Gill helped us purchase our current home. This was near the end of a several year economic recession and at a time when my wife and I were anxious about predatory lenders. Jason made the home buying process painless. He did not pre-qualify us for a loan, he pre-approved us for a loan so that we could go into the market knowing exactly how much money we had to work with. On top of that, Jason ensured that we were pre-approved for an amount that would allow us to live comfortably rather than getting us approved for an amount that would put us in a situation where we were living paycheck to paycheck. At that time we were able to get into a beautiful home with a fixed 30 year mortgage with a low interest rate. Unfortunately, last year we cashed out some of our equity and didn t go through Jason. The lender we used didn t live up to some of their promises and that experience was not as pain free as it should have been. Fast forward to September 2019. I contacted Jason to inquire about refinancing our home to a lower interest rate. Jason locked us in and CLOSED THE LOAN IN 2 WEEKS!!!! I will never, ever, refi or purchase a home without Jason Gill. I had the best experience ever with Jason Gill and his team. Home buying can be stressful and confusing at times. There are numerous documents to sign and paperwork to fill out. I purchased my first property a month ago and the process couldnt have been any smoother due to Jason and his team. My wife and I were first time buyers and no matter how many youtube videos we watched or websites we visited, we still felt very lost as far as how to navigate the house buying process. Luckily our real estate agent recommended Jason Gill of the Gill Group to help us secure financing and guide us through the entire financial side of buying a home. From the first time we spoke with Jason, he was very open and honest about the process and the things he could offer. I was introduced Gill Group by my real estate agent. Jason Gill is super helpful and professional in his area. As a first time buyer, his team help us from Zero to final close escrow within 19 days. At first, I thought their rate might be higher than the bank, like Chase and Citi bank. But after comparing the rate Chase and Citi bank give to us, their rate is even lower than those bank. Besides, the bank usually take at least 30 days to close your escrow and they are not very follow up for your case since they have way too many mortgage application every day. Jasons quality service and continuously follow up will make the whole process much easier. Both my wife and I really appreciate their help and highly introduce Jason s service. My partner and I just purchased our first home and were so thankful to Jason and his crew, especially Rene, for helping us the entire journey. I just brought a house. One of the reason that we can get the house is that Jason can promise to close escrow quick. Anyone can make promises, but not everyone can keep them. Jason is the man of his words. He got us prepared even before we get in to escrow. He works closely with my agent Danny Hy (who is also very please with Jason) to make sure we provide everything needs. This is important during this super heated housing market. I recently purchased a home using home point financial. I worked mainly with Rene. Rene is very nice and knowledgeable. He answered every questions that I have. Im a Veteran needing to use my VA benefits a second time. The Gill Group was awesome. Jason Gill truly develops relationships with his clients. Jason as his team were awesome. Even when there was a set back, they worked hard to find me another great lender when an issue was discovered with the unit and still got me a decent rate. Jason, Brandy, Renee, Wilma and the entire team made our mortgage process a breeze from application to closing. Awesome experience buying our house with the Gill Group, they were very informative when it came to our loan. The loan process went smooth for being a home mortgage, which we all know is a long and hard process. They always kept us up to date on the process. They still give us a call and check in on how my family and I are doing. If we ever had to buy a house again we would defenitly use them again. They performed for us and I know they will perform for you!

Jason and his team helped us get into our primary residence 6 years ago. Since then we have acquired investment properties and most recently needed to refinance our house. Jason Gill and his team are the reference standard when it comes to purchase mortgage lending excellence. Purchases are much more difficult than refinance loans - few know how to do them right, even fewer can do them well. On top of that, The Gill Group is a bunch of nice people with great family values. There isnt a better, more ethical choice.

Jason is very knowledgeable and went a great distance to clarify whole process of buying a home. Being a first time buyer, I had many concerns and questions but, Jason was very committed and was always available to address my concerns. He helped me save money with smart financing tips. After I got a deal from him, i spoke to few lenders and they were not able even match his deal. He helped close the deal in record time and is in constant touch with helpful tips.
