Arizona Financial Credit Union

I came in at 4:30pm, thirty minutes before closing time to open a new checking account and after getting sign in promptly, I was helped by personal banker, Ernie. He quickly got me set up and I was out of here just 5 minutes after the doors were locked. I was really impressed with how efficient and friendly the staff were and how well maintained and clean the facility was. Would highly recommend Arizona Financial to anyone looking to bank with a credit union in the valley and particularly the Northern location :)

I stopped in to the branch on Northern Ave to open a checking account last November and no one could be bothered to help me. I called last week to schedule an appointment to open a checking account and I was told that a supervisor would contact me Monday about my previous experience. I still have not heard back. I think that this Credit Union obviously does not care about customer service and I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone

Ive been a member for 30+ years and have always been happy with their customer service. I am especially happy with the help I received from Courteney Bleistein regarding a disputed BillPay credit card payment. Their bank was escalating and threatening. After researching, Courteney called them and ultimately learned what information they required to settle the matter and get confirmation that all added charges would be cleared. She not only printed the required document, but wrote the envelope for me so all I had to do was stamp it and drop it in the mail! I appreciate the care and resolve Courteney showed in helping me through this. I definitely am a happy AFCU customer, and thank you again, Courteney!

Closed my account needed account statements for tax purposes they gave me the statements with 0.00 then wanted to charge me. Told me it would be 2$ per month statement. Couldnt email it to me either said it was a charge to email my statements to me. Terrible service from opening the account when the guy thought he was doing me a favor but got charged a 5$ atm fee to get the account minimum back in cash which I never asked for it back in cash. Also they messed up my online account and gave me the wrong username and password so I had to call support and get it fixed.

I actually think the banker really did not want to work and kept saying we had to go to the App I asked can you do what we need she said no . You have to go to the app. I did explain to her I had trouble using the app and still you need to go to the app. I have been a member for a very long time and never had such an issue. I told her we usually go to deer valley branch and came Here because its closer to what we need to do We still had to go to deer valley anyway to get done what we needed anyway I have never been so disappointed in my bank and will never go back to the northern branch again. Patricia was the bankers name and I usually dont complain but this was not okay I have also reported this to the main boss at the deer valley branch as well.

Horrible experience. Closed out a loan and still got an auto payment pulled from my other bank. Called immediately was told 1) they don t know when I ll get my money back, couldn t give me an estimate into that. 2) I would have to go online to turn off an auto payment, they help me set up over the phone for an account that had already been paid out. That s not a small amount of money for me to not have for an unknown amount of time. do not recommend.

I have been banking here for 6 years. I joined to escape all of the nickel and dime fees of banks. Arizona Financial is and has been a breath of fresh air. Loans, credit card, debit card, active protection from fraud, international support and the perks all headed up by very helpful and friendly service!

This is without a doubt the worse credit union I have dealt with!!! You call there customer service line, it takes any where from 30MINS-up to 2 1/2 hour wait to speak with someone. Then the call gets disconnected due to the fact there calls on through the internet.... The treatment I have received in the Deer Valley location is so unprofessional. There management team just doesnt care about there members nor on how one is treated!!!!!! One of there managers made comments on how much money was in my account so loud that other members in the branch could here... They dont care about there members PERIOD!!!!!!!

I don t understand the bad reviews. . . I been with the bank for over twenty years and never been treated without kindness and respect . Natalie (my angel) help me replace my bank cards after losing my wallet . She was understanding, kind and did what it took to calm my fears of having further problems . Requested a replacement card on the 8th of September due to the chip falling out. Called back two separate times, got the same answer that it was on its way. Call back today on the 21st of September, they state that the card was never sent because it was canceled. And they sent new cards to everyone out on Monday. So now I have had no ability to access the money in my account for almost a month. They just tell me to pull money out from a bank nearby. I live in Alaska now.

Had a previous auto loan with them. Had to get a new vehicle therefore I applied for the loan. Initial credit check was done but errors were placed. Ding hurt my score. So the errors were fixed they resent the application, but on the condition that i was reassured it wouldnt hurt my score again But nope it did another hard inquiry and really dinged my credit score.

My god the line to just deposit money takes 20 to 30 minutes minimum and it doesnt matter if you go inside or the drive thru they closed some locations so u think they would have extra personal but no. There are 4 lines for the drive thru but only 2 open and 1 person serving both lanes its ridiculous

I am sharing what I have observed since I have to go there everyday to do my store deposits. Everytime I go there, they tell me that I am $10 or $20 short. First few times, I actually thought I was short and gave the money to them to make up for the short amount. It kept happening frequently and I started telling them to recount the money. When I told them to recount they would say oh it s correct . Today when I went there they told me I was $10 short, I asked the lady to give my money back and I counted myself. As I m counting, it comes out $20 short and I told the lady you told me it s $10 and now I m counting I m missing $20. I asked the lady if they have cameras and she quickly pretending to look around the counter and came back saying it was under the counter . Folks, be careful, banks do steal. They need to start checking on the employees at this branch strictly. I will be switching my bank and won t go there anymore.

I have been a member since 1998, I have stuck with this credit union through numerous highs & lows however, this lastest shutdown of all the branches is a huge inconvenience. No longer, we are leaving. (Oh I am sure the reply that follows will include how their employees safety come first & the health of their customer... yad, yad.) What I cannot help but notice are all the Other banks, creditunions that are all open around the valley to fully service their members. Odd? So, it brings me to my point as to why my family & extanded family will be moving to Desert Financial their branches are open to help their customers. Very sad Az Fed, very sad service that has been just getting worse.

THIS BANK IS HORRIBLE THE ATM DONT EVER WORK THE ATMS DONT ACCEPT CASH DEPOSITS AND WILL EAT YOUR CARD IM CLOSING MY ACCOUNT WITH THIS BANK ITS BEEN NOTHING BUT A HEADACHE TO BANK HERE.

Dont like the fact the bank was closed on Saturday even though Martin Luther king is on a Monday. The bank still should have stayed open on Saturday knowing theyll be closed for the holiday. I love the bank just hate the hours and how it inconveniences me.

Going to this bank on Saturday is awful since the decide to closed other locations. Huge line everywhere, bad customer services pluss no parking space. The front desk appointment setter was super rude not only with us but with a couple of hispanic customers. We stopped by to open a business account and a kids account and she lets us know that they dont open business account anymore ( informacion that is not in their website) and gave us a paper with not detail of the new business location. We left not doing even opening our kids account We decided to transfer our account to different bank.

Drive-through ATM was down and there is, of course, only one. Park in the parking lot to use the ATM attached to the building, again, only one. Finally get up to it after waiting in a line of other angry people and it too is out of order, only accepting deposits. If you ever need access to your money, use another bank. Glad I have accounts elsewhere or I d be out of luck for the weekend.

ATMs are a problem at this location, they hardly never work.....have to drive further distance away to make deposits after hours. ***AZFCU- Thank you for the kind suggestion, i rather deposit at the ATM to obtain the deposit balance right away and with a print receipt. Just a personal preference to avoid any problems in the future of error. Side drop-off box would work for other larger deposits. Please work to fix the problem,long line of vehicles just to use 1 working ATM this happens constantly***

Just called to speak with someone in regards to debt consolidation. She had to look online and check what kind of loans business they handled. Then had the audacity to laugh at me because i was confused by her rude and unknowing personality. There is no need for that ever. Shame on this company for thinking this type of customer service is acceptable.

Initial customer service is horrible You have to sign in to get on a list to be helped But no one tells you that until youve been sitting around for 20min. They really need self sign in or someone at the front nt door, not people in street clothes blended in with everyone else. The end result was after an hour of waiting, 25min off the list and 35min on the list I left. My suggestion would be to call and conduct business over the phone if possible. This bank has very limited locations with 8 empty stations and 5 employees trying to help 20 waiting customers at any given time. my first impression means a lot And this means that I will not be doing business here

I have been a customer since 1999 and until today I have no complaints if we take our time and go with a good attitude the employees also have a good attitude they have never told me no all the time they have helped me in all my matters and until today I and My entire family is clients of Arizona Federal.

The customer service here is trash. Yesterday (we are members of AZFCU) we needed to get quarters and the teller told us they had none! What kind of answer is that? You are a GD bank!

They are all very helpful, and place is very clean. Just wish I did not have to drive 40 mins to bank not Saturday that down fall. I love the overdraft protect the offer and you can get a prepaid credit card to help boost your credit, and 90 checks and credit helpful!!

I needed to make a quick withdrawal from my Co-op account and thought about opening a local account. 30 minutes to get to the teller is far from quick. When I did get to the line only 2 of the 6 tellers were helping customers. Needless to say I am not opening an account here

If you do online banking then this bank isnt bad. BUT if you have to visit this branch for any reason... I hope you like long lines and frequent ATM outages. This bank has closed a few locations over the past 2 years. This has significantly increased foot traffic for the surviving Branchs.

Ive been to the other banks, miscellaneous charges, ect. On 2 occasions a few places I used to shop at were breached, AFCU sent me a new card & managed my account for unauthorized usage, they found the problem and fixed it. AFCU is friendly, professional, and Ive had family and friends transfer over. Only once did I not receive the friendly, processional service, and that was my fault, when you show up to a business close to closing with an hour of questions and paperwork. For the negative reviews, if possibly you saw your part in it as I have, then people would realize its not the bank. We are grateful to AFCU, The Reads
